After starting the round of gift-giving, Aquarius decided the next person on the list was her dear sister, Astra. However, locating the wandering female was a little bit difficult, since her scent was already all over the fortress. Grumbling to herself as she walked with a large cardboard box precariously balanced on her shoulders, she eventually gave up the needlessly difficult method of searching. "ASTRA! GET OVER HERE FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!" she barked, hoping that Astra was nearby. If she wasn't, then she wasn't sure what she'd do. Give these gifts to another one of her many siblings and then give that sibling's present to Astra later? Seemed like a solid plan.

Well, at least her dad had liked her idea, even if he handed off the bulk of the work to her more affluent sister. Nodding to her father, the adolescent would turn to her sister and grin. "Let me know if you want me to go visit any neutrals or puzzle over which ones to assign rogues to!" she woofed, a chipper note to her voice.
-
"Oh, a New Year's party sounds like fun! I'll hold that one and invite the Frontier, if that works?" she replied, the hellhound looking a bit excited at being able to organize such an occasion. She'd have to track down party hats! And cake! And alcohol! Yes, many things to do, but it seemed like a fun excuse to go explore the world outside her home.
-
As per her monthly task, the draconic hellhound had been tasked with doing some sort of information session. So, she'd done a weird thing -- she'd grabbed a bunch of trivial books and stacked them in one of the cozy areas of the fortress. "HEY GUYS, LET'S LEARN USELESS SHIT!" she barked, thinking that this would be a fun way to interact with everyone. "Your goal is to find the weirdest fact! And whoever finds the weirdest facts... I don't know, I'll bake you cookies?" she continued, not thinking that was a good enough prize. After all, she was really bad at cooking.
"To start... did you know that male bats lactate?" she said, pointing with a finger-like toe at the line in her trivia book where it said that.
-
Thankfully, he showed up exactly when requested -- how polite of him. She passed the basket to him, stretching out her jaw in relief. That was the most impractical way to carry anything heavy, she realized now. "Yup, presents for you, you introverted introvert," she barked back, tail wagging. She doubted he remembered to get her something, considering how he tended towards isolation, but if he got her something that'd be nice, too.
"Now open it up!" she almost seemed to order, excited to see what he thought of her gift. She'd made him a steel chain necklace to match his crown, and stolen a bunch of Kurt Vonnegut books for him. Hopefully he liked some of it.
-
Oh, this was fun -- she was learning all sorts of useless but fun facts. Letting out a chuckle, the hellhound leaned back in her chair as she woofed, "Annie wins this round! Hm, let's see... best two out of three?" Lizards gushing blood out of their eyes as weapons? Males giving birth? Real life was sounding like a bad fanfiction.
"Hm, female kangaroos have three vaginas. That's pretty dope." Weird anatomy? Hell yeah.
-
"Sure, that sounds good!" she barked in return.
>> rushed and that sounds good!! :3

Her father called fora meeting, and the demonic zodiac child was sure to obey. Licking her lips as she padded over, she stood there as she stared at him. It was obvious they would have to wait for even the first set of announcements, and Aquarius was an impatient girl.
-
Hmm, she wondered what her dad got her -- assuming he got her a present at all. Tilting her head, the dragon-hellhound walked over and sat next to Astra.
>> rip my muse

Having completed her last monthly task, Aquarius was pretty ready for this month's challenge. Walking over with a confident swagger to her steps, she barked, "Gimme one!" She didn't give a shit about proving herself to the rest of the rogues in general, but she was sure she wanted to prove herself to her dad and siblings.
-
Well, this wasn't much of a warm welcome, was it? Aquarius seemed to recall some tensions between the rogues and this Clan, but mostly in terms of siding with the Sanguine Ruins? Something of that sort. Either way, she wasn't sure of the source of the actual conflict and wasn't aware of her father's more personal life.
"Well, we heard you guys had a change in leadership recently. We wanted to check up on our neutral status, see if that would stay the status quo," she answered, trying to give them the reason for their visit so they wouldn't be so defensive. Swishing her tail, she looked back at her sister before she stated, "But we'll be on our way if that's for the best." It seemed it would be pointless to assign an ambassador to this Clan, if they hated the mere presence of the rogues at their borders.
-
Following shortly after her sister, the hellhound nodded her greetings to the first Riverside member to approach. This one, naturally, was a little bit... intimidating, though she'd never admit it aloud. She wasn't used to large dragons, besides Feverdreams back home. "Well, the gist of everything is that we wanted to check up on some of our neutrals. I hear Shininglight is doing well as your leader, isn't he?" she barked, trying to sound polite. Aquarius wasn't used to being polite; she was a rough and tumble girl that liked to wrestle with her brothers and forge weapons in the hottest of fires.
>> no no it's fine !!

It was good to see that the Thunderlands weren't hostile to them. After Fragilepast's temporary leadership, Aquarius had been worried about the political tensions between the two groups. Glancing at Astral, she gave her sister an optimistic look. Besides one angry member, it seemed like these guys were friendly to them. Loads better here than in one of the other groups they dropped by to visit.
Turning to Deutschland, she dipped her head in greeting before speaking to him. "It's good to hear that. We were wondering if you would prefer to stay neutral with our home or negotiate over an alliance?" she asked, glancing over at Astral for her sister to step into the conversation. After all, Aquarius wasn't ranked like Astral; she had little say over the politics of her home, even with her interest in the matter.
-
These guys didn't seem very... warm towards them, but they weren't hostile, either. Aquarius didn't sense whether they were in the mood to consider an alliance, so she supposed treading carefully now would probably be for the best. Turning to Levi, she dipped her head as she spoke, "Ah, we were checking up on our neutral relations for the new year. My condolences for the loss of Commander Suga." Was that polite enough? The tomboy wasn't sure, but she hoped she at least didn't offend them.
-
Hm, she felt like giving them all a round of applause! Quite an impressive collection of these weird facts. She certainly didn't know most of them. "Anxiousthoughts wins the second round. Erm, hm, beat this! Female hyenas not only have big clitorises, but they also give birth through that narrow tube! How terrifying," she barked, a bit nauseated herself at the thought.
-
Falling to the ground with a thud, the helhound-dragon rolled to the side. Slinking forward, she attempted to nip at her cousin's back leg with a playful swipe at it. She'd probably get serious soon enough, but it felt weird to jump into a serious spar without warming up her muscles.

Pleased that he seemed happy with all her gifts, the young adult brightened up -- almost in time with his increasing excitement. "Ha, seems I know you pretty well. I'm glad you like everything," she told him, pleased that she'd gotten his book taste down especially. He always seemed so lost in thought, like he was busy visiting some other society in another dimension. Science fiction seemed something he'd like.
"Oh, and don't worry about it! It's the season of giving, not the season of being a greedy bitch," she added with a good-natured shrug. She hadn't expected him to get her anything, so she was good. Low expectations meant a happier life.

well their leader is gonna capture aquarius at some point so they'll probably be active enemies soon
