Well this newcomer had plenty to learn. "The mask isn't chosen. Rather, the mask is the chooser." They wrote, "Quite fascinating, I'd say so myself. Wouldn't you agree?" The selection would be interesting, nonetheless. It always was. She had an excitable aura around her, curious and full of questions. It was no doubt that the spirit who resides in her mask would've been similar in nature.

Nice!
I'm gonna post a meeting someday in the week since I still need to get the masquerade thread and invites up. Does anyone want to help send invites? I'm planning to invite everyone because it could get their name out there for politics
Oof m'kay, thanks for letting me know!
"Understandable." Nocturne nodded. Then they wondered. Nocturne was born feral, yes, but they were born with the gift to learn too. Could these hyenas have the gift too? Maybe they were clever enough to understand the feral voice of ravens. They hoped to find out someday. It would certainly be intriguing.

The raven arrived almost as soon as their voice was called. "Hello, Harley." Nocturne dipped his head as he wrote, "Go on." They were curious for the information she had to share.

Well, Nocturne had sensed that the place seemed a bit dull. It could do with some color. It was a pleasant surprise to find a few canvases, paints, and a palettes. They weren't sure what they wanted to create. The raven used telepathy to lift the objects. They had a few other sets set up just in case any other Districter wanted to try a hand at painting.

The raven greeted her with a simple note, "Welcome to The District. How may I help you?" The newcomer was certainly District material, with a splotched bag and an artistic aura about her. Even if she was only here for a night's stay, Nocturne was sure she would be welcome.

Nocturne hadn't been to The Frontier in ages. It was a pleasure to see the familiar feline. "Thank you for the invitation, Blazestar." They nodded. They loved stargazing. It was like seeing the pure view of the heavens, spotted across the sky. The raven hadn't visited The Frontier themselves in quite a while. It would be nice to visit, after all. If The District got nice, up and running, they would even contemplate rejoining.

They nodded. A shame, to say the least. They had allied over a war situation after all. Now The District only had The Frontier to hold onto. "Understood." Nocturne nodded, "No grudge against them. Did they say anything else?"

It was odd how Nocturne was able to understand the gesture. They gave a nod, and invited Harley to join the session at a canvas. "Ever painted before?" They asked, to break the silence.

"I'll make a note of that." Nocturne agreed. "I trust your judgement with this political business. Could you run a list of groups we should and shouldn't ally with?" It was a lot of work, but Nocturne hoped that it would help with getting allies. They couldn't have allies that were enemies with one another though. They didn't want The District pulled into any wars where they had to choose a side.

"Understood." The raven handed her a brush nonetheless, "Let your heart guide you. Art doesn't have a defined form. It's all in your soul." They instructed. The District hadn't done much art in the time that Nocturne had been leading them, so their standards weren't too high.

The raven nodded, a happy gleam in their eyes. "We're happy to have you join us." They wrote, "My name is Nocturne, and I run things around here." It was a quick introduction, but since they had so few numbers, it wouldn't be hard to know all the faces.

"Of course." They nodded, "You know where to find me when you're done." Nocturne could see how diligent the serval would be in her task. It was a good decision to trust her in this field.

The raven had been hunting on his own, as always. Spring had given the forest a bit of color in the form of budding flowers and berries. They weren't ripe enough yet, so they had to search for meat. Life was fairly good as an omnivore. And then Nocturne saw Harley with her hyenas take down a deer. They were shocked at how well they had worked together to take it down. "Nice catch." They commented by dropping a note down. just before landing on a nearby branch.

"You're always welcome" Nocturne nodded, gesturing to the open canvases. It was nice that Harley was enjoying the art, and Verona had decided to join in. The raven turned to their own canvas and began painting. A stroke of a blue-gray shade could start them off, perhaps?

Curiousity filled the raven as they bounded next to Verona. They dipped a nod in greetings to the direwolf, since Verona had already asked them the question that all who crossed the border were asked.

Nocturne was curious for her opinions. After he would hear her suggestions, he would then visit each of those groups to ask them for a possible alliance.

The raven arrived later. There was quite some nostalgia around The Frontier, but not enough at the same time. The stars were certainly stunning though, and they wanted to pick out each one. As Blazestar called for their attention, they would turn to her. They didn't speak much anyways. Not much meaning not at all. Nocturne would introduce themselves to all the others once her lesson was over.
