yaaaay
i should work on her joining thread then
How long had it been since that fire had devoured her entire life? Instead of being raised in the lap of luxury, Andromeda had been carted off by a servant to live as such. It was pathetic and she had hated every minute of it. At first she did not know of her heritage and her attitude against being at the beck and call of others seemed unfounded. Until one day, after she'd spit in the eye of the wealthy man who had tried to take her services to another level, the servant woman who raised her had raised her had gone into a rage. She accused Andromeda of being just like her mother. With some forceful pushing, she'd quickly found out just who her mother was. Jaelynn Mallister, Lady of the Seaguard. And so the onyx wolf had left in search of the Westeros, and in search of the life she always knew she deserved.
The girl noted the border, and swiftly dismissed it as she continued on towards the keep. She was far to impatient to wait any longer, and figured her blood must afford her some lenience. "Helloo?" she called out in a silky purr, still walking forward. Blush gold optics scanning the territory before her, the golden hoops she had pierced all the way up her right ear glinting in the rays of sunshine that poured over her. She scuffed, the sound one of pure annoyance. Why had she not come across anyone yet?
Andy frowned at the question put forth by Ara, momentarily forgetting that no one knew who she was. She had changed a lot since the devastating fire had wrecked her life and she had to force herself to calm the anger that had begun to boil. Instead, she forced a neutral smile to curve the edges of her lips. "My name is Andromeda." she spoke just as the icy wolf arrived, her own golden eyes noting some familiarity in the lupine, though she couldn't be certain of much in this place. "Andromeda Mallister. I believe you might know my mother?" she knew how dramatic her introduction was, and had carefully chosen for it to be as such. She had a flair for this kind of thing.
Andy swung her head sharply towards the ice colored wolf, her brows drawing together as she frowned. Is this some kind of joke? her voice was edged with anger, and Andromeda felt her own anger rise to meet the challenge. Who was this wolf to question her honesty? To assume she wasn't who she said she was. She took a menacing step forward, intending to give her a piece of her mind, when she rushed forward to smother Andy in a breathtaking hug. It was then that she truly smelled Jaelynn, beneath she scent she carried proudly as a westeros lady. It was the smell she had longed for all of her life, and now it surrounded her like a safety blanket.
"Mom?" her voice wavered, unable to truly come to terms with being reunited with her mother. Of course, it was what she wanted and the whole reason she was here. Before she thought it was simply a young girls fantasy, but it was now reality for Andy and she couldn't stop the tremble that wracked down her spine. She felt her own tears well up before falling, the heat of them sizzling as they met the icy ones of Jaelynn. It all felt too good to be true, having been through so much heartache in her short life, that she was hesitant to believe it all.
im thinking of trying my hand at role-playing 1st person w andromeda
(as inspired by a poll in the help den the other day)
whatcha think?
Andy padded up to stand beside her mother, hoping the stern woman wouldn't take her daughter's absence to heart. It was kind of like a mental-health break from reality, but the girl was ready to return to the land of the living. Besides, she'd already lived long enough without her mother - best not to keep her waiting. And so the girl turned her head up to Imperius, awaiting his announcements.

Key the entrance of Andromeda.
The onyx coated lupine held her head high as she padded up to the meeting of the Swarovski family, her chosen position beside her mother. Blush gold eyes looked around at the others, contempt for all of them except for Viera. Out of all the pup's adopted by her mother, the grey lupine was her favorite. Before the fire that had burnt her pristine white pelt and subsequently ruined her life, Andy remembered playing with Viera - then nothing more than the daughter of one of the many servants her mother kept. They'd had an instinct bond and became close friends quicker than either of them could blink.
And so the wolf would smile in greeting to Viera, though chose to ignore the rest. Respect was earned, and just because her mother had adopted the lot of them, that didn't make the equals. "Well isn't this just cozy." the wolf grinned, flashing Viera a mischievous wink.
Life had dealt her one hell of a hand.
She'd been born in the lap of luxury before it was ripped from her by the hungry flames of the great fire. From then she'd lived as a servant, too young to be able to hold onto the memories of what had been for her. Without her mother their to guide her, she'd lost focus. Began to believe that she truly lived to please others. This was not the case, and when her rebellious teen years got the better of her, she was reminded of who she was. Andromeda Swarovski. Daughter to the Empress and Princess of the Empire.
The onyx wolf cast a rose gold gaze across the new territory. Snow bit at her paws and she looked down at the pesky cold. Andy couldn't help but grin as her own flames purred under her command, melting the ice beneath her ink colored paws. The flames matched the color of her eyes - blush gold - as they licked at blanket of white that coated the north. Tall pine tree's framed her vision as she continued forward, a knowing smile dancing on the edges of her lips.
If there were any of Jae's kids that did not fuck around with formalities when it came to their mother - it was Andromeda. However, this time around she decided she'd play along and gave her mother a respectful bow. "I'll take one, mother."
The feeling of another mind brushing against her own sent a ripple of shivers down her spine. Instinctively she shied away from it, reaching for some time of mental blockade before she recognize the voice that echoed inside her head; Shininglight. His message sent her paws on a path towards him, her brown satchel thumping against her side with each step.
"Oh my, what happened?" her voice was slightly muffled by the mask she wore across her face. White assumed a position beside the injured person, her paws removing cloth bandages from her bag. The crinkle of a well used bottle followed shortly, water sloshing around inside of it. "Can you tell me where you are?" The creature before her was bleeding badly, the injuries they had received seemed extensive, but she decided to do a quick rapid trauma assessment which help her better understand what needed attention first. The nurse would attempt to place her paws on the body of Willow and, beginning at the top of her head, would apply small amounts of pressure to determine any head injuries. Since Lessa had already brught out bandages and herbs, she assumed the doctor would set to stopping the blood flow in the meantime.
Her brows drew together as Fading questioned her actions. "I don't mean to sound rude, but why else would I melt the snow? It's cold and I'd like to make my walk through the snow a little more enjoyable." Sure, she tended to act like a 'high and mighty royal' sometimes, but was it really so much of an issue? Her dark lips pulled up into a smile as Viera appeared by her side, giggling softly as she used her own powers to bring forth another layer of snow. The subtle call of her powers as they sizzled when met with the cold bringing a tingle down her spine as she relished in the control.
The dark colored lupine nudged Viera, winking a rose gold optic at the white wolf before she stepped to the side and turned her gaze to the others that had begun to trickle in. With a little push with her mind, the girl allowed her flames to gain in power. Her smiled growing as the rose gold flames licked up her pelt and consumed her figure in a subtle light. "You all speak as if you do not believe that I have complete and total control of my powers." her brow quirked, daring any of them to suggest otherwise.
With a breathy laugh, she released her hold on the flames, allowing them to die down before she put her attention on Jaelynn, "I've got to make sure I stand out in the North, and what better way than to be a flame amongst icicles?" her smile broadened, humor evident in her silky smooth voice. Her mother and Viera both held power over the cold ice and snow, something the young princess had found rather neat considering they weren't blood related. Or were they?
There was not much that Andromeda loved more than a good excuse to get dressed up. It had taken longer than she had planned for, but she was sure no one would mind. She took a long look at her finished ensemble in the floor length mirror she'd spent the last two hours in front of, turning this way and that way. A small frown dimpled the space between her eyebrows, a sign that she was thinking rather than second guessing her choice. Andy wasn't vain, rather she was a perfectionist - every little detail must be properly attended to. The young girl smoothed down her dress one last time, her fingers tracing the delicate lace stitching, before she turned and made her way down to the grand hall.
She'd chosen a long gown that was a pink so light, you had to look closely to avoid mistaking it for ivory. The skirt was composed of layers of ruffled tulle, a cascade of thin fabric that connected with her bodice at her natural waist line - creating a subtle affect of an 'hour glass figure'. Her bodice was far more detailed, designed that way to bring attention to the low v-cut that probably showed a bit too much of her modesty. Delicate, hand-sewn flowers on top of a sheer fabric left little to imagine beneath the white lace.
Her make-up was simple yet bold, with a strong flick of eyeliner that reached outwards in the shape of a pointed wing and a two-tone neutral eye-shadow combination that created an ombre affect at the crease of her eyelid. Andy had spent the longest time contouring her face, shadowing and highlighting the appropriate features before completing her look with a deep red matte lipstick.
Andromeda's hair was long and dark brown, falling in loose waves until the ends reached her rear, which made it difficult to pull of an updo. So instead she left it long, pulling up the top section and braiding a few strands before twisting it into a loose bun, leaving a few strands of hair out to frame her face.
The girl had decided her dress was a statement piece itself, so jewelry would have to be subtle. Two tear-drop diamonds adorned each ear, set into rose-gold to compliment the pink hues of her dress. Diamond studs reached up her right ear before ending in a hoop at the tip. She wore a few delicately crafted rings, but other than that - jewelry was scarce.
On her way out the door, she'd slipped into some nude heels, and made her way into the large hall where it appeared a few guests had begun to arrive. The soft click on her heels on the floor was comforting to her as she made her way to stand beside her mother and her adopted sister. "Mother," she said quietly, bowing to her as she did so. Andy turned to her sister, shooting her a smile as she admired her choice in outfit. "You look beautiful as always, Viera." She attempted to playfully swat the other girl's waist as she eyed Rodrick and the outstretched glass of wine.
The princess then turned her full attention to the guests - some of them allies, and some of them empyrians - all of them dressed for the occasion. "Hope I'm not too late," a soft chuckle followed her words, a large smile showing a hint of white teeth as she did so. "I'm Andromeda Swarovski, it's a pleasure to meet all of you - and help welcome you to our home." Now, she needed a drink.

It appeared, for the time being, that all alliances were accounted for, so the young lupine made herself comfortable as she listened in on the clan politics.
