did he appreciate his sister helping those in need? sure, stag wasn't a monster. they could use the help, and everyone was sore and achy, even he was no exception. but this was stag, and he wasn't the appreciation type. the closest anyone got was a nod, and that was on a good day in which he wasn't tired and hungry.

not to mention that herbs were... well, the weak fool's weapon. anyone who spent time playing with flowers, rather than hunting or fighting or guarding, was a weak link. the weakest, perhaps. knowing herbs was fine, but check up's? stag valued strength, and he was foolish enough to see no strength in the medicine. they helped fix you - but they didn't prevent you from getting hurt.

"now now little sister," the male said, ever the teasing tom, "becoming a petal pusher, are we?" he inquired, the words taunting but the tone joking. his kin could do no wrong - but he wouldn't let them think playing with flowers wasn't hilarious to him.

sister or not, stag didn't like taking orders. not from stonetellers or lovers or anyone who could offer him anything, much less his little sister. but he was too hungry, too tired, to give tigress a piece of his mind.

the massive stoneteller fell in place, as he was instructed, dark eyes following every movement of his kin and the predator. he didn't hunt often - his body was generally too heavy to make the fantastic leaps and moves necessary to make the kill. he was as graceful and aerodynamic as a boulder - as big as one, too.

however, he'd shed more than a little weight in the recent moon, and when it came his turn, he was a smidge lighter on his paws than usual. it was enough, though, and the dark feline landed on the opposing wing of the bird, claws and teeth digging in as the creature began to give in to the mutual weight of his siblings. his grip wasn't strong, though, and he knew that if sky wasn't on time, he'd be going down - bird or no bird.

    sheo i love you lmao

i dunno about it becoming, like, a thing, but i do think stag would want to crash the gathering, at least the first one when they arrive (aka november). i just see him getting really butt hurt when he knows everyone's hanging out and he wasn't invited, so he shows up wedding crasher style lmao

other leaders: bro u weren't invited

    stag: ya i was

    stag: i invited myself bitchez

    what. the fuck. was this.

stag had heard an unfamiliar sound some time ago. the whole tribe had. they crawled along the untread path in silence, as though afraid to speak, listening the sound. it was hushed and steady, like water but not... wet. after a while, the sound grew louder, louder. a foul stench of something burnt and foreign assaulted their senses, and it wasn't long until the thing arrived in their vision.

he'd heard of these, from travelers. these paths built of black rock, in which monsters bigger than boulders hurried along. he hadn't ever imagined this, though. the path seemed to go on forever in either direction, as wide as half a dozen trees, every few second some monster hurrying along. the male crept forward slowly, until there was only a tree's length separating him from the terrifying scene, and there was no other way to cross, he came to realize. they'd have to travel across this with their young and sick and weak.

"everyone just stay back," stag decided, eyeing the scene warily. "i want only the strongest and the fittest up here right now. we need to figure out how to cross this thing with our tails intact."

they'd been traveling for so long - it had seemed like they'd never find a new home. but, sure enough, the scouts he'd sent ahead the previous night, who'd returned that morning, had proven true. this, this would be their new home.

this... this wasn't what he'd been expecting, when they set out, searching for a new home. they were out of the mountains, out of their mountains. they'd passed through an entire other set of mountains, and found themselves situated not far from the base. a river marked one border, a small, dirt thunderpath consisting of the other. riverclan, he was told, lie on the other side of it. across that river, in the very corner, lie skyclan. on the opposing side of riverclan, where their border stretched just a little further along the thunderpath, lie windclan, just a crossing away. beyond them were more clans - more clans that stag figured he'd learn of sooner or later.

while he wanted to be a friendly neighbor, stag would have to say his hello's at a later point. right now, he roamed with the rest of the tribe, thuroughly exploring their strange new world. it was hilly, like a hundred little mountains - no flat land. every pawstep was either up or down. however, there were a lot of trees and small streams and brooks, nothing deeper than chest high at most. there was a dip in the land, a miniature valley that had little burrows into the land of varying sizes and shapes. the camp, he remarked silently, while several felines hurried about, calling dibs on dens. they'd decide dens later, he thought to himself.

like many, though, stag found himself beyond curious, and followed his paws, exploring like an excited kitten.

[the fourth and final event! six posts for the badge - y'all know already.

the new territory is extremely open as of right now, and in the coming weeks and months, there will be lots of fun little chances for discovery! as of right now, the climate is a blend of several clans - it has the hills of windclan, the trees of thunderclan, and a lot of little streams like riverclan. they're predominantly neighbors with riverclan, located across the thunderpath from morgans farm. their territory stretches along the thunderpath, and is twice as long as it is wide. there are less trees and more open land and meadows in the area near windclan.

feel free to have your character have fun exploring and having little adventures!]

stag: wait, ain't half of y'all enemies?

leaders: the gathering is a sacred time of peace. starclan would be angry if we fought.

stag: ahaha, right. so you're, uh, ancestors in the stars are gonne whine if y'all fight? so you stomach each other and give passive aggressive comments, pretty much comparing dick sizes?

    leaders: ...

stag: alright, i'm down. y'all tribe cats are weird as fuck, but i'm into this weird shit.

they had a new home. a new life. it wouldn't be easy - they had to adjust to a lot, and they had to do it on the brink of leafbare. snow and winds would come soon enough, driving away prey and forcing them to find new ways of life. but they'd do it. they'd do it because they had to, because they were strong. stag would be damned if he sat back and watched them all rot away like the dead. they'd gone through so much to get here, to live, and he'd see to it that they did.

the new camp was strange. it didn't smell quite like them - but everyone had their dens. they had places to sleep at night, they had shelter and, for once, food. it felt like new leaf all over again in this new territory, abundant with prey that had run from the clans. for the first time in a long time, stag had a full belly, and there was more on the prey pile.

he'd been fidgeting around, trying to get everyone comfortable. the sun was setting, the sky a crescendo of yellows and oranges and reds, and stag figured they could use a meeting. have a good talk, give out some promotions. he wasn't sure who to make his emissiary quite yet - but he'd get to that sooner or later. for now, he wanted to give some degree of credit where it was due, and that evening, it was due all around.

"tribe of rushing water," stag called, flicking an ear. "gather for a meeting!"

welcome to the tribe of rushing water's mass adoptions! the tribe of rushing water is currently under a reboot, with new leadership and almost entirely open high positions! the board is located here, the chat is here, if you'd like to pop in and say hello, the high position try-out's are here, and the guide is currently being written out!

we're a small community currently picking up in activity, and we try to be as welcoming and engaing as we can! the tribe offers all of the traditional aspects of the traditional game, without the same, vanilla rules, ranks, and lifestyle as the clans! so, if you're looking for something a little different, as well as a place to be welcomed with open arms and lots of cookies, then you belong there - and adopting your way into the tribe is a perfect way to join!

the only general rules are that you stay in the tribe for at least thirty days with your character, though this may be longer depending on the litter. all forms can be accepted by whoever posted the litter, the tribe stoneteller (myself), or the emissiary.

    Quote

Highstones are the rocks[3] that are home to Mothermouth, a pitch-black cave, which contains the Moonstone.[2] Highstones can easily be seen from far away.[1] The earth is darker here, the grass coarser underpaw, giving away to bare rocky soil dotted with patches of heather.

    grassy rocks, apparently.

when you look at the map, if things are to a relative scale, they're each about the size of one of the fourtrees trees.

this is a weird af discovery.

    also hello riverclan,

you now have a vv morally gray ally of bloodclan across the street.

side note, but i really want stag to take some tribe members on an adventure to the moonstone and just like make fun of the clan cats religion.

starclan is lame af, obviously fake. nah, y'see, the tribe of endless hunting is real.
