  • Cat fight [o, trial 1 - strength]

    Alright, this was it. Duskpaw felt a burst of nervousness and excitement, as he was getting so close to being a warrior he couldn't take it anymore. He knew that this would be the hardest trial for him, as he was a good hunter and runner, but he lacked strength and wasn't very good at fighting where he couldn't run around and slowly injure them until they can't take it anymore. And, he was fighting Pigeonpaw, who he didn't really want to hurt, who Duskpaw felt could guess what he was trying to do and easily counter it. But Duskpaw wouldn't let that get him down or discouraged, he would become a warrior no matter what. He was so close, so close!

    Duskpaw knew as soon as they landed that his plan failed, as the other dug into him and pushed him off with his claws. But, the second Duskpaw was free he tore off again, a bit slower from the pain and injures but still fast. He heard as the other fell, trying to jump at the Darkclanner's legs. Unfortuatly, Duskpaw was just too fast and past the spot when he jumped. Duskpaw turned around and tried to bite into the other's shoulder while gorging into the other's face and chest with his back feet, while the other was still down on the ground. He was hoping to both stop the tom from being able to use his arm or see through the blood, giving Duskpaw the advantage in the melee fight.

    no, but can we ask, like, shadowclan or bloodclan if we could borrow their med cat for a bit (and our new med cat can be trained during that time too). cause if not these wounds might get infected and someone might die of it after the fight. or a couple cats (realistically, of course)

    Duskpaw got clawed by the other's wild flailing, and easily pushed off, as he was physically weaker and lighter than the other. His stomach especially was clawed, and blood was flowing freely. He got up though, and looked down at the other apprentice, suddenly noticing the blood and wounds that were caused by him. Sure, he could attack again while the other was down and momentary blinded, but he couldn't bring himself to. Not with blood gushing out of the other's face and throat, with more wounds on his shoulder and side.


    He just stood there for a second, not sure what to do. A second later, he was decided. No cat will die because of him, even if they were a different clan. "Hey dude, let's stop." He said, a bit breathless from the pain and bloodloss but otherwise mostly fine. "Just...wait here. I'm going to get something." He said, before trying to exit the fight and run off towards the border, where he was going to gather some moss off the trees to soak up the other's blood. He didn't know the first thing about healing, but he was going to try.

    that sounds like a great idea! Yeah, my fav part about playing younger characters is that the future is so up in the air. Everything about them is so formative, something small can change the rest of their life and how they'll be as adults forever.


    Dusk is going to become dusksparks though, no matter if he becomes a warrior or medicine cat (mostly because he's going to get his name soon), as his original incarnation was Julyfireworks, my biggest muse and fav character back in like, 2011-13. I wanted to honor that connection, so fireworks = dusksparks (get it, cause they're sparks around dusktime).


    Man, i do miss playing july, he was so corrupt and damaged. but it's also good to play dusk, as I forgot how fun it is to play him before he got all evil, and how he truly was a good cat that just fell victim to a manipulative and evil cat, who twisted him to suit her own goals.

    Finally reaching the pine forests of DarkClan, Duskpaw now went out to search for some moss growing on the trees. Finding some - dried out and dusty, it would still work - he was about to run back when he saw a spider web. Just his luck! Balling it up and flicking the spider out, he put both in his mouth and ran back to the fight, hoping the Windclanner was still there. He just couldn't get the image of the other's throat being ripped open by his claws.


    Making his way back, he let out a sigh of relief when he saw the other was still there. Cautiously, he approached, not wanting the other to lash out and hurt him already more than the Darkclanner was hurt. "Alright I'm back. Just...I'm sorry?" He said, not sure what to say, mopping up what blood he could, before placing the spiderweb on the other's face and throat, as those seemed to be the worst. "You just were hurting my friend, and I couldn't have that." He tried to explain, knowing trying to defend fighting in a battle was a bit silly. Especially to the one he was fighting. After he put the cobwebs on, he realized that he had no clue what he should do next, no clue how to heal someone. "Is your medicine cat around? I would hate for those to get infected." He said, nodding towards the wounds. This was it. He stood awkwardly for a second, wondering if he should stay with the other for a moment more to make sure he was okay or join back into the fray again, as while he was hurting and injured, he could still help someone else out.

    cedar: yeah well i clawed your stomach and you didn't see me helping an enemy like an idiot


    i kinda do too, but i know as soon as dusk finds out how much cedar hates loners and stuff it'll destroy any relationship they might have

    Duskpaw couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief as the other stood up, apparently well enough to try and goad him on. But Duskpaw was still concerned over the health of the other. "I'm not going to fight you, you should really go find Bramblefoot." He tried to encourage. But the last thing the other said got to him a bit. Why did he care? "Well, we're all still cats, right? We all have the same goals and struggling with the same thing. Sure, you may be a stranger to me, but to someone else you're their best friend, their sibling, their child! Plus, I don't ever want to be responsible for anyone's death, enemy or not." Duskpaw stated, truthfully.

    well that's good for the ship, then that means they at least have a chance together. tbh, now that i think about it, dusk would totally be trying to get cedar to get over his prejudices and try to get him to see how stupid he's being with the whole thing.


    Ik how you mean, my fav character currently started when i was like, 'he values trust and loyalty above all else, hates everyone he doesn't know. that's it.', and he's just developed so much and i'm so proud of his growth and he's my absolute fav

    Duskpaw felt relieved when the other said he would go to his medicine cat and truly get healed. Better than what an almost-warrior who had no expirence in medicine besides the couple times he himself had been hurt, at the very least. But he did feel as if he had to defend his battle skills to the Windclanner, just so the other didn't get any wrong ideas. It wasn't hurting them a bit that was the problem, the problem was that the other was bleeding from his throat and looked half dead. "I know I'm going to hurt people in a battle! But you weren't just cut a bit, you were bleeding out of your throat and head! I thought you were going to actually die!" He exclaimed. "I mean, I managed to hold my own well enough against you." Duskpaw pointed out, not really meaning it as an insult but as simply stating a fact.

    ik, half the time they surprise me (i was not planning on dusk helping cedarpaw. he was supposed to just leave him and go back to fighting someone else. also another one of my characters invited someone into his home, before almost immediately turning around and burning that bridge to the ground), and im like, ilu guys so much

    I noticed that too, but didn't want to point that out. Like, others are trying to go for the kill and cats are double teaming other and everythings a mess and everyone's injured...and they're just over here chit chatting
