    The Suite

You're fresh out of high school, a starry-eyed and fresh adult who's just been accepted at a nice university. You're finally ready to leave your teenage years behind and start your life. After looking into student housing, you decided to get a suite shared between you and five other freshmen. You're all different folks, with different backgrounds, and different personalities.

This is going to be interesting.

Slot 2 - Mason Rhett Kwanten

Slot 3 - Cleo Aderyn Schmidt

Slot 4 - Malakai Edward St. Claire

    Slot 5 - Remington Rushing

    ✿❀Lucette Crawford❀✿

Lucette let out a sigh as she pulled up to the dorm building in her blue mini cooper, parking near the front. She stopped the car and took a moment to lean against the wheel, taking a deep breath. The girl felt deeply anxious, but there was a feeling of peace deep within her too. After all, this was her first time away from the frigid place that was her parents' home, the first time she felt at ease for quite a while. A grin spread across her face as she stepped out of the car and grabbed her stuff.

Though Lucy came from a place of wealth and had pretty much everything she wanted growing up, there wasn't too much that she wanted to take with her; After all, only half a room of the suite was going to be hers. She had two suitcases and a messenger bag, along with the trusty minifridge that'd occupied her bedroom since halfway through highschool--for half a year she hardly left that room for anything, stocking up her fridge for a month and living off it until it ran out. It was currently filled with empty tupperware. Lucy threw on the messenger bag and grabbed her luggage--she would go back for the fridge after setting up for the night. She wheeled her things into the building and headed to the receptionist, grabbing her key and information.

Lucette bounced up and down on her heels as she rode up in the elevator, memorizing the other names on her information sheet, the names of her soon to be suitemates. Soon she arrived at the third floor and searched around until she found her room number. The girl fumbled with the key but eventually got the door open and stepped into the suite.

"Hello?" She called out, and heard no one--sounded like she was alone. It opened into a hall with three doors, she assumed to be the bedrooms. In any case, she turned straight into the first one and saw two beds. After a quick game of eeny-meeny-miny-moe she jumped to the bed closest to the wall and put down her bags, starting to unpack.

    ✿❀Etta Brimvale❀✿

A part of Etta wanted to tear the letter to shreds when she first got it; Another part of her wanted to drop to her knees and pray her thanks for it to whatever god there was.

It had been years since Etta had wanted to think about the guild, years since she'd allowed herself anything more than dreams about it. Ever since her father passed she had vowed to move on like she always did and forget it all, and for the most part she'd achieved her goal. She'd avoided seeing any of the team of her past since Aja's ascension to the throne, had kept her ear from hearing any rumors or stories that involved their names. She'd tried as hard as she could to keep the guild from her mind.

And yet when the letter arrived, the girl gripped it in her hand and refused to let go, even though her head told her to throw it away. After all, it had been years since Etta had felt any purpose in her movements the way she did as she made her way to where the letter told her to, traveling as quickly and anxiously as she could, ready for an adventure with stakes and a story. Etta had never been able to take anything too seriously; Even a tale as harrowing as the one the letter outlined existed in her head as merely a fairytale story for her. The only story she'd been in with any consequences... Well, that was one she'd already committed herself to forget, even as she moved back towards it now.

Etta ignored the biting chill in the air as she traveled the best she could. Abner was strapped to her back in his carrier, mewing softly, confined to a blanket she was sure he already soiled--too long in this cold and the cat would be frozen solid, she knew. So she moved quickly towards and into the fortress, quickly shed her coats and freed Abner from his carrier, quickly found her way to the nearest movement with the cat on her shoulder and discovered a small gathering.

The girl didn't look to the others in the room, her eyes quickly passing over them. Instead a cheeky grin spread on her face as her gaze settled on the ram. "Finally," she said, "I haven't had a good meal in ages." She'd eaten nothing but tack and snow for the past two days.

    Bradstreet Springs

A smalltime Oregon town known for nothing, nestled in the middle of nowhere. Bradstreet Springs is a quiet place by the ocean, sat between mountains and surrounded by forest. It's a beautiful town, certainly, but being so remote and small it's difficult to find any fun. A kid in a place like Bradstreet is left with a difficult task when summertime comes, trying to find a way to spend their time.

A few teenagers in this town have found each other and made a pact that they'll spend each day of summer like it's their last, finding whatever adventures they can. Their group is all made up of different people, with different personalities, and different backgrounds. With any luck, the group will be able to look past these differences and make some memories until school rolls back around.

    Rules

    - All characters will be between 14 and 18

    - Characters can know each other before the summertime agreement and already know of it, or they can be complete strangers

    - Leave a lil' form with the basic info (name, gender, age & sexuality--plus more, if you want) with your first post when you jump in!

    ✿❀Giselle Woodrow❀✿

Giselle snuck out of her house early in the morning, taking special care not to wake up her father or brother. The girl had been up for an hour or so, at least from before the sun rose - she'd made some breakfast for the rest of her family and cleaned away the cans and stench of beer her father had left after getting home from work the night before. Now she stood on their porch, taking in the warm sunlight.

It was the first day of summer break.

Giselle had spent all the summers before with only her brother as company, taking care of the boy and cleaning up after her father. This time, though, she was hoping it went differently. Because this time, Giselle had a plan. The girl rolled out her yellow bike and slung her backpack over her shoulders. She rode off to town, where she wanted to spend the day and get her bearings for the summer. The girl had a goal today--keep her eye out for other kids and try to get them in on her plan for the perfect summer break.

Richeton Academy for Brilliant Girls is one of the most prestigious schools in Oregon. It's the pique of private education, with small classes and rigorous courses--not to mention how strict they are with everything from uniforms to dorm decorations--and extremely difficult to get into, if your parents don't have deep pockets.

Muse A is not used to any of the things Richeton provides, nor any other private school. She's been public schooled her whole life and is quite the rebel, refusing to follow rules.

Muse B, on the other hand, has gone to Richeton and schools like it her whole life. Strict and well-read, she prefers the structure the school brings to her, and is quite straight-laced.

These two opposites collide when Muse A's parents force her to go to Richeton and she and Muse B become roommates at the school. How do polar opposites get along? And is it possible something deeper will blossom from their relationship?

drop a short form for either muse and we can get started~

Richeton Private Academy is a prestigious boarding school known for its rigorous courseload and famous alumni. The administration at this school have maintained a strong academic environment for the centuries that the school has been open by being extremely strict and stifling every aspect of their students that doesn't help them gain academic strength for the school. As such, students are allowed few freedoms--uniforms are strictly regulated, dorm decorations must be sparse, and non-academic activities are few.

Relationships, though not encouraged, are allowed. Unless, of course, you're attracted to the same-sex in any way. Richeton, with its strict religious roots, looks down upon any part of the lgbt community. Students have been known to be expelled for dating the same sex or openly transitioning gender. Those students who are lgbt must live in secret.

One of the ways these students have found to meet is the small and barely known Geography Club. The Geography Club, under the rouse of its name, is a secret meeting place for these students. It is kept in an unused classroom in the old wing of the school after class every day, and is one of the few ways lgbt students can express themselves.

This rp will follow the lives of the Geography Club members while they try to balance their own drama with hiding it all from the rest of the school.

-- any lgbt label can be used! Diversity is encouraged~

-- students can be long time members of the club or can be recently joined; some can be new invites who've never been there if you'd like

-- this was based on the movie Geography Club, but you don't have to have seen it to participate!

Muse A and her gang of troublemakers are known around Deadcreek High School as bad news. She's known to be unfeeling and disrespectful, with a glare that can destroy the strictest of teachers and punch that stops the most obnoxious classmates. The girl is rarely if ever even seen in class, always skipping, and no one outside of her gang has heard a word from her outside of snarky comments and warnings before punches get thrown.

    Her only weakness?

Muse B, a prim and straight-laced student who is known for good grades and a softspoken attitude. Somehow, this girl has caught the eye of Muse A. The troublemaker has an unlikely and personally useless crush on Muse B. Because of this, Muse A has been inordinately rude to Muse B since the beginning of the school year.

This pattern of rudeness ends when Muse B ends up at a bad party and gets her drink drugged. After seeing the girl pass out, Muse A takes Muse B to her home and takes care of her throughout the night. After waking up the next morning, the two of them form a sort of friendship. Over time, that might form into something more.

    ✿❀Etta Brimvale❀✿

Etta could see Abner's nose twitch as the kitten caught sight of a bird nearby, his tail swishing as the cat wandered toward the creature. The girl chuckled and clucked her tongue. She scooped the kitten up in her arms. "No need to make a meal of yourself," she laughed--Abner was hardly a fierce and magnificent creature. If she was pushed to bet on who would win a fight, the girl would consider placing her money on a mouse over her own cat. Indeed, she would have to protect Abner somehow.

All the more reason to find a room now for herself and the creature. After retrieving her things from the doorway, Etta wandered through the halls until she found a room that she deemed adequate. It was a small space, with simple furniture--meant for a servant, she assumed. But small meant easier to keep warm, and Etta hadn't exactly been expecting luxury when she arrived here. The girl ripped the bed of its threadbare sheets and replaced them with her furs. She lit the rusty lanterns and cleared dust out of a corner of the room. There, she placed her cat's carrier, smoothing out the blanket at the bottom--she was pleased to see that it wasn't the mess she thought it would be. Abner curled up on this bed of his.

After finding a shallow box beneath the bed and emptying it of dust and dead spiders, Etta placed it next to the cat's bed and filled it with some of the sand she'd carried in a jar with her from the coast--kitty litter, so living in the same room as the animal would at least be bearable. She grabbed a few crumbs of jerky from her pack and placed them near the cat's sleeping head. "I'll get you some water later tonight," she whispered as she brushed her fingers through the cat's tangled coat and got a soft purr in response.

Now Etta was left with a tough decision--to unpack, or not to unpack? She had a few keepsakes in her pack, but was unsure whether to leave them where they were or not. After all, they had rarely even left her knapsack in the last 11 years.

Swallowing the lump in her throat, Etta decided she would stay here for a bit, at least long enough to pack back up her things before she left. Slowly, she cleared the dust off the bedside table and set out the rest of her items. A weathered fantasy book, a seashell, a pocketbook for balancing funds that she'd re-purposed as her journal--all of it found a place near her bed. She tucked her father's letters under her pillow and decided that would have to do.

Etta hardly allowed herself a moment to rest; Instead, after a deep breath, she jumped to her feet and flew out the door. "Adventure awaits!" she called out to herself as she began to explore.

    ✿❀Amber Keun❀✿

Amber sat in the back of her parents' Prius, her suitcase sitting on her lap and her brother pushed up next to her, checking his own belongings to make sure everything was there. The two of them were listening to soft classical music over the radio while their parents bickered about whatever they were mad about this week--it always seemed to be something. The girl looked out the window and tried to ignore the happenings in the car.

Only a few minutes left, she thought, and this drive would be over. She'd be back at Richeton and away from the stress of summer and her parents. She looked through her dorm information on her phone one more time. The name for her roommate was one she didn't recognize, odd for a small school like Richeton, but she supposed it couldn't go too wrong. While she was lost in her student information yet again, the car came to a stop and her family wished the girl a swift goodbye. Amber quickly gathered her things and jumped out of the car, waving goodbye while they drove off to Richeton's sibling school for boys to drop off her brother. Their goodbyes were always impersonal, ever since she was dropped off at kindergarten; The Keun family just didn't get emotional, even when they knew they wouldn't see each other again until Thanksgiving break.

With a deep breath, the girl turned and found her way onto campus and into the dorm building. She spent a few minutes in the lobby getting reacquainted with friends and talking about summer, but eventually her suitcase weighed her down and the girl knew she had to go to her room. She grabbed her key from the receptionist and headed up to the third floor, navigating through the halls till she found her number. The girl fumbled with the key but eventually got the door and stepped in, quickly scanning the room to find it empty. She claimed the bed on the right and sat down to unpack.

    ✿❀Beatrice Aspen❀✿

It was a stupid decision, she knew. It wasn't her business, what was happening to other folks at parties; She shouldn't have even caught the guy dip the drug into the girl's drink, nor should she have seen her begin to stumble throughout the night. Bea wouldn't have, if she hadn't been glancing at Alice for the entire night because of that stupid crush she had. Even if she had helped her, she could've just sent her home with someone else or call someone through her phone to pick her up.

But Bea hadn't left Ally alone, nor had she tried to find someone else to offload her on; Instead, when she passed out on the floor and a couple creeps started to circle her like sharks, Bea panicked and brought Alice home with her, sneaking the girl past her dad and lying her down on her bed for the night. And now she was home the next morning, lying on a makeshift bed on the carpet and regretting every choice she'd ever made.

With a groan Bea rose to her feet and tiptoed out of her room. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes filled the house, and by the trail of empty cans leading to her dad's room, she knew the man was passed out cold--something to be thankful for, if she could avoid him when he woke up hungover that afternoon. It was late on Saturday morning, and sun was creeping in through the windows. Bea snagged a cigarette from her dad's pack and started to whip up breakfast. Some pancakes, she decided, would help sweeten Alice up while she tried to explain why she woke up in someone else's bed.

Muse A has always gotten everything she wants. Rich and spoiled since the day she was born, she's never had to want for anything, as long as she's done what her parents say. In school, that meant getting good grades; In young adulthood, that meant getting married into another rich family.

Muse A ignores the fact that she's not in love with the man she's engaged to at all, until the wedding day. Suddenly filled with panic, she runs away halfway through the wedding, catching a bus with the small amount of cash she has and getting over to the next town with nothing but some spare change and the wedding dress she's wearing.

Muse B is a grounded owner of a bookstore in that town. She's never been privileged, but she made her own way in the world and is at the very least getting by.

When Muse A turns up in her bookstore in a wedding dress, tears running down her face, Muse B can't help but feel sorry for the stranger. Against her better judgement, Muse B lets the runaway bride work in her store and move into her apartment, at least until she gets back on her feet and gets her new life together.

How will a rich kid get along without her parents' wallet? Will the small town girl be able to take it? And will Muse A and Muse B feel something more for each other as their new life together goes on?

    ✿❀Beatrice Aspen❀✿

Bea was mid pancake flip on her second batch when she heard the crash from the dining room. She froze, terrified for a moment that it was her father--that he'd gotten up before her and now was headed towards the kitchen. He'd find any reason to get angry with her, and she was sure that cooking without asking or smoking in the house would be worthy of a few bruises to him. At first she wanted to run back to her room and hope he wouldn't follow her. Much more terrifying, though, was the idea that he'd get in her room and see Ally. Not only would her punishment be worse for bringing someone home, Bea knew that Alice would get a few punches thrown at her two.

Bea couldn't let that happen, so she decided to just get things over with before they could get worse. With a sigh of resignation she set down her spatula and snuffed out her cigarette on the counter. She stepped away from the counter and clenched her fists as she made her way to the kitchens. Deep breaths, she thought, close your eyes and think about a funny movie until he's done. Hesitantly, she stepped into the dining room.

To find a knocked over chair and a stumbling Ally. Bea quickly loosened up and let a grin spread onto her face, her heartbeat slowing to a normal pace--he really was in his room, she'd escaped him for another morning. "Ah, you're up," she said with a smile. "Sorry for kidnapping you, but I figured it'd be better for you to be here than with the creeps that drugged you. Do you feel alright? I made some breakfast, if you're hungry. At least, some water should make you feel better."

Bea bit her tongue, trying to get herself to shut up--she never talked this much unless the bumbles were around, but here she was talking off the ear of this hungover and terrified girl. She leaned down and reached out a hand instead, trying to help the girl up.

    ✿❀Giselle Woodrow❀✿

Giselle couldn't help but zone out as she rode her bike, no matter how hard she tried to focus; it was in her nature for her mind to wander, and a bike ride was the perfect time for her to do so. As she leaned back comfortably and let her eyes close for a moment, soaking in the summer sun, the only thing that could bring her back down to earth was someone else calling out her name.

The girl quickly jerked her head forward and opened her eyes. The bike was quickly racing toward her friend Vann, who had called out her name and was waving at her. Panicked, Giselle suddenly squeezed down on the handbrake and swerved the bike to the right. The bike was in the lawn next to the sidewalk before it slowed to a stop. Giselle swung her leg to the side before the bike could totter over, and jumped off.

She grinned and returned Vann's wave as she walked the bike back onto the sidewalk. "Hey," she said with a smile, "Nice to see you up so early!"
