Like Steve, Carnelian had been on this world for a very short amount of time, and had only had this form for a few days, so everything was very new to her. There were strange creatures all around her(though she didn't realize she was the strangest of them all) and she learned something new and fascinating every day. There were things flying in the sky and things the scurried on the ground, and the color of the sky changed from from blue to purple to black to pink to grey sometimes as well. But never, at least not until now, had organic life talked to her.

A small, startled sound escaped her and she turned to look at Steve, all four eyes wide. He looked at lot like Tiger Eye, and she smiled at the thought of one of her halves. It was amazing how similar they looked but how different they were. Organic life is strange. They can't even fuse. She thought to herself. But also amazing. Everything on Earth is seemingly so wonderful. After a moment, she realized she should respond. "Hello! I didn't think there were still any inhabitants." she called back, voice smooth and polite. "Are there always just giant rocks floating around on Earth, or is this not normal?"

It was the same day that Cornelian had joined and she was feeling quite overwhelmed. While walking around on her own, she was able to take in everything at her own pace, nice and slow. Not only that, but there were no civilized Earth creatures trying to talk to her or giving her strange looks as she walked through the camp. When Cornelian was alone, she forgot that she had four eyes and that she wasn't the same species as everyone else. Sometimes, she even forgot that she was a fusion. When she was alone, Tiger and Agate could just enjoy being together with no interruptions. Yet, they both knew that if they wanted to become part of Earth's way and shake off the crushing home-sickness that weighed on them, they'd have to stay. Knowing this hurt, and the two took comfort in being Cornelian.

She sat by a small stream, humming to herself. Occasionally, she would dip a large paw into the water and splash around her reflection, smiling softly. Cornelian had decided to keep the fact that she was a fusion a secret, this way it made the bond between the two stronger and the idea that she was now one person even more real. The two looked good together, anyways. She splashed again, chuckling softly. Water was one of the many mysteries of Earth to Cornelian, there was none of it on Homeworld(at least, not that she'd seen). It tickled her paw and matted her fur to her skin, and it was easy to play in. The large tiger had decided that water was one of her favorite things about Earth, besides the ever-changing sky.

The girl smiled at his confusion, as it matched her own. She was right, this place wasn't normal after all! Lightly taping her paw, she took another look around. "Maybe a leftover result of the gem war," she hummed quietly to herself. No organic life could've done this, it had to be gem-made.

At his statement about her size, he soft smile fell and she blinked in confusion. She was half Tiger Eye, but a feeling in her chest told her that wasn't what he was referring to, as he obviously had no idea what gems were. Opting to keep her fusion status a secret she said, "I'm not a Tiger Eye gem... I'm Cornelian. Or is this 'Tiger' something other than a gem?" The girl's confusion was clear, and she bashfully looked at the ground, avoiding eye contact. Compared to everyone else, she must look so stupid and naive. "I'm so sorry, I'm new to Earth, I don't know much."

Before the other male, Steve, could answer her question about tigers, another approached with a friendly and warm smile. She smiled softly, nodding at his question. "Yes. I'm from Homeworld. I'm a gem." Cornelian motioned towards the gem on her forehead and right shoulder before continuing. "My gems produce a... hologram type thing, but instead of light, it's mass. They're also my life source, I'm..." she realized she couldn't say she was only a few days old, and she couldn't say she was two ages at once, or else that would confuse them further. After a pause, she managed to say "well, each gem is thousands of years old. I don't remember my age exactly."

When he introduced himself, Cornelian offered a wide smile. "Pierce Parker? That's a very nice name," she complimented, voice filled with wonder "Well I guess I'm staying in... what did you call it, BlizzardClan? For a while. Our- uh, my... my ship broke."

(short post bc she explained what a gem was in the post moments before you posted)

The girl kept her wide smile but the confusion was clear in each of her four eyes in once again. "A... kaht? C-cat? My apologies, I have no idea what you're talking about," she explained bashfully, trying to avoid eye contact out of embarrassment. He made it seem so obvious!

Instead of looking at Steve, she opted to look at Dante instead, nodding in agreement. "You're new too, huh? I'm Cornelian. I do plan on staying, I find this place fascinating. And oh, my ship is beyond repair." Not that the diamonds would notice... or care. At least I won't be in trouble.

    ah, you're welcome!

Larger than a tiger? Was that a good thing? Were tigers very big, or average? On Homeworld, big was good. Size didn't necessarily make you climb the social hierarchy, but among your own being bigger simply meant that you formed and came out better. But was it the same on Earth? Was bigger better or was she an ugly sore thumb? Cornelian started to realize how much bigger she was compared to everyone else, how she seemingly looked down on (almost) everyone. She frowned deeply, looking at her form with squinted eyes. Why did fusions have to be so... large? Both Agate and Tiger were only a foot tall, but they combined to such a huge form.

The gem was knocked out of her thoughts when Malkyn started to shape shift. Suddenly, all thoughts of her height left her mind and her frown shifted to a slack jawed, pleasantly surprised expression. "You organics can do that too?" she asked out of shock, looking at what she had been told was a tiger. Quickly, though, she regained her composure, stopping her slightly rude outburst. "Sorry. There's nothing wrong with organics," she apologized, her voice smooth and polite. "I was just always told you guys couldn't do stuff like that... and I guess I do look like a tiger, huh?"

so are you up for the au?

Cornelian wasn't very scared of heights. By themselves, gems are able to jump and lift objects typical organics couldn't, but as a fusion, she could leap extra far and high. This way, when going up and down the stairs of the floating islands, the tigress could jump about 3-5 stairs at a time. It might also be because they'd spent most of their individual lives floating aimlessly around space and the concept of height was taking time to get used to again. Whatever it was, all Cornelian knew was that she could bound across the bridges to and fro with no fear.

Seeing one of the only people she knew, Malkyn, the gem bounded over to see what was up and ask how her day was. Yet, by the time Cornelian was next to Malkyn, it seemed so many people had gathered over to say hello. All four of her eyes blinked in surprise and she waited politely for everyone to finish so she could introduce herself. So many people made her slightly nervous, but not enough to inhibit her from having fun.

Yet, before Cornelian can say anything about herself, it seems that her friend, Malkyn, had gone animalistic. Like said, she back up slightly, fur standing up in alarm. But as soon as the hell hound went to attack Halo, the gem yelled out and lunged forward. "HEY!" The red gem on her forehead and the gem on her shoulder started to glow and, mid leap, gauntlets were on her front paws (she refrained from using her spiked ones as they were only used during offence, not defense). She aimed to land on Malkyn's side and knock her over, or at least off course(the gauntlets would increase the impact), then quickly jump back and get out of the way. She didn't want to fight, not until Malkyn swung at her. If Malkyn got any closer to Halo, the gem wouldn't hesitate to step in between the two.

The girl laughed lightly at Steve's reaction to Malkyn's shape-shifting, that having answered her question. He was very strange and funny to her, because he always seemed to have a reaction to everything, and while she could relate to his constant confusion and shock, his reactions were very blown up and animated in a way that made it funny. "I think that answers my question of if every Earth form can shape-shift, huh?" she hummed with light amusement. When his attention was back on her, she shrugged, all four of her eyes looking at the ground as she tried to think of an answer before looking back up at him. "All gems are... made ready, pop out completely grown and already knowing what they need to do. Homeworld thinks that all organic life, organics, are weak," she explained slowly. "So, I guess it is an insult."

    sure! can you make?

On Homeworld, there were many paintings and murals and portraits all around, but they were only of the diamonds, the three, once four, main authorities over Homeworld. This portrayed having a painting of you done to be the highest of respects. So to be painted seemed flattering, and as a common gem, especially a fusion, Cornelian felt like she didn't deserve it. For thousands of years, this mentality had been wired into the gem's system, to feel lower than those above them, to be dust compared to the diamonds.

But Earth was new, full of possibilities and can set you free, if you let it. This being so, Cornelian strolled over, orange fur bright and rich with the lighting the day provided, both the gem on her shoulder and the gem on her forehead reflecting the sun's rays. She stood tall and strong with a light smile on her maw. Earth and it's weather was truly was liberating. "May I join this painting?" she asked Pierce as she came up behind him, four eyes moving from the serval to the piece so far.

    alright, that sounds great!
