Day nodded, waving to them as they left. "Alright! Have a good day!"
OOC: Do we have anything else here or should we skip again?
Day nodded, waving to them as they left. "Alright! Have a good day!"
OOC: Do we have anything else here or should we skip again?
OOC: We could have Day ask for someone's help getting her things from home?
Day had her own day off as well, though she was feeling rather anxious. She needed her things if she was going to properly live here for any longer, but she was scared of going alone. She had been debating who to talk to about coming with her, and had narrowed it down to Abby or Sayomi, but seeing as Sayomi wouldn't wake up, she had to muster up the courage to ask Abby. She slowly headed outside to find Abby, approaching her. It was obvious that she was tense. "Um... A-Abigail? Would you happen to be free? I-I need a favor..."
Luminous' eyes widened at this and she was almost offended. "I'm not a first generation tiefling, Shadow, I'm not a direct spawn of hell! And if whoever my ancestor is comes after me for some reason, what am I supposed to do about that? Just not exist? Live life forever in some hole so I don't inadvertently hurt the people that already want people like me dead for no other reason than being born? I didn't ask to be this way!" She whispered, the stress showing. She looked like she could end up crying again. "I didn't ask to be born like this... But because I exist, I have to worry constantly about somebody finding out about me and ending up putting me in some unmarked grave. I just want to play music... I just wanted to be a musician, I didn't want to stay hidden away back home... At least here I can live a bit more like a person..."
Luminous' hand could be just barely seen reaching for Shadow's as well before he pulled away, quickly diverting to hold both her hands to her chest now as she looked him in the eyes, searching them. "... I can't stop you from feeling the way you do about me, I get that... A-All I want from you is peace, and secrecy over my race... If the wrong people find out about me they'll surely have me killed..." Tears started to come to her eyes again as she continued, all the strength she had shown around him since they met gone. She had no one for so long... "I-It's okay... I-If you hate me, and d-don't want to see me again, b-but I just hope that you'll be able to at least let me keep my secret longer... I don't have anything else but my music now, I just want to play... It's the only thing I can do right..." She whispered the last part, her hands lifting to cover her face now as she cried.
Day gave a nervous chuckle at the joke before going serious again. "U-Um, well... I actually need to go back to my father's and get some of my things, but I-I... I'm scared to go alone... You said Elias told you where I got my bruises, right? I-I don't want to go alone and end up getting more, or get trapped there by him again..."
Andrea soon followed, throwing on her own fluffy winter coat and taking a moment to enjoy the warmth of it before bringing her things along as well, her satchel well secured across her chest. "Soralyth, can I ask you something a bit more serious? Some things have started to worry me..." She announced, her cheery behavior seeming to falter somewhat.
Luminous gave a tearful whimper, lowering her hands to look at him to search for any semblance of a lie. Her eyes seemed to always be visibly glowing the same calm yellow of a sun elf, and she gave a nod once she had searched his own eyes, pulling him into a soft hug and pressing her face into his shoulder, wishing her fear would fully subside. "Th-Thank you... I'm s-so sorry that I have to bother you so much, but... I-It's scary on my end, too..."
Luminous slowly let go of him, returning his gaze and giving a nod. "Y-Yes... A-Any day some one could pull back my hood or bump me and feel my horns or my tail... I was so scared when you followed me the day we met, I-I thought you would find out and t-try to kill me or trap me in my own hole... It's terrifying thinking of getting cornered. L-Like those men that harassed me back then, I-I was scared they were going to end up assaulting me and finding out and doing what they wanted, and it makes me feel so horrible... It's like I'm only prolonging an early death..." She muttered, having averted her eyes by now, her tears flowing freely as she explained some of her fears
Luminous shook her head and started wiping at her eyes, trying to stop crying. "N-No, it's not your fault, okay?... You didn't know... I don't care about that now, as long as you keep to your promise... I should probably stop bothering you, you just wanted to go to bed..." She mumbled, hesitating before starting to turn toward the door again.
Luminous only gave a nod before leaving back to her own room they had rented for her.
The next day, Luminous woke up feeling a lot better than the day before, though her fever was still present. Despite that, she still insisted on coming with Shadow and Ariel when they announced they were going to the market, not wanting to be left alone in the tavern. She would rather be by the two she trusted to take care of her than be in the tavern alone with skeevy patrons. They were currently inspecting one of the produce vendors in the market, Luminous staying close, but seeming to take interest in some of the sunflowers one of the vendors had put on display.
"Ah! O-Okay!" She mumbled, surprised by the other's quick action before moving to take the supplies in, setting them on a nearby counter before hesitantly following Abby, not sure what she was going to do to wake Sayomi up. Would he even be that much of a help to them? He seemed to fly off every time they were doing something that didn't seem fun to him, like he did with the garden.

• Stevens drove the actors and film crew through the streets for a short while before ending up at the mall. The director parked (poorly) and got out, the rest of the van pouring out with them. Stevens took in the vibe of the mall and started to make plans, turning to the others and about the tell them how he wanted the shot to go when he picked up on the sound of a guitar. He lifted his sunglasses and looked around before his eyes landed on a nearby street performer. He quickly started to move toward him, waving the crew along to follow him. "Hey, you! Yeah, you, kid! Ya wanna be in a movie!?" Marcus looked to the others and gave a shrug before following along, giving the musician a wave and an apologetic smile. It had to be strange to the other, an old man that looked and smelled like he crawled out of a pile of cigars running up with people holding film equipment following along behind him.

Day watched all of this from the hallway, concern coming to her face as Abby seemed to hint that she was in a similar situation to her. She stayed silent, though, simply waiting for the two, not wanting to make anything get awkward for them. She just needed to go home, get her things, and leave...
Andy hesitated, looking down and not making eye contact with the dragon shifter. "Well... What will happen to you when this is all over? Will you just... Come back here and live alone again?... A-And what if I end up ruling instead of one of my brothers!? I-I don't know if I would be a good queen! I didn't even plan before coming out here to save my people, how could I rule over them!?" she whimpered, her anxieties now out in the open. She didn't want to be alone, and she didn't feel as though she was worthy to rule over her own kingdom.
Conrad hesitated, not sure if Jay meant the group of people he was sent off with, or the people the were traveling to see. Opting to try and avoid the question of what happened to the rest of his party, he started to sign back about where they were headed. Well, when it comes to how far I've been before, I grew up in Pennsylvania and came up here almost immediately afterward. I thought that it was only America being effected, maybe something in the water, but it was the same up here, too. I've been around a lot of Canada by now, but really only the parts closest to the US... Anyway, the group was last at an outdoor center maybe a two or three hour walk from here, with some cinder block buildings. If it wasn't for the greenhouses and the rec center, it would look more like a boot camp...
Conrad paused now, not really having realized just how close they were until he had said it. They really weren't far, were they?... He could feel anxiety starting to crawl into his chest now. What was Isabel going to do to him if she was still there? Surely she would give him quite the beating for failing to do what he was supposed to... And what if they aren't even there anymore? What if they all turned, and he'd be standing among a lake of crazies with familiar faces? He didn't feel all too reassured by the lack of distance now, and his discomfort was starting to show on his face.
Day blushed as she was pulled into the argument, simply giving a nod and complying with Abby. "Uh, y-yeah, sure, I'll help..." She replied, looking up to Sayomi with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry that we had to wake you up... I-I just can't go alone when I go..." She mumbled, not mentioning what she had heard Abby say earlier about the trip.
Day smiled, taking comfort in Sayomis words before going into the passenger seat once they were at the car. She nodded to Abby. "Yeah, I can. Its not too far from the greenery if you want to go that route. It's only a few blocks from there and I can tell you when we get to it."
Day hesitated before she gave a soft nod, looking back to them. "Everything's in my room... I just need to pack my clothes and some other things and carry it down, then we'll be out... My dad's car is here, so... H-He's home... But he should still be sleeping at this rate. We just have to be quiet if we don't want to wake him." She announced, taking in a deep breath before getting out.
Andy's cheeks lit up with a blush and she gave a giggle as Soralyth ruffled her hair. She gave a happy hum, uplifted by the other's answers. "Thank you, Sora... I think I'm raring to go now."
