TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — For as long as he could remember, Everett loved everything to do with life. He loved the trees and their leaves, the soft gentle flowers that had grown in his mothers' garden. There were the butterflies and the bees, so beautiful yet disliked by some people for no real apparent reason. He had always been the type of person to protect those who could not protect themselves- speak for those who could not have a voice for themselves. In such a way, Everett supposed he often thought more about his mouse friends than himself. He too often decided that other mattered more and that his own state meant nothing. After all, what point was there in taking care of himself when he could be taking care of others? He had his mice to worry about and his best friend, the lovely Pierce who cared more for him than anybody else did. It was a wonderful feeling. And, while Ev would never be able to admit that it felt good to be the one being watched over for a change, it did feel so much more fantastic than he ever thought it was.
And, while the tall ivory serval had begun to feel better about himself, there was still his love for science and his books that took up most of his thoughts. His mother had drilled in him a love for reading and for knowledge and while many a time the boy had considered that perhaps his understanding of dinos and such things was pointless, he had loved every moment of it. However, it was a recent event that had brought renewed interest to the angelic boy so often covered in dust and flicks of flower petals. Ah yes, the arrival of a certain group of raptors had sent into motion a track in Everett's mind that had not been used for a long time. He recalled when he had walked through the eras of the beasts in his dreams, pretending to be one of the long-legged brutes that used to walk the earth. And, while he was no fool to think that they were harmless, Ev had developed a protective and curious bone in his body for the creatures. Even though they differed greatly in size from his beloved mice, Everett knew that he had to find a way to understand them. To help them.
And he would do what it took.
So, after having acquired a great number of rabbits into a sack (caught by others, for he could never have killed them himself!), Everett had set out in search of the one whom had appeared to be alpha of the little grouping. A bloodied thing, the very sight bringing a feeling of disappointment to the boy. It was not until he heard a rustling in bushes that Ev would pause, lowering the bag to the ground beside him, eyes dropping just below where he believed the raptor to be. For a moment, he would hesitate, knowing well that there were not many whom would purposely search out the feral beasts, let along considering he had no powers of his own other than flower prints.Sucking in a breath, the serval would begin to chitter, hoping to present his presence without surprising the brute.
[ooc: awful start I'm so sorry omf xD

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — When Everett had been drawn over by the sound of voices, he had not be expecting to hear the words he had. Expecting? That meant having babies in another term right? Ya, ya he was pretty sure of that! With a wide grin, the ivory serval would offer a cheerful rumble. "Congrats you two!! I'm sure they'll be perfect!" the gardener would purr, emerald optics flickering towards Zahara. "Would ya like a flower crown miss? It would look lovely on you as a gift!"

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Even before she stepped fully into his view, Everett knew he had been followed. He had thought for a short time that perhaps he had stumbled upon the raptor in one of her rests but alas, Blue had proven yet again that she was more intelligent than anybody could ever imagine. Here Ev had thought he was being the pursuer when in reality, he had been the one being pursued. Hunted. Chased. He knew from his readings that raptors were a power hunter. And, paired with their intellect, they were a true predator to behold. They perhaps not as large as the larger dinosaurs or as scaled as others, but they were quick and veracious hunters able to bring down almost anything if given a pack to hunt with. In such a way, even a single raptor was a real danger, but a crew was a real war. True, an independent raptor was more likely attack with no alpha to control them, but could that even compare to the power that an alpha held over it's pack? No, no Ev figured not. It did not matter if he was faced by one raptor or all three, for Everett knew that in either case he would be torn to pieces if it came to tooth and nail. He was not a fighter, nor had he ever killed even a mouse, so what chance did he stand against a 300lbs beast? He was quick, he figured, but that meant nothing if he couldn't get up a tree in five seconds less he desire to be eaten.
And so, while the group of raptors had been daunting, it was something altogether new for Ev as he stood face to face with yet another one. He watched as she emerged, clawed hands itching beneath her and powerful legs quaking with muscle. For a moment, his body screamed at him to run but he remained fixed, keeping his cool aura knowing well that any sign of fear would send the beast into a frenzy. He was always passive, true, but such a situation was proving its' usefulness. Perhaps his submissive nature had kept him safe from the raptors. Or, perhaps they had simply been appeased by the small rabbit that he had provided. Whatever the case, Ev had felt a flicker of pleasure that he had handled the situation. Well, until Jersey showed up. But alas, the boy knew that he couldn't blame the guy from simply being who he was right? And so, Ev found himself relieved that at the current point in time it was just him in Blue so that if anything went wrong, he would be able to scale the tree without worrying about getting anybody else in danger.
This was not to say that he desired to control the raptors. Oh no. Instead, very much like his mice, he simply wished to understand them and help them; provide them with the aid they needed. In the case of the raptors, there were many who would dislike them, Ev knew already. There would be some who would want to control them, and the very thought brought a flicker of disgust to the boy. They were living creatures. Not weapons! And, even as he watched the beast swallow the rabbits, the serval couldn't help but wonder how somebody could do such a thing. "You are a beautiful creature." Everett would say softly, audible enough for the dino to hear, but knowing she would be unlikely to understand, specifically as she munched on her meal. "I've never seen such a pretty blue on one of you before..."

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — With the coming of the holidays, Everett was in a rather good mood. And why not? After all, Christmas was one of his favourite holidays, even if this year he would celebrating it away from his parents. Not that he minded, of course. He would still miss his mom, true enough, but he had more people to visit with, which was good! He had Pierce and his mice and Cannon and all of those lovely people which was great! And so, after dragging out a box of decorations, the boy had plopped down beside his garden where a large pine tree sat in the middle, branches beautiful in their green hues.
"Would anybody like to come decorate my tree with me?"

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — The moment he heard a large creature crashing through towards him, Everett would wince slightly, knowing well enough who would be on their way. And, despite the sense of immending doom that he predicted if his clanmates showed up, the boy wasn't really sad. Did the raptor like trees? Did any raptor like Christmas trees? Who knew! And, as he watched the raptor come towards him, Everett would dip his head slightly, showing his submission once more before allowing himself to observe her. And, despite himself, a smile would flicker over his features. She was... examining the box maybe? Maybe she thought it was food? It was not a moment later that the gardener would suddenly grow overcome by a sense of worry. What if she swallowed a christmas ball and joked?? Or worse yet, got lights all stuck in her digestive track or- no. Deciding that raptors surely ate weirdo things than decorations, the boy would continue to simply observe, surprise flickering over ivory features as he watched the dino suddenly begin to flail around, lights tied around her frame. "Shh it's okay, it's okay, girl! Do ya want some help with that?" the serval would ask, words soft, keeping his distance for now. He didn't know how he'd help but... might as well see if she understood the word "help" right? "Those right there aren't food!" Glancing upwards, the serval would give wide eyes to anybody who might be around and a tiny shake of his head, hoping that they'd know to not try and help.
Or freak out.

Make him suck on a candycane until it's sharp and then fall on it so that he stabs himself right in the heart with the candy dagger he just accidently made
