stag watched his sister with curious eyes. he knew nothing of this, but thorn bushes weren't common in the mountains - if he got pricked, he wouldn't want to go begging her for help. he'd much rather fix it and ignore it.

he saw the boys embarrassment, recognized it. he'd been there as a kitten - everyone had. done something dim, felt like and idiot. he'd been in that position a lot as a kitten and a to-be, before tigress and bear had been born. somehow, becoming a big brother ha made him smarter.

"when i was your age, i fell off the mountain." he said, half hoping to cheer the boy up with a tale of his own stupidity. "ran out of the cave and tumbled right over the edge. not a far drop, but i was bruised all over for a while.

"you're a, uh, a kid. kids get hurt, you guys heal fast. now, when you're my age, you wouldn't survive thorn bushes." the male flcked his ear again. it was a tick - flick, flick, flick -, somethig he did when he was uncomfortable. the stoneteller was always uncomfortable with kids. but he didn't want the boy getting down on himself; they needed spirits high, with the impending leaf bare.

"greetings." the cave guard to be said with a level voice and a dip of his head. "my name is river with many fish, i'm a cave guard to be of the tribe of rushing water. i stand before the new border between skyclan and the tribe of rushing water; we've now moved to a new territory alongside the clans, and our stoneteller has sent me to invite you, your stoneteller, emissiary, shamans, and some warriors to come and meet him and the tribe, as we're now neighbors. stag that faces hunter would like to discuss a friendship between our tribe and your clan, as well as learn about your ways."

so here are the sign ups for ceremonies! meetings are held every saturday, and take place at the very beginning of the meeting. to-be's are assigned to which path they'll follow during this time, and unlike the clans, there are no name changes. if a character wants to change their name, they're allowed to announce it themselves in a seperate thread or at the end of the meeting.

this also applies to things like pregnancies, which can be announced at the end of the meeting. stag icly welcomes newborn kits and ic joiners.

Which cat are you adopting into your family: maple/honey

Why: she's a cutie + the only traditional character

What character is adopting this cat and what are their relations: she could be a stag x mintyblossom kitten if you'd like?

stag is g1 and currently the leader of the tribe of rushing water. his brother and sister are both members of the tribe council, shp positions.

mintyblossom is g2 and tied into the largest traditional family. off the top of my head, it relates her to redsky, silvereyes, quietstar, brindlestar, frecklestar, kodiakbite, sweetrose, sheogorath/tigerscar, tulipstar, amaryllispaw, blackcanary, alice, quinn, and dozens more. all of those characters are or were hp's, and that list doesn't even include the non-hp's. mintyblossom was also the first medicine cat of traditional skyclan.

What clan would you like for my character to be part of: the tribe of rushing water is where the litter was born and left by mintyblossom.

Additional information or requests: traditionally, she'd have a tribe name. however, mintyblossom was a clan cat and could have given her a clan name, something stag would go along with if you'd prefer!

a small boy sat at the thunderclan border. this was his second clan today; if all went well once more, then it'd be called a good, productive day.

white fur was caked in mud, concealing his scent, but he made no attempt to hide. he needed to speak to these thunderclanners, after all.

    [note: this is not stag.]

the small golden furred girl, maybe seven months old, waited at the shadowclan border. she looked almost bored, tired from the walk. her shiny fur was concealed by mud, blue eyes glowing against the brown, watching the other side of the border for a shadowclanner.

at the arrival of what he assumed to be a fellow to-be, wolf sat up a little straighter. "um, hello. my name is wolf that howls at moon, a to-be of the tribe of rushing water. my stoneteller has asked me to come and invite you guys to come and meet him, let us learn about you guys, develop a friendship between your clan and our tribe. he said to bring your stoneteller, emmisary, shamans, and some warriors if you'd like - stag that faces hunter is intrigued by the clans way of life."

stag wasn't a great father. he didn't spend much time with his children, didn't involve himself in their lives. but his youngest litter was different. mintyblossom had left them at birth, and stag felt obligated to, at the very least, insure they were fed and alive - a rare thing for the stoneteller.

he'd been cleaning himself in one of the sunnier parts of their new camp, enjoying the air. each den was a tunnel that led into a cave, but the camp itself was just a dip in the land - and he appreciated the sunlight warming his fur these days.

he glanced up at the sight of his daughter and her fall, and quirked an eyebrow, amused at the kitten's antics.

"don't go breaking yourself. we don't have any shamans to clean you up." he called to her, giving a small chuckle. kids were weird.

the boy looked dumbfounded. were these clans all... all to-be's and warriors?

"a stoneteller is, like, in charge." he said, clearly confused about this clans heirarchy. "he tells everyone what to do and talks to our ancestors. an emissary is whoever the stoneteller picks to succeed them when they die. and shamans heal cats with herbs. how do you guys live without any of those?" he inquired, dumbfounded.
