PERSONALITY Shy, naive, and uncertain, he is weary of the world and his surroundings. As a kit he enjoys the security of familiar faces such as his mother and siblings, but finds it difficult to open up to anyone else. He grows to understand social interaction a bit better, but always carries his weight with a nervous demeanor and hesitancy in his words. In addition he speaks with a slight lisp, courtesy of the awkwardly protruding fangs that fall from his maw like miniature saber-tooth tusks.

Of his eventual understanding of the world, the aspect most at the forefront of his mind is to remain kind and helpful. There is no sense of schadenfreude within him, and seeing harm brings a sickened feeling in his stomach and the desire to erase it from his mind. His heart is full with caring but it is also made of glass, thin and fragile and far too easily broken. However no matter his trials he will stitch it back together, even if the result is a patchwork of pieces cut and sewn.

However the greatest difficulty he encounters is not necessarily overcoming his anxious disposition, though that is a source of trouble, but rather holding onto his belief to always do good in the world. He doesn’t always see rules as the best way to help others, and although the idea of getting into trouble terrifies him, he will still go against laws and orders to chase his own ideals. This is a constant duality within him; someone who finds only terror in trouble but seems to get into it all the same. It’s almost a curse, his sweet attitude tainted with the bitter misfortune of continued mistakes.

APPEARANCE He has gained most of his build from his mother, looking far more feline than kitsune-like. However his vulpine genes have extended his proportions slightly, giving him long slender legs and stretched ears and muzzle; the result is something akin to an oriental longhair. Along those lines he has a single tail at the base of his spine, but about halfway up the tail splits into two as though in the process of creating more. This forked tail has exceptionally fluffy fur.

His coloring is the spitting image of his father, thick chocolate fur flowing from his form in long swaths. The individual strands are delicate and light, with a near liquid movement as though made of molten chocolate pouring from his sides. His eyes are a raspberry pink, a tart addition to the sweetness of his pelt.

-In kithood he grows obsessed with climbing, to be high up with the birds; this leads to an eventual fall and subsequent fear of heights after permanent leg damage.

-Discovers he suffers from a form of vampirism from his demonic genes and is unsure of how to handle it, given that he doesn’t wish to harm anyone.

-Begins to study herbs and medicine as part of his desire to help and not harm; accidentally attacks a patient to feed.

-Seeks out Luca to help with his demonic traits.

-Wishes he had inherited Luca’s wings instead of his more demonic side; attempts to find a way to change this.

Dependable and caring, but the spaciest of space dorks. Split’s most present and upfront personality is absolute extroversion, completely proud of his talents and interested in sharing knowledge with those around him. In hindsight his habit of speaking bluntly may clash with his inability to read a room, leading to some rather unfortunate situations. Always clear about his love and loyalty, he falls hard and fast for any crush and is quite the romantic; although he always pictures himself as a princess being swept off his feet. “Shy” doesn’t seem to be an emotion in his repertoire, as he will happily confess to anyone who catches his eye. True, serious romance seems difficult for him to achieve, which means any real relationship is a great feet for him; which may lead to serious issue if his love were to be an enemy of his family, who is his other great love and where his heart’s loyalty deigns to rest.

As down-to-earth as Split is, he holds no grudges or ill will toward unrequited feelings and the like. He seems to have a strong grasp on the ideas of others being separate from his own, and often compares it to the fantastic phenomena of everyone having their own array of knowledge to learn from. Part of his inability to hide his feelings comes from his enjoyment of simply sharing them. He holds a boundless curiosity for the universe and the expanse of the unknown. Learning is always at the forefront of his mind, his favorite subject being the stars and the planets and all the mystery in between. To him each person is a planet in and of themselves, with their own views and places in the open sea of space. Each planet can see only their own orbit at their own pace, as many others will see only what they are best able to understand. This is a strong belief that grows within him and allows him to grow his patience toward others and his habit of looking at the world through someone else’s shoes whenever he can. He holds a great appreciation for knowledge of all types and enjoys exchanging information to broaden his own horizons.

Split’s love of the stars is backed by his love of all sciences and mathematics. As he grows he learns to create equations and dynamics from which to watch the night sky and predict the orbits and positions of celestial bodies. It is a hobby which he will sheepishly admit holds little advantage for his clan; and so in addition he uses his math prowess to attempt to invent smaller creations which have more use down on the earth. Though more often than not these inventions are agonizingly overcomplicated and entirely more trouble than they are worth. (But it is the thought that counts, after all, even if his attempt to invent the Roomba ends in a robot that goes in a straight line and immediately explodes upon running into something.)

Though behind all his confidence, Split is truly a kind soul who wishes only the best for others. It does not stop him from approaching life as a complete dork, but he is incredibly aware of his own actions and their place in the world. For this reason he hates dealing with conflict, although at the same time he sees it as ultimately necessary under many circumstances. He would prefer to see himself as a mediator, but he would soon throw himself on the frontlines of battle if necessary; especially if he views either side as innocent. Of course, despite his willingness to listen and fight for others, he prefers to keep his own worries all to himself. To open up about his insecurities feels like a hindrance to those he loves; something he can’t bring himself to consider.

Appearance:

A solid blue feline; he will insist that his color is referred to as blue and not grey, as he feels blue more perfectly represents the light reflected from the sky. Nothing about his fur length reflects his ragdoll genes, although its thick, plush texture surely does. His coat is as smooth as the calm surface of water, the opposite of his flirting attempts, and molds itself perfectly over build. His legs are hilariously long for his body, though hold a decent amount of muscle. This muscle mass easily dwindles if he spends too much time with his telescope, though he does his best to stay in shape in case of future battles. Luckily his tail is perfectly in proportion with his legs, although both together only further increase his desire to keep on muscle so as not to look like a mosquito.

His eyes are a pale green from afar, though up close it becomes clearer that there are small waves of blue that cut through the iris center and halos of yellow which frame the edges. They are a complex array of crystallized color, though he would love to describe them in the various wavelengths of light they emit. The only accessory Split wears is a small black cloak with a hood that hangs behind his back and two small, silver drawstrings on the front. He greatly enjoys pulling on his hood and tugging on the strings so that only his eyes can be seen from within the dark fabric.

Plots:

-As a kit, he is always asking to visit other clans with ambassadors to learn more about them. He loves to bring the things he learns back to his family.His first attempt at any type of invention is a makeshift telescope to look more closely at the stars. This jumpstarts his love for astronomy and his habit of creating more inventions to look at space.

-In his kithood he desires nothing more than to go to the moon. He is constantly staying up late to watch the moon and try to create a spaceship that will take him there; Split is a kit with dreams and confidence.

-Split goes through several small relationships, never quite amounting to anything but shaping his ideas of love.

-The Big Romance: Truly and completely falls for someone he just can’t seem to let go of; but they are entirely the wrong person for him, and he must learn to either give up when it’s good for him, or chase relentlessly to spit in the face of fate.

-Split constantly tries to create things to be helpful, but sometimes his inventions go horribly wrong. Each time someone is hurt by his attempts to help, he wonders if there is something deeply wrong with him.

-He is captured and tortured, losing his tail in the process. After returning and coming to terms with the experience, he builds himself a makeshift mechanical tail.
