ha. everyone ganging up on the poor guy for having some chips. aristotle remembered his days of scavenging human food on the streets, and had had doritos for his meals on many occasions. it was amazing how much food humans threw out, how much they wasted in a day. the tom limped over and peered through the growing crowd at the lion in the middle, brows raised in interest. nosferatu, huh?

the bandaged feline trudged forward, through his clanmates, pausing in front of the bag. ari hesitated momentarily, before glancing with empty green eyes up at nos, then dipping his head down to snag a chip and trot back to his spot at the edge of the group. he'd introduce himself in a minute.

it had come as a bit of a surprise to aristotle to hear the leader ask him to stay behind, and for a split second after everyone had left, he couldn't help but wonder if he'd done something wrong. but reason told him otherwise; if he had done something, he probably would not have been promoted.

aristotle slowly approached aleksei after the meeting area had cleared, pausing a few feet away from his leader. he kept silent, slowly sitting himself down instead of speaking, simply holding his weary gaze on the dragon.

    / BEST TEAM

aristotle approached silently, keeping a generous distance from the group, but still able to listen in. he watched seoul with only a little interest; the hesitant 'please' he found a bit amusing, but made no attempt to express it. the injured tom simply twitched an ear and spoke up from where he stood a few feet away. "aristotle. welcome to blizzardclan." a plain, emotionless greeting, but a greeting nonetheless. perhaps he would have acted a bit more welcoming if he was in a better state, but... oh well. ari watched the tiger with weary eyes before glancing over his other clanmates.

oh, of course. he probably should have expected to have this conversation eventually. though he was still a bit surprised by the question. aristotle shifted his weight from paw to paw, wincing a bit as he put too much on one, until finally he sighed,"no. just that they were blackheart." he kept his gaze on aleksei for some time, before finally dropping it to the ground, almost in shame. he still hadn't recovered from the attack; emotionally or physically. bitterness nipped at his heart from time to time, but there was nothing he could really do to calm it. couldn't kill his attacker if he couldn't remember who it was, now could he?

ari glanced at rosemont when he waved to him, before looking away almost sheepishly. he didn't quite understand why the other liked him, or why he returned the feelings. they had hung out a few times before, but the slytherin knew only a small amount about him. it seemed to be enough for him to take a liking to him, though, even if it didn't make sense to aristotle. at the mention of groups, his first choice was obviously rosemont, but apparently he'd been lost in his thoughts for too long; the other had a partner already.

he shifted his weight from one leg to another, frowning under his mask at clove. but hey, piper said there'd be a group of three, and aristotle didn't know or like anyone else here, so why not. without saying a word, he edged closer to rosemont and clove, hovering behind his one-armed friend. a gesture that said 'i'm coming with you whether you like it or not'. the slytherin tugged his cloak closer to himself as he listened to the two chat about what they wanted to find, not bothering to add anything to the conversation. he didn't really care about what was in the forest, if he was being honest. he was just in it to do something more interesting than reading all night.

YEAH im so glad its not humid that would suck absolute ass

tennessee is the same tho, i love visiting my grandparents and all but literally the humidity is like 100% and itll be like 90 degrees too and HNNGGG

ideas... it wasn't much help that aristotle was possibly the laziest person in blizzardclan, so ideas of what to do were in short stock. the tom shifted slightly where he lay, looking over the water thoughtfully. "i'd suggest a walk, but you seem to be having enough trouble just sitting." a bit of a teasing tone slipped into the otherwise blunt statement. he met rosemont's eyes for a moment, nose twitching as he tried to think of something else. he sat up with a sigh, paws stretching out in front of him. "i dunno. i could catch us something to eat?" he mumbled out. though he didn't think he would be able to catch anything big enough to completely sate rosemont, he could at least catch them both a rabbit or something. a little picnic was better than nothing he supposed.

he was getting tired of these damn bandages.

they covered almost his entire body, focusing primarily on his face. he could barely breath with them on. there was only a bit of slack in them to allow him to eat, but he hadn't bothered trying ever since he'd woken up in the medic's den. he was in agony all the time. why did this have to happen? aristotle snarled under his breath, lifting a paw, and bringing it down on the bandages wrapped around his chest. then to the ones around his legs, and the rest of his torso. he tore them ruthlessly off of himself, ripping off every last piece of it despite the pain it brought.

finally, only the ones on his face remained, where the damage was the worst. he hesitated. he knew it was bad; but how bad? he hadn't seen himself without the sort of mask just yet. deep down he knew he looked like a monster, body ridden with awful scars, one leg barely in working condition. aristotle remembered the day he was attacked. the blackheart had sunk her teeth into the side of his maw and torn away, taking a generous amount of flesh from his face. the tom's paw hovered over the spot, and beneath the bandages, he grimaced. he wasn't ready to show the extent of his injuries. wasn't ready for his clanmates to stare at him, wasn't ready for the future questions. but it would all come eventually, whether he liked it or not, and he couldn't hide it forever.

ari shut his eyes tight and snagged his claws over the wrappings and tore, dropping the cloth to the ground. blood oozed from somewhere on his face, dripping into the pile of bandages and staining them red.

he exhaled slowly and turned his head up to the sky, taking in the deepest breath he'd had since the attack. satisfied, aristotle stood and trudged into camp, headed straight for the small pool of water, where he slowly settled down beside. he slowly turned his eyes down to the water; his reflection stared right back, face mangled and slightly matted with blood. so, this was him now. ari clenched his jaw and looked away.

    monster.

ah... drawing attention already. the tom turned his face away from sundance as she approached, ears flattening against his head. "i noticed." aristotle rumbled. his nose twitched as a drop of blood fell from his face and onto the dirt, staining the ground red. he didn't care about the bleeding. he just cared about what he had become.
