.: General :.
Maizeykit | Maizeypaw | Maizey??
Female
Five moons
WindClan
.: Appearance :.
- Red mackerel tabby, touched with white on her paws, chest, and the tip of her tail. Slightly toned with muscle, but details of this are mostly lost to her lanky physique.
- Her tail will appear slightly over average length when she's an adult. Eyes are a serene shade of brown.
.: Personality :.
- Maizeykit is a naïve, but sweet natured kid. Like most kits, she's spritely and packed with energy. It's hard to keep her in one spot for too long, as she's constantly on the lookout for something to explore or play with. Maizeykit can be highly competitive and spirited about almost anything she puts her mind to. For this, she has to be careful about what she focuses on growing up. She is a sponge when it comes to learning, especially when observing apprentices, warriors, and other cats older than her.
- More on the extroverted side. Quick to make friends whether they're of the same clan or not.
.: Relationships :.
- Mentor: N/A
- Best Friend: N/A
- Friends: Kestrelpaw, Eaglepaw, Dovepaw, Sparrowpaw, Honeypaw, JasperStar, Frostkit, Skykit.
- Enemies: N/A
.: History :.
- First memory was playing with a bug outside the nursery and then attempting to eat it, only to find that they taste horrible!
- Another fond one was when she started a game of moss ball with several members of her Clan.

Hello everybody! Hope the weekend is treating you well.
So, this kiddo is new to WindClan and I am hoping to see her make some friends + maybe get into some trouble x3 I'm open to ideas and willing to throw my own out there if this does get any interest.
You dont have to be in the same clan. If you want to, just feel free to drop some future or current plot/thread ideas. Thanks in advance :)
-
Sure, I'd love that! Sounds like he'd make a good role model for Maizey x3
I recently made an intro thread for her here. So, if you want they could meet then, or we could arrange something else. It's up to you!

Maizeykit shivered at the less than tepid earth under her paws. It was quite chilly outside this morning, evidence of the nearing cold season. But despite this, the kitten's ginger frame continued to ooze out of the nursery. Anything beat being cooped up inside there any longer... she needed to break this den fever!
It didn't take the kit long to find a thing or two to catch her interest and forget about the cold. Aha, a suspiciously crispy leaf! After batting it around for a few moments, the red mackerel stumbled upon a bug and trapped it in her paws. "Oooh! I caught my first prey!" She announced to nobody in particular, puffing her chest with pride as she felt the feeble insect squirm under her pads. Maizey stepped off the bug and crouched down to look at it. The poor thing was sprawlng at the air like a turtle that had been flipped over. Now, what are we supposed to do with prey again? Oh yeah!
Without a second thought, Maizeykit popped the bug inside her mouth. All pleasantry from the situation turned sour in an instant. Maizey hacked and spat the bug out of her mouth like she had suddenly come down with a case of whitecough, before wailing at the awful taste. "Eeah! Dung!!" Only a heartbeat later did embarrassment settle on the kit as she felt eyes turn on her.
-
So it's obvious, Maizey was a few whiskers short of a mouse sometimes, but hey- that's something the kit was probably going to grow out of. For now, though, she still felt pretty silly, having just learned a lesson from the experience. Just then, the kitten heard meows and cupped her ears, following the sound to their origins. Oh, purrfect. Kestrelpaw and Dovepaw had seen it all go down... And let her go right through with it.
"No, it tasted awful!" She growled over the slobbery, and now deceased, insect. Was Kestrelpaw trying to call her a baby? In response, she make a point to try and lessen her squeaky meow. "I'm old enough. I just wanted to catch my own..." Maizey then looked over at Dovepaw. The tom was right. She hoped they kept the freshkill pile insect-free forever. "Hey... Why'd non'a'ya warn me?"

i'll have him jump into that thread then and we can make another thread in a few days, maybe?

Thanks for jumping into that thread and sure thing! Let me know if you still feel up to it in a few days :)
I have this little disabled feline in shadowclan, he's my darling and I would happily do a plot with you. Since shadowclan and windclan are neturals, maybe have them become friends?
Nawh, he sounds precious. Thank you for offering! I would love to explore a relationship between two. Do you have an idea of how or when you would prefer them to meet? I believe Maizeykit can be quite the wanderer when left unattended, so its a possibility for her to get near their territory if you wanted.
-
Hehe alrighty, that adds even better plot material for the future. I'm interested to see what develops (most likely trouble, between the two of them). I can have Maizey go 'exploring' or perhaps attempt to do a patrol all on her own, which winds her up a bit lost, if you want me to make the thread. I am totally fine if you have a different idea or would like to make the thread instead too!
-
Sounds good. If you want me to make the thread, should I post in ShadowClan or WindClan's forum?

"Gee, thanks." The kitten glowered at Kestrelpaw's teasing, but couldn't help but lighten up in the face and let a tiny purr escape -- not just to laugh with him, but also at an idea that had just popped into her mischevious little mind. Heheh, maybe one of these nights some bugs would 'just so happen' to find their way into his best. Now that would be funny. Horrible, but mostly funny.
Luckily a third voice distracted Maizey just in time to forget about the evil plan and wipe the suspiciously amused look off of her face. Eaglepaw! Unfortunately, her hopes of finding someone to show a little sympathy were dashed yet again when she noticed the apprentice trying oh-so subtly to hold his laughter in. "I do now, no thanks to any cat." She proclaimed, ready to move on from the embarassing event. "How 'bout we have a prey party? I need to get this taste out of my tongue somehow."

Alrighty, I'll make the thread there and @ you to it!

~BrokenKit~
IC
The dew kissed grass shivered ever so slightly as Maizeykit's small frame trudged through.
Making her way into ShadowClan territory, the kit paused and took an aggressive taste of the air. Her bark brown eyes were alert and trained on the tree line with wonderment and determination.
One thing Maizeykit liked to think was that she was a little bit ahead of her time. She wanted to take some responsibilities into her own paws, albeit incapable of carrying it. She didn't understand that yet. Hence, with adrenaline pumping through her, she took herself on an unguided, 'solo patrol' of WindClan's territory. The red tabby's latest and greatest plan was going great, apart from the unexpectedly long walk. However, the farther she padded, the more it occurred to her that she didn't actually know what made her Clan's border.
Of course, the kit was unwilling to believe she was going lost. A good future warrior must know the way around! I'll figure it out, she reckoned. She was tactful enough to wander out of WindClan's camp undetected, so the rest had to be a cinch. Paw after paw, she continued. It seemed every little thing was a teaser, trying to catch her attention. Maizey rubbed her cheek on a leaf with a funny smell. She then turned her nose up at a cluster of beetles that she noticed on the side of a tree. She had learned from experience that those were not prey and did not taste good. Speaking of which, Maizey paused as something moved through the leaves ahead of her. She pressed her belly to the ground and anchored her eyes and ears on it.
She could not pull in it's scent, but she could tell right away that this was prey. The real kind. Although it was meant to be food, it also looked fun to play with. Maizey purred watching a thick tail twitch over the creature's back. Maizey's former agenda was instantly lost to the wind as she rocked her shoulders and prepared to pounce. I bet I can catch this...
Maizey let out a spirited but unnecessary battle cry as she sprang forward. The squirrel simultaneously scrambled for traction and took off in the opposite direction, shooting up the trunk of the nearest tree. Maizey followed him right to it, instinctively hooking her claws on the bark to propel herself up. Her heart skipped as she missed the next paw going up. Gravity took over and Maizeykit tumbled head over hocks backwards, yowling, before she landed in a pile of dead leaves -- Safe and unharmed, but also deeply disappointed. After a moment of recovering, her muscles wearily allowed her to crane her head up. Maizey flicked her head to knock off a leaf that was stuck to her ear. Boy, that was a great success. She stood up and started looking to retrace her steps, only to mutter under her breath in defeat. "aaand now I think I'm lost."

"Oh, can I try a rabbit too?" Maizey skipped eagerly over to the freshkill pile, following suit with the apprentices. The kitten's pallet hadn't tested the prey in question before, but it was what all the paws wanted, so that meant she should too. She just hoped to StarClan that this wouldn't wind up being another disgusting mistake. She didn't know how much more her stomach could take of that sick tasting stuff. "I mean... if it tastes good." She mewed with a sliding tone of suspicion, exchanging a glance with each tom.

Hey!
If you're ever interested, my gal Maizey may be a little limited as a kit when it comes to plots,
but she's open for friendships, squabbles, and maybe other small things too. Just thought I'd stick that out there. :3

A soft gaze swept around, only to stop when the movement of another living being was caught. Maizey found herself staring owlishly into the face of the stranger. He looked like a kit as well, but one with fur and a scent she did not recognize. Maizey slowly raised her tail, about to follow the move with a hiss, but held back at the stoniness of the other kit. Hesitance shown from her own silence, although she was anything but quiet inside. Nerves had her heart beating like a drum. She wasn't expecting to meet someone on her 'patrol.' So, what do I do now? Well, attacking was not on the list of options. She didn't want to do that anyway.
I know! ...I- I think? I should find out who he is and what he's doing here first... She thought, breaking the tense atmosphere with a blink and then a greeting. "Hi," The meow came out timid, yet friendly. Maizey, who had some reason to believe she was still in WindClan's territory (that reason being not knowing), wondered what this kit was doing here. Was he a loner of some sort? She didn't know that it was her in actuality who had stepped over boundaries. "Who are you...?"

Hello! I have a kit in WindClan who would probably get along best with Whirlkit. If you're ever interested in getting them to meet and be friends, let me know. Of course, as she's currently a kit, it would seem difficult for them to meet so we could always wait until both are apprentices. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there :)
Ps. If you made all that art, just wanted to say I admire the style a lot! It's beautiful.
-
You're welcome!
I'm pretty flexible, so I'll leave it up to you. I can sneak her over if you want them to be childhood friends, shes already got a history of it xD (went to ShadowClan once) otherwise, I'll happily wait till one or both are older!
-
Alrighty, I'd say we should do it then. Sounds like they'll have some amusing interaction haha
Would you like me to make a thread or would you prefer to?
-
Of course. Been having computer problems today, but it shouldn't be too difficult or take much longer on mobile. I'll @ you to it when it's done!

Maizeykit was sold; rabbit seemed good enough prey to try.
The kit's eyes stirred brighter with excitement the more she heard of the apprentice's approval for the meat. She also knew what bird she wanted to try next time she came to the freshkill pile. "Good enough for me, then!" Maizey paused, considering taking a piece off of the fat rabbit that Eaglepaw had, but would he let her? Maybe he had picked the biggest hunk of prey because he was that hungry. Although she tried to be bold, sometimes Maizey felt a little too shy to ask or do certain things. Unbelievable, right?
Maizeykit turned to the freshkill pile and sized up the options. Like Kestrelpaw had said before, she'd look more grown up if she got her own food from the pile. Deep brown optics narrowed on a target, perfectly head-level with Maizey. She walked forward and sank her teeth into a rabbit that was more her size. Her spine arched and limbs locked as she vigorously tried to tug it out. "Hh- hh- hh-!" As the rabbit inched out from under the pile, Maizey felt grateful that the others were too distracted talking in the background.
