Kairos padded up, his onyx eyes carefully watching the form of Sekhmet. This whole.. back and forth between the Thunderlands and the Shadow Veil was beginning to weigh heavy on the male. However, now was not the time to dwell on his personal battles. The Thunderlands was his home, and the veil was continuing to actively threaten their wellbeing. Their leader had been captured, tortured.. Enough was enough.

Sorry for my inactivity guys. The rebuild has.. been a challenge for Kairos as a character (given his demon/angel sides) so it's been hard to try and remake him as a character. I should be back tomorrow if I get thing settled.

Also - I'd love to try my hand at making a badge for the thunderlands if you'd like??

Kairos grimaced at the sight of Regis, hatred burning low in the pit of his stomach for the Veil. He no longer recognized his former home, and their unquenchable thirst for... just outright violence. They wouldn’t be stopped by acts of diplomacy, as they obviously no longer cared about morals. The large lion took as seat, briefly curious about what this meeting held for his group.

Yeah, activity really has dropped, but I feel like it has more to do with users figuring out how to re-work their characters so that they fit with the new rules of the rebuild.

But I think activities around the clan would be great regardless. I’ll post back here when I have some good ideas ;))

Unfortunately Kairos as a character will probably have to be assumed missing after the rebuild. I just can’t make his character fit with the new rules (with out getting rid of some information that’s important to his plotting and overarching development). I’m the future I may bring another blank slate character because I do love the thunderlands :))

    Name: Kairos

    Position desired: Midnightbringer

    Second choice position: Nightwatcher

    New or premade?: Premade

    Age: physically around a year

    Gender: male

Appearance: kairos is a barbary lion (also called an atlas lion) and his stature - though impressively large - gives off an almost understated kind of power. one can clearly see the strength he must possess, but the exact quantity is left unknown. the pelt that fits smoothly across his figure is a stark contrast - a sleek maltese color that allows onlookers an idea of the muscles that twist and twine across a sturdy skeleton. flames lick down his body, an ethereal white, that which are triggered by his emotions. twin pebbles of a gray so dark that on overcast days or at night they appear almost black, sit nestled upon the charcoal planes of his face, veins of black marking intricate designs before blending in with his pupils.

Personality: kairos is a lover and finds comfort in the presence of others - specifically those he's catagorized as 'romantic interests'. he is an idealist at times and likes to think that he is searching for 'the one', but often time ends up disappointed with his chosen flings. he is a dedicated man, to both his clan and his lovers, and doesn't usually intentionally hurt others. outsiders and clanmates alike that have earned distrust (likely through acts of disloyalty) earn a hefty sentence of his infamous cold shoulder and silent act - as well as his scrutiny for any other acts of betrayal.

Time had always been a fickle concept for Kairos, but the male had long since reconciled himself with his cold truth. It moved slow the longer he thought about it - the longer he dwelled on his endless journey upon this earth. If he allowed the pessimist inside to breath life to his fears, it would surely tell him how doomed he was to constantly repeat past failures. That's what time signified to him, so he chose to ignore it as best he could.

His eyes, a dark gray that reflected the gloomy sky above, fell upon the thick trees that embraced him like a maternal figure. His lungs filled with the sweet scent that filled him with euphoria and sadness. His time spent in the Shadow Veil had been probably the happiest time of his life, but that did not mean he did not suffer his fair share of heartbreak. However, today he chose to focus on the positive side - and on the future that lay waiting for him just on the other side of the tree line.

The maltese lion steadied himself, coming to a stop just beyond the border with a look of stern contemplation upon his maw. It had taken many moons to convince himself that no matter where he went - the Veil would always be his home. However, all the strength he had built up, threatened to come crumbling down around him. Would the place have changed so much it would be rendered unrecognizable? His brows furrowed as negativity swelled in his chest, his hind end coming in to contact with the damp forest floor as Kairos settled back in to a more comfortable position as he awaited the inevitable patrol that would likely be along shortly to greet him.

As his eyes fell upon the destruction left behind by Blizzardclan, he once more cursed whatever gods that laughed above him that he had not been around in time to lend a paw. He held no assumptions that his participation alone would have reversed the outcome, but he still yearned to bury his claws in a pesky Blizzardclanner or two. Rounded ears flicked as he picked up Yuuki's orders and he lacked the patience to wait from some other personalized command. So instead he set off near Noir, tackling the bigger pieces of debris - wrapping his jaws around the larger sticks that he figured could be used for building defenses and placing them in a pile separate from the general mess. Muscles rippled beneath his maltese pelt as he worked, his body going through the motions as his mind mentally listed off all the things he intended to do once their retaliation attack against Blizzardclan was solidified.

Kairos had only ever experienced one Shade Hour in his time as a Veiler, but it was so long ago he could barely remember it. The male had never been bothered by ghosts and such, so he simply sat and watched the hysteria unfolding around him as member dashed left and right in search of sanctuary. He kept his face blank, but charcoal optics glimmered with the humor that bubbled up within. "You sure a simply circle will keep the spooky ghosts away?" he spoke out, directing his question to Poinsettia - the only one who seemed to understand what was going on here. His voice held an obvious tone of skepticism as the smile he'd kept hidden finally appeared.

Kairos had never been big on parties, but the size of the preparations made ignoring the festivities a little hard to do without seeming like some big ol' jerk. So instead, he did his best to hide his large form on the outskirts of the party. Charcoal optics watched the Rogues as they trickled in, his gaze filled with a healthy mix of interest and skepticism.

Kairos watched as Bravo began his steady walk in the lion’s direction, nervously playing through all the possible conversation starters the midnightbringer might attempt. The one he ended up choosing made Kairos balk, the result being a rather long pause as he struggled with an event appropriate response.

I’m doing fine. It’s good to be back in the Veil, even though a lot has changed in my absence.” since his return, post world shift, it had become devastatingly apparent that he may never see his friends again. He’d heard whispers of rumors regarding the nearly apocalyptic situation where so many souls had been lost - never to return, or at least maybe not in his lifetime. It reminded him of the centuries he’d spent in Pandora’s box - did that blasted torture chamber exist anymore? He hoped not - that would probably be the best news he’d received since waking up in this new terrain.

Realizing that to continue the conversation, like a decent clan mate, Kairos would need to speak instead of sitting in silence and marinating in old memories. “My apologies, and how are you? Are you enjoying the festivities? Correct me if I am wrong, but you are the one in charge of managing inter-clan affairs? Do you have anything in mind to celebrate the coming holidays - open just for the Veilers?” words tumbled out of his mouth in a less than eloquent way, but it was a good first attempt and Kairos was pleased. Maybe he hadn’t lost all his manners just yet.

Veilers seemed to pour out from the trees, far quicker than he had anticipated. It wasn’t so much a surprise - the Veil he knew long ago would have roughly the same reaction speed - he would have just liked a little more time to compose himself. He’d fallen in to a comforting role of an unfeeling boulder, and as easy as it was to keep living like this, he knew that would be no life. He’d yet to find a lot of his friends in the world shift, and knew he had to be more grateful for the fact that he had survived where many had perished.

So as each creature came forth, either choosing to make some remark or remain silent, the male affixed a neutral smile on his heavily scarred maw. “My name is Kairos,” the behemoth began in a baritone pitch, gray oculars sweeping over the attendants. “I am here to join.” his statements were clipped, the male keeping his responses short and concise. Kairos did not know any of the creatures who had thus far greeted him, but he still held on to a glimmer of hope that he might yet come across someone familiar.

Though his adjustment to being back in a structure society was going fairly well, the male still felt the urge every once and a while to take a step back from the bustling life as a veiler. He did not regret his choice to return home, but at the end of the day it was nice to take a stroll and take a moment to simply be. As the massive lion allowed his paws to direct him away from the pine trees of his home, his mind wandered freely. It dredged up old memories colored in hues of sadness and glee alike. He had lived a hell of a long time, and as such had plenty of memories to entertain him for years.

However, there were a few moments of his past that came up more often than others. Recently, his first time in the Shadow Veil had been playing over and over again. It was bittersweet. He'd met his first love then, only to have her stolen away before he ever made a move. He'd gone in to a dark place at that time, coming out a selfish bastard more determined to get what he wanted. These weren't his brightest times, but he had learned from such mistakes.

The fresh scent of wide open territory caught his attention, the male realizing just how far he had traveled from camp. The distinct sterile smell of alcohol was the next scent to greet his nose and it wrinkled up in response. Who was all the way out here - indulging in the mind altering drink? Curiosity led the male to come upon Poinsettia, a small smile moving across black lips as he recognized the female. "Didn't think I'd find someone I knew all the way out here - or anyone at all really." the male mused idly, silently debating whether or not he'd ask the other to share her supply. He had never really gotten in to alcohol, but he was no prude.

"Well, I can honestly say that this is a first." the behemoth padded up with a humorless chuckle. His eyes scanned the surrounding territory, his mind on a similar track as Yuu's - that this was nothing more than a ploy, some weak attempt to set a trap. However, when he came to the same conclusion that this fool was alone, his mood lightened considerably. As Yuu aimed to tackle the Exiler, Kairos simply watched. Would they give him the death he so desired, or perhaps have a little fun with them? Only time would tell.

"You lot gonna stop and catch a breath? I mean damn, you sure do a lot of talking when the purpose of a 'raid' - or whatever it is you came here to do - is to fight. Please, correct me if I am wrong." the massive lion padded up nonchalantly, charcoal optics eyeing the Exilers with amusement. This pathetic attack had really just turned into a 'who's nether regions are bigger' contest. "I mean, unless your intent was to bore us all to death... You've really outdone yourselves this time." He let out a hearty laugh at this. Clearly the infamous Exiles were no more. He remembered the group back in their 'glory days' and they never wasted this much time on a pissing contest. They were the type to attack in the dark or some shit. Sure, they were never fair fighters, but that didn't take away from the fact that they were a group of action. Hah, but even then their actions were simply that. They were ruled by chaotic evil and were just about as dumb as rocks. Not much had changed, but it did appear they'd stumbled across a dictionary.

His thoughts were cut short as a familiar body sprung out from nowhere and assaulted Pionsettia. Sekhmet? The male, out of sheer surprise, was rendered immobile as time slowed down around him. Sekhmet was alive? A feeling like someone had suckerpunched him right in the gut erupted and he stumbled forward. How was this possible? Well, its not like reincarnation wasn't a thing, but still! How did he not know this? He overcame his shock, but it was too late. The body of a woman he could truly say he loved was gone, along with a clanmate who he had bonded with on a personal level. He let out a roar at such a massive fuck up on his part, but before he could attempt to follow them - the battle broke out and he was literally torn. Should he follow after them, or defend his home from this pathetic parasites?

    Hey there! So my man Kairos has been appointed ambassador for the Kinship Circle and I wanted to spice things up c;

I was thinking, during his visits, he might develop a sort of 'friends w benefits' type relationship with someone here. I'd like for this to end with a pregnancy as it would totally mess Kai up. If there are any takers.. just like let me know! We can definitely see how things work out icly as well as discuss this mini-plot more indepth.

side note: he is heterosexual :>
