Richeton Academy for Brilliant Girls is one of the most prestigious schools in Oregon, certainly the most when it comes to girls schools. The pique of private schools, with small classes and rigorous courses - not to mention how strict they are with everything from uniforms to dorm decorations - the school is extremely difficult to get into.

Muse A is not used to any of the things Richeton provides, nor any other private school. She's been public schooled her whole life and is quite the rebel, refusing to follow rules.

Muse B, on the other hand, has gone to Richeton and schools like it her whole life. Strict and well-read, she prefers the structure the school brings to her, and is quite straight-laced.

These two opposites collide when Muse A's parents force her to go to Richeton and she and Muse B become roommates at the school. How do polar opposites get along? And is it possible something deeper will blossom from their relationship?

Muse B is a free spirit looking for travel and a good time, who’s never had a relationship beyond a fling. She’s booked a summer cruise so she can explore the globe, what happens to be the same cruise as Muse A.

When the two of them meet on the cruise, a curious relationship begins to blossom, and the two begin to have romantic feelings for each other. But can Muse A manage to choose love over the man she’s already with? And can Muse B ever commit to a real relationship?

Amber sat in the back of her parents' Prius, her suitcase sitting on her lap and her brother sitting next to her, poking her with a pencil. The two of them were listening to soft classical music over the radio while their parents bickered about whatever they were mad about this week - it always seemed to be something. The girl looked out the window and tried to ignore the happenings in the car.

Only a few minutes left, she thought, and this drive would be over. She'd be back at Richeton and away from the stress of summer and her parents. She looked through her dorm information on her phone one more time. The name for her roommate was one she didn't recognize, odd for a small school like Richeton, but she supposed it couldn't go too wrong. While she was scrolling through her schedule and information one more time, the car came to a stop and her family wished the girl a goodbye. Amber quickly gathered her things and jumped out of the car, waving goodbye while they drove off to drop her brother off at Richeton's sibling school for boys. Their goodbyes were always impersonal, ever since she was dropped off at kindergarten; The Keun family just didn't get emotional, even when they knew they wouldn't see each other again until Thanksgiving break.

With a deep breath, the girl turned and found her way onto campus and into the dorm building. She spent a few minutes in the lobby getting reacquainted with friends and talking about summer, but eventually her suitcase weighed her down and the girl knew she had to go to her room. She grabbed her key from the receptionist and headed up to the third floor, navigating through the halls till she found her number. The girl fumbled with the key but eventually got the door and stepped in, quickly scanning the room to find it empty. She claimed the bed on the right and sat down to unpack.

In a world based upon reality where magic is practiced in secret, those with magical abilities are placed in danger, and have no way to learn to use their abilities beyond trial and error in the privacy of their own home. One with a witch's gift may never even learn of their abilities, and if they do, they'll have nothing to do about it unless they know other witches in their day to day life.

Well, no more. Maga Magicae Academy has been founded to educate young witches in the ways of their magic and allow them to learn how to practice magic in secret. When they turn 18, each witch receives a formal letter as an invitation to the Academy. It doesn't work as a traditional school with classes; Rather, each witch who stays there is given access to the library of magic and teachers, as well as the enchanted forest surrounding the academy. They are free to do as much or as little as they choose while staying at Maga.

So, your letter has arrived. Why not give Maga a chance?

"Did you pack everything?” Colette asked Daniel as she hoisted their suitcases and began to board the cruise ship. ”All of the documents on the McRevor case, and your second pair of glasses, and the books?” She continued her way down the long list of things they could've forgotten. The two were already on the deck of the ship, but that wouldn’t keep Cole from being a stresscase.

Daniel assured her that he’d remembered everything, and Colette gave him a smile as they walked to their cabin. ”That’s why I love you,” She said with a smile, trying to hide the awkwardness she felt when she said the phrase. It was a word she had to get used to, love, but it was what her parents wanted, so she knew she would. Colette had always been like that. She hadn't even wanted to go on this cruise, not much; But her parents and Daniel had put in together as a surprise, and it wasn't like the girl could decline.

Colette used the keycard they had been given to unlock the cabin door and stepped in. It was like a small hotel room, a bit sparse but enough. They quickly began to unpack their things and Colette started organizing.

Luckily, it didn’t take Colette too long to organize her things on the desk provided by the cruise. She laid out the papers for the case she was currently working on, and was considering holing up in the place all night to work; It was probably what Daniel would do, so at least the two would be together. But her eyes quickly glazed over as she read through all the legal talk. She tugged at the sleeve of her blazer - it was too hot and too laid back here for blazers and pencil skirts, but it was what she was used to.

Maybe she should change that.

With a small sigh, Colette got out of her chair and headed to the suitcase. Daniel was quite like she usually was, hunched over a legal document. He didn’t notice as Colette changed into something she thought was much more appropriate - a floral print beach dress and some sandals. She threw her sunglasses on her forehead and headed to the door. ”I’m going to go explore,” she said to Daniel, who merely grunted in response. She was almost glad. The girl needed some alone time, and honestly didn't want to hang out with him, though she knew she was supposed to. Cole stepped out of the cabin and found her way above deck, ready to look around.

A smalltime Oregon town known for nothing, nestled in the middle of nowhere. Bradstreet Springs is a quiet place by the ocean, sat between mountains and surrounded by forest. It's a beautiful town, certainly, but being so remote and small it's difficult to find any fun. A kid in a place like Bradstreet is left with a difficult task when summertime comes, trying to find a way to spend their time.

A few teenagers in this town have found each other and made a pact that they'll spend each day of summer like it's their last, finding whatever adventures they can. Their group is all made up of different people, with different personalities, and different backgrounds. With any luck, the group will be able to look past these differences and make some memories until school rolls back around.

Giselle snuck out of her house early in the morning, taking special care not to wake up her father or brother. The girl had been up for an hour or so, at least from before the sun rose - she'd made some breakfast for the rest of her family and cleaned away the cans and stench of beer her father had left after getting home from work the night before. Now she stood on their porch, taking in the warm sunlight.

It was the first day of summer break.

Giselle had spent all the summers before with only her brother as company, taking care of the boy and cleaning up after her father. This time, though, she was hoping it went differently. Because this time, Giselle had a plan. The girl rolled out her yellow bike and slung her backpack over her shoulders. She rode off to town, where she wanted to spend the day and get her bearings for the summer. The girl had a goal today - keep her eye out for other kids and try to get them in on her plan for the perfect summer break.

As Cole looked around at all the other folks who all seemed perfectly in place on the ship, making her feel even less comfortable where she was, her eyes were quickly drawn to one thing: The bar. Finally, something she was familiar with. The girl might've drank a bit more than she should've, but it might've been the one activity she liked that her parents approved of.

The girl slid onto a bar stool. "Old fashioned," she said to the bartender, "on the rocks." She anxiously tapped her fingers on the bar as she waited for the drink, and looked around at the others nearby. Next to her sat a pretty redhead, gazing off at the ocean. Colette couldn't help but smile at the girl as she thought up why she was on the cruise. Surely, she looked more happy here than Cole was. Perhaps she was trying to find herself, or looking for a long lost love in Spain - no matter what, Colette only thought up romantic and beautiful stories for her. People watching was a habit of hers, as was making up backstories for the people she saw, and this one was extremely intriguing.
