//tl;dr on the 7th post, nayomi is pushed into the cold water by micha and gets v v angry

Nayomi was examining the territory of her new home, knowing that she was more than likely going to be hanging around for a while. Her lean legs carried her around effortlessly, from root to root of the jungle, to branch to branch of the trees. She only stopped to look where she was going and mentally mark the area before carrying on. Nayomi sauntered through the tree houses and jumped over little streams. The swinging bridges made her heart beat faster and she didn't want to imagine what it would be like to fall in the cold water. The sights were breath taking, and Nayomi just wished she was able to look at them without being so... distracted. With every person she passed, she got tense and alert. She constantly felt like she had something to prove, something to show for herself. Her walk was smooth, her piercing yellow eyes dared anyone to come close without even trying.

The tigress had reached the river and stopped for a moment. There were about six other ShadowClanners gathered around, some drinking by themselves, some chatting with their friends. There was a kid even dipping a paw in the water to test the temperature. Nayomi held her head high, observing them quietly, striped tail swishing side to side behind her. So many new faces, people she didn't know. It almost made her anxious... almost. Even if she was anxious, fear was weak. The tigress wasn't weak.

Nayomi dipped head and began to drink.

micah. is it okay if after she falls in the water i open the thread to have everyone else's reactions to it?

it's done! i tagged you in it

It seemed like the tigress was ready to smack the hell out of Ramsay when another approached, just in time to save the drunkard's hide. But with what came out of Grady's mouth, he'd better be ready to save his own rear end as well. The woman squinted her sharp eyes at the mix, slightly frowning. She knew damn well he was joking, but her instincts kicked in to defend her fake pride at all cost, like she she would've in the gang. "Well, I wouldn't have trespassed if I knew there would be smartass hillbilly's here to state the obvious," she shot back, raising a fictional eyebrow. Her tail was lashing angrily behind her, but it didn't seem like she was going to tear into him like she was to Ramsay. It was a different kind of mad, about as close to teasing as she could get.

At the serious question, Nayomi thought for a moment, debating whether she wanted to stay, but it wasn't a hard choice. "My name is Nayomi, no surname. I'm here because-" I'm empty inside. I'm bitter and lonely and I don't know what to do or how call out for help and I'm hoping one of your ranks stop what I've done to myself. Nayomi would've said that if she could, and she really did try, but before she knew it words that didn't feel like her own were spilling out. "-I just decided I'd be able to be better with a group. Stronger." The red tigress had, by this point, diverted her gaze to a tree behind Grady, yellow eyes casually looking around the jungle.

Nayomi smiled softly as the cool water went down her throat, breathing in a refreshing breath. Of course, she didn't want anyone to see her smile, so she kept her head low as she soaked in how calm it was, the wiped the expression clean off her face before lifting her head out of the water. Nayomi looked into the reflection of herself, seeing her stern and detached expression. It was a sour sight to see, but it's what she was going for and there was no time to throw herself a pity party. Instead, she looked around and saw that the boy who was previously dipping his paw in the water was hobbling over her way. Nayomi tensed up, a light frown finding its way to her face. She used to love kids, but now she couldn't stand them because they were too emotional and weak, like the tigress used to be. At least, that's what she constantly told herself.

Nayomi furrowed her non-existent eyebrows, and sharp yellow eyes showed just little specks of playfulness. If one didn't look close enough, they might think she was serious as huffed at Grady. "Oh, I know the difference between up and down, and I'm about ready to smack your southerner ass both ways," she threatened sharply, looking at him for another long moment, almost daringly, before turning to address Ramsay. His comment about saying she wanted to join 'in the first place' was just too stupid to bother with, and the woman only replied by thrashing her tail behind her dismissively. She turned to Luca, nodding in greeting. "Nayomi."

Nayomi looked past the three who had gathered, looking around. "Where can I go to sleep and be alone?" she asked, only seeing jungle. They had to have some sort of base and shelter, right? Even her old gang did.

//i don't really know how to reply to this because there's not much to go off of but yeah, you can push her now!

//maybe elsa can scare her and nayomi could kinda lowkey attack her out of fear and that's when she gets frozen

Nayomi was out hunting, something she was exceptionally amazing at. She was leaping silently from tree to tree, branch to branch, looking around the ground for big game. Her eyes were sharp and she was able to focus on the ground and where she was going. The red tiger was unfamiliar with the terrain, so she didn't know which types of animals lived where, so she was just hoping for anything really. It would be nice to have the challenge had brain and muscles strained for, but she was just honestly hungry. But a side effect of being fresh out of a gang that liked to get in trouble and hunting in an unfamiliar area was that she was on completely red alert. She could hear every sound around her, and she was ready for any quick moments. She was tense, ready to attack anything that came after her, looking around like she was somehow being watched.

Nayomi decided to get to the ground for a better view, and started to jump down branch to branch. She landed gracefully and almost silently on the ground below. The tigress looked around, hackles raised in alertness and tail swishing behind her. She sniffed the air, getting nothing but the typical ShadowClan scent. She was upwind of Elsa, so she had no idea that the other woman was there. Instead, she looked around, hoping to find tracks or droppings.

//it's fine! opening up the thread now :]

Nayomi had been awfully confused as to why the boy had just stopped in his tracks and sat down for no reason. But it wasn't her problem really, and it meant that he wasn't coming to say hi and she was pretty fine with that. She went back to looking at all the other people, socializing and enjoying the weather and the water. It was a nice sight to see, and Nayomi was pretty content just looking at it all. It wasn't like the gang at all, there were no insults being thrown and spars just breaking out at random. Going back to drink the water, Nayomi felt at slight ease, like for a second everything was, even if just for a second, alrig-

With a big splash, Nayomi fell into the ice cold water. She tried to breathe in but it was too late and suddenly water was shooting up her nose. The tigress started to sputter hopelessly, coughing up water as she just barely stood up. She was standing on her back legs and still struggling because the water was just that deep where she happened to be psuhed in. Nayomi was shivering from the cold and coughing up a storm, it was just painful and uncomfortable. When she was finally able to breathe, Nayomi began to look around in rage. "Are you kidding me? How many of you dirty bastards are going to run into me during my first few days here?" she exclaimed angrily, letting out another painful cough. "If I get sick, they'll have to pull the body of whoever did this out of the bottom of this river," she growled lowly, her eyes having shifted from their sharp yellow to a red hue in anger(a trait that she guessed ran in her family). Nayomi couldn't stay intimidating for long, though, as she began to cough again, causing another fit of splashing to try and stay up.

omg omg i love her so much

i just wanna point out that both of these two idiots are afraid of emotions so they mask them, it's just nayomi uses anger

i don't wanna go straight for romance but i have a plot?

they kinda know what the other is feeling but are too afraid to approach i guess, but yomi catches lua without her mask. for some reason she wants to make the lua feel better so she offers to make a mask with her, and yomi decides to wear it around a bit, maybe because she wants to make lua feel less isolated or she knows the symbolism behind it? later on, lua find's nayomi having one of her Weekly Cries™ and they end up opening up to each other?

idk, i just thought it would be really cool.

Nayomi turned to Galleonpaw, red eyes sharp and angry. "I would, really, if I wasn't too busy-" she interrupted herself with another large cough before continuing her sentence. "heaving my damn lungs out." The woman slowly began to make her way out of the water, the cold making her feel like she could barely move because her limbs were so stiff. She was so tense and was just regaining the breath that had been knocked out of her. Finally, after a lot of awkward shufflinging through the water, Nayomi pulled herself out of the water and glared at those who had gathered. "You all try being in that cold water all of the sudden..." she huffed, trying not to let them know how actually affected she was by this. What kind of strong person was Nayomi if she was actually hurt from being pushed into the water? That would be stupid and weak.

After shaking her to get as much water off as possible (not really caring that it got on other people), the red tigress looked around for the person who pushed her. She ready to give them a mouthful to know not to do that ever again... that was, until she heard Luca's voice. 'Micah ran into her, by the looks of it.' Suddenly, Nayomi was conflicted, and she turned to see the young boy hiding behind Galleon and shaking like a leaf. He looked so scared of her, and despite that being what she was going for she felt the anger slowly drain. Her eyes shifted back to their normal yellow hue and Nayomi just stood there for a second. "Watch where you're going next time," she huffed, tail thrashing behind her. She didn't want anyone to know that just because it was a kid she wasn't angry anymore. Nayomi couldn't look anymore and turned to leave. "I'm going to dry off. Nobody follow me."

Nayomi was fairly new, both to ShadowClan and to the who clan system in general. It was kind of like gangs, except bigger and way more serious. She didn't know all of the scents and names of all the other clans, and she didn't know the history or behaviors of them either. All the woman knew was that there were a lot of them and that not all of them were cool with each other, which wasn't much to go off of. So when the red tiger walked up to the scene, she had no idea who Yuri was and if they were on good terms with him or whatever he came from. "Wait, what the hell's happening?" she asked, sharp yellow eyes narrowed in confusion. She sat down a few feet away from Luca, alert. There seemed to be a bit of tension. "All I know is this guy-" she jutted her chin to Yuri, "Wants Sango, and there's a new leader in town? Am I right?"
