Shadowpaw carefully made a nest in the hay. He had lived here all his life. All he could remember of his mother was her naming him, then leaving. Shadowpaw would need some convincing cat to tell him to stay in the barn. tomorrow i'll go out and find a new place to live

Shadowpaw liffted his head. to day he would leave. but before he could leave a smallish gray shape walked in. Who is that? he wondered. When she left he waited a few seconds before he followed.

Emerald had been wondering around and now found herself in a twoleg barn. when she entered a black tom had looked at her. though they were the same age(wich was quite easy to tell) he was bigger than lots of cats. She narrowed her eyes before she turned and left.

(Emeald and shadowpaw are Norweigien Forest Cats. They get very big for house cats.)

Ice hit her egg shell for the last time as it cracked into a million little peices. her blue fur ruffeld in the wind.she gave out a little yelp of joy when a beetle crawled past. she pecked it up before scrabbling out of the nest.
