GENERAL INFO — *+:☽
( coyotepaw / "coy" / male )
— 8 moons / ages at rper's discretion
— trad. thunderclan / apprentice / mentor unknown
FAMILY — *+:☽
( coldthroat x cinderstream )
— siblings: asphodelpaw, sparrowpaw, stormpaw
— grandparents: creambounce, jaggedsight (paternal), unknown (maternal)
— other relatives: peachmoon, adderstar, unknown
AESTHETIC — *+:☽
( domestic cat )
— silver tabby with yellow eyes
— he's a big cat, all muscles and threats and flashing teeth, and looks like the prototype starclan had in mind when the concept of fighting other clans emerged. he take after his mother in terms of coloration, with pale fur cut by dark stripes, although he has the white markings of his father, with paws that look like they're covered in snow, and an icy colored throat.
PERSONALITY — *+:☽
( dumb muscle )
— follower, honest, slow, prickly, shy
— coyote gives off a dumb muscle impression, and that's for a reason. he isn't one to really think for himself, and instead basically does as he's directed, fighting and sleeping and whatever based on the opinions of those he respects. it usually takes him a while to understand a given concept, although once he grasps it, he remembers it well. He's somewhat shy, and isn't really the type to start conversations, and he'd rather die that give a speech in public. although he's friendly enough with those he likes, he's pretty cold to anyone outside of his little group.
INTERACTION — *+:☽
( about as friendly as the hulk )
— unlikely to start conversations / likely to end conversations
— quick to attack / slow to back down / has no off button
— attack in bold white or cyclonebluster.
— powerplaying nonviolent/healing actions is allowed

I want them to go get into trouble together I saw that revenge on riverclan post in ur thread
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ To be honest, Coyotepaw hadn't quite realized exactly what his brother had in mind when he and Charmingpaw had invited the silver tabby along, but as he watched the other two apprentices, Coyotepaw caught up. Oh, what fun this would be! And, they'd teach those lousy fishfaces a lesson, i.e. don't be stupid and try to mess with ThunderClan. Stretching languidly (and half watching to see if they'd been noticed yet), the hulking apprentice yawned, "Too bad those dumb fishfaces can't enjoy the rocks today. I think they're especially nice right now, don't you, Charmingpaw?"
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ The taunts continued, and almost before Coyotepaw knew it, they'd ticked off the little spirit. He came charging past the border, leaving the silver tabby only a second to shoot Asp an incredulous look before Whitekit has arrived. RiverClanners really were fishbrains! Hadn't they ever heard of the warrior code?
As the RiverClanner snarled, Coy rose and loomed besides his brother, loosing a warning growl toward Whitekit. This, at least, was easier than thinking up taunts: he'd practically been made for this. Let Asp and Charmingpaw insult the fishbrains. He'd deal with whoever they pissed off enough to trespass.
He waited until it seemed like the albino wasn't focused on him, and then surged forward, aiming to punt Whitekit off of the rock. As made his move, Twistedtail's shout was carried to him, and he sent another slow look spinning toward his companions. "Whitekit? Ha, you'll never be an apprentice if you keep breaking the warrior code. What're you doing out of camp, kit?"
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ Where Asp went, Coyotepaw wasn't usually far behind. The silver and white apprentice hadn't been told that he was on patrol, but he wasn't training now either, and he wasn't about to let his littermate loose on the world alone. What if Asphodelpaw said something stupid enough that someone tried to hurt him? Knowing his brother, that was a distinct possibility, and one that made Yoyo nervous.
Parking himself between Asp and Sparrowpaw, and offering Sparrow an affectionate smile, he nodded eagerly in approval of Asp. "What he said," the apprentice rumbled. He was quiet for a long moment, then glanced at Blackstorm almost shyly and mumbled, "I want to come."
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ He hadn't meant to just watch Lamb cry, but what was he supposed to do when she was sitting there under the highrock, where anyone positioned correctly could see her? Coyotepaw had been gnawing at piece of freshkill, alternating between tearing at the succulent flesh and poking at tongue at the strips of meat that got caught between his teeth, when the sound of muffled sobs became apparent. He raised his head, rounded eyes almost immediately falling on Lambstar. She was huddled up, shaking, jaw closed around her forepaw, and in that instant she looked so young, so fragile.
He watched her for a few long heartbeats. He probably ought to go over and say something, but what would he say? The apprentice wasn't good with words, and he wasn't close enough to the former medicine cat to even begin to know what to say. As he hesitated, other cats cat approached her, including, to his shock, Asp. That wasn't like his brother! Coyotepaw straightened up slightly. If Asp went over, maybe he should too.
His determination was shock the second Asphodelpaw left, and Coyotepaw took another bite of his meal, chewing slowly and watching to see how the drama would unfold.
// coyote just sits back with a bucket of popcorn to watch the tears
Name: Coyotepaw
Training Style Preference: I think he would do well with someone very encouraging because he will mess up A LOT before he succeeds, but someone super strict and impatient would be great for some drama.
Other (not required): I'd love if his mentor has more of a dirty fighting style, kind of anything goes. Coy's a pretty strict believer in the warrior code, so it would be cool if his mentor wasn't, especially because he'll be trying so hard to please them.
congrats ren! didn't realize you play duckpaw
i'm so inactive in rc and I blame that on stalking tc for the past week
and now that I have coyote my riverclanner will never be seen again
thread idea: coyote steps on all the herbs and crushes them and lamb gets hurt and can't get fixed and everyone cries
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ Cobwebs were always needed in the medicine den. Even Coyotepaw knew that. They were good for all the cuts and scrapes that characterized being a warrior, and, the tom considered, probably for a few other things as well, although the only use he could think of for them was as bandages.
He was just outside the elder's den, preparing to do some cleaning, when a thin, shimmery web caught his eye. A spiderweb, right here in camp! Before he knew what he was doing, the apprentice poked a paw at the web, deftly cutting one side, and scooped the spider onto a snowy paw. As the cobweb fluttered, half ruined, he tilted his paw this was and that, watching the sider race across the pale fur.
we gotta get a bro thread going

+ soon to be Slate
+ one-sided with Blackstorm (poor guy doesn't realize he's in a haterelationship with Asp)
+ Lamb
star
One-sided again
it's easier to count who he's friends with
Display Moreooooh alrighty thank you!!
though I gotta ask you guys
not trying to sound arrogant and assume Asp might win the MC spot, but should I honestly keep him in the run? I'm debating taking him off since, as much as I love the thought of Asp being a grumpy medicine cat....I also really REALLY want him to get into fights and participate in battles hehe
so i'm not sure if being a medicine cat might bore me out
though im also debating if it'd be reeeeally freakin funny to have a blood-thirsty emo kid as a healer hehehehe
what do you guys think?
I like Charmingsmile and Charmingmumble (it sounds super cute honestly, like a handsome guy who's so smart he tends to unknowingly talk under his breath aH!)
pls we all know that asp as mc would still get into fights with everyone
lamb would have to tie him down to keep him from joining in battles
speaking of, how would I enter Moonpaw into this MC thing?
he's like a big dumb giant and is basically asp's shadow
it's gonna be kinda hard to become close friends with him since he's pretty shy and doesn't really like talking to anyone he isn't already friendly with but you can try to get him out of his shell
so thread idea
— your character insults asp or one of his other siblings and coy eats your character alive
— coy breaks something that belongs to your character
— coy gets a wasp hive angry and needs to be saved
— coy is hiding somewhere at night bec he had a nightmare and is too scared to tell anyone and your character finds him
— aus. any aus. I love au threads
they'll either be best friends or the w o r s t enemies and i'm not sure which
do you want me to make?
pssssssst hey hey
instead of replying to things i need to reply to
im gonna have lamb go get her nine lives and
can i tag asphodel in the thread OWO
ok b u t what if coy sneaks along bec he wants to make sure lamb doesn't try to do anything to asp
and promptly gets caught and returns to camp
tags ✦ ✧ ✦ Getting assigned to clean with his littermates, Coyotepaw reflected, was the best thing and the worst thing in the world, especially when the littermate in question was Asphodelpaw. Asp always knew what he wanted, and he was pretty good at knowing what Coyotepaw wanted, too. In the tabby's book, that counted for something.
Head snapping up as he heard his sibling's call, Coy rumbled, "But I like it." Still, Asp knew better than him, so biting back a feeling of regret, he smashed the spider against a rock and rubbed it off of his paw. Goodbye, Mr. Spider. Rising, he shot a lingering glance back toward the spider's broken little body and followed Asp into the den. "Are we also checking for ticks?" Hands down, that was his least favorite part of being an apprentice, and he was hoping that the elders had already declared themselves to be tick-free.
