Tansy shook herself off with a stretch, slinking out of her twolegplace to the fragrant herb garden outside. The brisk air stung her eyes as she rubbed against the soft prickles of a tangy smelling bush. With a practiced leap, Tansy leapt to the top of her twolegplace's fence, settling down on the white cold wood. What could she do today? It was too cold to be out for long, even her whiskers felt frozen!

"There's definitely one on on the back of my neck." Cragfur grumbled, narrowing their eyes at the apprentice with a playful grumble, "You better keep a steady paw on that moss, I want to be able smell for the rest of the day!" They bared their neck to Redpaw, fluffing up their fur to help with the process as much as a grumpy elder could.

For the plot during the travel to the Star Stump, I was thinking of having some foxes nesting near it. And Hawkheart manages to gain his nine lives before losing his first one from the battle? I wanna bounce that off u guys tho!

And then later on we can have some sweet prophecies and all that jazz, but I'd have to know what/who would be down for that

Tansy perked up at the newcomers, back starting to raise before a loud flop from the fence next door. Narrowing her eyes, she settled back down, ears flicking in amusement at the larger cat. "...Hello." She tried, responding back to the two cats forest side, "You two friends of uh..." Tansy nodded toward the larger kittypet.

"I think I can enjoy the view from my own fence can't I?" Tansy bit back at Jupiter, with a huff and a curl of her lip. She softened up a bit as the molly spoke up, sinking her claws into the damp wood of the picket fence. She glanced at the fallen cat, she could just go back inside to her warm nest. Ignore these three and probably be better off for it. But, curiosity killed the cat. "Name's Tansy." It slipped out of the small tabby gruffly.

Cragfur shivered at the feel of the soaked moss on their neck, claws sinking into the sandy ground uncomfortably. There was a slight pinch, before the tick fell away and they sighed at the dissipating itch. "Well done," they purred, "See if Mistyriver's got a few bugs of her own will you? I'm sure that mentor of yours will have something for you to do afterwards." Cragfur dipped their head to Redpaw, slinking over to the pile to grab a mouse.

    MILKPAW —

Milkpaw twitched awake with a yawn, blinking lazily around the apprentice's den. She stretched tiredly catching sight of Smudgedpaw twitching in their nest. 'They do say the early bird gets the worm', the pale apprentice shifted into a crouch batting at Smudgedpaw's ears. "Better wake up before your brother demolishes the fresh-kill pile!" They shot Pipetpaw a playful glance, ears flicking.

    OTTERSPECK —

Otterspeck sat outside his den grumpily chewing down on a few poppy seeds. The aching joints in his paws had kept him up all through the night, and as much as he hated using his own supply, the pain was getting extremely annoying. Stocking forward, he glared down into the reflection of the pond calmly settled in front of his den. The night had been thankfully quiet, something he was eternally grateful for, especially with the kits in the nursery.

    HAWKHEART

With a nod toward the small group around him, Hawkheart wrinkled his nose before setting off out the entrance of the Hollow. It'd be nice to be out of the camp for a bit! He'd only left here and there on patrols, and even those had been bitterly short. The fluffy tom lifted his head to the air scenting the air outside the Hollow, and shivered at the cold air on his nose. His paws felt filled with new energy as he turned toward the north of the valley, digging his claws in and out of the ground with suppressed excitement.

The Star Stump was a full day of travel away, safely stowed away in a mossy cave within the northern pass of the valley. He hummed, glancing around the pine trees and undergrowth softly covered in frost as he set off in its direction.
