With a lash of his tail, he knew following the tom was pointless. It should be worked out amongst the Muharibs themselves. He already knew Rosethorn would volunteer after Hawkwatcher, always ready to please her. He then decided he'd take the night shift. He glanced toward the entrance of the camp, hearing Hawkwatcher speaking but quickly turned back to the camp. They will need food, but he couldn't dare leave camp and risk exhausting himself. He instead turned to Morningsun and sat next to her, tail curling over his paws. "We're going to need food. We should send out small patrols to go within a certain distance to hunt. We can't risk them being too far, but we will be needing the extra strength for our subordinates and injured. I can help organize them," He meowed. His nerves were wild, but this was no time for his silly obsession or whatever it was he had.

Rosethorn gave a sharp snarl when Runestar left and lashed her tail. She walked up to Hawkwatcher, meowing determinedly, "I'll take the next shift so you can rest." She paused when Irispetal approached and dipped her head to the tom, making room so he could pass.

Stonegaze slipped out of the reeds and laid next to Stormpaw, trying to keep his distance but close enough that he hoped his warm pelt would comfort her. He wasn't good with emotions, and he didn't know what the matter was, but he wanted to try and help. He gave a soft, concerned and perhaps awkward meow, "Shhh little one... Let's get you settled down and cleaned up, okay?" He glanced at Owlfeather, trying to see if he was doing okay at doing this. His tail gently touched her as he tried to move closer, being cautious.

//is beepaw near the river? I dont want to leave anyone out

Stonegaze purred and followed. He kept his gaze straight but when Fallowcreek had leapt up suddenly, it surprised him. His fur fluffed up and tail struck up straight like a kit, which seemed to happen everytime the tom got slightly shocked. He relaxed when he realised it was just a leaf and when he glanced at the calico, his eyes were full of curiosity. "I used to when I was a kit," He meowed as he padded to stand next to her, "but since I left my mother, i stopped because, well, survival and all that." His eyes glinted with playfulness as he glanced between her and the leaf. "And aren't we Riverclan? We catch fish not birds," he teased before batting the leaf away from his clanmate to entice play.

He crouched down, watchful eyes set on a particular leaf before he sprang up, a little too high. He missed it with a few little flails of his paws before he twisted to make sure he wouldn't fall on his back. He leaped again and this movement just made the leaf flutter away again and, this time, he did fall. Flat on his side, knocking the wind out of him before the leaf came to land on his flank. "Does that count as me catching it?" He huffed before glancing at her. His breath was, honestly, taken away and his face changed into a look of awe as he looked at her pretty pelt glowing in the light like she was of another world.

Rosethorn's ears perked and she quickly trotted to the frantic subordinate, trying to stop a panic. "Shush! Do you want everyone to panic? Irispetal is back, so I'm guessing Drypelt is with him or atleast her apprentice is. You should be in there as well, with that shoulder," the she-cat hissed urgently, ears back. The nicked wound on her ear was crusted with dry blood and it was a slight stinging pain and throbbing when she moved her ears, but she tried to make sure it didnt distract her.

"Now thats something i know I can do," he meowed as he took her paw and got up, following her with slight trot. He watched the way she walked, seeming in her own world. Those were the type of people Stonegaze liked, the ones who felt comfortable in their minds and in silence. When they reached the river, the tom paused as he watched her for a heartbeat, flicking his ear as he thought over something. Here he was, with a very pretty she-cat of his clan, and he never felt happier. She was nice, funny, and made him feel like he belonged in Riverclan. He let out a soft purr before settling down on the rocks while she marked the border. His gaze watched the water, a paw poised, ready to scoop up anything within reach as his tail flicked excitedly and rapidly.

The tom had finally spied a fish beneath the rippling water. As he waited for it to move within reach, he failed to hear Fallowcreek sneaking up behind him and when she leapt on him, he let out a loud surprised meow before he toppled over into the water. He regained to the surface and looked up at her, fur wet and a slight playful scowl on his face. "Youre going to pay for that," he meowed as he looked at her and liftrd his paw and swiping it to splash her, bringing it fast into the water as he stood there, up to his belly fur in the water, a playful glint in his eyes. He let out a loud mrow of laughter, as he did.

Sadly, Stonegaze was very childish and the ripples did distract him. When his paw slipped beneath him, he yelled out, splashing into the water before kicking his legs softly to splash her back. He sat up, laughing as he was completely drenched and the water felt amazing to him. Nice and cool, perfect for relaxing. He then playfully growled and leapt back at her, paws aiming to knock over his clanmate into the water, laughing loudly as water sparkled from his coat and rained down behind him.

He purred, eyes meeting hers as they flickered softly with some emotion before he triumphantly meowed, "King of the River and soon of leaves!" He climbed off her, sitting in the water and looking at the pretty dilute calico as the cool water tugged on his tail and fur. "Sadly, i do believe we may have scared off the fish," He meowed, laughter in his tone as he glanced down at the water surface as if to punctuate how empty the water was now.

He laughed when her fur poofed, but when he got out his did too. "I think we look all right," he meowed as he padded up the shore, turning to look back at her with loud slapping of wet paws on the stoney shore. He then just plopped down into the reeds, looking at her with mischief in his eyes before he meowed, teasing, "We should probably hunt.I don't know about you, but I'm always hungry after i fall in the river." He was, truthfully, happy. Something he knew was true about Riverclan, but he couldn't deny he was starting to form a small crush on Fallowcreek, even if he did believe they barely knew eachother. She just made him feel like a kit and brought out something in him that hunting and patrolling didnt.

The cinnamon she-cat paused, holding her breath for a few heartbeats. She rose to her paws, padding to the clearing where the two cats could see her, favoring her left shoulder. She flexed her claws, ready for a fight if she must, but she raised her chin, trying her hardest to fake confidence as she glowered at the two, her green eyes filled with a wisdom of though she was an old elder, but she was wary from her travels, skin taut to her lean muscles and bones. She obviously could not fend off two cats.

She huffed, rolling her eyes. Typical clan cat names. She internally cringed at the idea of her dear son having one if those names. She flicked her ear and meowed, her accent so thick in her speech but she still pronounced her words well, "Oasis. My name is Oasis. I don't care for your names, I just heard you speaking while I searched for food." Her eyes narrowed at the tom, her neck fur ruffled. She didn't like the fact these two clan-sounding cats were alone, they rarely left in twos back in her old home. "Where's the rest of your patrol? Aren't you part of some weird clan?" She meowed, suspicious. Her claws dug in deeper to the ground. This didnt feel right.
