the thrum of war had always been something ethereal to slipstream. the shouts of the soldiers below, the crackling of the energy shield the autobots had deployed over their base. the half-heard firing of bullets into the chassis of both sides. she was above all of it, like one of the mighty primes, she flew to and fro, high above both sides, not too high so as to be in danger of being struck by the decepticon's heavy artillery, but not too low as to be easily targeted by the ground troops. she marveled at the autobots' strength despite the harrowing situation and the clear fate that they were in store for. all in all-- there would be no drinks passed around the table for them tonight.
she half listened to the screeching tone of her brother, wondering if anyone was following his orders, and zoomed off into the sky on her own. she always worked better solo, honestly. transforming midair, the seeker's gaze landed on the forms of four autobot soldiers crouched behind a walled area. with many of the seekers taking sides with decepticons, the sky was relatively clear. decepticon turncoats side flew in scattered formations, unsure as to how to combat the overwhelming armada of true seekers. if starscream had anything going for him in regards to command, the seekers were his best bet. they half-listened to him, unlike the rest of the decepticon army, who didn't listen at all.
the autobots she had spotted earlier huddled, fearful, behind some rubble. it was really too bad-- she assumed one, the big one almost as tall as megatron himself, would have been good mate material. oh well she mused to herself, before shooting downwards, thrusters at max power. she skidded to a halt twenty feet above them, and gave a wicked grin. " afternoon, boys! " she cried out to them, laughing maniacally. " i hate to say it, but this might be your last! " she felt the rocket launchers on her forearms heat momentarily, and then fire, smoke spraying out behind them.
the explosion was almost beautiful. in their destruction, as in anything's, they had erupted into bursts of flame. whether they were dead or not it did not matter, because as soon as she turned to fly off, the shield that had been stopping their attack burst into beautiful color. an explosion of living and nonliving matter packed her vision, and she audibly gasped. " sweet primus- that was. . . . that was, " she threw her hands up in the air, shrieking with delight. " awesome!! "
opposite of her reaction was her brother, of course, whose yelling and cursing filled the seeker's main communication channel. she muted it with an innocent blink and a giggle, before her personal COM line lit up with activity. the monotonous voice of soundwave was like some type of music to her ears, albeit a very boring type of music. she perked up at his command, and listened only because it wasn't starscream giving the order. " i'll meet you there, beatboy. " she hummed out, before transforming into her alt mode and zoomed off, unphased at the autobots she left to rust out on the battlefield.
it took only a minute or two before she landed with a graceful flip outside the spy master's current base of operations, it was rather shabby, in her opinion, but then again they were in an active war zone. perhaps he would let her do some. . . .redecorating sometime?
