CIVILIZE THE MIND BUT MAKE SAVAGE THE BODY / Brynhild Arcanium / She/her / Sunclan

Wellness and a safe, smooth delivery was all a mother could ever desire for their expected children once they made it to labour. For so long all that was ever known was the soft, warm security of the swollen womb cradling tiny life within. For so long the organ was shared along with many other developing fetuses, all growing at their own individual rates, all built from the same mother and father but all unique with their own genetic information and traits. For so long the crowded world of the embryo was all that was ever real, there was no vision, no sound, only physical sensation and when surrounded by fluid even that was limited. All that could be felt was the gentle rocking of a mother’s stride strife and the pressure of surrounding children all pushing in as they grew until the pressure turned extreme and the walls of the womb contracted with great force.

Labour had begun and all a mother could ever desire was a smooth birth of her beloved little ones, however, reality was fighting against the dream and unfortunately enough, not all cubs were introduced to the world in greatest of ways.

Like all the other children which the Goldenblood carried, the unnamed kit was conceived at the same moment and grew along with the rest in a healthy manner until growth turned invasive and in the final months the young fetal felinoid had become relatively large for its stage in development. When the walls of the uterus contracted and squeezed little bodies into the atmosphere, more surface pressure had been applied to the large kitten as she was roughly pushed out, wings making it all the more agonizingly difficult to be delivered. Unfortunately it was agonizing on both parts.

When a smooth, moistened head was revealed to the world the first thing that would escape from the young female as she was birthed was a ear-piercing cry of a meow and as the little body slid into the fur covered flooring of the pyramid of Solis. Warmth was taken from her grasp and all sense of security had has ceased to feel like reality, the first feeling to ever be felt for the cub was excruciating pain. A gigantic body came with its many downsides and the birth canal was only fit to accommodate certain shapes and sizes and due to semi-outstretched wings and a generally large frame, the child had been crushed through delivery.

It mewled and cried, body shaking as the coolness of the air got to It's fur to rip the heat remaining from whatever fluid left on its coat. Her poor face was scrunched up and wrinkled with the pain that rippled through her little body. Her chest ached incredibly so, but the most torturous sensation was what had happened to her wings.

The pair of dark chocolate and lilac limbs built for flight were crippled and crushed beyond its original state, assymetrical and crooked, broken bones could have been easily diagnosed with only a single glance. Only a few brief moments in the real world and naturally these damaged features began to swell to defend itself from outside forces and the inflammation only brought more pain onto the young soul and by extension, it drew more cries from the girl’s lungs.

While her sisters and brothers raced to nurse and seek their mother’s familiar warmth, she was so shocked with agony that she was left immobilized in her crippling pain.

She didn't know what happened, but with this pain and this suffering so soon after months of total security, she wished she had never been brought into the world.

Although genetically a hybrid, Brynhild inherited many feline traits and little to none of the kitsune. She takes the form of a serval, her tail nubbed like her mother’s and her body lean and muscular like any other serval. This athletic body is hidden behind thick, plush fur which she inherited from the fox. Another trait she gained from Suga was thin, pointed ears. Her coat is that of a dark grayish purple ticked with a dark chocolate. She is a Siamese pointed feline and her face, limbs and nub of her tail is dark chocolate. Has two gigantic scars over the shoulders which was where her wings once were, however, they were amputated at birth.

The pains of early childhood were fading from memory and now finally Brynhild was able to enjoy life. Of course amputation left her unable to gain the ability of flight like many of her other siblings, and as much as she was jealous of the potential, she selfishly replaced the thought knowing that she was probably going to end up stronger and much more courageous than them anyways. As months passed her siblings grew and so did she, however, Brynhild had become much more larger than all the rest. She was absolutely gigantic and because of that was generally rough with her younger littermates. It wasn't her intention to be so rough, even when she was as gentle as possible a simple shove too hard could leave her sisters and brothers tumbling. It angered her, really, she hated having to tone down her strength for people who couldn't handle it. Why couldn't she be able to play with the apprentices? People who could match her strength? She was so much bigger than some apprentices, she could definitely be one at this age, right?

Well, apparently not, so now she was left to entertain herself until she reached the proper age. A child could only keep themselves busy for so long, so eventually Brynhild lead herself into mischievous acts. Far off from the nursery the large hybrid was eyeing the camp borders, occasionally stepping out and back in, as if testing the waters to see if she could muster the courage to head off

Well, apparently not, so now she was left to entertain herself until she reached the proper age. A child could only keep themselves busy for so long, so eventually Brynhild lead herself into mischievous acts.

She had gathered up a moistened, rotting piece of log that matched her size. It's wet surface bark was darkened and covered in moss and lichen, obviously in the starting stages of decomposition, but the young girl didn't seem to mind the feeling nor the stench for she had a special use for this log. What kind of use was that?

Training. She was too young to fight and train with other living members, who said she couldn't with unsentient items? So, out in the center of camp the young, relatively large kitten was tossing around a breaking apart a log, occasionally hissing and growling in order to mimic a potentially real situation of combat.

Bryn didn't give much attention to siblings that were not her littermates so of course Levi went unoticed as he passed through until finally he spoke and the young hybrid's attention was drawn upon the dark Prince. Her lavender eyes remained narrow as she directed her muzzle away from the log dummy which she had prepared, her face still and stern as she'd stare down her supposed much more minuscule half brother. Blood only had so much value. Her sisters, her brothers, her mother and father, she would give her own life for them if need be, she would be their personal front line guardian when the day would come, but when it came to her many half siblings they were merely strangers. Strangers didn't deserve her care and undying loyalty, they had yet to obtain her respect and Levi, despite his ranking, had not.

Much like her half brother, she too was as blank and seemingly expressionless, whatever little humour behind her relative's voice left unidentified by her young ears.

"Nothing. Logs aren't alive. They can't do anything to me." Was the young warrior's simple but yet rather smart-assy response, her eyes turning now back onto her makeshift dummy, unseathing claws, preparing for yet another attack until another voice chimed in and took her eyes away

Dixi. Just as much of a stranger as Levi was; she didn't pick favourites. She eyed the male quietly as he spoke, taking in his features as well as his tone before coming up with a response.

    "Training, I wanna stay strong."

She somewhat expected to be scolded for that, be told thst she was too young to train, too young to fight or even think of combat at this age, but quite frankly she didn't care. She wasn't hurting herself or anyone else, so ruled or expectations from a princess didn't matter

Her chocolate pointed forepaws would inch forward and back as the young woman combated her urges along with her thoughts, still evidently debating her decision on whether to leave or remain in boredom within Sunclan's camp until suddenly the familiar voice of one of her many sister piped in and redirected her eyes to turn away from the border and onto Eden. She quickly lowered her paw, digging toes into the ground and she took in the little girl's remark about their mother - pfft. That wasn't much of a threat or a discourage to her potential plot, but still she offered a stiff smile in order to avoid having a snitch on her paws. Brynhild loved all her siblings to death, she practically lived with the thought of protecting them until death, but sometimes even they could be little rascals.

"I'm not leaving, see?" The large kitten would look down to her paws, shimmying toes deeper into the soil, grounding her body to the camp flooring as if trying to prove to Eden this was her true plan, however the child had already seemed to have been distracted and moving along, so that display wasn't quite needed. Brynhild watched as her smaller sibling approached the borders, her beautiful wings draped along her frame, so thin from the lack of muscles but so soft and clear from the lack of use. A bit of jealousy sparked through her mind until she caught the timid words spoken by the young catsune.

"Star line?" She'd repeat, eyes narrowing and head cocking over as she tried to see what Eden was so fixated on, but quite honestly, in her eyes there was absolutely nothing but the strong scent of the border. She was about to continue on how this was actually called a border, but once again the topic was changed, this time on the concept of play and immediately Brynhild's eyes followed her sister's gaze upon the camp.

"Hide and seek! Let's do it!" And with that she started to trot forward before coming up to a halt, looking make and making sure her smaller littermate was following along just finely. Brynhild knew that her huge size was a great disadvantage on the hiding aspect of this game, but she didn't mention it. Only sore losers complained about that stuff - she wasn't a sore loser. She could be the best hide and go seeker even when she was this big.

    :00000 bRYNHILD WOULD DO THAT

it would probably be one of those situations where she's like "ugh you need to toughen up here lets train" but then someone else comes along and is like "ugh you need to toughen up" and bryn is like "eXCUSE ME DO NOT TOUCH MY SISTER"

CIVILIZE THE MIND BUT MAKE SAVAGE THE BODY / Brynhild Arcanium / She/her / Sunclan

Brynhild would have much rather been focusing on her strengths and abilities rather than in conversation, but obviously, that wasn't going to happen now that she caught so much attention to herself. Hearing Dixie continue on and asking for a name the stoic female gaped her maw to answer, however, instead of her own voice offering a response that of her sister came through instead. Redirecting her attention over towards the floating catsune, Bryn would let herself stare at the manner her sister carried herself through floating. It was lazy and quite frankly downright pathetic that she relied on magic for transportation. How long did she think she was going to remain healthy like this? Letting out a low scoff the thick-furred Arcanium would address her smaller sister: "I can give my own name, thanks." She'd say with a light wave of a gigantic paw, drawing hind quarters back into a seated position as she listened to Alena's continuation of words that followed. Although rather humble and somewhat modest on Bryn's rugged exterior, the words Alena said internally made the felinoid feel smug with pride and glory. "Still... It doesn't hurt to get ready for apprenticeship." And war, she would mentally add even though she knew her participation in such a thing would be delayed due to her young age.

Dixi's voice came forth again and now her light violet eyes were on him as he offered his introduction. Expression still as serious and as stern as before, Brynhild bowed her head in response whilst giving him a greeting in return. Nice to meet you too." The youthful pink lion cub was a little naive and overly friendly, it was a little annoying but without that trait, Bryn wasn't very likely to socialize with others.

With all that aside the young female stood upon her gigantic paws and turned to face her makeshift dummy, preparing herself to indulge in more combat until the familiar purr of her mother chimed in and her eyes and ears were now all on her and her gentle words of concern. Bryn's eyes rolled across and away from her mother, a sigh escaping from her lungs as she responded:

"Ma, I'm okay." Although she was a tough kid, she was no idiot. She knew that keeping her mother from checking her health would only burden her with stress, so she reluctantly picked up her forepaws and offered it to the Goldblood. Thankfully, there were no splinters that could be in sight, the only damage done to her paw pads were some light scraping and discoloration from extensive use.

Princess. Bryn hated the title but appreciated the honour it brought. She liked knowing her heritage meant something, she enjoyed knowing she had a place among ranks, but she hated the stereotypes associated with the very words. A young maiden graced with elegance, pristine beauty and fragility, many of her sisters had those traits but Bryn? No way. In her head she was no princess, she was a knight who aspired to be a queen and she was growing restless. Only four months old and she was growing at a shocking rate, she was already the size of a subadult domestic feline and the growing pains were only increasing as the days passed. There was no doubt that physically she was maturing at a much more rapid pace than her siblings, or anyone else she knew of. She was full of pent up energy, she was bored and absolutely miserable staying in camp. All had been checked out, all had been explored already and the tempting urge to exit camp was intensifying.

So many other clan members could come and go as they pleased - Levi for example. She hated being harsh, but the guy practically looked like a kitten due to his size and he probably weighed like one too. Why was he allowed outside the camp and not she? Maybe... Maybe she could change the rules a little, and even if she couldn't, maybe she could just leave really quickly and come back as if nothing ever happened, not caught and therefore never in trouble.

The best bet to do such a thing was at dusk where the sun was setting and the region all the more quiet, a perfect opportunity to take off without being noticed and as soon as Bryn saw a relatively unoccupied place she quickly scampered out of camp until the site was out of her view and finally she was within the true wild region that was Sunclan's territory. Just feeling herself cross the fictional line between camp and territory felt so incredibly rewarding, her heart pounded hard in her chest and her toes curled into the soil, a wide smile spreading across her maw as she looked around, kicking off into a gentle trot as she went off on a little stroll.

    //this is late oopsies

As the young Arcanium aged so did her mind and mental capacities. She had been delivered into this vast world crippled, deaf and blind, although large and relatively strong for a newborn, she was as helpless as any other infant. She came from nothing to something and as information was picked up by a developing brains, interpretations were made and now at four months there were things to discover, questions to ask and rules to break. Recent chatter of war and commune had been brought up through the clan, hushed mentions of Bloodclan and combat which caught the young aspiring fighter's ears. She had picked up so many vile comments about the clanners of the blood, why were Sunclanners so wary of them? Why did they sound so scary?

She knew the best person to ask was the leader himself, Suga, a male she better knew as 'faddy', or 'father-daddy'

When she spotted the familiar catsune, she walked on over to the Sunclan chieftain, raising an oversized paw to gently tap at his body in order to grasp his attention. "Faddy, can I ask you something?" her voice was light and rather gentle just in case if the man wasn't in the mood to speak for whatever reasons. he was a king, that came along with so many responsibilities, she wouldn't be offended if she was shrugged off or shooed away.
