She could feel a smile beginning to form as Odysseus approached her side. "I'm adding to the crown." She would answer him simply, offering him a brief playful glance. This was a serious matter, she felt a tad guilty for taking it so lightly .. for holding it off as long as she did. Their former leaders needed a proper burial and the crown should have been adjusted months ago. "I want to keep Sekoia here, I'm sure he will help guide me in the right direction." It was normal for members to wear bones of the beloved out of respect for their death, but this was a little different. Aristotle and Neu left, or at least that's what it was assumed, but Koia was a good leader who passed too soon.

Finshing the binding, the lioness would pause to say hello to Tyche and answer Wintry's question. "These bones were from the Reaper before Neu, and Aristotle was his Co-Reaper. The two of them are the ones that begun the revival of Boneclan. I figured .. it was time we lay the wolf to rest." She still felt responsible for his death, she should have done more. She was the fucking Bonesaw at that time, yet she couldn't save him from the plague that swept his life.

"Boneguard it is." She would nod her head in affirmation toward the canine. "Boneguards will host a lot of our training sessions, organize raids, help in espionage, a lot of foreign matters. You're also welcome to host little events and stuff to help build inner clan relations as well, if you so wish." Eva was confident that the multi-tailed shepherd would excel in the position, she had a positive energy that was beyond contagious. She didn't have any other announcements as was preparing to descend from the creaky stage when a second voice perked her ears. Francium, of course, she'd have to give him a proper introduction in the next meeting. "Volary is yours, say hello to Atlas for me next time you see him." She wasn't particularly close with the male, but they both stepped up to leadership around the same time. Hopefully he was doing well and getting the hand of leadership down alright, she hoped she was ...

[because i got so behind, the next meeting will be saturday and i will do it weekly from then < 3]

The wildcat's rounded ears would swivel back with worry, blurry eyes immediately jumping to the creaky bridge. She'd release a nervous laugh, a nearly sheepish expression trickling along her features. They needed to get the bridge replaced or secured, it just wasn't safe. How long before those rusted chains failed to support crossing members? It was a miracle the thing didn't collapse beneath Aristotle when he was here. "Greetings," she'd offer again, feeling a wave of relief wash over her as their newcomer connected to safety. "I didn't select the marshes, trust me, although they've certainly grown on me with time." She'd grin slightly at this, remembering the names of her past friends. "Aristotle and Sekoia were the original Reapers trying to revive Boneclan, unfortunately they are no longer here. Were you a member of Boneclan in the past?" Originally born to Scarclan, Evadne had spent most her life wandering and never really pictured herself settling down in a group again. She sure as hell didn't expect becoming leader, although she was appreciative and determined to help enlighten the clan's dark times.

Normally, those interested in joining their ranks were quite content with patiently waiting beside the border. Apparently, this stranger was not so enthused by the idea of waiting in soggy fields. Paws sinking beneath the film of water that coated their lands, the lioness would quicken her steps to face the stranger. Thankfully, Odysseus was already handling the matter. Resisting the urge to brush against him in a tease as she paused beside him, Eva would focus on the cheetah. "You're trespassing on Boneclan territory." The pale wildcat was nearly certain this intruder was well aware of his wrong doings, although she'd still give him the option of apologizing before she became upset. White ear flickering in a nearly dismissive fashion, the partially feathered Reaper would wait for a response with stern, blurry eyes fixed on his figure.

The sight of distant figures situated beside their border was always a bit exciting. Another person looking to join their ranks? An ally bringing forward interesting information? Generally, strangers were a good things. There were occasionally intruders dauntless enough to cross their bridges just for the sake of hunting in their swampy lands, but normally Ody helped her handle those creatures .. in a rather, unconventional way. She'd shake the thought, trying to blink the permanent cloudiness from her eyes. "Hello," she'd begin as she padded forward. "My name is Evadne, the Reaper here. What can Boneclan do for you?" Her alabaster coat reflected against the murky basin, cerulean eyes holding steady on the marbled fox. What a pretty coat, dappled with blacks and silvers. She had feather's that protruded from her skin but .. overall she was just pale and boring, like an empty canvas. Hopefully Odysseus didn't think that too.

Stained paws would sink beneath the soggy fields, blurry visionaries struggling to make out the distant figures. If it wasn't for Tyche's early appearance, she'd probably have accidentally strolled right past the poor newcomer. Her failing eyes were only worsening with time and this heavy fog that so regularly coated their marshes didn't make matters any easier. She feared for the day when she wouldn't be capable of crossing the treacherous bridge anymore, what would she do? She'd shake the thought, forcing a smile to manifest along her features as she squinted over to the kitsune currently introducing himself. "Welcome, you are correct with that information. Boneclan is small, but we're still here." She'd turn back to peer toward the tall cattails and endless bogs. The cathedral was hidden from visibility at this distance, at least based on what her own sight allowed. "My name is Evadne, the Reaper here. We would love to have you." Baskerville? That sounded familiar, where had she heard that name before? Hmm, was it Akuma? "We live in a large building just beyond the graveyard, you're welcome to pick out a room and get any belongings settled."

This would be her first meeting. It felt strange. Paws gently tapping against the wooden stage, the pale lioness would look out toward the empty pews and fight the frown that taunted her maw. "BONES, GATHER AROUND." It wasn't often the lioness roared, but today she would do with ease. Her early skepticism was slowly diminishing, a gleam of determination sparkling in her eyes. She had to be positive. If she wasn't capable of standing strong for herself, she needed to do it for them. Her blurry visionaries would squint, struggling to make out the many figures that began trickling into their corridors. The sun was out today, beautiful rays stretching through their tinted glass and igniting the common room in a multitude of colors. She was among friends and things were going to be okay. While still engulfed by their grim world, things were bound to improve with time.

When enough members gathered, she would start. "First off, I'd like to welcome Tyche to our little family. We are happy to have you here and I look forward to getting to know you better in the future." She'd peer out through the crowd, sifting through the members until she found the darkened pooch. "If you would like a tour of your new home, just let me know." The faintest of smiles would morph along her features before she switched back to a more professional stance. "While new, I appreciate how helpful you have already proven to be. For that reason, I am offering you the position of Bone Guard or Bonesaw, whichever field you would prefer." With their number count still small, Eva had no problem bumping members up to higher ranks quickly. If they deserved it, they would get it. Besides, she felt comfortable enough with the multi-tailed canine to teach her about the important bone rituals.

"That brings up the Right Hand position. I will be leaving this spot empty one more week." Hopefully this wouldn't be too disappointing, she merely needed more time to consider who was best for the role. "Volcan, this is your final warning. We haven't seen you in a while, I hope you are doing well." No demotions yet, that was still a good thing. "Onto some other other matters.. badges and titles are getting redone, so don't be surprised if they suddenly change. Our alliance situation is still lacking a little, but I would like to get an Ambassador set up for Volary, are there any volunteers?" She'd come to a pause, looking through the crowd to see if anyone was interested. While still disheartened about her minimal luck with forming bonds for her group, hopefully Boneclan would prove their worthiness to others in time. "Meetings will be held weekly, unless otherwise stated. If there isn't enough information for a full meeting, we will be holding a large clan discussion to figure out our next coarse of action. Any questions?"

She'd spent the past few days undergoing the traditional practice of bone sanitation. From soaking each piece in boiling cypress water to scrubbing them down with the coarse salt collected from the distant mineral deposits. It was a multi-day process but the outcome was always worth the tedious dedication. Besides, their former leader deserved to a final resting place. Her pale maw would seal shut as she tried to shove away the painful memories of his departure. It felt so sudden, had she not been paying attention to his health? The plague that swept their lands was devastating to their numbers, snipping away lives one by one like they were nothing but damaged twine. She should have been better, it had been her job to save them and she failed. "May Kiami guide you to safety. Say hello to Aristotle if you see him." She'd murmur this gently beneath her breath, rounded ears temporarily pressing to her head. Then, she'd begin the task of constructing a crown from Sekoia's bones. Handling each segment with care and mending them together with heavy string.

It was good to see a new face among these marshes, like a light at the end of a dark tunnel. She'd greet the multi-tailed canine with a light nod, smile etching into her pale features. Tyche seemed quite excited about this event, a colorful personality that Boneclan was perhaps lacking in before her arrival. "I'm still waiting back on some groups about an alliance, but perhaps we could invite a couple neutrals anyway." Volary would hopefully be in attendance, they were the only true ally they had presently. "I could .. also get Sekoia's bones finished for the crown." The name weighed heavily on her heart, eyes momentarily shifting toward the soggy grass. He was a good Reaper, perhaps if she'd been a better Bonesaw, he'd still be here today.

Hmm, so far Barghest seemed a bit more understanding on these matters, how unfortunate. The pale lioness would grit her teeth, rounded ears swiveling back as she contemplated how to answer. "We have herbs that grow more exclusively to the marsh, alligators to unleash on enemies, and venomous snakes to harvest poisons. I could say endless things to try and change your mind but I'm sure you've heard it all before." She'd frown, huffing a sigh from her dilute pink nostrils. "Just keep Boneclan in your mind. Please. If you need anything, come grab us. We'll prove our worth in time.[" She supposed, anyway. It was difficult hearing group after group seem so reluctant to side with a clan so small, although it just fed that internal fire of determination. Boneclan was going to do well, it had to, she wouldn't accept anything else. "Thank you for your time." With that, the alabaster lioness would turn to take her leave.

Coronation? The wildcat would blink her blurry visionaries, shaking the thoughts that lingered. She was Reaper now, right. It still felt really surreal. While she wasn't sure that she liked the idea of some fancy celebration just for her, perhaps a party to signify Boneclan's restart or something similar would be ideal. They could invite some allies and tidy up the cathedral again. Their Valentine's Day party had minimal success, but that didn't mean a second attempt would be pointless. "I think that sounds good. Perhaps we could prepare our own wine and sanitize some bones for attendance jewelry?" Nothing major, it would just be nice if their guest could leave home with some sort of little prize. This would not be mixed with their usual jewelry, the ones of more significance, these would just be fun and probably constructed from prey bones.

Speak of the devil and he shall show himself. She'd fight the smile that tugged at her features, her weight shifting as she struggled to conceal the flutters of happiness his presence brought. He was absolutely ridiculous. Arrogant and twisted in his ways, he was a monster. Yet she couldn't help but be drawn to the leopard, even despite his questionable habits. Hell, she supposed those were her questionable habits now too. The bodies they devoured beside the border, listening as they screamed out and pleaded for mercy. Shoot. She'd push that thought aside, instead stepping away from the wildcat's affectionate touch. Despite being quite attracted to the other feline, she wasn't sure if publicizing their affection was wise. At least not until they discussed what their little makeshift relationship even was. "We are almost to summer, the mud will be minimal soon. Besides, this is Wintry's name, it has nothing to do with our territory."

Kid? She could feel the corner of her lips curve upward to form a smirk but quickly shoved all traces of its existence aside. This body was nothing but a facade to her old soul and she supposed that she should feel honored to be deemed spiritually youthful. The pale Reaper stood tall, a mask of strength coating her features as she appeared undisturbed by the Warden's stern attitude. She had denied the Sanctuary's ultimatum of an alliance purely for the possibility of snatching the canyon-group's immunity. She wasn't about to leave empty handed, at least not without a fight. "The Hellraisers stayed off your group's radar for quite a long time. How?" The wildcat remained calm externally, gentle but nonetheless pressing, her voice flowing from her white jaws like poisoned honey. "What does Boneclan need to do?" Of course a group like this would need leverage or some sort of prize to buy their friendship. She was still in control, she needed to remind herself this. If she didn't want to agree to Cory's terms, she didn't have to, but she still needed to know what they were.

"Thank you," she would return the moderately awkward gratitude, still adjusting to her new title herself. She had nothing but positive details to say regarding their former Reaper, she merely wondered if she could fill the empty shoes. Butterfly-like nose twitching in thought, the lioness would feel a gentle frown forming along her pale maw. "Actually.." She was almost hoping this question would be avoided, truthfully. Although, she supposed the information would get spilled eventually regardless, keeping important matters from an ally was certainly something she didn't plan on doing.

"There seemed to be an issue with a few of our alliances not being deemed official, so we've had to start over with some groups. Currently, we are trying to form alliances with those closest to our marsh. This includes The Exiles, The Brigade, and The Sanctuary. The Sanctuary, unfortunately, refused our offer. I understand that an alliance between Boneclan and the Exiles might stir up some concerns, but.. Boneclan would stay neutral in the case of conflict, only attending to assist medically or in territory repairs." Hopefully that would cause too many problems. There were always so many loopholes and puzzles that seemed impossible to link together.

    violence causes silence | tags

The female would feel a sigh slip through her nose, clouded eyes monetarily flickering to the ground. It was a shame, the Sanctuary had been her favorite group to visit back when she was playing the role of makeshift ambassador. They were inviting and maintained a nearly gentle demeanor, it was presently difficult to accept the current answers. She was the Reaper, she was in charge of fixing this broken group bestowed upon her. As much as she wanted to agree to the kitsune's advice, refusing alliances with The Exiles and the Brigade would leave them with only two allies and a potential maybe. It wasn't an ideal situation, especially not for a group struggling as much as Boneclan was. They wanted allies close to their marsh, not half way across the continent where information was difficult to quickly relay. If losing the chance with the Sanctuary meant sealing two other groups .. she supposed there was nothing she could really do. "Very well. I'm sorry an agreement could not be reached, I wish the Sanctuary luck and good health." Offering a nod in farewell, the pale wildcat would heave her body back up from the border and take her leave.

"Hello?" The pale lioness would call out calmly, her blurry visionaries blinking as she scoured the distant rocks. The alabaster Reaper would lower her haunches down to settle beside the border, rounded ears flickering in a failed attempt at dismissing her internal worries. She'd been here before, sat in this very location and served as a makeshift ambassador for these gruff canyon dwellers. She wanted an alliance then, she wanted an alliance now. Before, she was acting on Sekoia and Aristotle's behalf, incapable of actually deciding or addressing any ultimatums herself. This time, she held the power to agree or disagree to the terms. Boneclan's numbers were dwindling, it wasn't a fact she could just shove aside and ignore. The group needed to build relations with the larger clans, it wasn't really optional at this point. Still, knowing the personalities that thrived among these lands, it was hard to keep her facade of strength going strong. Rolling her lightly-feathered shoulders back in a small stretch, she'd call out through the trees once more. "My name is Evadne. I come here to discuss a possible alliance between The Exiles and Boneclan." Might as well get it all out of the way, there was no point wasting time on idle chit chat.

On a chaotic day like today, compliments were definitely far from anticipated. Clouded visionaries struggling to make out the distant girl's eager wave, the lioness felt the corner of her pale maw tug upward into a soft grin. The blue-point seemed young, roughly Wintry's age, and the scent of saccharine honey wafted lightly from her pelt. "I -- thank you." She'd comment back toward Elowen, a soft hue of pink clinging to her cheeks from the faint embarrassment. Having come here on business, she wasn't exactly expecting any part of her appearance to be commented on, especially given her mud-stained paws. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Elowen." The white wildcat decided to add, quickly regaining her composure from the surprise remark. Between the domesticated feline and the un-introduced canine, Eva was quickly beginning to understand why Neuhaus liked the Flights and selected them for an ally. They were all so incredibly friendly!

"Yes, apologies!" She needed to remember why she was here. Both Freya and Atlas were quick to arrive, the latter being the one she was supposedly needing to talk to. Strange, she thought that the leader here went by Enjolras? For a moment she wondered if she accidentally stumbled across the wrong group, although this thought was quickly shoved aside. Nearly every group she'd visited thus far was under new rule, she supposed it wasn't that hard to believe that the Flights were in a similar situation. "Congrats on your leadership." She'd decide to comment, deciding to go ahead and take a shot in the dark.

As Epiales asks about Neu, her smile would fall to a frown. "Yes. Neuhaus has .. left. He had some things to tend to and I have taken his spot as Reaper." Perhaps some were predicting this already, but there was no point in drawing out the information. "I just wanted to check in, introduce myself, and make sure our alliance is still going. I plan to get an ambassador our here soon, but until then, I'll be sure to relay any information and probably a few gifts too."

A second Shepherd? The feathered lioness would dip her head in a polite greeting, pale toned tail curling to rest beside her paws. "Nice to meet you, Liquidgold." The introductions were still a bit difficult for her, but she supposed ones charismatic skills were bound to depreciate after years of solitude. The catsune's question was one not answered as easily, her paws shifting with light discomfort. It was a fair inquiry, just one she wasn't sure how to respond to. "Boneclan is neutral but does lean toward the anticlan side of the spectrum." She was a cannibal and their most recent newcomer just decided to slaughter a Havener. Still, she struggled to see her group as nefarious. Instead, they felt like a tight-knit family, with some relatives craving adrenaline and bloodshed and others wanting nothing more than a new stack of books. "We have some members that lean more toward violence and some that lean more toward crafts. We do not harm children anymore, as I know that was a thing of our history, so no worries there." She was hesitant to say anything else. She didn't consider Boneclan in the same field as the Exiles or the Ruins, her group did not actively seek aggression. However, she didn't want to say that and seal such information when Beleth seemed quite fond of stirring up trouble with enemies. Regardless of whether an alliance was made today or not, she had no plans to lie to anyone.

The white lioness's attention would remain on Akuma for a couple moments, leathery lips pressed together in contemplation. Jiyu? The name was not a familiar one, although she still wondered if Aristotle or Sekoia ever mentioned the name in passing. The former Reapers had both known significantly more about Boneclan's history than herself, unfortunately Evadne was born to Scarclan and spent most of adulthood as a wanderer. She'd shake her head apologetically, her white tail curling to sit beside her paws. "Unfortunately, I don't recall hearing of the name. If your sister happens to return, I will do my best to relay the information." Hopefully that would satisfy the unfamiliar male.

Her attention would then shift to December, her head dipping in a polite nod of greeting. She was given her chance to prove worthy to the larger group, but would it be enough. "Right," where could she even begin? "Boneclan is a neutral group, at least currently. However, we do lean toward the anticlan side of the spectrum. We are a small group and our numbers are dwindling, I'm not going to try and hide that fact from anyone. But we are looking to make a comeback, pick up the pieces of our broken group. The leaders before me went missing, died from sickness, and the last felt too defeated to continue. What's left of our group isn't much, but what is left is strong." If they wanted to hear more villainous stuff, she could explain how Beleth just killed a Havener or how she secretly craved the flesh of those sentient like them. However, she didn't view her group as a nefarious one, it was a family.

"Right now, our only allies are the Flights. For the rest of our alliances, we've been prioritizing groups that are closer to our marsh. The closer we are to you, the sooner we can come to help and vice versa. No other group is official, although the Sanctuary, the Exiles, the Cartel, and of course your group is what we're currently hoping for. I understand that the Brigade might have quarrels with some of those listed groups, but in that circumstance, Boneclan would remain neutral. Every group I'm visiting today will hear that, so any group we do end up allying with will do so understanding that we have no intentions of betraying our other alliances." She'd inhale for a moment, blurry visionaries struggling to make out the unreadable expressions of those around her.

She was adjusting. She never considered herself to be someone capable of leading a group, she'd lived in solitude for most of her life. Boneclan was intended to be a little family, a place for her to settle down for a bit while she decided her future. Whether she ever wanted children, whether she wanted to continue traveling, whether her eyesight was a permanent disability. Now, the Reaper ranking was stapled to her name. She was eager to prove her worth, she didn't have a choice. Stained paws venturing closer, the pale wildcat would settle besides the familiar form of Wintry. This was a good idea, hopefully they could get a few other members gathered here as well. Rounded ear flickering in thought, the female would consider her options. Well, she remembered hearing that Wintry had traveled between a lot of groups, as well as the fact that she seemed to know that Ruiner that attended their Valentines party. So.. that left, option three? "Your mother was not a cannibal." But Evadne was. She'd force that aside, battling both the guilt and cravings that surfaced. "Am I right?"

// thank you so much for doing something like this ahh! o:
