ears strained forward and eyes wide, the little griffon cub looked quite the sight as he made his slow and terribly cautious way into the grand city. everything demanded attention, but most of all, he had to keep in mind that the fellows who lived in the city may not take kindly to random strangers showing up within it. hence, it took all his willpower to finally peep up with a, "hi! i'm tito and i wanted to join you guys, if that's okay."

"oh, hey there!", chirped he as the lanky woman approached him. wow, did her eyes gleam! they were almost like a pair of rubies. for the shortest while, tito kept up a fixed stare at the unique things before pulling his gaze back as he recognized words tumbling from her mouth "that's because i'm a different person- to you, at least." the radiant little grin he tossed her soon vanished at what else she had said. "uh...i thought i was in sunclan...am i not?"

tito remained quite lucky in that regard. as small and sensitive as he was, he had escaped bad treatment when it came to meeting others. all encounters beforehand had been more than pleasant and it was due to those nice, agreeable cases that he had felt he was finally fit for a clan. his sole fault was that whereas he could handle the social side to a group, he was not yet sure he was capable of grasping the political parts. in other words: he had no idea how to fight.

"you do? well, thank you! what's your name? i'm sure it's waaay cuter than mine." being observant to the unavoidable gesture that the caracal had made, tito found his own wing itching to be readjusted. his wide gaze trailed to his dragged limb and he appeared to do his best job at resting it atop his back. "my poor wing got all messed up, but don't worry about me! it'll heal 'cause it just has to."

the little thing couldn't help but keep any thoughts to himself as the giant canine of sorts trod over and began cursing. he'd never been one for nasty phrases and when he'd heard them anywhere else, by instinct, he would have wandered off out of fear that curses would turn to blows. they simply sounded bad to him; nearly haunted him if he let them get to him. it perhaps had to do with his general sensitivity. he'd always been wary of the slightest factors since it would bug him if he did not give them considerable concern. so went his weird brain, he supposed.

when it came time for the man to address him, tito let his ears pop back forward and gave them a tiny twitch prior to responding. "thanks, mister. you guard the sun? hmm, okay. i can understand that. i'm sure the sun's a very popular person and he probably has crowds wherever he goes!" whether or not that was meant as a joke was entirely up to intrepretation. it would make a lot of sense if it weren't for he was a kid and one knew how they could get. "i'll letcha' know, ward baskerville." he nodded his head along as he said this.

more cusses, oh brother. he felt he would have to grow accustomed to those if he was going to be living in such a big place. big places usually meant a variety of moods and where there was a variety of moods, there were sure to be a few angry people mixed in. "she sort of has a point. i knew a kid once who said his dad was a famous pirate, but really, he wasn't. people are...de-de....deeeee...deceptions?" he'd meant deceptors, of course.

"aww, yours isn't cute! yours's cool, aurum! tch, no fair." the fake pout quickly warped into a laughing smile as the griffon cub gave his good wing the gentlest of flaps. if one paid careful attention, they'd see that it was as if the second one wasn't there to begin with according to what little regard tito treated it to. that should be in the little guy's best interest. "thanks! i hope this never happens to you. people deserve to use what they're given. they should enjoy it while it's still there or else they'll miss it one day and not have any nice memories attached to it."

faint as the wind's whisper carried the small catsune's voice across the assembly of bursting characters. lucky for her, tito had ears tuned for gentle shudders of voices. his beaked face soon came to face her and he raised the faithful appendage at his back in contemplation. what animal was he. he'd been told he was a mix of things good and bad. eagle and lion; two very different creatures. whereas lions had their pride and an image that struck fear into the faint of heart, eagles could offer a message of triumph and be deemed selfless in that respect. "a mix-matched one, i guess." hence rose his uncertain voice.

the term attached to his kind emerged from another little beast whose visage called for a vague familiarity found when he would shift his non-exclusive gaze to the quiet inquirer. this other one had a beauty to him as well, but tito would be fibbing if he did not admit there may be more lying behind the pretty eyes. he gave the griffon the impression that he was very sure of himself, perhaps not in an overbearing light, more in one that signified that he knew he was something rather than being apart of something. an individuality? that may be the trait he was looking for. either way, tito had yet to speak for himself. "i come from far away from here. i don't know what it was called...it had mountains and soft, cozy snow. and i'm sorry to say, i don't remember there being any king arthurs around."

the town of litore. little tito had walked through the colorfully bright beach town a time or two. this was prior to his pledge of allegiance to the warfare guild, so it was undeniably safe to assume that he had the bare minimal amount of knowledge about where everything was and what led to what. the single reason why he had been on the silky sands was because he had been wandering for five minutes and had made up in his mind that the shore would guide him towards actual signs of civilization. it appeared as lady fate had it, he had, but not in the form he expected.

there stood that pretty-eyed boy, the cursing lady, and a stranger whom - as he drew nearer - he realized had to be the parent of the pretty-eyed boy. what had been spoken about certainly captured the griffon's immense interest which caused him to feel it within himself to pry. "stranger, why does lactic acid build up? will it hurt us eventually or does it just got a misleading name?"

the concept of time had always been terribly troubling to poor tito. he always found himself becoming a little sad at how quickly it passed and how irresistibly fun times could turn to thin memories lying past the vast, swaying, golden fields of current times. he'd often wondered why time couldn't take a break and simply let cherished moments go on for as long as they needed to. it truly was miserable how time had to eternally move on in the big circle it had paced out, but, so be it. everyone had his or her own job to do on earth and thus time could not be exempt from that condition.

"your wings are so cool! can you see the sun through them?" chirped the unknowingly intrusive creature as he wandered nearer to the duo and cocked his fluffy head at the stretched membranes.
