"what are you doing fighting with another cat on thunderclan territory?" tigerpaw's fur is bristling, and his shoulder stings from where he'd nicked it on a thorn bush during his rush to hear what the commotion was about. inwardly, he was surprised that the loner had managed to fight off the other cat so easily: he didn't look weak by any means, but nor did the rogue. but that was beside the point, he reminds himself; tail lashing as he takes another step towards the loner.
'he can't be that bad if he just saved another cat...' he thinks hesitantly, but isn't quite convinced; he stands his ground.

tigerpaw- perhaps they could go hunting together/sparring/border patrol/training?

up to you <3

on the contrary, honeybreeze was small and lithe; while her fur was short and sleek. though she appreciated it for how quickly she dried and how easily she could slip into tight spaces, there was also the issue of how cold she got in leafbare and didn't possess much physical strength. 'we're opposites,' she mused, chancing a sideways glance at her clanmate.
as they approached the thunderclan border, the she-cat kept her ears pricked- for prey, or a thunderclan patrol, whichever came first. 'if either come at all...'
-
honeybreeze did scent something.
gesturing with her tail to the right, she dropped her body into a hunting crouch; stalking slowly but surely alongside the border, seeming to be heading for a bush a few fox-lengths away. when she'd reached it, she tensed her muscles and pounced, disappearing among the yellowing leaves... but when she returned, she held a hare in her jaws.
she padded over to morningdove and dropped the prey at her clanmate's paws with a purr. "it'll probably be all we bring back today, but it's better than nothing." despite her slightly depressing words, the smile on her face just grew. maybe prey was starting to return; the hare could almost be called plump.
-
though it wasn't hollytuft's name that was called, she came running at doestar's panicked cries, ducking inside the medicine den with her tail lashing nervously. what she saw stopped her in her tracks. nightgaze. splayed on the floor. passed out. nightgaze. deputy of riverclan. yet here she was, lying on the ground looking more vulnerable than a kit.
tearing her gaze away from the unconsious black she-cat, the warrior turned her attention towards the leader: with a respectful but shaky dip of her head, she opened her dry mouth to ask, "what can i do to help?"
-
honeybreeze responded by picking the hare up by the scruff once more and carefully carrying it back towards the bush where she had caught it; digging a hole in the loose dirt where the bush grew from the ground, she quickly buried the corpse before turning back to morningdove.
"i didn't want to leave it in plain sight, in case a hawk flew over and thought it'd be an easy meal," the ginger warrior explained cheerfully, pricking her ears in search of more prey.
-
honeybreeze, who'd been standing back and watching as morningdove searched for prey; frowned before padding forward and brushing her pelt against the she-cat's in a gesture of comfort.
"i don't think there's anything else out here, either," she whispered in a tone edged with nervousness- she didn't want to offend her clanmate, because of course morningdove was trained as a warrior too and could tell whether something was there or not. but she thought that maybe... agreeing would help.
"besides," she added, jerking her chin up at the sky, "it's starting to rain."
as if on cue, a bolt of lightning exploded across the sky, thunder rumbling from somewhere nearby.

did you ever make it, by the way?
-
"oh- oops."
the gray apprentice looked embarrassed, frozen in place after he'd stepped on a branch; he'd seen bluepaw leaving the camp before even the dawn patrol, and being awake himself, he'd decided it couldn't hurt to follow her. he was planning on surprising her (how, he wasn't yet sure)... but clearly that idea was shot.
"h-hah, hi bluepaw, i had no clue you were out..." he forces out with a nervous chuckle, refusing to meet her gaze, "i was just coming out to h-hunt... on my own... because i thought every cat was asleep... y-you know?"
ashpaw was a lot of things, but a good liar? not on the list.
