just a note about direct kin, for anyone who wants it for their forms (not required though)
featherpaw is a biological half sister and an adoptive full sister.
- their maternal grandparents are jack and marcie [both deceased].
- this makes their half aunts / uncles palemoon, wolfe, and runner [all deceased] as well as eleanor, who will be residing in windclan upon their birth.
- this also makes tigerscar / sheogorath of riverclan their cousin (through their half aunt palemoon).
- mintyblossom [former skyclan medicine cat, deceased] is rose's first cousin, making her the kittens second cousin.
- redsky and silvereyes [both former skyclan deputies] are great aunts to the kittens.
that's about it for direct relations for the kids, though there are more, it's just a little more messy (third cousins, etc.)

the deputy had been returning from a hunt, a trio of mice dangling from her jaws, when she saw nightstar up on the high rock, smiling. it'd been a good while since she'd seen that, after the miscarriage and featherpaw's leaving, and it brought a warm smile to her face, seeing her mate in a good mood.
"well, you certainly look happy." she called to him, dropping the mice on the fresh kill pile.

it was late. dark. the clan was settling in for bed and sweetrose was careful of her abdomen, a bit paranoid maybe, not wanting to bump into something and harm her children.
she beat nightstar into their den and gave a small stretch of her lengthy limbs, tounge rasping over her fur to smooth it down. she wasn't quite tired, and fancied she and nightstar could talk before they called it a night.

sweetrose gave a small chuckle at nightstar, and a dip of her head in thanks to mustangheart.
"i have a good feeling about this one. hopeful." she said quietly, though did give a small sigh. "i think i may have to... be mindful of my fighting, though. it's a little inconvenient, considering the war, but i'll find some wayto be useful."
