"Harmless? Bravo, I thought we were friends." he chuckled at the serval, as though he'd just been insulted. He wasn't sure why Yptix suddenly had a case of the stutters, maybe she just didn't like large crowds, or it could be as Bravo was suggesting. Though, he sure did hope he was harmless because if he wasn't, he was the kind of guy who would have to keep himself away from alcohol. Maybe. One more drink first. Adrian was the first to join him with a drink, Lock wasn't going to pressure him to drink any more than he wanted to since it could often be more fun to get buzzed than full-on drunk, but he sort of wondered what the uptight canine would be like if he did.

Lock had almost been hoping that Belial would forget Toughpaw completely, for no other reason than because it was amusing to see the guy in a little bit of distress. But, this was fine too. He didn't envy their leader the task of keeping track of every single member here, although he supposed he would be expected to do something similar now, given that he was- wait, he was a gunslinger now? Time to change his schedule for the different duties, and maybe he'd ask Roman for advice, but for now he supposed he should actually acknowledge his promotion for once in his life. "It's an honor. Congratulations and welcome, guys." After that was a few housekeeping tasks, and something about an ally event. He wasn't going to volunteer to host an all-out event, unfortunately, it wasn't the ocelot's style. But he intended to host some sort of social within the week, once a few other things were taken care of. It was likely not worth mentioning so with the meeting adjourned, Lock would turn to get back to what he was doing before the meeting: working on a cure.

Lock tapped his tail against the ground during the announcements, no surprises so far. They could certainly use new alliances, even if not for strategic reasons he rather liked the idea of having some larger events without the same old faces showing up every time. At the end, he rolled his eyes at the following clamor to for Belial's favor. If that was what politics was like now, he was glad to be in a neutral position.

"Dam-- uh, dang! I take it back, don't hurt me," he quipped back playfully. Well at least the girl could stand up for herself. That was an A in his book, you know, the book he uses to grade everyone based on how much he likes them that doesn't actually exist. He grinned behind the gray cloth of his scarf.

Lock stretched his eyes wide and spoke slowly. "You're right! We should stop raiding, because a kid might show up to the raid, oh or the kids with parents will get hurt emotionally, and they'll also be low on supplies treating their injuries and it'll endanger the kids if they get hurt on their own... And we've got to put a ban on going into other territories, too. What if a kid gets too close and gets sick from us? Oh the horror!" He rolled his eyes. They were going to have to learn the concept of collateral damage at some point. But sure, if someone wanted to claim the moral high ground for the sake of claiming the moral high ground, they were welcome to block as much progress as they wanted. "Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor sounds nice and all, but we're animals. Most of us are literally naked. Who among us owns anything that even has anything close to universal value? Unless we want to only ever target the Cartel, since they're known for actually having stuff to take. That could work."

He paused. 'Excuse my rudeness' was something he never thought he'd hear Blindlove say. Unlike most, it wasn't the 'excuse my' part, but rather the 'rudeness' part. Followed by something that wasn't even rude, it was just her... learning to stick up for herself? There was hope after all! (Or so he thought to himself, sarcastically.) She was trying everything she could to reach out to him, and that would have cut a hole in his chest, the kind that crushes and burns and stops his words in their tracks, if he hadn't been hardening his heart to her attempts for a long time. His door would always be closed to her for as long as they lived in a clan with enemies. Lock was silent for a long while, leaned against the other side of the door, as he regained his composure. He finally managed flatly, "Then don't watch."

He would stay like that for hours, and the moment he heard Blind's pawsteps fade down the hallway would be the moment he opened the door to take whatever supplies she left for him. Only letting her in when she wasn't really there. And besides, she did take all the effort to bring the care package to him; though if it turned out she took them back with her, he'd simply accept that. (timeskip?)

Lock wasn't here to support anyone, in fact he was just here because he knew from the task-giving that Belial was about to get a new look and he was just here to laugh. It wasn't anything particularly hostile, he just expected the leopard to look stupid after this and that was right up Lock's alley in appealing to the less mature side of his sense of humor. "Woo! That's my pretty prince!" He cheered dryly, a smile creeping on his maw. Hopefully nobody got the bright idea of trying to bring the makeover to him as well.

He flicked an ear idly, it wasn't exactly ground-breaking news to him but maybe the kid felt differently and he could respect that. By responding to it as though it were. "Aren't you like, five? I'm not sure child labor is something we should add to the list of Why Everyone Hates Us." But he wasn't going to stop her, either. She could use big words, she could make her own decisions. That was more a matter for her parents to decide.

Lock already had the plague, though still in its early stages for him it did mean having to wear that annoying scarf wherever he went. He glared (at least it would look like a glare, that was just his 'disapprovingly curious' face) at the rat getting its blood everywhere and the one causing that to happen, then to the group around him. They were all relatvely new faces, and all of them he thought were introverts. It was strange to see them socializing on their own accord, especially in such a setting like this. "Not that you could've known there's a ban on hunting rats, but... if you had a death wish, you could have just asked," he teased, waving a claw as part of the joke then placing it back down peacefully. Of course he probably didn't set a good example himself - those infected with the plague could kill rats, so he often made a point to patrol the prison for them, and later distant corners of the territory would smell like burning rat flesh for a time.

Hmm maybe we could have a fluff thread and see how they interact? Something silly like one of them falling into a ditch and needing the other's help to get out

Haha. Lock was exactly the kind of guy to lie in a game of truth or dare. But since somehow even Glasshouse had the balls to play, he certainly couldn't chicken out now. "Me too." he added after the former usurper, taking a seat between her and Yptix. The plague crowd. It was interesting that she had chosen this when he gave her the task of picking just any game, but when he thought about it this was definitely a Yptix kind of game. He'd be sure to go easy for the sake of not scaring everyone off.

He nodded to Belial, keeping his smile he nodded to the drinks nearby. Just a bottle of white wine and a few beers were out, human consumables weren't too easy to find after all. And he'd ask the Cartel for some but they'd probably smell the Exiles on him and suggest he drink his clanmates' blood instead. The usurper continued and Lock opened his mouth with a 'Ha!': "Good idea, Belial. You and Glasshouse should get together." He chuckled as if to keep it lighthearted. Still, too far? Probably. But c'mon, it was like he was asking for it!

The scent of lavender heralded his sister and her very choppy request that he drink water. Yeah yeah... fine. It made for a good natural chaser, anyway. He sighed half-jokingly. "Yes, mother."

Looks like he was in charge of Adrian's and Bravo's tasks. They weren't going to get nearly as.. unwieldy tasks as Breakout was giving - were those even tasks or was he just having fun bossing people around? (Or so Lock was wondering, while his roleplayer thinks they're hilarious.) First was Adrian, someone he hadn't been able to learn much about, other than something about the ghosts of his past or whatever that they'd spoken about earlier. Maybe it was time to see how he did under stress? "Adrian ADRIATICWATERS V.S. , right? Congratulations, it's your turn to run the dawn patrol. 3 AM. If you get bored, perhaps you could do something about that wasp's nest that's been growing in our forest while you're at it." Lock might be there to watch, it would certainly be a good opportunity to see what this guy was really made of. Hopefully the harsh assignment didn't scare him off from coming back in the future. Then he turned to the serval he'd recently met, the one who actually bothered to ask his name. He was the one who thought of the Exiles as an enemy in the past, right? Maybe a task to help him come to terms with the fact that the clan wasn't as one-dimensional as he'd once believed. "Bravo Bravo Amoux , here's your free pass to perform your favorite visual or performing arts skill for us. This can be painting, it can be dancing, it can be playing the bongos. Whatever, just show off what you like."

If he had been sober, and if Yptix was not his apprentice-ish, the nickname 'Locky' might have inspired him to find out how long a dire wolf can survive without breathing. As it is, he just looked to her with hardly more than a squint. "I have had... three-" he stumbled over after learning that he could not, in fact, hold up three paws to indicate the number as he spoke - "standard drinks in the past hour. That's three standard units of distance between my mind and all the bullshit that's been going on lately, so yes, I'm enjoying mys--elf." Oh. That was a hiccup. Cool. He looked her over out of curiosity. "While you're here, I've been meaning to ask. This entire place is a sausage fest and you're still single. Why?" His tone was far from a note of romantic interest but it was just a question that had been bugging him for a while. Maybe she didn't swing that way?

Lock nodded slowly as if in thought, ears flicking forward slightly. So that was why this one was acting weird, he hated the Exiles. Or at least at one point he did. Now, things were just complicated, and that part was something Lock could relate to. But why did they choose to come here then? The natural conclusion was that this guy was either high or he just liked the psycho killer vibe. At least, that was the natural conclusion for Lock to jump to. They did have that reputation, after all. If not for his own sister being here, the ocelot would be far, far from this place, maybe he'd have been in BlizzardClan or the Thunderlands, some place with at least a pretense of common morals. He wasn't going to leave Blindlove here, though, alone in whatever gray area of morality this was. Not that he'd shared this with anyone out loud. "And I wouldn't want to be called insane, would I?" he quipped with a slight smirk.

A brief arch of surprise flashed upon his eyebrows and whiskers as Bravo asked for his name. Another thing he'd never shared was that he made a point of not introducing himself to anyone unless they asked, of course his name came up often during meetings but it was his way of knowing who to ignore: those who didn't know his name. The moment of surprised was replaced with a flicker of approval, then back to neutral curiosity all in the course of a second. "My name's Lockdown. And you're Bravo? Where'd you say your birth clan was again?"
