☆☆☆ weeee this is a really cool idea !!
> rose is loosely based off of mccree from overwatch, as seen by his icon lol
> in his youth he was in a gang
> after he moved on from the gang, he was taken in by a smaller group of assassin-like individuals who did dirty work for a larger, better group they were a part of
> he left this subgroup after figuring out that it was relatively corrupt
> he's usually seen smoking a cigarette, and is probably like 2 seconds from developing lung cancer
add more..? maybe?

― Much like Jersey, Rosemont knew he shouldn't have been so far from camp, especially with his major injury. The pup could have been seen as rebellious, or simply stupid. Regardless, he was there on the mud-coated island with a limp in his step and an immature, yet agonized grin on his lips. His grin faltered a bit when he heard a commotion in front of him, though how far ahead, he didn't know. He continued forward through the slush, occasionally flicking mud from his paws if he saw fit. When he finally came upon the two, arguing over something, Rose threw another grin on his lips before hobbling over as quickly as he could. "What's goin' on?" The lanky pup questioned with a cock of his head, glancing between the two as he drew to a halt, shifting every so often so that he didn't sink into the mud. "What're you tryin' to prove?" Rosemont then inquired soon after his initial query, now looking to Jersey for an answer.

― The list of names had been long, but it was only courteous of Aleksei to include so many of those new and old of the clan. Rosemont was grateful to be mentioned, even if it was merely a shoutout. Anything was better than nothing. He was at least contributing to the group, not sticking to the sidelines as someone possibly would in his situation. The lanky wolf wanted to be active and inclusive; he wanted others to feel welcomed and - somewhat - cared for. And while he did think this, it still came as a shock to him to be given the title of ranger, which supposedly meant that he interacted with the community quite a bit. He remained silent as Aleksei continued, offering positions to most he knew, including Narukami and Aristotle, both of whom he found enjoyable to be around, even if the former was distant and aloof. There was something about the male that drew Rosemont to him; he couldn't explain it. Once their leader had finished, Rosemont parted his lips to speak. "Thanks, and congrats to everybody," the paladin woofed in as pleasant a voice as he could muster.

― Finally, after at least a few months of residing within BlizzardClan, Rosemont had mapped out the islands as well as he could. His mind held its own mental image, one that he could refer back to on a moment's notice if need be. He supposed now, with the task given to him, he would have to be able to look back at it. Giving a tour had been the last thing he wanted to do, but it was about the only thing he could do in his given situation. He glanced down at where his left leg would have been, a feeling of dread washing over him for a moment. He couldn't do this, not with the pain still searing throughout his upper left side. A frown came to his lips as he fiddled with the cigarette between them, a puff of smoke billowing from his maw. The wolf lifted himself from his seated position, standing tall on three paws. His head perked in the direction of his fellow clanmates, lips parting somewhat so that he could call out to them.
"Hey, y'all, if ya wanna join me on a tour 'round the islands, gather up here," Rosemont barked, hopefully loud enough for many of them to hear. He glanced down at his injury again, feeling that sense of unease course through him once again. He reassured himself, however, telling his brain that he would be fine and that he could do it.

― The arrival of Narukami had Rose a bit on edge for a moment, but he relaxed when the professor stated he would bring none of them in. From what he had seen of the older male, he was strict and rather aloof, not showing care for many of the students. Rosemont could potentially understand why, especially since most students were rambunctious and loud. It could irritate anyone and make them distant, uncaring. The same could be said for the student who arrived near him, who he gave a little wave of his hand to. While they were different, Rosemont quite liked Aristotle. It was unfortunate they belonged to different houses.
Rosemont wasn't expecting for them to be needing a buddy system, especially since a good chunk of them were Gryffindors, which meant they were rather reckless and would throw themselves headfirst into the forest. It seemed that Piper was the smartest of them here though for suggesting it, and seeing as how he had taken on the role as leader of the group, Rose figured he would go along with it. After all, Pied had been the first to arrive, as far as he knew, and was the one to call all of them forth, or at least some of them. Another thing he hadn't been expecting was Clove's approach towards him. He hardly knew the female, and he couldn't understand why she would choose him as a buddy when there were many more capable students in their midst. The Hufflepuff offered her a smile in return, grateful that she was being pleasant rather than not. Gryffindors weren't usually mean, unlike Slytherins, so he supposed he was fine with her choice.
"O' course," the older student murmured in reply, smile morphing into a grin as he glanced to the forest. "Got anyplace you wanna go?" Rosemont asked her as he turned to face her again, hiding the half of his arm that remained in his cloak.

― While there weren't many individuals gathered near him, he didn't quite care. As long as there were some people interested in visiting each island, then he supposed his task was close to being finished. Silvershroud was the first to arrive, and while he didn't quite know the male, he gave him a crooked grin anyway. His comment was acknowledged with a slight dip of his head as Canoris arrived, his grin soon faltering. He knew somewhat how she felt about his situation, as she had been outright with her opinions. Rosemont remembered her calling him an idiot for trailing out so far from camp, but at least there had been a reason for it. If it hadn't been for Aristotle, then he wouldn't have lingered there for as long as he did. He was grateful that she at least cared, even if she had a different way of showing it. Once Osiris arrived, he glanced between them both, lips parting to speak to them directly. "If y'all want, you can help out too," Rose suggested in a tone that implied that he was asking for their help rather than not.
The arrival of Babyblues had him distracted for a moment as he listened to the male speak. When his final comment finally rang out, Rose gave a roll of his eyes and a snort. "I'll be fine," he stated rather plainly, head turning so that he could direct the small group out of camp. "If anyone else wants to join, they can," the lanky wolf then said, soon motioning to the four for them to follow him. His pace was sluggish, but it was what they would have to deal with.

― When he awoken that morning, he couldn't help but feel smaller, more compact. There was something about his left front leg that was off as well.. He glanced down at it, and noticed that he actually had one, and that it was tiny compared to what would have been his actual leg. Rosemont gave it a flick, and then a wave, before eventually jumping up onto his paws and standing tall of four paws. A part of him was absolutely ecstatic - he had his leg back! - but the other half was perplexed. This wasn't his body, was it? Fortunately, there was a puddle nearby, one he could look at for his reflection. When Rose glanced down, he saw Chesspieces staring back at him, and his face immediately paled. His left ear twitched in the direction of a commotion not far from him of multiple people calling for other BlizzardClanners. He heard Chesspieces' name, along with Clove, though the rest was a blur after that. It seemed there was something wrong with his right ear.. Anytime he attempted to listen through it, he heard nothing at all. He had to completely rely on his left ear for hearing. Rosemont pursed his lips, but approached the crowd at a trot. It felt good to be able to pick a pace other than walking..
"I heard someone calling for Che-" He cut off when he saw his own body, cursing and flailing around madly. Rosemont knew he was still healing, but clearly the person within his body did not. He winced every time the other creature took a wrong move, or tripped, or even fell. "Be careful," Rosemont snapped at himself, a hiss to his voice. "Yer damn right that ain't Rosemont. I am. Where's Chesspieces? This is his body, ain't it?" The feline asked Clove, who was inhabiting Yanyu's body, in a rather strained voice.

― Rosemont was glad to see that Aristotle could come out of his shell while with him; it made him feel as though he could actually help the male, at least to some extent. It was odd seeing him so.. lively though, especially since their first few interactions had been rather dull and monotonous. The other male's comments left him pondering to himself, but he couldn't think of anything for them to do other than sit there and stare at the water. His condition left him rather immobile, and therefore he wouldn't be very thrilling to be around or with. "Got any ideas then?" Rosemont questioned with a cock of his head, peering down at the laying feline. He winced as he shifted, body jolting for a moment. "Cuz I sure don't," the lanky wolf added on in a soft woof, giving Ari a crooked grin, one that seemed tired.
no worries!! this is super late so i mean lmaO

― It seemed there were quite a few in need of a check up, himself included. His leg hadn't ached as much, but there were. times when the wound left behind would still bleed, and therefore he was worried for it. He wasn't surprised that it hadn't scabbed over yet, as he was constantly moving around, reopening the injury with each movement. It was foolish of him to continue to do what he did, but he didn't care. If it took months to heal, then he would deal with it, even if it hurt like hell. His eyes scanned the scene as he stepped up, seeing what he believed to be a flustered Sundance rushing around to check on Jerseyboy and replying to Narukami about Niko. When he heard that the child had gotten a scratch, his features distorted into one of concern, though it only lasted for a fleeting moment.
The male sat back with a soft wheeze, settling on his haunches in a relaxed manner. "err, Sundance, when ya get the chance, would ya mind checkin' on me too?" Rosemont questioned the female, hoping not to make her feel too overwhelmed. His tone held a certain drowsiness to it, almost as if he was somewhat defeated. While he didn't care how long it took for what remained on his limb to heal, it was still a burden, and one that exhausted him. It took too much effort to get around and be an active member of the group. Pessimistic thoughts plagued his mind as he waited for his turn to come, though he glanced to Jerseyboy for a moment, confused. "What happened to you?" Rose questioned, seeing as he hadn't been there for the male's conflict.

rosie pls and thank even tho they havent interacted at like,, all

― The camp was lively, animated even, but he stuck out like a sore thumb amongst those bustling about. Rosemont sat rather stiffly on the sidelines, simply observing the NPCs as they ran around, interacting with one another and passing him second glances if they walked near him. He could see the pity in their eyes, and while it was something he wouldn't have been able to pick up on before, he definitely could now. It was all he saw, and he was tired of it. Not only was he exhausted from his injury, the mental and emotional toll it had taken was draining as well. The formally optimistic, positive male was now rather pessimistic, though he had maintained his amiable, outgoing attitude at times. It was arduous to bring out, but he managed well enough. Perhaps that was why no one was talking to him then; he appeared so unapproachable. There was a look in his eyes that screamed 'leave me alone', so he doubted anyone would be willing to approach him with that written on his features. With a sigh, the male only sank back further on his haunches, a puff of smoke escaping his maw as he did so. At least there was no one there to stop him from smoking, as Irene had done.
NARUKAMI
sorry its so bad ;;

― This would be the perfect opportunity to get what remained of his limb checked on, given the situation. He felt bad for Sundance, mostly because she seemed to be the only one to be giving these check-ups. There was a lack of Irene and Ella, who were both medically adept. He had to admit that he missed the latter of the two, seeing as how they had been close, closer than most friends would be. The lanky wolf shook his head as he approached Sundance, no cigarette dancing between his lips. He ached for it, but he figured since this would be a check up, it would be better to leave it than bring one with him. "Howdy, miss. Would ya mind checkin' up on my stump?" As he asked the question, he didn't bother sugarcoating his circumstance. It was what it was, after all. He couldn't change it, as much as he wanted to.
-
― Rosemont had been lost in his thoughts until Sundance's voice brought him back to reality, tugging him back to Earth and to the present. "Shit, sorry..!" The three-legged male exclaimed in a somewhat strained voice, feeling a bit foolish for simply standing there and staring off at nothing. He moved to lay down as she instructed, eyes flickering between Sun and Squirrel, whiskey eyes filling with some amusement. He had never seen the creature around before, but his brilliant color caused him to grin. His attention moved away from the male as he settled down against the floor, feeling rather uncomfortable with his stump exposed to everyone there. "Oh, and uh, no hip pain. Just m' shoulder mainly," Rosemont explained in his westernized accent, eyes flickering to Sundance as he answered her question. His attention soon averted to Squirrel, though, as the kitsune had stated he would be aiding him instead.

a little museless/motivationless atm so i may not post as much ;; apologies for this

― The beach was always a place he enjoyed, with the sea breeze and waves lapping at the shores. Every experience he had had on the beach was a pleasant one, and therefore, he had no ill memories or thoughts of it. So when he arrived, his new mechanical arm in tow, he couldn't help but grin widely as he would have before his incident. It felt good to have a working arm again, even if he couldn't feel anything. He supposed the rest of his body would make up for it, as the sea breeze was as lovely as it had always been. Rosemont padded down the steps leading to the beach and through the sand, already barefoot so that he could feel the sand between his toes. It was as soft as he had remembered. He felt odd feeling so.. positive and optimistic. He supposed it was only due to the fact that he was at the beach, and that brought him much joy.
When he spotted Narukami with Niko, his grin almost seemed to widen further, if that was even possible. "Hey, Narukami! I wasn't expectin' to see ya here," Rosemont called out to him, giving a wave of his mechanical arm to test it out more. The ocean air didn't seem to bother it, fortunately. The relationship between Narukami and himself wasn't technically one that would be considered a friendship, but he liked the male enough. He jogged forward a bit, holding onto his hat and the towel he had brought with him. "Howdy, Niko," he greeted the blonde girl in a pleasant manner, grin morphing into an amiable smile. He had witnessed the scene between her and the older male, both of them discussing seaweed. "Seaweed ain't that bad," Rosemont taunted Narukami, very obviously in a good mood.
-
― The last person he expected to sit near him had done just that, leaving him a bit shocked, though it didn't show upon his features. Instead, when he felt the presence of another, he glanced down at whoever it might have been. When he spotted Narukami, he lifted a nonexistent brow, making sure to keep his cigarette smoke in his maw so that he didn't blow any at the smaller male. He turned his head away to exhale the smoke, the wisps billowing away before dissipating into the air. It was a pretty sight to see, though he said nothing of it. The request caused him to turn his head back to Narukami, a curious look on his features. "A cigarette, ya mean?" Rosemont questioned for clarification, already reaching for the pack he kept somewhat hidden from sight. With a bit of difficulty, he managed to pull them out and toss them in Naru's direction, the pack landing at the other's paws. "Sorry 'bout that," the paladin apologized with a cheeky grin, though it was obvious that it was a bit forced.
There was a silence for a few moments, but because his curiosity was getting the better of him, he turned to face Narukami, a question already on his tongue. "So, uh, what brings ya on over here?" Rose inquired with a cock of his head, blowing smoke in the other direction of Narukami so that he didn't irritate him with the smoke.
