The Ethiopian wolf bounded over, not fully comprehending the fox, but still wanting participate. If everyone else was doing something, naturally, she wanted to do it as well! "Hey! Hey! Hey!" The pup began to screech, hopping up in down in front of Frostbite. "What does momma want? What does everyone want? I want the same thing!" She inquired, voice holding more of a whine than any real demand.

After seeing a few other Rifters walk into the lighthouse, the overly-curious pup couldn't help but follow them. An empty bottle was placed in the center of the floor, the Rifters surrounding said object. "Ooooh! Is this a game? Can I play? Can I play? Or is this something to eat? Can I eat it? Is it yummy?" Sunwatcher began to interrogate no one in particular, tail wagging wildly. In the world of the three month old, everything was either meant to be played with or to be eaten. The line was black and white, with no room for whatever else the world had to give her.
-
The pup, being the adventurous little spirit that she was, suddenly popped into view of the Rifters and the stranger. Frankly, she wasn't even sure where she had popped out from, but perhaps she had accidentally fallen asleep on the beach. She found comfort and security in digging small, shallow holes to sleep in, so she supposed that's what had happened. She didn't even bother to look back to see if she had fallen asleep in one of her shallow pits, racing over to the stranger. "Boo! Did I scare you? I bet I did! Admit it!" Sunwatcher squealed before bursting into a series of giggles. Only now did she bother to shake the sand off her pelt, the grains flying everywhere in her vicinity. "Wait... Who are you? Have we met? I'm Sunwatcher! I like bugs and sand," She introduced herself, practically forgetting that he was a stranger.
-
Sunwatcher was first to dash up to Greymatters, tail wagging at an almost unearthly pace. "Hey there! I'm Sunwatcher. I like the name Greymatters. Greeeeeeyyyyy. Maaatteeerrrrs. Does that mean grey is a color that matters? Or is your name really grey and you're saying that it matters? Actually, I don't like the name Greymatters. It hurts my brain to think about! But I like you. You seem nice!" She began to yap incessantly, as was her normal behavior. The pup began to sniff the dragon-cat's body up and down, thoroughly confused by their specimen. "What are you? I'm a wolf, I think. You look like my mom sort of. But you also look like some sort of scary lizard!" The Ethiopian wolf barked, head cocked to the side in confusion.
-
Sunwatcher was awakened from her nap in a shallow dip on the beach, the sound of a stranger reaching her ears. It probably wasn't healthy to be so friendly or so easy-going, but she loved strangers! All strangers were just friends waiting to be made, whether they liked it or not. It was her goal in life to make everyone a friend, even if she had to kill them with kindness. A little sinister, sure, but time would tell if her thoughts actually manifested into actions in real life. "Helllooooo!" The pup greeted the stranger, trotting over with a smile. "I'm Sunwatcher. Who are you? You look like me. Just not the same color. Are you my dad? I never had a dad. Well, it's nice to meet you dad! I love you so so much already! We should eat ice cream and take naps together now. Or whatever a dad does with their daughter normally!" She woofed, attempting to give the android wolf a gigantic hug.
-
The Ethiopian wolf scurried over, having heard the call of Quasar. She settled down next to Lanza and Frightfur, tail still wagging violently despite her sitting on it. "Quasar! That's unique. What does it mean? Or is it just a bunch of letters? Actually, I think my name is just a bunch of letters. I think. Maybe? I would have to ask my mommy. My name is Sunwatcher. You should try to figure out the meaning of my name! Or if it's just a bunch of letters. And help me figure out what letters are," She woofed in an up-beat tone. "Wait, what's a snowball? And why are they fighting? And what's the veil? Is it like a water vole or something? I like water voles. They're yummy, but I like bugs better. Actually, only some bugs. Ladybugs are cute and don't deserve to be eaten," Sunwatcher began to question and ramble.
-
Between her short-term memory and the myraid of "friends" she had, it was hard to remember people sometimes. The pup galloped over, a wide grin plastered upon her features. She hadn't heard anything the stranger had said, thank goodness for the sake of her innocent ears, but did catch the end of Frightfur's words. "Ooh! Ooh! I'm Sunchaser. Don't you like the name Frighty? Well, it's actually Frightfur, but that doesn't matter. Frighty sounds a lot better and a lot less frightening. Get it? Get it?" She yapped, abruptly pausing to laugh wildly at her own joke. She thought she was hilarious, and she would be more than happy to keep thinking that. "What's your name? Do you have a cool name? Or a pretty name? Cute? Scary? Boring? Confusing? I've been meeting a lot of new people lately. They have a bunch of different names, even some I can't pronounce! I think it's silly we all have such different names. But I guess that's the point of having names?" Sunwatcher jabbered, not really expecting an answer from the stranger. She understood she could be overwhelming to some people, considering the amount of energy in her tiny little body. It didn't mean they could ignore her, though, and she would be quite furious if they did.
-
Oh, she hadn't meant to scare off a stranger with her two favorite things! "No, no! This is the perfect place! No place is better than The Rift! There are things other than bugs and sand, like food. Water voles are my favorite. Ladybugs, too, but I don't eat ladybugs. Ladybugs are far too cute to eat, right? Ooh, we also have water! Lots of water! And a lighthouse, but it isn't as interesting as our territory," Sunwatcher proceeded to yap and yap about nonsense. "What was your name again? I like to call people by names. Or I could call you a wolf! But I'm a wolf too, and lot's of other Rifters are wolves. It would get pretty confusing, and I don't like confusing. That's why we have names, so people don't get headaches!" The pup questioned. "Hold up. Didn't I ask your name before? Why are you avoiding the question? Are you trying to be mysterious? Or do you not want to be friends with me?" She woofed, light brown eyes narrowing. Her happy expression quickly grew dark, unnatural on the features of a young child.
-
"Cute? I wouldn't call the name Greymatters cute. It sounds dull and boring. Maybe even a bit scary and mysterious! Pumpkinpie or Teddybear would be a cute name, not Greymatters. Your mommy has an odd taste of names!" She replied, a frown breaking her excited expression. The name Greymatters wasn't cute, which mean his mommy had probably been confused, which was probably why the name Greymatters was confusing. Ironically, the confusion of names all made sense to her within her strange little mind. "Beautiful? Are you in looooooove? Do you have a crush on her? Are you gonna kiss her all weird and gross like my mommy does?" Sunwatcher began to interrogate the bodyguard, a sly smirk replacing her frown. "You didn't answer my question, either! Why do your paws look like miniature scary lizards?" She added in, after momentarily forgetting she had asked about his appearance.
-
"I will hug my dad if I want to," She retorted, tone far too bitter and dark for that of the usually upbeat pup. It was stated matter-of-factly, not in the usual whine she used to protest something she cared about. Sunwatcher casted a glare towards Frightfur, eyes flickering blood red for a split second before returning to their normal brown hue. Perhaps there was a more sinister undertone to the reason why she was named Sunwatcher, best unknown to herself and other Rifters. "It's good to meet you too, daddy!" The pup exclaimed, voice back to being high-pitched and happy. She would then remain in the awkward one-sided hug with Technopunk, thinking she had to make up for all the months of hugs they had missed.
-
To watch the sun? Why in the world would she ever want to watch the sun? Wouldn't it get boring, watching the sun slowly float across the sky, only to be replaced by the moon? A frown threatened her lips, eyebrows furrowing, not pleased by Quasar's response to her endless questions. "You have time to stay. We have food and water, a place to rest. Plenty of time to answer my questions. Someone else can give cakes and invites," She stated, a growl clear in her voice. It was unusual for the pup to have such a forbidding tone, whereas she would've normally whined and complained, yet eventually fallen asleep in the midst of her protests. "What's astronomical? What's a galaxy and a black hole and a high luminosity? Also, what are you? You have a lot of tails. Are those wings? Was your mom a bird or something?" Sunwatcher began to pile more questions onto the jagsune.
-
Sunwatcher's weekly task had been to teach Rifters something, so that was what she planned on doing. "Everyone, come here! I have a lesson! Super fun! I'll teach you how to not look at the sun! How to not burn your eyes! And how not to go blind! And other things that happen when you don't look at the sun!" The pup howled, enthusiastic as always. Quasar, the amabassador from the Veil, had said that her name meant she looked at the sun a lot. Naturally, she had to prove him wrong, and teach everyone not to stare at the sun. He said it could burn her eyes out and melt them and something, meaning that it was an important lesson to be taught.
-
Sunwatcher barged into the middle of the try-outs, a large grin upon her muzzle. She plopped down next to Frightfur, a friendly and familiar face, although Frighty had told her to not hug Techo. She hadn't liked that, but by now, she was totally over it! "What's a doctor? What's a poppy? Ooooooh, I have tons of knowledge! I know that I like sand and bugs but Galizer doesn't like them. Um, Frightfur likes to be called Frighty! Archi is my mommy! And, um, Technopunk is my daddy," She yapped, tail wagging with excitement. She hoped that she got all those facts right, but she was pretty sure they were correct. Then again, she hadn't confirmed that Technopunk was her daddy yet by talking to mommy. In fact, she would also have to ask how pups like her were made, speaking of mommies and daddies.

Her jaw dropped open, absolutely flabbergasted by what Greymatters was telling her. She had already forgotten about Greymatters loving Amina, captivated by what he had described his appearance to be. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! That's so much! What's a dragon claw? I know what a claw is, I have them, everyone has them. Well, most everyone. But what's a dragon? And what's a Dragon God? And what does that make a God? And what does manifest mean? And hence? Hence sort of sounds like fence. I know what a fence is, but it sort of changes appearance depending on the fence," Sunwatcher began to bombard the dragon-cat hybrid with new questions. She could probably ask questions endlessly if certain people didn't stop her from doing so.

Amina had every right to be concerned about the child, or at least her mental health, that is. "Of course I did!" She answered the fox in the most offended tone she could possibly muster. He hadn't answered her question directly, but he had said it was nice to meet her, so that must've counted. Right? Technopunk would be her daddy, whether or not anyone else thought he was her daddy. "Why? Are you doubting that Technopunk is my daddy? Well, he is my daddy! Don't you see the crazy, insane, unbelievable similarity between us?" The Ethiopian wolf challenged her question, striking a dramatic pose by Technopunk. There was no resemblance in all reality, aside from the wolf structure that they shared.

Sunwatcher tumbled over to the scene of the possible newcomer, seating herself by her mommy. "Who are you? I'm Sunwatcher. Bugs and sand are my two favorite things! You look odd. You look like mommy, but you also look like Greymatter with his dragon claw thingy. But you also have wings like a bird? And are those horns? Like a deer or something? Also, why do you only have one eye? Isn't it hard to see with one eye, like what happens when you stare at the sun too long? Blind I think it was? Yeah! Do you have a blind?" She chose to interrogate the stranger, as she always did. The Ethiopian wolf knew her mommy didn't like her talking to strangers, or asking them things, but mommy was talking to them. If mommy was talking to a stranger, she could talk to the stranger as well. Besides, she couldn't resist talking to strangers, since she was still a curious, energetic, little pup.
