Amber was quick with her unpacking - she quickly put her few already folded outfits away in the drawers beneath her bed, ready for days off when they didn’t wear their uniform. Her skirt and blazer were hung up on the side of her desk, with her spare uniform tucked behind it. The girl was just getting to her bedding when she heard a knock at the door and an unfamiliar but friendly voice.

”Come in,” she said, trying to return the same level of cheeriness. She was a both excited and nervous to meet this new girl - every year before, Amber has roomed with familiar friends. It almost felt like bad luck that she was roomed with one of the few new kids. It would be fun, she told herself, and tried to clear her mind.

Amber gave Ava a grin as the girl walked in and began to unpack. "The one and only," she said with a smile as she pulled out her sheets and started to put together the bed. Her bedding was all a pure white, free of stains - her mother would've killed her if the girl got anything on it. All of her school supplies were meant to last until the girl graduated, she knew, and her parents hated to replace their things until they absolutely needed it. This, she knew after enough lectures, was the infamous immigrant mentality - nothing she could blame them for, but a bit annoying, if she was honest.

After the sheets were done Amber pulled out her books and school stuff, arranging them all neatly on the desk. "Oh, a few minutes ago," she answered to the question, "not far before you." The girl stowed her sketchbook and paints away in the drawers, along with all the other miscellaneous and small items that didn't have much of a place. After lining up her laptop with the books and slinging her backpack over the back of the chair, all she had left were a few photos.

Amber slipped off her shoes and sat down on her bed. "So," she said as she began taping the photos up above her bed - a few of her family, though most of them showed the girl at school events and with the other Richeton girls - "what brought you here? I mean, we don't get a lot of transfers at this school."

*this is based on the High Class Homos comic by momozerii. you do not have to be familiar with the comic however*

In a time of kings and queens, those of nobility have one expectation above all else - to protect and raise their family name. One of the most effective ways of gaining status is through marriage.

A prince and princess of two foreign kingdoms have been given suitor after suitor by their parents, finding a way to reject all of them. Their secret is this: The prince likes men, and the princess likes women. To save face, the princess has come to visit the kingdom of the prince and the two have put together a plan; Publicly make it look like they're in a relationship and eventually get engaged, no true romantic strings involved.

Until then, the two are searching for their own relationships to carry out in secret within the castle walls. Perhaps some of the palace's staff will end up catching their fancy - a maid or a knight, for example.

    Prince... Lincoln Rosemonde

    Princess... Giselle Alicea

    Knight... Fionn Armistead

    Maid... Scarlet Smith

Carriage rides were possibly the most boring things Giselle would ever experience. She and her royal guard had been riding for three days now, stopping only for a few minutes each day to switch horses and drivers. She wasn't allowed to do much in her carriage but watch the scenery go by; Playing with Archibald gave her a few minutes of entertainment, but it was hardly enough for the ride. By the time they arrived at the foreign kingdom, the girl was itching for something to do.

Giselle had heard stories of the prince of this kingdom; He'd found a way to turn down every possible suitor who found him, just like her. The girl wasn't sure, but she had a hunch the two were alike in their distaste for the opposite gender, and so her plan was put into place to get the suitors off her back once and for all. Publicly, she was on her way here to court the prince. She could only hope he was less interested in this than most of her suitors were. It was a risk to propose such a plan to him, certainly, but it was a risk she was willing to take.

The princess practically leapt out of the carriage as soon as it came to a halt, ignoring the servant who was making his way to open the door for her. She smoothed out her dress and grabbed Archibald's carrier, putting on a regal expression as the doors to the palace opened and she was escorted inside.

Giselle tried to focus, she really did - she furrowed her brow and sat as uncomfortably on the bike as she could, to keep herself on her toes. It seemed like her mind wandering was inevitable. The endless sidewalk ahead of her was hypnotizing, and before long the girl's head was high in the clouds and she was simply thoughtlessly riding her bike forward without a care.

Giselle really had to stop doing that.

Normally it was a hedge or a trashcan that she ended up running into. She'd gotten cuts and bruises from her little bike crashes before, but nothing too serious, and it'd always been early enough that no one else was out on the street for her to worry about. She'd never crashed into a person before, anyway--which was exactly what happened now. One moment she was on her bike without a care, faintly aware of a girl in front of her with a limp in her legs and her hands in her hoodie pocket. And the next Giselle was knocked onto this girl, her bike between the two of them. "Oh my god," she said as she was snapped into reality, "are you alright?" Giselle hopped to her feet and pulled her bike off the girl.

    The Suite

You're fresh out of high school, a starry-eyed and fresh adult who's just been accepted at a nice university. You're finally ready to leave your teenage years behind and start your life. After looking into student housing, you decided to get a suite shared between you and five other freshmen. You're all different folks, with different backgrounds, and different personalities.

This is going to be interesting.

    Slot 1 - Lucette Park

Slot 2 - Mason Rhett Kwanten

Slot 3 - Cleo Aderyn Schmidt

Slot 4 - Malakai Edward St. Claire

    Slot 5 - Remington Rushing

    Slot 6 - Marissa Castellano

"Oh, good," Giselle said with a grin as she saw the other girl was okay. She straightened her bike and looked over herself now - other than a small bruise on her knee, she was fine. That was actually pretty good compared to her other crashes. "Oh, I'm fine," she said as she straightened her backpack.

Giselle looked over the girl who now stood in front of her for a long moment. With her limp, the long sleeves, and the girl's perpetually sour expression, she was sure that the person had a story to tell. The blonde was resisting the urge to pull out her sketchbook right now and capture this character on paper.

"I haven't seen you around before," she said after the stare. "I'm Giselle."

Amber nodded. "Well, if your grades were good enough to get a scholarship, I'm sure you'll be fine around here." She had finished putting up the pictures and now lay back on her bed for a few moments, turning her sights to Ava as she unpacked. "I've always gone to private school," she said with a chuckle. "And I always bring the same stuff and live in practically the same dorm. You'll get used to it, too, if you stay here." Amber had been living in dorms like this since seventh grade when she was enrolled in a boarding school for middle schoolers. She was honestly a bit curious about what it was like to go to public school and live at home; It had been so long since she'd been at home for anything more than a summer break.

Amber tried to give Ava a warm smile--she seemed so nervous about asking her question. "Of course I can," she said. "The counselor already emailed me and made sure our schedules were the same, so I'll be around to help all semester." She looked down at her watch. "Speaking of which," she said, "Pretty soon they'll be doing 'orientation' downstairs in the common room. You should come with me; It's a great way to get to know the other girls."

Richeton dorm buildings were required to have some kind of orientation the first night, but beyond the freshman buildings there wasn't much purpose for them--after all, they rarely got transfers, so all the girls were already familiar with their school. So, instead Amber's building had always treated 'orientation' like a slumber party. All the girls, including the RA's, sat around the common room in their pajamas and gossiped. At this point they had 'orientation' every Friday night, and even though she rarely made it to these, Amber was always sure to go to the first one and catch up with her friends.

Giselle gave the guard who helped her a goofy grin as she took his arm and made her way towards the prince. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as the prince kissed her hand, pulling it back almost too quickly before giving him a curtsy; she hated these formalities, but they were imperative to keeping up appearances. "It's a pleasure, Prince Lincoln," she said. The man's behavior supported her suspicions; There was an air of distaste around him, as if he hated this arrangement.

She chuckled as she heard her cat hiss at the two dogs with the prince. She would have to get Archibald used to a new kingdom, especially one with dogs roaming the castle; Alicea was nearly barren of animals, and the only pets around were other cats for Archibald to torment. Her heart already ached for her kingdom, but that was behind her now. She would probably never return to the place again, if her plan worked out. The girl shook herself of these thoughts.

Giselle gave a small shrug. "It was as pleasant as a carriage ride can be," she said. "And how are matters here?" The small talk wasn't what she was after, but Giselle knew she couldn't drop the royal act just yet, not until they were alone.
