❀✿❋-- Ech0 oml I'd love that! Meg is totally the type to think she's helping someone by psychoanalyzing them when she's really just being annoying lmao

✿❀Beatrice Aspen❀✿ Bea smiled, glad Ally was at least talking. She wouldn't have blamed the girl for fighting her off and running towards the front door in a panic; it was probably what she would've done, if Bea was in the same situation. But it looked like Ally had listened to her and wasn't scared for her life, at least not right now. Still, she could tell the girl wasn't in great shape by her shaking. Bea had experienced hangovers before, but she'd never had them along with date rape drugs, and had always been expecting them when they happened. She doubted she could fathom what Ally was feeling right now.
She stepped back with a grin. "Oh, you don't need to worry about that. It's a hobby of mine to butt in on other people's business and act like some knight in shining armor. You were bound to be on the other end of it eventually." She stepped away towards the kitchen and got a plate with a stack of pancakes and a bottle of painkillers. She grabbed the girl some water, too, and carried it back towards the dining room table. She pulled up the comfiest chair she could find for Ally and set a trash can next to the table, in case she really was going to vomit.
"Eat if you can, and try to drink some water, maybe down a couple of those pills. The bathroom is down the hall if you need it." She sat down across from her with her own plate. "You can leave whenever, but I figure its a long walk to your house, and I doubt you can take a car ride right now. You're welcome to hang around until you feel a little better." Or until dad wakes up, she thought, but she could deal with that later.

✿❀Margaret Hein❀✿ Margaret never got to sleep the night before, regardless of how long she lay half-drunk in her bed and listened to the party out in the hall. The girl ended up holed in her room all night trying and absolutely failing to finish her homework and read through the DSM-5. She couldn't get through the night without half a pack of cigarettes. Racing thoughts made her reach for her lighter every time she tried to stop herself. It was morning before the girl began to feel a bit tired--but then, she thought, that was what coffee was for.
Meg snuffed out her cigarette and stumbled out of her room and down the stairs. A night of nothing but alcohol and smoke left a hole in her stomach; Meg grabbed as many of the pancakes as she could in good conscience, along with the biggest cup in the cupboard filled to the brim with coffee. With plate and cup in hand the girl gathered round the others, and was quickly caught up on Fallon's story.
The girl frowned and furrowed her brow. A night of reading through diagnostics had filled her head to the brim with buzzwords and perscriptions. She looked over Fallon and picked apart her story in her mind, symptoms jumping out at her. "Fallon," she said tentatively after a few bites, "Have you been really stressed out lately? College can be too much for anyone, and sometimes when people are overwhelmed... Well, hallucinations can happen to anyone, and they can feel really real."

For as long as humans have existed, there've been Seers around to tell us our fate: to tell us who our soulmate is, the one who we're destined to spend our entire lives with. At the magical age of 18, kids across America find their local Seer and learn who it is that they're fated to be with. These kids are immediately moved in with their soulmate and expected to learn about each other, grow together, and eventually tie the knot.
Muse A and Muse B are girls who graduated from the same highschool with birthdays on the same day, and they've hated each other's guts since elementary school. Nobody knows why, really, just that the two can't stand each other. So when, on their 18th birthday, the two find that they're each others soulmates, things aren't the fairy tale ending that the two always thought they'd get.
This is going to be interesting.

✿❀Kiara "KiKi" Akihiro❀✿ 18//Female//Lesbian
Kiara is a confident trendsetter used to easily wrapping people around her finger. She's very outgoing and always looking for fun, though she has a tendency to be a diva and occasionally a complete bitch. She spends her time partying and shopping, and frequently turns to these and other vices in order to avoid problems in her life. The girl is an artist to her core and is often found doodling on whatever available surface there is. Despite her dayjob as a waitress, KiKi wants nothing more than to make it in the art world. She has an online store for her works and is saving up for art school.

❀✿❋-- Oml I love her! Here's a first post~

✿❀Kiara Akihiro❀✿ Kiara had been waiting for this day for years. She heard fairy tales about it, watched Disney movies and sitcoms based around it, saw documentaries about how it went down. She had watched all of her friends with summer and autumn and winter birthdays celebrate it and run off to their happily ever afters; The day they found their soulmate.
Kiara had been anxiously awaiting this day for years, and finally it was here. She had walked into the Seer's office, sat across from her, listen to the woman hum and sing and seek out the red string of fate that tied her to the soulmate she was so excited to meet, closed her eyes and smiled as the seer said that name--
"Delilah Tuan."
Kiara gulped, eyes jumping open. "That has to be a mistake," she started, but the seer had already stood up and turned around. "In this business," she said, "We don't make mistakes. Now, head out to the lobby. Your soulmate will be there and you two can pick an apartment."
Kiki, head spinning, rose from her seat and stepped out the door. Of all the people in the world, her soulmate had to be her worst enemy, a girl she absolutely couldn't stand. Kiki wanted to scream and cry, but instead she just went numb as she stepped out to the lobby and watched the nightmare continue.
-

✿❀Kiara Akihiro❀✿ Kiki's head was spinning as Delilah approached her. A part of her that had been in denial almost hoped and prayed that it was another Delilah Tuan, a stranger who she didn't hate, but no. It was exactly the girl she didn't want to see. "Hey," she said quickly in the clipped and cruel voice that she was used to as she crossed her arms.
Kiki gave a sigh and let her arms fall to her sides. She couldn't do this, not now and not here. This was supposed to be her soulmate, after all; She might as well make some kind of effort to be nice to the girl while they got this all sorted out. She gave the girl a smile, albeit a slightly forced one. "I mean, hello," she repeated much more warmly. "... I guess we should head up to the counter, huh?"
She stepped up to the service counter, where an old woman sat typing away on her computer. "Hello," the woman said without taking her eyes off the computer screen, "congratulations on finding each other; Soul mates, after all, are forever. Would you like to look at starter apartments?"
Kiki was all prepared to say this was a mistake once again, but she knew there was no point as soon as she heard the woman: Soul mates were forever, she knew, even if she didn't like it. "Uh, yeah," she said instead.
-

✿❀Kiara Akihiro❀✿ Kiki turned the screen that faced her out towards Delilah so they could both see and began to scroll through the starter homes. They were almost all apartments, and—discouraging to her—almost all one bedrooms. Kiara wasn’t sleeping on the couch, and she definitely wasn’t sharing a bed with this chick.
”We should get a two bedroom,” she said to Delilah as she scrolled through the rooms almost furiously, ”Somewhere with a nice view, maybe?” She let her mind wander off and think about the perfect place, pretending she’d be there with the perfect person. ”Pet friendly, so we could get a cat, and—“
She stopped herself as she saw a two bedroom appear, a place small enough to be affordable but nice enough to be live able, with a small view of the wilderness. ”Here,” she said almost quietly as she let her finger hover over the listing.
-

✿❀Kiara Akihiro❀✿ Kiki gave Delilah a grin, meeting her gaze. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, she thought. Things seemed to be going well so far, They were agreeing on this, at the very least, and weren't arguing out in public. Kiara doubted the charade she had put on would stand much longer, but at the very least she thought she might be able to stand this girl for long enough to keep up appearances.
"We'll take this one," she said to the attendant, and read out the address. Only a few seconds later and the two of them both had their own copy of the key. As the two stepped away from the counter and towards the front door, Kiara looked to Delilah. "I'll meet you there," she sighed, "and then... well, I guess we'll get this all sorted out."
Kiki had dreamed for years of this day. She always thought she'd walk out of here enamored with someone, being bridal carried out the door. As she stepped outside, the girl couldn't deny that the day was the biggest disappointment she thought she might've ever had.
But at the very least, it wasn't as bad of a disappointment as it could've been. She'd have to take solace in the small things for now. -

Bradstreet Springs A smalltime Oregon town known for nothing, nestled in the middle of nowhere. Bradstreet Springs is a quiet place by the ocean, sat between mountains and surrounded by forest. It's a beautiful town, certainly, but being so remote and small it's difficult to find any fun. A kid in a place like Bradstreet is left with a difficult task when summertime comes, trying to find a way to spend their time.
A few teenagers in this town have found each other and made a pact that they'll spend each day of summer like it's their last, finding whatever adventures they can. Their group is all made up of different people, with different personalities, and different backgrounds. With any luck, the group will be able to look past these differences and make some memories until school rolls back around.
Rules - All characters will be between 14 and 18
- Characters can know each other before the summertime agreement and already know of it, or they can be complete strangers
- Leave a lil' form with the basic info (name, gender, age & sexuality--plus more, if you want) with your first post when you jump in!

Giselle Woodrow
Gender: female
Age: 16
Sexuality: homoromantic, homosexual
Personality: Giselle is a ray of sunshine, optimistic and kind to an almost obnoxious degree. The girl is rather quiet and dreamy, her head often in the clouds and daydreaming. She's an artist to her core; she carries a sketchpad with her everywhere, and often tries to coax everyone she comes across into letting her draw a portrait of them.
History: The girl has lived in Bradstreet her whole life. Her mother disappeared after her younger brother was born and Giselle hasn't seen her since. It's just her, her father, and her younger brother Pablo - now seven years old. Ever since her mother's disappearance, Giselle's father has been almost dysfunctional, and the family has been barely able to get by. The three live in a cottage on the edge of town by the forest, a bit far but nice and peaceful as well.
- has a pet rabbit named Chompers who she's been hiding from her dad for about a year
- takes care of her entire family
- has a lil' garden in her room
- her brother calls her Elle
- probably started the whole summer pact thing

✿❀Giselle Woodrow❀✿ Giselle snuck out of her house early in the morning, taking special care not to wake up her father or brother. The girl had been up for an hour or so, at least from before the sun rose - she'd made some breakfast for the rest of her family and cleaned away the cans and stench of beer her father had left after getting home from work the night before. Now she stood on their porch, taking in the warm sunlight.
It was the first day of summer break.
Giselle had spent all the summers before with only her brother as company, taking care of the boy and cleaning up after her father. This time, though, she was hoping it went differently. Because this time, Giselle had a plan. The girl rolled out her yellow bike and slung her backpack over her shoulders. She rode off to town, where she wanted to spend the day and get her bearings for the summer. The girl had a goal today--keep her eye out for other kids and try to get them in on her plan for the perfect summer break.

Muse A and her gang of troublemakers are known around Deadcreek High School as bad news. She's known to be unfeeling and disrespectful, with a glare that can destroy the strictest of teachers and punch that stops the most obnoxious classmates. The girl is rarely if ever even seen in class, always skipping, and no one outside of her gang has heard a word from her outside of snarky comments and warnings before punches get thrown.
Muse B is a prim and straight-laced student who is known for good grades and a softspoken attitude. Because of this, Muse A has been inordinately rude to Muse B since the beginning of the school year.
This pattern of rudeness ends when Muse B ends up at a bad party and gets her drink drugged. After seeing the girl pass out, Muse A takes Muse B to her home to keep the girl safe and takes care of her throughout the night. After waking up the next morning, the two of them form a sort of friendship. Over time, that might form into something more.

Beatrice Aspen - 16 - Female - Lesbian - Muse A
Personality: Bea has a hard, cold shell around her, one that very few have been able to crack. The girl does just about anything she can that's self-destructive: smoking, drinking, getting into fights and skipping class whenever she can. She's as rude as possible and tries extremely hard to keep a bad reputation. Behind that cold exterior, however, Bea is a secret sweetheart. She refuses to sit back and watch anyone be hurt for no reason. She's been known to stand up for the weirdos around school when they're getting picked on; Many of these misfits join her gang after getting her help.
History: Beatrice's mother died in childbirth, and her father could never forgive the girl for "killing" his wife. Her father turned to alcohol after her mother's death and, as long as she can remember, he's been verbally and physically abusing Bea. After developing a heavy gambling addiction Bea's family lost most of their money, and they've been slowly descending into poverty for most of her life. Bea finds support in a group of friends, The Bumbles, her gang of misfits that she's helped out over the years.

✿❀Kiara Akihiro❀✿ Kiara stepped out the doors and into the parking lot, her heels hitting the hard pavement and the brisk wind blowing back her hair. She had to clutch her scarf and her coat to her side to keep them from blowing off her--it was a late spring, and the cold of winter still bit the air.
The girl stepped towards her car, parked towards the front doors, and leaned on it while she pulled up the directions for the apartment. As she was mapping her way, the girl looked up out of the corner of her eye and saw Delilah standing there, almost clueless. "Uh, hey," she said, biting back her pride, "I can give you a ride if you'd like."

❀✿❋-- oml i love her ! here's my gal and a first post~

✿❀Margaret Siobhan Love❀✿ ~"Meg"
~bisexual
~grounded, stubborn, an old-soul, hotheaded, mature, pessimistic
~born in the town she lives in now. her mother died in childbirth and her father was dysfunctional and abusive, so meg largely ended up raising herself. because of this she had to grow up fast. started working at a bookstore called The Dusty Bookshelf in middle school and now she owns it. no longer has any family in the town that she speaks to.
~lives in the apartment above the bookstore
~has a cat named annie who wanders around the bookstore most of the day

✿❀Margaret Siobhan Love❀✿ Meg hadn't remembered drifting off the night before, but it was clear to her that she had when the girl was woken up that morning by the sunlight in the window in front of her, her head lying on top of the ledgers and novels that covered her desk. The girl groaned as she slowly lifted her head up and looked at her work. She'd pulled an all nighter, or at the very least had tried to, attempting to deal with the finances and stocking the store all in one night. It may have been too ambitious of a task for one night, she realized now as she had never gotten to bed.
Eventually Meg got up and got herself a cup of coffee, while thinking to herself about her current dilemma. The store hardly had enough money to get by, and right now she was the only one working it--she couldn't afford to hire another employee. Now, the girl thought she might be in over her head. She'd been working the store by herself for a few months now, since she cut the last employee for budget, and in that time she'd got a fourth of the sleep she was used to with the overwhelming amount of work she had.Even now, Meg realized as she looked down at her watch, the girl didn't have time to rest--the store opened in ten minutes.
Margaret rushed to get herself presentable and downed her cup of coffee, ignoring the burn on her tongue. She ran down the stairs, almost tripping over Annie who had chosen to lounge right in her path, and headed down to the counter, turning the sign to say open just in time.
With a sigh of relief, Meg knew the Dusty Bookshelf would live to see at least one more day.
