His first memories were of the cold. He knew the feeling of warmth for only a moment before he was torn from it. In the beginning there was heat, the feeling of warm furry bodies pressed against him and the smell of milk, the taste of milk even. But it's funny how fast his everything was ripped away from him, how fast he was left with nothing. Someone had taken him from his mother, from his siblings. They had taken him in the dead of winter, when the world had froze over and they had dropped him in the middle of that frozen wasteland, left him in the snow at the border of the westeros. Perhaps they were trying to give him a better life, or perhaps they just decided that they had too many mouths to feed already. He had no clue and he probably never would. Either way, he was here now. He had been found and taken in by Jaelynn, the head of the Mallister House, a creature who he saw as his mother. The creature who had abandoned him may have given birth to him but she did not raise him, she wasn't there for him in the way Jaelynn had been. She brought him out of the cold and back into the warmth. She may not have been related to him by actual blood but she was his mother for all he cared. The canine took a step out of the den he shared with his family, his ears shoved forward and his tail curled up like a huskies, the way he normally had it, despite how nervous he actually was he tried to appear confident as he waited for someone to approach him. This is how it worked right? Or maybe he should go and find someone to introduce himself to? Or would that seem strange?

physical description

— axel is a large creature, a coyote mixed with a dog. he has thick, almost curly, brown and white fur and big, velvety ears. his eyes are yellow, much like that of egg yolks. but you'll never catch him saying that. instead he likes to compare his eyes to that of the sun right before it sets, a soft pale yellow. his tail is thick and bushy but is perhaps the only indicator that he is a mix of something other than a coyote, as he walks around with it curled up like a husky would. — his second body is that of a hawk, a beautiful mottled brown and white creature with a large wingspan and deep, dark brown eyes. His beak is sharp and curved, able to slice through skin like butter, and his claws are equally as sharp, a force to be reckoned with. The end of his tail, true to his breed, is tinted with red, this body has been undiscovered [x]

It would be here and now that Axel would approach, he was just starting to get himself out there and he had heard from Jaelynn that the best way to do that would be to participate in the weekly tasks, since he wasn't very good at coming up with events to host himself and he wanted to be a more productive member of the clan "hey can I get one of those weekly tasks?" the chore would ask as he walked forward, taking a seat as he waited to hear what his assignment would be. The coyote wasn't too fond of the idea of a weekly task. It sounded a lot like a chore but as he heard the dragon give out more and more tasks the more and more he liked the idea of them. They were beginning to sound more like fun than tasks.

"It would seem so" Axel would say with a smile in response to his foster mothers remark. He was indeed feeling adventurous today, and although he wasn't much of a 'people person' he felt the need to at least put himself out there a little bit before he begun his training. His attention was shifted from Jaelynn to the two who had also approached "hey guys" he called out to the two, who seemed nervous for some odd reason.

A tour, that was what he hadn't been told to do so a tour he would give. He hadn't been around for long so he wasn't sure how well this would go but oh well, we shall see. "Yo, gather round if you want a tour" he called out to anyone who was within ear shot. Hopefully this wouldn't turn out to be a total disaster.

Axel's tail wagged as his group steadily grew. He figured a couple of people were enough to begin, and thankfully Jaelynn hadn't joined. She'd be able to answer any questions he couldn't and provide additional information if it was needed. But her presence also made him nervous. The child was eager to impress his mother, and hopefully in the days to come he would. He flashed a smile at her before answering the question directed at him "the tour will encompass the lands of my family" he informed her and the other who had walked up to be in the tour. "Are there any more questions before we begin?" He asked, yellow eyes glancing at each creature patiently waiting for a question, if there were any.

No, Axel hadn't been far at all, in fact he was only just outside of the stronghold in a training yard, practicing the battle moves he had learned a couple of days prior. He was just finishing up his exercise when a bird landed nearby. Axel's head tilted slightly to the side in curiosity. A meeting, huh? Well, of course he would attend. The canine trotted into the room and took a seat, dipping his head towards Jaelynn respectfully as he approached "Greetings" he said with a smile on his jaw, his tail wagging as he spoke. His tail, as usual, was curled up and resting on his back and his ears were forward as he waited for more of the family to show. The canine took a seat as he waited, but never took his golden eyes off his mother. She looked so elegant and he couldn't help but admire her. A lot of hard work had gone into restoring this house to greatness, and he knew how tirelessly she had worked to achieve the goal of making the house official again and to restoring their family name. There was still much to do but it could wait, he knew they would succeed at anything they put their minds to with her at their head.

Axel was mature for his age, but he was still young, still a child. So of course he wanted to play a game. He had only vaguely heard of it, and only recently had someone explained the premise of the game to him. So of course it was only natural that he wanted to play it. That, and his getting out of the den and interacting with the other members seemed to please his mother, and like always he was eager to impress. "Hey guys, who wants to play truth or dare with me?" He called out. His tail was wagging but his ears were pulled back a little, damn this was embarrassing. Most of the people here were adults, he realized. They probably had better things to do then play a game with a silly child such as him. How immature of him. But still, deep in his heart he hoped someone would join him. He had liked the idea when he had heard of it and he still liked it now, even after he had had these thoughts. Besides, he had seen a couple of other children here, afterall. Maybe one of them would be interrested in joining him. Now all there was left to do was wait until someone took interest and joined him so that he could start the game. He heard it still worked even if you only had one other person with you.
