☆ ― His attention was momentarily shifted from the ducklings to Leifsdottir as she approached him, asking him if he needed any assistance. Hearing the 'sir' spout from her mouth made him give her a pointed look, but he did not address it as he had before. If she would continue with the formalities, then he supposed he would just give in to it. He gave a teasing scoff before shaking his head in her direction. "Nah, I don't need any help," Rosemont then informed as he shuffled away from the ducklings once more, attempting to get away from them but with no avail. He peered down at them with a sharp look in his narrowed gaze, but they merely chirped as if nothing was wrong. If he wanted he could technically eat them, given their size and how weak they were. He wouldn't, though, as he wasn't a monster who ate baby creatures. His head jerked up as another voice entered the fray, this time belonging to Narukami. Had he laughed? Rosemont cocked his head to the side as he stared at the other male, a grin coming to his lips. "It's great actually, thanks fer askin'," the lanky wolf retorted in a playful manner, not missing a beat. He gave a soft laugh in Naru's direction before flickering his gaze to Aurelio and Algernon, who approached next.
"I agree with ya, kid. I think we might be seein' them more if they keep followin' me around," Rosemont piped up in a rather pleasant voice, aiming to be a bit more amiable and optimistic for Aurelio. The loss of his mother must have taken a toll on the child, but Rosemont couldn't say he could relate to him. He only hoped Aurelio would be okay. He eventually turned his features to Algernon, whom he grinned at. "We're missin' a dad though," the paladin commander responded, giving a shake of his head before he sat back on his haunches. He looked to Narukami after he said this, grin still remaining on his lips.

☆ ― The Kinship Circle? Rosemont couldn't say he had heard of the group, though he only knew of a handful of their allies. He hadn't visited many of them, if any, so he was quite oblivious and ignorant to what happened outside of BlizzardClan. He supposed it was due to the fact that he had never been given the opportunity to step out and explore, though that was something he could easily do on his own if he wanted. The lanky wolf gave a shrug of his shoulders, wincing as his brand burned as he approached the scene. Blackroses was the femme's name, and she explained how she was now leader of the Kinship Circle. Many groups were overtaken, it seemed, though not all came to inform them of the changes. "Welcome to BlizzardClan, Blackroses. I'm Rosemont," he greeted and introduced rather swiftly, giving a bob of his head to match his buoyant tone. He gave the femme a small grin, and then opened his maw to continue. "I ain't much help, but if you need anythin', feel free to ask while we wait," the lanky wolf informed courteously, a pleasant tone to his voice.

☆ ― Newcomers were often a blessing, considering their clan had been rather slow as of late. Most individuals were high positions, and not regular members. It was a given that people would join, but would they stay? Often times, he believed the answer was no. Some disappeared after a few days, or were rarely seen. It was pleasant having some like Leifsdottir and Algernon, who had stayed and received their new titles. He wondered briefly if there were too many high positions. While he was alone in his own position, there were many paladins and paladin trainees. He recalled only seeing a few at the meeting he called, but he supposed others were busy doing other.. things.
When he spotted the foreigner on their border, his eyes narrowed slightly. His whiskey gaze observed the other male carefully, but he approached with a buoyant step, eventually trotting towards him. Occasionally, his right shoulder still bothered him, but for the most part, the brand was nearly healed. It was a brutal reminder of his past, but it was one that didn't affect him as much as he thought it would. Eventually, Rosemont drew to a halt, eyes still watching Eel. "Howdy. Who're you and what're you doin' here?" The paladin commander inquired with a cock of his head.

☆ ― Hearing of Sundance was a sorrowful moment for the male. While he hadn't been close to her, she hadn't deserved to die. Rosemont knew that death could take as he pleased, but some were often taken too soon. The lanky wolf approached the meeting rather slowly, soon taking a seat beside Kady, seeing as he knew her best out of those already gathered. His ducklings soon followed suit, chirping softly after he had sat down, perhaps wondering why they had stopped suddenly. He paid them no mind, however. He instead offered Kady a small grin, but said nothing in greeting. When Aleksei announced the news of his ducklings, Rosemont couldn't help but roll his eyes and snort. "Thanks," the paladin commander retorted in a taunting manner, tail thumping against the ground.

☆ ― Rosemont glanced back at those who had arrived momentarily after him, only sparing them a few moments before he turned his attention back to the foreigner at their border. Once he had stated his name and business with their clan, Rosemont relaxed his facial features into a grin. It was a way for the tension in the air to ease just a bit, as Leif's initial commentary was not the most friendly or welcoming. He peered at her, knowing fully well that she was aware of her duty as a paladin trainee. She knew better than to act as she was, but perhaps it was simply her personality shining through. That was not something Rosemont could not change. He couldn't force others to be like himself, an amiable, optimistic individual. Perhaps his personality got the better of himself at times, especially considering optimism could be bad in certain situations.
"Welcome to the clan, Eel. If ya have any questions, feel free to ask me, or any other high position," Rosemont chimed in, tone pleasant, unlike the robotic one Leifsdottir had utilized in her statement to Eel. The male stood relatively still, wondering if the others would speak out as well. It would only be polite of them, after all.

☆ ― Rosemont had been there when Narukami had transformed as well, twice before. The first time had been when he originally became the beast, when it was completely out of his control. The second time was when he had gotten his brand, and that transformation had been out of anger, and most likely concern. While Narukami didn't show that he cared for the wolf, Rosemont assumed that deep within him, he did hold some feelings for him, whether they be of friendship or not. Seeing the male in his beast-like state was frightening at times, but in circumstances like this, where he was simply collecting prey to eat, Rose had a difficult time being afraid. It seemed Kady felt the same way, though something seemed off about the sabertooth. The lanky wolf couldn't quite place what was odd about her, though, and merely brushed it off with a shrug of his shoulders.
The comment made by both creatures was what brought him forth, curiosity getting the better of him. Rosemont observed the amount of prey Narukami had taken down, and was somewhat impressed, but given his size he wasn't surprised. In his current state, he didn't think he could hunt properly. His prosthetic had been malfunctioning to an extent, and he was unable to make certain maneuvers necessary to battle or hunting. He was quite pitiful as a paladin commander. "You catch all this yerself?" Rosemont questioned with a grin, his query mainly rhetorical, though there to begin a conversation as well, as Kady had done.

☆ ― If Aleksei had given those promoted their promotions, then they were worthy of them. His name was called in a shout out as well, which caused him to grin. Upon hearing that Gabriel would step up alongside him, he turned to face the other male. Though first, he had to address those who had been promoted or given a shout out in the first place. "Congrats, y'all! You mind holdin' a meetin' for the new paladin trainees?" The lanky wolf inquired of the lion, head cocking to the side. Since there was nothing else for Aleksei to say, the male was simply left waiting for a response from Gabe. It came with the position, but it wasn't much of a burden to carry.
/ thank u!

☆ ― Rosemont was shocked to hear the news of Yuuri's passing. She had been a member of BlizzardClan not long ago, and hearing that she was now gone was a surprise. He hadn't been close to her, but he at least knew her, knew of what she had done for the clan. He wondered briefly if Aurelio was also saddened by this loss, given that Yuuri and Sundance had been a couple. The lanky wolf approached the scene rather slowly, his prosthetic limb giving him trouble. "Sorry to hear about that. Do ya know what happened..?" Rosemont asked cautiously, not wanting to cause any more sorrow that had already come about the kit. He heaved a soft sigh before dipping his head in a courteous manner. "Hope she's doin' alright wherever she is," the paladin commander murmured, ears flicking back against his skull.

☆ ― Rosemont knew of the younger male's sorrow, but he thought it best not to address it. He had dealt with loss, but not in a similar way. He had lost his parents at an even younger age, though not to death. They had simply left him behind to the Deadlock Gang. He glanced at his shoulder as he thought of the group, a grimace rising to his maw. It was forever a reminder of his past. He loathed it, but there was nothing he could do about it. "Howdy, Aurelio. Mind if I take one?" Rosemont inquired with a grin now written upon his lips, the grimace long gone. He found it relatively easy to feign optimism and positivity, which was odd, given that he was usually that way anyway. It seemed his personality had dimmed a bit, but from what he was unaware.
-
☆ ― Rosemont approached quietly, but gave Gabriel an encouraging grin. It was his first time bringing everyone forth, but he couldn't tell if the male was nervous or not. Regardless, it was always pleasant to receive something that gave reassurance, even if it was unnecessary. There were still quite a few people missing, so it seemed they would have to wait for their arrival before the meeting officially began. The paladin commander took a spot near Aurelio, seeing as how the child probably needed an adult figure in his life now. He gave him a smile before averting his attention back to Gabe, waiting rather impatiently.

☆ ― Considering he was one of the judges, and couldn't participate in the festivities, he felt quite bored. Having a cook off was a brilliant idea, especially for the end of the summer. Rosemont only wished he could partake in the event instead of remain seated, watching as NPCs scrambled about attempting to construct the dishes. It was amusing to watch them do so, but he felt himself growing somewhat impatient, as well as hungry. He shifted in his seat as his whiskey eyes drank in the scenery, the smells of the food wafting through the air. It eventually reached where he was perched, and he fought the urge to lick at his lips. It was arduous, but he managed to keep himself contained. After all, there would be plenty of food when the contest ended.

☆ ― His task had been simple enough, though he assumed there would be some difficulties with it, given the state of his prosthetic leg. It was still bothering him, though not to the extent where it would need to be removed. The collar he wore had stopped blinking long ago, but considering it had been around his neck for so long, he didn't attempt to take it off. It had become a sort of staple to his appearance. No longer did it bother him, or irritate his neck. He was grateful for that, even if it meant he had merely gotten accustomed to it. What he hadn't gotten used to was the aching pain that shot through his left limb every time he took a step. It was pitiful. Rosemont tried not to let it show, as he didn't want anyone to worry. There weren't any medics anymore either, so he couldn't ask for their help. Sundance.. Her loss was great in their clan.
The male shook his head of those thoughts as he hobbled towards the exit of camp, eyes focused on the outside rather than camp itself. Eventually he tore his whiskey gaze from the horizon to focus once more on the NPCs walking and talking about camp, a grin rising on his lips. "Hey, if any of y'all wanna go explorin', come along with me," Rosemont barked in a pleasant manner, attempting to hide the pain that was nearly evident on his features. The brand no longer hurt him, though it was itchy. He knew better than to scratch it, so he merely let it sit and rest. It was an ugly brand, but it wasn't something he could get rid of.

☆ ― Fortunately for Narukami, nothing had gone wrong. Rosemont had been on a patrol with a few NPCs while the other male had set his present out in front of Rose's den, leaving him unaware until he finally arrived at the entrance. His eyes immediately sank down to the object, his whiskey eyes observing it closely. A note sat alongside it, reading a simple message from someone he didn't know. "Sora..?" He echoed aloud, nonexistent brows furrowing in confusion. Once he read the note a few times over, he averted his attention to the flask. It was beautiful; the mixture of silver and gold wasn't gaudy as some might have thought it to be. There were also roses engraved onto the silver, causing him to release a quiet snort. How fitting, he thought to himself as he stooped down to examine the object more closely. It didn't appear to be dangerous, nor did it smell that way. The note hadn't implied any ill intent towards him, so his thoughts concluded that this was given by a secret admirer. Rosemont remained as puzzled as ever, however, as the name Sora stuck out to him.
He turned away from the flask for a moment, and spotted Narukami wandering about camp. "Hey, Naru! Look at what I got," Rosemont called out to his friend, a grin making its way to his lips. He stepped to the side so that the flask would be revealed to the feline. He was, of course, unaware that the gift had come from Narukami, but the admirer would eventually step forth. So he hoped.

☆ ― On one of his travels down to the surface of Agrelos, he had met with a native. She had presented him with gifts with no apparent reason behind doing so. Rosemont accepted the gifts willingly and without any hesitation, seeing as how he didn't really care at this point. Upon looking inside of the bag, he noticed some jewels. They glittered slightly when the sun shone into the small bag, which in turn made his own eyes glimmer in elation. He eventually returned to the island, satchel dangling carefully in his jaws. He didn't want to lose his newfound gifts, nor did he want them to go to waste. He wasn't entirely sure what they were yet, but he had an idea. From glancing at them, he not only noticed jewels, but metal as well. Perhaps they were kinds of jewelry. Rosemont was never the type for fancy adornments, but he was still ecstatic to be given something for free when it was obviously worth something. It didn't necessarily compare to the gift he had been given not too long ago, but he still appreciated the gesture.
Once he finally arrived at the island, he hopped off of the boat and onto the grounds of their domain. The lanky wolf meandered through the territory so he could get back to camp in a leisurely manner, taking his time. He didn't exactly have a place to be despite his position. He supposed he did well enough, given the fact that Aleksei had been the one to promote him in the first place. Rosemont gave a shrug of his shoulders as he sat himself outside of his den, now wanting to inspect the jewels more closely.
He dumped the contents to the ground, and his eyes narrowed upon the pieces of jewelry he had expected to see. Most were earrings, but there were a few bracelets and necklaces in the batch. Rosemont supposed he didn't need them all, so he lifted his head to call out to those nearby. "Does anyone want some fancy jewelry?" The paladin commander questioned aloud, his accent thick in his voice despite being surrounded by those who had no such thing. It had yet to fade away.

☆ ― There had been many more people than he expected to gather around him, but the first who had appeared was not a shock to him. It seemed he was chipping through the tough exterior that Narukami put on, and it was only a matter of time before he broke through. He grinned at the male, though it faltered a bit upon noticing the feline act suspiciously. Rosemont supposed it was only natural, especially since the bag had come from a native of Agrelos, and it was odd that she had given him so much. Why she had given him the jewels was a mystery to him, but he didn't question it. She was simply being friendly, and he was much too gullible and optimistic to do anything about it. "I went to the surface and a nice lady gave 'em to me. Pretty damn sweet, right?" Rosemont informed him with a soft chuckle, sifting through the jewelry with his paw. When Algernon approached he gave a dip of his head in acknowledgement, finding the suggestion to be a good one unlike Valaerya who thought otherwise.
When the femme did approach, he gave a rather awkward grin, simply nodding to her request. She wasn't being rude, though she did seem upfront and almost snobby in a way. Her smile didn't seem all too real either, but Rosemont assumed he was reading things inaccurately. "How 'bout this blue one?" The lanky wolf inquired, pushing forward a necklace with a pretty, pale blue gem. He wasn't sure if it clashed, but he hoped it didn't.
"Some native was kind enough to give me all of this," Rosemont informed Aurelio, seeing as how he hadn't been there to hear the first explanation. It had been sudden, but the gift was welcome nonetheless. He looked to Leifsdottir briefly, merely giving a nod in acknowledgement to her comment before he shifted his attention to Adellum, who also requested some jewelry. "This one, maybe?" The paladin commander suggested with a questioning tone in his voice, nudging a bracelet with pink jewels forward. He glanced at Octane, but said nothing to him, since the male hadn't said anything anyway.
Rosemont peered at the collection of jewelry before deciding for some that he would wear. There were earrings with black jewels which appeared almost matte. "Can someone help me with these?" The lanky wolf questioned aloud as he motioned to the earrings. It would probably sting at first, but he assumed he would look good afterwards.
-
☆ ― Seeing that a few had gathered to his call was enough to tell him it was alright to go ahead with the exploration party. It would be an enjoyable way to see the territory, even if many already knew it well. With a grin, the lanky wolf turned to face those that had flocked to him, feeling rather merry in the moment. Seeing as he had no plan of where to go, he craned his neck to look to Algernon, who had suggested something. He was grateful, though the feeling did not appear on his features. "That sounds mighty fine to me!" Rosemont chirped in response, soon pivoting on his hind paws to face the exit once more. "Let's head on out," he then said, giving a bob of his head as he stepped forward towards the island that Algernon had suggested. Despite the pain in his left limb, he carried his head high and remained alert.
