    Nora Abernathy

I STILL CAN'T SMILE THE WAY YOU DO

Nora dumped the pieces of clothing on the floor. "You guys can take turns showering in a bit, and can change into those later. Bathroom's to the right in the hall." She said, avoiding the various Pokemon and people scattered across the floor of her tiny townhouse. God, she wanted nothing more than to crash on her bed and forget about today, but she had an inkling she couldn't have that. Hopefully they didn't mind smelling like flowers for a bit. It wasn't as though she was prepared for guests.

A gracious host would normally offer snacks, but Nora did not have enough for twenty people. Her eyes caught sight of a few of them gathered around the lone photo, a hint of understanding dawning on her. They weren't Kalosian, so they probably didn't realize what it was. Showcases weren't as popular as contests, so it was mostly something Kalosians seemed to enjoy.

"Awww, Nora, you're so cute! Are these all your Pokemon?"

"They were. They're not with me any longer." All of them had suffered enough damage that they could never participate in the showcase again, or even have a normal life, for that matter. Her Delphox had been the worst off, never getting to see the light of day again.

It seemed that with the issue of clothes solved, for the most part, that a wave of exhaustion fell upon her, grabbing the Pokeball for her Meowstic, returning the blue feline back in it's ball, before slumping down on the ground beside Eros and Erika. The Ho-Oh Knight and the Zekrom Knight.

She wanted nothing more than to sleep right now, but instead focused on changing her hoodie, which had suffered the most damage, grabbing a light blue one from the pile and slipping it over the shirt she was wearing, her head slumping a bit to the side, brushing up against somebody's leg or the wall before she realized what was doing and straightened herself, leaning her head backwards instead, the cold edge of the windowsill biting into her neck. At this point, she didn't even care how she looked. Nora was simply too tired to care about keeping up appearances for the moment.

"We probably should... make a plan." She said, wanting nothing more than to get this over with. Honestly, she had no clue what Arceus had sent them here for, but for the time being, she didn't want them lazing around doing nothing.

Personally, her motivation for this was figuring out what it was so she could get them out. "He sent us here for a reason, right? So, something's wrong with Lumoise." She was about to continue, but she caught sight out of the corner of her eye a Herdier drawing dangerously close to the framed photo. "Don't let him touch that." Her words were a bit harsh, considering how precious the photo was to her. However, she seemed to realized that she had snapped, carefully smoothing her words over. "Please don't. In fact, it's a bit crowded, so put any Pokemon that you can away. Something's going to break at this rate, and I have a feeling you guys don't have cash on you to replace it." The unspoken threat was hidden in her words. If you break something, you're paying for it. The stinginess from her time as a poor trainer still clung to her, it seemed.

    introduction

These children would have been raised in a group native to Agrelos; with the arrival of the groups from Earth, and with much of the world having been reduced to rubble with their arrival, groups began to fight for what little land was left, what had begun as a fight for survival turning into a conquest for power in the case of their home. With few capable soldiers and more mouths to feed than they could handle, the group that these children lived in began to offer a choice to parents of young children: starve; or allow a child to fight in order for them to receive food and protection.

Their parents would have sent them off at very young ages, and would be raised in a very strict environment, with harsh training. The child soldiers would've been raised to have very few morals, and considered each other close comrades, as well as relying on their superiors heavily, needing a figure of authority in their lives. The children would have been only a small percentage of the ones that had originally been enlisted; the rest of their comrades likely fell in battle.

It all fell apart, though, with the fall of their group, leaving these children abandoned and at a loss for what to do. Thus, they scattered, searching for the figures of authority that they had grown to become dependent on, to be tools used by others since they had no idea what else to do. The children would've each gone to different groups, blissfully unaware about their other surviving comrades, and that the people they once fought beside and trusted would turn against each other sooner or later, with the constantly shifting alliances of these Agrelos groups.

    summary

I currently play Adara in the Veil, and had been curious to see if anybody else might want to adopt out these plot characters that would have had a similar background, and known and trusted each other. Adara had been one of the child soldiers, and these children would have also been deemed to have potential, or simply lucky that they were not cut down early on, and had at least part or all of their personality molded by their experiences. Basically I just wanted to divide up these weapons of mass destruction amongst Agrelos and watch the chaos unfold.

    plot

Now that they've scattered amongst Agrelos, in different groups with different views and allegiances, they're now caught up in the politics of the Agrelos groups, at first unaware that the other children they have grown up with have also found homes, and some have pledged allegiance to enemies. These children will have to go through a lot as time goes on, having their bonds broken as groups wage war against each other, meeting the ones they had once trusted to watch their back as enemies on the field of battle, and having to mend those broken relationships and shattered trust as the groups forgive and forget, even if they can't, as the constantly-shifting allegiances cause these kids, who once had some semblance of stability even with the hellish lives they led, to face the fact that they may never have that trust in their former comrades that they had grown up beside again. It's honestly such an interesting and unique dynamic that I would love to see.

    characters

There's no limit to how many characters there are, considering it's likely to constantly be changing. Multiple ones can go to a single clan, though I may 'cut off' a clan if there's twenty kids there and five everywhere else. Here's a list to keep track of them and their allegiances:

    Adara, Shadow Veil

    Arson, Shadow Veil

    Caitlyn, Painted Brigade

    Corinne, Painted Brigade

    Leonidas, Solaris Kingdom

    Luca, Wind Haven

    Sierra, Wind Haven

    information

-They would have had a strict and harsh upbringing, separated from their parents at an early age, and would have been reliant on themselves and their comrades for survival. Part of or all of their personality should have been molded by their experiences.

-They likely would remain very loyal to the groups that they pledge their allegiances to, mostly because that has been engraved in their very being.

-The age range would be 7-16 months old as a starting age.

-They are free to have any bodies that they wish, as well as powers. I strongly encourage you to be creative!

-They likely would have had some form of training, even if they are young.

-Names would likely be rogue/humanlike names, since the traditional names were likely only introduced by earth natives

-As for groups, they can go to any group, but for plot reasons, and to start off with the breaking of those bonds, with the tension stirring between Shadow Veil, Hyperia, and the Painted Brigade, I'd strongly encourage you to place your character there, or somewhere where they might meet their former comrades either as allies, foes, or both.

I've been watching Demon Slayer, and honestly, I am in love with the concept of bringing Nezuko and Tanjiro, or at least their equivalents, to Agrelos because why not. I just really want to use the concept with some tweaks. Like I said, I'd be down for making some changes or making it as similar to them as possible. I want that wholesome bond that they have to grace Agrelos.

I would strongly prefer to take the Nezuko equivalent, mostly for the challenge of playing somebody who might not be able to venture out in sunlight (honestly that might have to go or I might have to find a way around that), and the other difficulties she faces, and if anybody would be up for the Tanjiro equivalent, I'd be down to hear what you had in mind for them, how closely you want to keep the backstories, powers, personality traits, all that to the original. Personally, I'd strongly prefer them to be as close to their canon versions with a few changes to fit Agrelos. Depending on how much interest there is, this may or may not be first come first serve.

I was thinking either they ended up in one of the Sundran Jungle territories (Thunderlands/Volary Flights), West Whispering Pines (Shadow Veil I'm a bit iffy on mostly because I have a character there, Blackheart Rogues), the Sanctuary, though I'd be up to hear your ideas! I was thinking domestic cats mostly because I think it'd fit them pretty well? Like I said, I'm pretty flexible so yeah.

    slides in here

i'd love to play a child soldier as you know ;0

and i'd put her in the painted brigade for some Juicy Conflict ! (also bc i have characters in sv and hi already lmao)

as for the actual child soldier/army thing: maybe with the arrival of all the earth clans after the shift, a lot of people were displaced and different groups were fighting over particularly rich/bountiful land that was untouched by the newcomers. a particular group (the army the kids are with) recruited a lot of child soldiers and since they're very capable they were able to provide the families with compensation such as protection and food? maybe at one point they even gained complete control over the land and ruled it with an iron fist, forcing the child soldiers to harm/execute innocents??? which is,, mostly what u said but,, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ur idea seems very sound to me?

I love that idea? I was looking for good reasoning for them to resort to such measures and that should fit perfectly with the timeline/kiddos ages when they would've started with selecting the oldest ones.

I can't wait to see your ideas for the baby ahhh

I can already imagine these kids: We need to go incognito puts on sunglasses

also them: just sparkling with that 'elite rich kids' aura

God if only Arceus wasn't an oversized llama
he tries to meet up with them and Nora just throttles him
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING? THAT HOUSE WAS LIKE MY BABY! WOULD YOU THROW A PERSON, NO, THREE PEOPLE AT SOMEBODY'S ELSE'S BABY?"

Just having the expression my pfp has now as she watches the genesect knight crash through the window
They're just watching her finally loses it

I STILL CAN'T SMILE THE WAY YOU DO

Rosalba's question was one she hadn't answered in a long time. Psychic burnout, crippled wings, loss of powers, and death. How was she supposed to say that, exactly? And how it had been her fault? There simply wasn't a way to. "Three of them are in early retirement right now. The Delphox died, though." Her voice was a bit hollow, but she hoped that sufficed as an explanation. As much as it was a touchy subject to her, the picture still hung there, the fact that she'd likely never be able to see them again, let alone happy, preventing her from tearing it up, burning it, whatever would make her feel better, even for a brief moment.

It was a reminder of her mistakes.

"Plan. Right now, showering and sleeping sounds really good to me." She murmured to Vienna's words, a bit less tense now that the subject changed as Eros chimed in, asking about the city itself. It seemed that a majority of them really weren't native, with the exception of Kaison and a few others. Her tone seemed much less strained when she spoke to the two, much more grateful that they were willing to move on. She just wanted a shower, and to sleep.

"The city's... busy. That's the best way to put it. It's one of the few places where you'll see a bunch of taxis and cars besides Unova." She started, trying to figure out the best way to word it. It was a vibrant, bustling place, where even somebody as esteemed as the Champion could easily blend in. The people, though, they weren't all that friendly, more indifferent than anything. Really, it was more likely that the tourists or ones who were traveling through would lend you a hand than the locals.

Still, she thrived in such an environment, strangely enough.

    "EVERYONE, LOOK OUT!"

It seemed her shower and sleep would have to be put off.

Rosalba's call sounded just in time for corner of her eye to catch sight of the object hurtling towards the window, really, the only window to the living room, and one they were right under, and Nora would attempt to slam Erika and Eros' heads downward, before trying to cover her own. The sharp stinging sensation as something sliced her cheek could be felt as glass shattered, falling onto the windowsill and ground, and luckily for her, she hadn't been embedded with the shards from the impact. A slender hand would raise up and touch her cheek, pulling it away to reveal blood. A shallow enough wound, but it'd probably scar if she left it like that.

However, she was more concerned with the fact that Arceus seemed to believe her house was a fucking target that he could just toss Knights at. Reimbursement was out of the question at this point. She wanted the blood of a certain oversized llama of a god now.

Wincing as she got up, upon having realized more shards had sliced open shallow cuts on her arms, with no thick hoodie to protect them now. While none were embedded, she could still feel a bit of rage building up. It was ridiculous, how Arceus thought it was fine to throw in last minute additions, and quite literally. At her house. "I swear to Arceus, I don't care what happens, that damn god is paying for this with his blood!" The Zygarde Knight ground out, having quite finally lost it. She'd move to the side of the room mostly devoid of glass, where a stranger was laying on the floor, having hit the wall.

With the Raikou Knight having knelt down already, asking if the stranger was okay, Nora did her best to keep her composure, but with exhaustion and anger creating an unhealthy mixture, her frustration showed in her tone. "I'll get the first aid kit." She had her own injuries, as well as anybody else who may have been affected by the shattered glass.
