    Jesus. Overhearing Valaerya's comment, Piedpiper had had to bite back the impulse to react. Looking briefly to Osiris, he glanced back at his niece. "I'm sure that's not true." This was a tricky web he didn't want to get ensnared in. Turning back to the child, the Paladin Commander frowned. "I'm Piedpiper," he introduced himself softly. "We'd all be very happy if you came with us. There's lot of other kids for you to play with."

    Lately it seemed that Valaerya was acting out more and more. She had always been a headstrong girl from the get go, but Piedpiper was worried. He couldn't help but attribute the cause of her behaviour to Irene's absence. She and her sisters didn't have any paternal figures left in their life - just older adoptive siblings and distant uncle and aunts. Maybe it'd have been honourable for him to try to step up to the plate, but something in Piedpiper held him back.


    He didn't like thinking about this. Figuratively shaking the thoughts away, the Paladin Commander followed after Osiris. "I'll join you guys if that's the case," he added.

    "I'll join you guys," Piedpiper strode over to join the small patrol forming around Canoris. He shot the dark wolf a quick, meaningful glance before his pink eyes turned onto the rest of the party. "Hey." The Paladin Commander wasn't usually big on hunting, but he was looking forward to the hunt. Deer was a lot more exciting than rabbit or squirrel.

  • NO MAKE UP | o, joining

    Walking over to join his clanmates, Piedpiper came to stand near Rhaenyra and Osiris, his pink eyes curious as he looked at Seouldynasty. He knew what tigers looked like, but he had never seen an orange one before. Jae-eun had been white. "Hey," the fox offered a polite nod. "I'm Piedpiper. Nice to have you joining us, Seoul." "Seoul" was a lot easier to say than "Seouldynasty", which was three more syllables.

    Following a distance after his niece, Piedpiper joined her and Sundance, his pink eyes immediately trained on the stranger opposite them. "Hey." Dovestorm looked friendly. A possible joiner? She didn't seem to be an ambassador - he couldn't pick up any noticeable clan scent on her. "This is BlizzardClan territory," the fox added helpfully.

    He couldn't help but crack a slight smile, overhearing Dovestorm's answer to Rhaenyra's inquiry. "BlizzardClan's doors are always open to those with honest intentions," the Paladin Commander answered. Be they guests or more permanent residents. "I'm Piedpiper, by the way," the silver canid was nodding softly as he spoke. "You have a name too, I'm guessing." That was his way of asking for her name. After saying the same phrase over and over again, he was trying desperately for a little break from the routine.

    Thank you for entrusting me with the position, I really hope we can all work together to keep the Rift running. I'm going to have a meeting up later tonight and I'll have another thread for us to discuss ideas.

  • CHANGES TO THE RIFT DISCUSSION THREAD

    I wanted to see some return to the Rift's old ranks, with some changes. The territory will remain the same, as the current territory we have right now is the one staff have already marked us for after the site rebuild. The name will also preferably remain the same. But until I get all of the details worked out, I'd love to hear if you guys had any ideas yourself or any suggestions for what you might like to see in the Rift.

    Ake'cheta had stepped down, naming him his successor. Piedpiper had been living in the Rift for a few weeks now, and the jump to leadership was a bit sudden, but he wouldn't complain. He was touched by the former Admiral's trust in him and he was determined to do a good job in his position. "Members of the Rift, gather for an important clan meeting," the silvery canid spoke up, his pink eyes narrowed attentively. "Ake'cheta has resigned from his position and named me his successor. Expect some changes coming to the Rift in the coming days, I want to get things up and running again as quickly and as smoothly as possible. There are no promotions or demotions this week, but I will looking out for high achieving members. I also need volunteers to visit our allies and inform them of the leadership change."

    I made a RIFT TO-DO LIST if you guys wanted to track that.


    I think incorporating more themes of the sea into their culture will be good, like with mythology and practices - not necessarily religion since I don't want to enforce a mandatory clan-wide religion. I don't exactly want to go that way when it comes to the ranks however. Here was what I was thinking in terms of the ranks.


    King/Prince (like a principality)

    Heir (like the old TidalClan)

    Doctor/Physician

    Physician Assistant/Physician Student/Nurse

    Hero


    I haven't thought of any names for any SHPs, or for any other potential HPs so I'd love suggestions for that field.

    "There'll be a next time," Piedpiper smiled briefly at the disheartened kitten. But the Paladin Commander concurred with Canoris' judgement. Even with adult animals, there'd be a risk of getting stomped on. Deers were herbivores, but their hooves represented a very real danger. "Sounds good - no questions," he confirmed with Canoris.

    Piedpiper turned his attention onto June, appreciative of the molly's willingness to help out. "Our current allies are SunClan, HawkClan, the Sanguine Ruins, the Overgrowth, and the Colour Command. Which ones were you planning on visiting?"

    "Sounds good." Piedpiper appreciated that Ryouto was present and chipping in. She was the second highest ranking member in the Rift now that Ake'cheta had stepped down. "This leaves SunClan, the Overgrowth, and the Colour Command." If no one else took those, he would take some himself.
