    — The farm had been his home, it always had, until recently that is. His parents had always believed there was a better life for him out there somewhere, that he didn't have to spend the rest of his life praying for good weather so that their crops could flourish. Of course, he had never really minded life on the farm, but going out and exploring also seemed like tons of fun, so the boy had decided to listen to his parents' advice and travel. A red bandanna hung loosely around the somali cat's neck as he traveled, a little keepsake of home. After all, this was a big big world, and it was easy to get lost, or something like that. With this he would never lose himself, even through all the sights that he came across. That's what his mom had said before he left, while his father had reminded him of the hunting lessons they had had the weeks prior. His siblings seemed envious, perhaps not realizing that that would likely be the last time they see each other. Or maybe they had, but were putting on a brave face so that he would have a good memory to remember them by. Big brother's gonna conquer the big big world, he had told them as he left, wearing a big grin.

It had been roughly a week since he left, his bandanna still wrapped around neck. The weather where he was now was cooler than it had been back on the farm, and the shade of the trees was also a welcome feeling. There hadn't been too many trees on the farm, quite unlike this forest. What stuck out most to the boy though, was that there were giant rocks on the trees. He'd never seen trees that grew rocks instead of fruits. Of course, his perception seemed a little off, as the "rocks" weren't on the trees but instead in the sky, but surely anyone could have made the same mistake. Right? After all, he had traveled a long way, and he was oh so tired. So the kid had decided to rest for a moment, leaning against a tree at the edge of a great blue lake. Taking out the game boy he had hidden in his bandanna, the kid began playing his favorite game. Paradiseblues loved games, in fact, they were probably his favorite things ever, along with music. He always got so sucked into both of those things, growing blissfully unaware of his surroundings as he got lost in the activity. He hadn't even noticed the strange scent that surrounded the trees around him.

    — Paradiseblues hadn't really noticed anyone approach, seeing as he had been slightly preoccupied. Who could blame him though? The Gameboy had been a present from his parents, something they had spent money on, money that could surely have been used for better things. It was another valuable keepsake of his, something else to remind him of home. The boy had always liked games, which was why he'd been given this, so that he could play games without freaking anyone out. He'd asked a piece of rope for it's name once as part of a game after all, and his neighbors had been rather concerned. They hadn't understood him, not many ever did. But Para was used to that. It was just one of those things the boy had grown to accept.

Though one thing he hadn't expected was to be talked to. By two other kids no less, and they were around his age too. Perhaps their family had also sent them off to find a better life out here somewhere? What were the odds of that? They both seemed relatively friendly though, so Para saw no reason to worry. "안녕하세요, er hello! My name is Paradiseblues. Nice to meet you." the kid would greet with a smile, lapsing into his native tongue momentarily before realizing that this was that that wasn't the right language. It seemed his parents had been right when they had said that the other animals out there spoke a different language than they had back home at the farm. Thank goodness he'd learned it, but now using the language he realized he should have worked harder at it back home. If only his friend was still with him now, that guy had known this new language much better than Para ever had.

The other kid's words were simple enough for him to understand, thankfully. She was curious about his toy. That was weird, back home all the kids knew what it was, perhaps her home didn't have toys like this? Poor thing, maybe he could show her how to play a couple of his games. That would be fun, playing together with someone again. This past week had been so lonely, even the language barrier "You know Gameboy?" the somali cat would ask, showing off the device. Perhaps he should try to explain what it was, but really even he had no idea how, in this language anyway. Hopefully someone here spoke his language too, that was really all he could hope for, because he wasn't ready to transition to this language just yet.

Then one more guy came over, asking a question that did not make all too much sense to the kid. He knew what business was, but at the same time he felt as though he didn't. Seeing as he already gave his name, he supposed that part wasn't necessary anymore though, so the boy chose to ignore it. But still, the second part of that question, he had no idea. The young feline fidgeted with his bandanna, trying to figure it out. "To find good life. My family... is this good place? Good place for good life? Can I stay?" he would question, stumbling over his words a little bit. This seemed like a nice place so far, with weird rock trees, but nice nonetheless. And these people could perhaps help him learn English better, which was also good. Yeah, it would be fun. Nobody seemed as poor as his family had been, even if the girl didn't know what a game boy was. No one was starving here, so it was good enough for him.

    — It was no secret that Paradiseblues loves games. Well, scratch that. It was no secret to him, but these others did not know him yet. They were just the good people if this good place that he was staying at, and they were going to play a game. And he was going to play with them. Because he likes games. And besides, this was a game he already knew, so it would be a good opportunity to learn some English. At least, that seemed like a good idea. After all it was probably easier to learn the language through a familiar activity like never have I ever. It was a simple enough game, with easy rules, the only issue would be his vocabulary, but Paradiseblues would figure that out when it came to that. "I game too!" the boy would state enthusiastically, a bright smile upon his features as he sat next to the only familiar face he found within the group, which happened to be Espresso.

    — It hadn't been too long since the boy had fist moved to this place, where everyone spoke a different language than he was used to. That was fine though, as he knew enough so far. One just had to wonder how long that would last. It would be nice if he found someone here who spoke his native tongue, but he supposed that was rather unlikely. He would have to continue his studies on his own, but that was fine. He would find a way to master this language. Yeah, it would be a piece of cake! Actually, cake sounded pretty good right about now. It had been a while since he had eaten anything sweet, not wanting to try any of the berries he had come across on his journeys in case they happened to be poisonous. The boy wondered if this place had any fruits or pastries, but he had yet to find anything. His mom had given him some seeds for his favorite fruits, but those would surely take too long to grow, even if he took really good care of the little sprouts, which he always did.

Still, it couldn't hurt to start a garden, at least then he would be able to have something sweet, even if it required waiting a while. The weather was pretty good for growing strawberries anyway, so that was what Paradiseblues decided he would start with. It was quite easy for the former farmer to find some good dirt for planting, and an npc had even loaned him a some nice pots for the plants, so all that was left now was to place the seeds in the dirt and then add a little bit of water to them. Adding the seeds was the easy part, but the boy wasn't quite sure how he would add water. he should have left one of the pots empty, then he could have carried it in there, although there were holes at the bottom of the pot so perhaps that wasn't the best strategy. In the end, he just carried the little plant pots over to the little pool of water just right outside of camp, using his paws to scoop some water into the gardening pots.

PIEDPIPER - hope this is okay, sorry it took longer than expected

    — He knew he was saying things wrong, it was obvious, but Paradiseblues was grateful that they did their best to understand his broken English. He really needed to get better at it, but first he needed to focus on what these people were saying, and just try to follow along. That guy with the weird question seemed satisfied with his answer, so perhaps he had actually understood the question well enough. The other boy even said this was a good place, which meant that all of this aimless traveling was finally over. He had done it, he had found a place where he could make a new life for himself. Perhaps not exactly as his parents had envisioned, but still he had finished his journeying for now. "Ah yes, thank you. Thank you very much." the boy would respond, grateful for the opportunity to stay. These people were so kind, they didn't even know him and they were helping him, so he could at least be courteous.

Then the girl spoke again, reiterating his belief that she had no idea what a game boy was. Perhaps this society was a little less advanced than what he was used to, that would make sense if they had rocks growing on their trees (as he still didn't know that they were sky islands). But no matter, he would do his best here, as he would anywhere. He couldn't wait to make new friends. "Maybe I show you at other time?" the boy offered. Since it seemed as though this would be his new home, he had all the time in the world to show this girl his strange new technology, even though this was an old model back where he came from. She also introduced herself, which was nice since the other two hadn't done that yet. "You have pretty name." he complimented, a smile appearing on the boy's features. Hopefully those were the right words, it would suck if he had just accidentally insulted this girl.

Two more came over to where he sat, something that quite surprised the boy. Was there a town nearby? Well, actually, if there were people staying here, then he should have expected that. The first of the two spoke rather quickly, the words becoming blurred to the foreigner. It was difficult to tell exactly what this little slime thing had said, but it did remind him of when him and his friends from back home were learning English. "Pardon?" Yeah, that was it, that was the word they had learned. At least, he was pretty sure that was it, but perhaps he was wrong. The other stranger reminded him of his mother a little, but that would make sense as she appeared to be the mother or Rhaenyra and that one other guy. "Nice to meet you." Para would reply, giving a respectful dip of his head. She had said she was a paladin, but he wasn't quite sure what that meant. The wolf didn't look much like a holy warrior from one of his video games, at least not to him. And yet, it still seemed as though it was perhaps something he ought to show some respect to her.

    — Paradiseblues had never been to a meeting before. Well, not really, he could remember when his family all gathered to share a meal and talk about the day's activities and whatnot, but that wasn't really the same thing. Sometimes his parents had gone to meet with the other adults in their neighborhood if there was ever an issue, but the boy had been far too young to participate in those. He still was, which was why this was kind of exciting. He hoped nothing bad had happened, like someone accusing another of stealing their crops, which was what he was used to, but from what he had heard of the beginning of the meeting, it seemed unlikely. No, this was a more happy kind of meeting. This would be fun, or it might be if he understood what was being said. He would try his best to listen carefully, and that was really all he could do.

    — BlizzardClan was quite a bit cooler than Paradiseblues had originally thought. Actually, it was almost as if he was inside a fantasy game here. Floating islands, pretty waterfalls, clan meetings, it was so different from home. He felt as though he had stepped into another world. Except he wasn't as cool as those video game protagonists, and there were no monsters to fight, or cool abilities and magic, at least, not that he had seen. But that didn't stop the boy from daydreaming about this place as a fantasy world, in fact, every now and then he would pretend to be a knight, grabbing a twig as a sword and fighting against a dandelion "monster". He knew how annoying the weed could be, seeing as he came from a family of farmers, so it seemed only natural to make those the enemy, at least until he could find a better one. "Hya!" he would shout, decapitating a dandelion with an impressive swing of his twig. A bright grin shone on the boy's features, and he continued onward to find his next enemy.

RHAENYRA. sorry for the delay, hope this is okay

para thinks BlizzardClan is like a fairytale/videogame world rn so he would be totally starstruck if he found out that Valaerya was a princess

since he's from a family of poor farmers he'd probably revere her and follow her around and stuff idk

i could just imagine him trying to impress her with his english and then it totally backfires and he calls her an ugly cow lol

    a thread between these two?

idk about plots, but maybe espi can try to teach para some english phrases or something?

or maybe para gets stuck somehow and espi saves him idk

    — This BlizzardClan place was so different from his home. Back where he used to live, there were no islands in the sky, and it would be a lot warmed around now too. This was a nice difference though, he felt much more in touch with nature here than in the landscape he had known all his life. The whole fantasy-esque was strangely inviting, but then again he had played many video games back home, when he wasn't busy that is. It was like he could be more like himself out here, like the superhero, or knight in shining armor he believed he was. Or at least, that was how it had seemed these first few days. Until one less glorious moment, when suddenly he no longer felt as cool. Though, Para supposed it could have happened to anyone, and his hyungs back home would have expected it from him. He just wasn't sure how these clan cats would react to some kid getting stuck in a bush.

Back home there hadn't been as massive shrubbery, unless one decided to count the plants his family and other farmers had grown, but he had never had the opportunity to get stuck in those before. But here, in this place, there were hazardous brambles just lying around, as well as a log and other such stuff. It worked with the aesthetics of the environment, but that didn't help much with mobility. He should have expected to get tripped up soon, but he hadn't thought it would be this bad. First, he had gotten his foot stuck in a tendril of bramble after scaling a tree branch, then, as he attempted to shake it off, he had fallen into pretty large bush. Now he had somehow ended up upside down in said bush, the bramble still wrapped around his ankle. "도와주다" the boy called out, before remembering that no one would know what he was saying, even if they had heard them.

    translation: help me

    Angelbeats~

    — Having worked on a farm for as long as he could remember, Paradiseblues was more than familiar with plastic and other such materials. Mulch usually came in bags similar to the one this guy was trying to open, but usually his parents had been the one to open those. Still, he could give it a try. Show everyone what a foreigner was capable of. "I try. Okay?" the young boy would offer in broken English, trying his best as he was still learning the language. He would puncture small holes into the bag with his claws, making a somewhat straight line across the bag of chips, then he would firmly place his two front paws on the bag, careful not to squish the contents, and pull his paws in opposition. The dotted line of holes he had created opened up to leave a large tear in the bag. Unfortunately, this action made some of the chips decide to fly out of their container, but most of them stayed. "Ta dah!" the kid would exclaim, a bright smile ho his features as he returned the bag to Nosferatu

    — One might believe an experience such as the one Para had gone through to be painful, and it had been, though not quite as much as one might expect for a boy so young. Perhaps that was because his fur was pretty fluffy, or maybe because he was used to thorns in his pelt. the conditions on the farm had been tough, far more so than this bramble and bush duo. In fact, hanging here, stuck upside down in a bush, was actually sort of fun for the kid. Everything looked even more magical this way than it did right side up, if that was even possible. And, if he stayed still, the thorns around his ankle didn't hurt as bad. But it seemed the experience would be cut short, as that one guy he had met before had shown up. Though Paradiseblues was grateful for the help, he was a little saddened that he couldn't watch an upside down sunset. That would surely have been beautiful, but then again, hanging upside down during the night seemed less than pleasant, therefore it was good that someone had shown up to free him.

A smile appeared on the kid's maw, as his savior discovered him. Para quite resembled a kid that had been caught doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, and trying to play it off, but that hadn't been the case here. This had been an accident, pure and simple, and honestly he had no idea how he could have messed up so badly, all he knew was that it had happened. "Super powers not work right." the boy would joke, unaware that some people actually did have what he considered super powers. Paradiseblues watched as Espresso began freeing his ankle, feeling the thorns loosen around his leg. "Thank you." he murmured, grateful for the assistance.
