「 here comes the rain again — falling from the stars 」

Oh woah, there was a person. Flipping over so she was standing straight up onnce more, Petri would fix bright red eyes on the stranger. Lulla offered no recognition so the dog would offer an easy smile, tag swishing behind her. "Hey there, cutie. I'm Petrichor Delacroix. Feel free to call me Petri or whatever floats your boat." She'd give a wink, not really caring if she came off as strange or made the girl uncomfortable. "I'm here to join, I s'pose, if that's alright with you." She hadn't actually realized she'd already crossed into the territory. Petri didn't have an actual sense of smell so she hadn't noticed the scent border. If she had, she probably wouldn't have cared anyway. "Significance of the body? Other than being smoking hot?" She'd laugh, lips pulled up into a smirk. "In all seriousness, though, I don't have a real body. I'm like a poltergeist or something, you know? Does that answer your question?"

Petrichor was wandering around Colour Town, rolling her eyes everytime Lullabysong's intruding voice popped up in the back of her head. "Do you ever shut up?" The dog huffed to herself, tilting her horned head slightly as she floated past a building.

Wait! Go back! Lulla pleaded, causing the ghost to pause, frowning in annoyance, then floating back towards the building.

"Lucinda's public library?" Petri read the name of the structure, face scrunched up in confusion. "Who the hell is Lucinda? And why does she have a library?"

She was the leader awhile ago. I never met her myself. Lulla answered, recalling the name though she had been dead long before Lucinda's reign. Her leaders had been Dovestar and Permafrost. All of them gone now. Greymatter had lead too.. Lullaby still couldn't believe that. Her daughter..

"Can you dial back the mushy crap?" Petri growled, but it was too late. Lulla had retreated into the depths of her mind, lost in herself. Petrichor shrugged, deciding to ignore the emotional soul and instead made her way into the library. Might as well look around, she supposed. Maybe she could spook some reading nerds. Ears flicking, Petrichor glanced around at the many shelves of books, red eyes glittering mischievously. Man, how many of those shelves could she knock over before someone stopped her? That would be fun.

Snorting to herself, she'd flicker out of visibility and float around to an innocent npc who was flipping through a few books. Petri could physically touch things, but she was pretty good at moving small objects with her mind. So that was how the book in the npc's paws went flying halfway across the room. The stranger jumped in surprised, looked around for a reason behind this peculiarity, and finding none, condemned themselves to rushing out of the library with a fearful yelp. Petri phased back into visibility in a bought of laughter, stooping down as she did so to glance at the pile of books dropped on the floor. 'Of Mice and Men' and 'The Odyssey'. "What an absolute nerd." She was still laughing as she mentally lifted The Odyssey to her face. "Damn, this thing is the size of a phone book. Maybe bigger." And that was where she could be found, paging boredly through books she didn't understand and had no interest in understanding.

A voice stirred her thoughts and her laughter was cut short. Someone had seen. Shit. Pausing only slightly to compose her, Petri would tilt her head towards the stranger who had spoken, a cheeky smirk stretched across her maw. They had started to tell her off, but now seemed entranced by something. She figured it was probably the fact that she was a rather demonic looking spirit. Most people were off put by that. But Petrichor was never one to admit she looked strange.

Her smirk turned less cheeky and more suggestive as she eyed the feline. "It isn't polite to stare, love. But I'll make an exception this time, since you don't look half bad yourself." She'd smile and throw in a wink for good measure. She'd let the book fall as she turned to face him fully. "What's someone like you doing in a dump like this?" She'd use the age old line, entirely unaware that he was the librarian.

Oh, boo. She'd upset thm, it seemed. A frown crossing her dark features, the spirit would sigh dramatically. "Delicate property, huh? Well, if it means so much to you, darling.." A smile would turn up the corners of her mouth as she lifted the remaining books from the floor and tucked them neatly into place on the shelf. "Better?" She'd ask, smirking once again. Her tall ears would twitch in slight surprise when he mentioned being the librarian. "You actually live here?" Crap, she needed to start figuring out people's backstory before making crude comments about places that might end up being their home. Yeah, she probably wasn't going to do that. But for now at least she'd try to tone it down on the attitude. "Ah, but what about the advances of someone who is very apologetic and didn't realize how much.. these pieces of paper meant to you." Oh, she'd tried. It hadn't gone well, but she was never real good at being sorry. "I came here out of curiosity, really. Just wanted to know what all was inside my local public library. Apparently, the answer is books." She'd give a short laugh, evidently unconcerned about laughing at her own joke. "But seriously, what's the big deal about them?" She was referring to the books, of course. Petri didn't actually know how to read, so she'd never understood all the fuss made about books.

/ oof sorry this is so late!

"Hey there, handsome." Petrichor was not particularly shy, and that would be made evident in almost all encounters with her. She had only joined recently, and so had no knowledge of any labels or preconceived notions about this particular person. She really didn't know much of anything about anyone here, except that short, angry guy who lived in the library. Honestly, if anyone had bothered to tell her not to approach this guy or something like that, she would've ignored them anyway. Because he was gorgeous. She thought pretty much everyone was, but that wasn't important. The ghost would float a bit closer, then flop down onto her side, though she was still floating a few inches off the ground. With a wink of her glittering red eyes, Petri would decide to stop staring and introduce herself. "Name's Petrichor. Call me Petri if you'd like, I'm not picky. I like your horns." The spirit would smirk, having a similar pair of sheep horns atop her own head, wrapping almost protectively around her tall ears.

Ah man she was kinda late but like this territory was massive and she had a hard time retaining boring stuff like where the main gathering area was. Oh well, she was here now and that was good enough for her. Red eyes glancing around, Petri would choose not to say anything for once, though she did catch her name among the rest of the random words she wasn't really paying attention to. She probably ought to listen, considering this was her new home and all that. But it was all just so.. sophisticated. Civilized. She'd never been one to care about politics and the like.

Her smile would grow, pleased that he wasn't someone who was easily put off by her way of greeting people. A way that was usually more comfortable than someone should be with strangers - which often ended in making the strangers uncomfortable. Not that Petri really cared if they felt awkward. She was too far off in her own world. Regardless, he seemed pleasant enough. "I'm flattered." She'd laugh a bit, head listing to one side. "Does Mister 'Dark, brooding, attractive type' have a name?" She'd ask, eyes glittering mischievously.

She wondered what about this place would compel a child to want to live here. Her dark head tilted at the thought, trying to imagine the feline as a young child. She supposed maybe this place had its charm. And at the very least, it was a home. Something she couldn't remember ever having. Not to say she never did, but she hadn't since she'd died and that was as far back as her memories went. Of course, Lullabysong had lived here in Colouredclan with her family, but it had changed so much since then it wasn't like home even for her.

She didn't envy them, though. A sense of home was nice, sure, but she had seen the world. She hadn't ever needed to settle down because there was so much more to see. Her tail would wag slowly, red eyes glinting as they agreed she was acting much more acceptable now. "You're quite welcome, love." A toothy smile would be offered as they spoke of books, comparing them to traveling. She'd frown slightly, not buying it. She had traveled the world and was pretty convinced that that in itself was the best way to explore and discover new things. "You should get out more, then." Her tone was light and teasing, she wasn't trying to insult him. But she was thinking about their words. Maybe she should give this reading thing a chance..? They seemed completely set on how great it was. "But, just in case there's some truth to your statement.. why don't you tell me about.. the uh.. best books?" She wasn't sure if she really cared all that much. Maybe she was a bit interested, but mostly she was bored and wanted an excuse to keep flirting with them.

Petri wasn't really sure what all was involved in 'meetings' but she had floated over nonetheless, ruby eyes glittering as she hovered nearby, smirking. It appeared she was the second one here. Her sheep horned head turned slowly, searching casually for others arriving. Maybe Beau would come.

"Oh please, you look far too young to talk like that." She'd wink again, wondering if she was overdoing it a bit. She had a habit of coming on too strong, though it didn't usually bother her. It wasn't like she really needed them to like her. Except, she kind of wanted them to like her. Dark ears flickering, the girl would simply watch as they tossed a few books down, the corners of her lips pulled up in a smile. She looked over the books blankly, unsure if she really wanted to admit that she couldn't read. She didn't want to sound stupid.. not when they were so smart. She reached out and lightly touched the cover of Needful Things, deciding she liked the picture on the front, since that was all she had to go off of. Ruby orbs glanced back up at the brown feline. "What's this one about?"

"Pretty much everything, beautiful." Petri would wink as she floated over, lying out her ass about knowing anything about fighting. She didn't fight often, considering she was a spirit and couldn't touch anything, meaning not much was a threat to her and she wasn't a threat to much. Not to mention she never felt particularly inclined to fight for anyone else either, so she just simply didn't. Of course, she could if she needed to, but that was only if she was pissed off enough that her demonic form took over. At that point, she wasn't in control enough to worry about fighting skills. However, this cheetah girl was cute so Petrichor would hang around for a bit to watch.

ooh she could be one he captures to experiment on later if you'd like??

she's typically in a spirit form so he could use some sort of silver weapon and capture her

she'll get really mad and end up taking on her physical form which is just a giant hell hound/creature/thing which could intrigue him even more

depending on how dark you want des to be, maybe he tries to better understand the concept of her immortality by trying to kill/harm her in different ways?

i'm down for mostly whatever tho
