She only smiled weakly when he thanked her. She wasn’t sure why she had done it, either. It was unlike herself- but she put it down simply to the fact that she felt the need to wipe the grime from him. Habit maybe… Laura gave her head a small, slow shake however to clear her thoughts, and looked back at the man, watching as he frowned and told her she didn’t have to be secretive. She looked skeptical, but slowly breathed out.

“Please, just call me Laura, Mister Cooper. Miss Bloom is too… formal.” She said awkwardly, but began walking past him to gather up things to clean up the factory. All she really had to do was sweep a little, the other girls would mop. “I’ll say honestly that I don’t like my job here, then. Your father is rather ruthless, and treats me and the other women like we’re lesser simply because we are ladies,” she muttered. She was staying quiet for a good reason, “and the men that work here like to pick on us, they’re vulgar and inappropriate.. like bloody children.” She didn’t seem impressed, but she’d never had a good view on men. Not because she believed they were treated unfairly and she felt she had to fight it, simply just because of the way she had been treated by men. She only wished she could find at least one mature man- it was the reason she still wasn’t married… even at this age.

Korrie wasn't anyone special- no, but he had an eye for those that were. At least, those who he thought were. And her? Well, she had caught his attention. Moreso by the way she stared off as if her eyes could capture the stars of distant planets, and then he noticed her dog. He didn't feel pity- or remorse. Things happened... and he didn't know if she'd been born without eyesight, or if something had happened. Instead, his might thought simply if it was worse to have it, and lose it.

His approach was careful as he came over to her, watching the dog for any signs of aggression even if he doubted there would be- most of the dogs were very well trained. His eyes traveled from the dog, to her, and in an attempt not to scare her, he made his footsteps a bit more audible.
"Uh... hey," he coughed to clear his throat, "My name is uh... Korrie, Korrie Reed. I was wondering if I could take a picture of you?" Admittedly, he had already snapped a little, but if she said no- he would of course trash all of them... even if that was against his better judgement. He just noticed something about her even- even without knowing she was blind. She wasn't like everyone else.

I'm still looking for a picture, my apologies :'>

    EDIT;;

Korrie suppressed a gentle laugh, amused by her sweet confusion, but also saddened by it. Giving his cranium a gentle shake, he refocused and carefully settled down across from her, hoping that would be alright. When she asked why however, the male paused. He had his camera hanging around his neck, and he breathed in slowly to gather the response.

"Why? Well... why does someone breathe? Why does someone laugh? Or cry? I suppose because it feels right." It was a cheesy reply, he couldn't deny that, but he smiled, "so I guess it's because taking a picture of you feels right. And, because the way you stare outwards, capturing everything but nothing.. it's beautiful," he breathed out in an exaggerated fashion- like he was awestruck by her fixated eyes. Which he truly was... not that he was trying to flirt, he just enjoyed being honest when he was allowed it.

"Hm? No. Just pretend I'm not here." He replied, watching her gently. He understood it was probably an odd request- especially from some stranger... But he wasn't out to do anything weird to her, or to hurt her. He simply just admired her in a photogenic sense. A.. spiritual sense, not that it made any sense. Soon after he said that however, there were gentle clicks of the shutter of the camera as he took a few- just of her expressions, the way she slowly blinked... and the way her eyes seemed to move, even if just barely. He took a lot- but he knew only a few would be kept. "Thank you- what's your name... by the way?" He asked her curiously.

“Yes,” he replied, though he then hesitated. He likely seemed far too eager to reply to that question, but he couldn’t deny that he did take pictures of strangers- a lot. There was a beauty to their unfamiliarity that drew him to want to take pictures of them. He couldn’t say it was a want, however, as much of a need.

“Is that so wrong?” He questioned curiously. He guessed she had every right to judge... but he did have to wonder if she herself felt judged- by him or others.

Korrie seemed to give some sort of quiet chortle, his teeth showing in the smile he gave, and although he was aware she couldn’t see it, he was sure she could hear it.. maybe even feel it. He liked her response, if that wasn’t clear enough.

“Hmm… to me you are. And now to my camera you are as well. You’ll always be a part of my frozen memories,” he chuckled with a small shake of his head but then gently coughed. “Anyways… I guess I’d better leave you alone now, huh?” Yet, he couldn’t deny as he slowly stood up that he hoped she would ask him to stay- and if not that… that she would return to the café again. He wished to see more of her.

    Apologies, I had work

“Wouldn’t that be something? A change.” She joked half heartedly. Yet, Laura still seemed skeptical… not that one could blame her, this was new for her as well- being able to speak her mind. She fell silent, however, as she walked. Eyes showing her confusion but mild interest.

“Charlie hm…” she allowed the train of thought to go silent, her plodding steps quite audible as the rest of the factory began its shut down for the evening. Still, she would remain here for hours longer… cleaning. Simply because she was a woman.

She momentarily set her jaw, before looking at the young man. Smiling weakly as she watched him before she sighed. “How long do you plan to ask me questions, hm? There are many other women and few male workers here still,” She said this teasingly- clearly trying to get a rise out of him. Why so keen on speaking to me, hm? he even traced in her thoughts, her curiousity beaming.

An almost sly smile crept across Laura's face, especially upon seeing her fluster the man, and she smiled, laughing with few regrets that she had made him tumble across his own words. Perhaps she wouldn't mind having him around. He definitely made things more interesting... Yet, she knew she couldn't get side-tracked, even if her mind couldn't ignore that he was a man, just as much as she was sure his could not do the same that she was in fact a woman. Not to mention he was soon to be her boss... Anyways, she refocused on him as he continued to speak, his voice drawing her out of her own thoughts.
"Growing sick of your company? I don't believe so. Quite the opposite, actually." She smiled before giving her head a small shake again, "I mean, you're just a charmer, and so handsome." She was obviously joking- even if there was a hint of truth behind it. She seemed quite surprised, however, when he offered to walk her home later, curiousity evident in her intense greenery.

"Walk me home, hm? Perhaps..." she laughed softly, "I wouldn't mind the company."
