    Felix

Felix snarled, baring his fangs. “You sick coward. Why’d you even hurt her? Do you even have a reason?” The tuxedo reared his head back, dodging the blow to his ears, but took another tear at the muzzle, where his open wound widened.

Oh god. That was starting to get serious. It would take a while for that one to heal. Canary would probably scold him for getting into a fight over this. Felix wouldn’t hear a word of it though. His attack was completely justified.

Attempting to snap at Revolution again, he’d try to nip at the other male’s shoulder, while clawing at anywhere he could reach. He just wanted to cause pain. Rev was going to pay for what he did and more.

// lmao they’re going to kill eachother. Also big mood haha

// Clover: oops sorry for pissing ur dad off by capturing you

    Felix

Felix was getting real tired of BloodClan. Real tired of all the pain and blood and sleepless nights. He was getting real tired of all the secrets and lies. Real tired of not being able to do anything at all. Tired of being tired.

And the only one he knew that wasn’t caught up in the blood thirst and stuff was his best friend Minnow. Though he was getting tired of even him not being able to help her. He tried. He’d bring her food and try to make her eat. He’d stay nearby to make sure Rev wasn’t nearby. But... Felix didn’t know. He wasn’t sure if he was just being super overprotective or annoying. He wasn’t just... really really worried.

Carrying a mouse over to his caramel and white furred friend, he dropped it.

“Hey. Dyou wanna bite? I’m kinda full, but I don’t waste it” Felix explained. A lie. Though he figured it would at least make Minnow feel better about eating some.

    She’s a weakling. She’d never be a Bloodclanner.

Felix faltered in his attack for a moment, amber eyes wide. What kind of bloody reason was that!? It was an idiotic excuse, and completely unreasonable. Not that a Rev needed a good reason to hurt someone else.

But. He was half-right. She wasn’t weak. She was strong in a way Felix never could be, but she could never really be a true BloodClanner. Rev could. Felix could. But not Minnow. And that didn’t make her weak. If anything, resisting the pressures made her strong. By who would see it that way? Certainly not Revolution. And many of their clanmates would also agree that Minnow was weak.

Claws and teeth made contact drawing more blood. More blood. The crimson liquid was everywhere. It was on his paws, soaking his muzzle, streamed along his limbs. Felix probably looked more red than white at this point.

Before Felix could advance his attack, Rev had his paws on the trainee’s shoulders, and before he knew it he was being clawed at, even more blood spilling from him. He should have felt pain, but the rush of adrenaline was so powerful, he hardly noticed it.

In retaliation, the boy attempted to just slash at Rev’s face, to try to just have his claws catch onto anything at all.

//oh snap, Felix would definitely stop if Min threatened to! Lmao he just wants for her to be okay, even tho sometimes he definitely makes things worse.

The tustle with Rev? Yeah. It left him pretty banged up. He had a really messed up scar on his muzzle, and though most of his wounds were healing just fine, new scars had littered his body. Oh jeez he looked like an actual BloodClanner. The boy self consciously wrapped tail around a scar on his leg. He wasn’t sure why. The tuxedo should have been proud of his scars.. right? And he’d gotten them while fighting Rev. Which made him feel a bit better about them. That dirty two-faced, narcissistic-

Oh? Minnow shook her head and refused the mouse, snapping the trainee back into reality. Oh. Felix sighed, when she turned away the food, but didn’t push it. If she said she’d already eaten, she’d already eaten. No point in pressing the matter if it wouldn’t lead anywhere.

“Alright. I’ll see if Elk wants it later” he shrugged, trying to keep his expression indifferent.

A moment of unsure silence hung in the air, and Minnow asked Felix if he wanted to talk.

    Did he?

Sort of. They needed to clear some stuff up. Like about the.. broken promises.

Those promises were supposed to help Felix and Minnow. They were supposed to help. But.. neither had kept them.

Maybe it was foolish of them to believe they could follow such unrealistic goals.

“Uh yeah. Um.. that’s probably be best.” The male confirmed, glancing away. Jeez, keep it together Fel..

“So. Uh, has Rev hurt you at all? Like, since the um, fight?” The tuxedo ventured, his claws flexing a little at the thought. He better not have.

    Felix

Felix slipped into the crowd of gathering cats, though he chose to sit alon, rather than his usual spot, as he studied his uncle, Caledon carefully.

What would he have to say? Felix sat quietly, amber eyes remaining on the leader.

And yes, meetings were of course, always full of surprises. Always full of shocking news, or warnings. Of challenges or promises.

But what Felix heard next, was a whole other story.

    Caledon. He was..

    He was stepping down.

Stumbling, the tuxedo’s amber eyes widened, large orbs still trained on Caledon.

He was.. he was really stepping down? Was this even real?

The whole situation seemed so surreal. Unthinkable.

Caledon had been leader for moons and moons before Felix was born. Moons and moons before others in the room were born as well. Moons and moons and now? It was just.. stopping?

The words sort of just lingered in the air, and it took Felix a moment to attempt to digest what Caledon has just said.

Oh. The boy lowered his head, paying Caledon his last respects while the male was leader. Cal. Uncle Cal. He’d blown the whole of BloodClan away. He’d been apart of something so huge, even Felix couldn’t begin to grasp it all. He’d moved everyone.

Aunt Waspwing.. she was leader now.

Gathering whatever wits he had about him, the tuxedo tried for a smile. “Congrats” He mewed, after Caledon has spoken his own. “You’re going to do great” the boy nudged his aunt lightly.

Felix was stunned. BloodClan was going to be so different. A shift in leadership was always shocking and full of surprises. But he was hopeful. Because even if Caledon left such large paw-prints to fill, Felix was sure that his aunt would blow everyone away.

Thoughts interrupted, the tuxedo turned his head to look at Dualkit. The one who’d helped hold Duckpaw down. The one who’d torn an eye out of a SkyClanner.

She’d... she’d said something rude and disrespectful.. but, it was a question everyone most likely had on their minds.

What next for Caledon? What now?

Felix sighed, both relief and satisfaction washing over him. He kinda didn’t expect Rev to hurt Minnow again, but he wanted to be sure. Though she’d lied to him once about this. Would she lie again?

Amber eyes studying the younger girl, he hesitated. “Are you sure? Or are you..” lying?

Felix didn’t say it aloud, but the word hung in the air. He felt bad for accusing her, but he wasn’t sure she’d even tell him.

Minnow continued speaking, and Felix narrowed his eyes. What? He’d done that because he wanted Rev to just leave her alone. He tustled with the irritating runt because he wanted to like..avenge her.

“What? Are you serious? That was.. that was my choice” He mewed, feeling stung that she was telling him he shouldn’t have fought Rev. “I was just trying to help. I didn’t want that idiot to keep bothering you, for no good reason at all. It wasn’t fair. It was weak of him to bully you. It was cowardly, and dumb, and awful. But it’s over..like you said. Isn’t that a good thing?” he asked. Why did he have to justify himself? Wasn’t she grateful? She wasn’t going to get bullied anymore. It was over. Felix was confused and hurt that she couldn’t seem to appreciate or understand that.

    Ugh. Gross.

Felix felt his mouth twitch with distaste. A child? Really? And it was a skinny thing too.

The tuxedo lingered nearby, watching the capture with irritation and disgust. It was gross. That Rev could hurt such a tiny kitten. Wasn’t there a rule against that? A law? Felix’s amber eyes narrowed.

Of course the cowardly runt could only capture a stammering kitten. Of course. And that probably meant the world to Rev or something, even though it was hardly an accomplishment.

Eyeing the yellow tabby wearily, Felix mouth twitched. Distasteful. But he wasn’t going to interfere. Rev could have his dumb little game with a tiny half-starved kitten.

    Night patrol? With Mama Jail?

Uh, how could he refuse that?

The stocky tuxedo approached his mother, and a small grin on sat on his maw.

“I’ve gotcha, Mum. I know you need protection and all, so I’m here to help” the boy grinned lazily, nudging her playfully.

Especially now that he was a guard, it’d also be really good for him to get more involved in this stuff. Night patrols weren’t usually something he’d participate in. But who knew? Somethin neat might happen while they were out.

Felix felt immediate guilt crash over him, after he’d implied that she was lying. She... Minnow was probably telling the truth. She didn’t look like she was lying. And what did she have to gain?

She doesn’t want you to fight him again

Amber eyes lowering, Felix self-consciously turned his scarred muzzle away. It used to look nice. A soft white muzzle without a dent or scratch to be seen. Now it was all ugly and ruined. But he didn’t care. It didn’t matter.

“Okay.. as long as he’s not doing anything” Felix sighed, giving in. Shoulders slumping, the male felt uncomfortable in his own fur. He usually felt so relaxed and himself when he was with Minnow. Now he felt like he’d done something wrong.

The caramel and white girl continued, hesitantly, but Felix could tell she meant each word.

“Fine? You were fine? Min, you passed out from not eating enough!” he exclaimed. “I know that scratch wasn’t all he did. That..ugh. I know he had to have said something.” The boy’s amber eyes trailed back to Minnow.

“Physical bullying is usually paired with mental or emotion bullying, I think” he mewed. “That rat.. he probably told you not to eat or something” Felix flexed his claws furiously. God. He wanted to tear that ugly runt up, but glanced at Minnow again, unsheathing his claws.

“Good. He deserved it. He was half-blind to what he was doing anyway” He mewed bitterly, feeling no remorse or sympathy for what he had done to Rev.

“And I’m fine. He didn’t even hurt me that badly anyway” He mewed irritably, remembering when he had approaching Canary with his torn up muzzle and leg.

Sighing, the boy just shook his head.

“I have to be overprotective. I have to protect you, because who else is going to, huh? You don’t have any family here. And there’s so many bad people living in BloodClan. You shouldn’t.. you shouldn’t be here” He mewed quietly. “I’m sorry, Min. You can’t.. you can’t take care of yourself here. You’re not even eating enough. You should just.. go live somewhere nice. Like a two-leg home or in a forest clan, I don’t know” he finished, feeling more tired than angry at that moment.

    Felix

Felix stared at his crimson splattered paw, and then up at Revolution’s face, an expression of horror falling onto the tuxedo.

No.. not horror. He didn’t feel bad about.. what he did. It was more like. He felt avenged? Justified? He did a good thing. He won. Right?

Felix sort of just stared at Revolution, and didn’t make a move to keep attacking.

    He just.

    Stared.

Minnow ran forward, and Felix was still staring.

    What just happened..?

He. He messed up Rev’s eye. Probably permanently.

And Felix still didn’t know what to say. The adrenaline was slowly dying down, and he only continued to watch Revolution clutch his eye tightly.

    I did that.

And Felix was scared. Because he didn’t feel the slightest bit of guilt.
