corroding iron eyes — dented titanium demise

leviathan wasn't entirely shocked by the peculiar meeting when he strode in, his half lidded tired storm eyes locking onto the slumbering figure of suga while the short flame regent let out a small snort of false annoyance. yet, at least his father had recorded all the announcements beforehands so he supposed it wasn't as bad. upon hearing all the announcements, levi let out a small yawn crack open his jaws. he was exhausted but he knew there wasn't a goldenblood for warfare which had been his previous job so he was the only one with actual experience for that sort of stuff. "gotcha..." he explained as the muscular male rose to his feet and head off to prepare. he needed a cup of his rare tea or he would go insane with all the shit he had to do. oh well it kept his busy that was for sure.

alcohol had been something leviathan would see but never really experience. like death, he would see it daily in his old home in the landfill slums, the stumbling rugged bodies of criminals calling out in slurred phrases. some wanted to fight. others want to sing. others wanted another drink. he remember seeing their disgusting jaws part out curse words and odd phrases which had clung to his young mind and basically stuck with him. had leviathan not lived up in such a violent environment that dripped with corruption, would he be a different perspective of who he was? he was known for having a foul mouth and no filter, his mouth spewing out the same curses that he had learned from observation though levi had never said it when in a drunken state because well...he had never really gotten drunk. he had tried his first alcoholic drink when hexane had set up a bar but it had been a sweet-tasting rather mild beverage, nothing really strong.

his hooded metallic gray eyes were staring straight in front of him, towards the direction of his bedroom when the call of someone questioning if anybody wanted to hear him sing a song in spanish. his fictional eyebrows furrowed and leviathan's sensitive smoky ears slightly drew back as the muscular japanese bobtail halted from his walk to turn his attention towards the shouting clumsy figure of babyblue with a slightly irritated expression molding itself over his usually stone-faced look. "thea, don't throw fireballs at clanmates. and babyblue, it's fucking night time and some of us want to sleep." levi flatly stated towards the two other sunclanners as the broad shouldered flame regent halted beside the dragon and stared with an unwavering stare towards babyblue. fucking hell, how much did the male drink? he wrinkled his dark nose at the thick stench of alcohol but remained rooted to his spot.

leviathan had always been one to be an early bird though it annoyed him. he didn't like that he hardly got any sleep as well as being one of the few to rise up when a single ray of sun flashed out from the inky darkness of the night. the tired lean japanese bobtail would slip through the chilly morning with his mind already warping around what to do. eat and drink a warm cup of tea, check up on the weaponry, make sure no one had left disgusting ass trash at the solar city, self-training, and patrolling. his jaws slightly parted in a soft small yawn as he begun doing his daily chores, his ruffled bedhead fur slowly sinking back to his usually sleek form while the flame regent allowed time to slip by. yet, as time passed the silver eyed prince would notice that throughout the crowds, jerseyboy was nowhere near in sight. he wasn't very familiar or incredibly close to the tuxedo warden but the bobtail had always been one to keep track of clanmates, especially with the paranoia of one of them being snatched away by bloodclan.

just as he stepped out from his office after writing down his plan for warfare training he had been assigned to, the short vampire noticed the looming figure of sugaredsun lead out a patrol with a bit of urgency. so he had decided to follow alongside some of his other clanmates with his velvety ears pricked and his usually half-lidded bored expression turning to one of focused concentration. once reaching the scene where the crime had unfolded itself to present it's evidence, levi's upper lip slightly curled to expose ivory white fangs. bloodclan had taken jerseyboy? weren't they allies with blizzardclan? if they tortured jerseyboy, would that lead to conflict between the three clans? his mind was swallowed by the possibilities of the outcomes yet the bobtail murmured "if he isn't back the next day, i'd suggest a raid but for now, i guess we should just wait..." he agreed with his father but levi wasn't exactly the most patient went it came to being concerned of his clanmates' lives and wellbeing.

social interaction was an alien subject to leviathan that he desired to succeed at but always ended up sinking back into his shell of introverted behavior. it was difficult for someone of a rough background that had molded him to be standoffish and stoic to break open his emotions in front of a public crowd, even so leviathan attempted to show a fraction of whatever inner feeling sparked inside him. for now, he just felt slight irritation due to rugged weather of autumn slowly turning into winter but he focused on the task of greeting when arizona alongside littlestar came. "no problem and glad to know you're comi-!" the flat civil response was cut off to a small grunt of shock when the short lean prince suddenly felt a gentle impact of a creature that was tinier than him. his piercing silver eyes widened as the stormy eyed japanese bobtail's upper lip curled to expose his ivories in a warning manner but noticed it was just a child. he blinked twice, slightly shocked that technokit only desired to hug him since levi was always used to being attacked, on edge due to the constant war that roared between bloodclan and sunclan.

"uh..hey. name's levi. nice meeting you, tech." leviathan muttered awkwardly with his stiff figure finally going to the normal sitting position since the surprise hug from littlestar's kid had slightly unbalanced him. the lean male supposed he should be used to younger kids due to there being plenty in sunclan, including his siblings as well as his own two adoptive kids. his iron colored gaze flickered away from the clinging child on his flank to the one that approached yet she seemed quiet and simply hung to littlestar's side. a fictional eyebrow quirked upwards as he realized that these two might be the children of the hawkclan leader since her stomach didn't appear as swollen. "by the way, congrats with the whole birth thing." levi added with a small nod though he clearly wasn't sure what to say in situations like that. luckily, his attention was captured by ravelights when he came up and greeted with a title. a guard, huh? should he have introduced his own titles when greeting? the bobtail guess it was the usual thing to do but the male wasn't very talkative about his titles since they weren't important. "nice meeting you, ravelights. name's leviathan but you can just call me levi." he explained with a light nod though he remained rather rigid so technokit would not fall off in any dangerous way. last thing he wanted was to accidentally drop a kid on their head.

crowds. perhaps one if the most irritating things he despised especially when he was lower than most bodies. he would tend to stumble due to multiple bumping shoulders and even be almost trampled was it not that he would bark out to get out of the way. most would listen especially when they realized the scowling dark male was the flame regent. he supposed it wasn't very hard to figure out since he was the only japanese bobtail beside his adoptive sister but werifesteria was hardly around and he was the only one in sunclan with piercing silver eyes. the former thug was currently pulling himself out of a tight knot of allies and clanmates, squeezing out with a sigh of relief.

as the muscular outline of the prince finally got to sit down on the curb of the street, he glanced down his silver tie and let out a small hissing "fuck" when he noticed that it now carried a dark red splotch on it. someone must have been foolishly drinking and spilled some of their wine on him without noticing. "fucking rude..." he muttered through gritted teeth as he tugged off the tie and conjured it away to his room for him to wash later. he was pretty tired and wanted to just make sure to pick up the leftover trash so he remained seated by himself until at the corner of his eye, he noticed another dark figure stumbled into the middle of the street, his hooded iron gaze narrowing as the lean flame regent trying to figure out before the orange eyes and bow immediately caused a name to pop inside his head. "witch?" he called out as he rose to his charcoal colored paws and trotted towards the paladin trainee who looked quite shaken up. halting in front of him, the prince questioned "you alright? did something happen?" he knew parties had the risk of having things get out of hand so worry faintly traced his words though he kept the same indifferent expression.

was it wrong to always expect the worst? to wake up everyday thinking with every exhale, there was a possibility he would die? that his loved ones would be stripped away from him without having the ability to lift a paw to help? it was difficult to show behind his statue like expression on the mindset that had been molded into how levi thought. his thoughts were clouded even more with the responsibility of everything he was placed up on the pedestal to do. he was a prince. a flame regent. one of the few who had ever received the helion title without being flame regent at that moment. but before all that, he had been a thug. a criminal. a streetrat that no one desired or wished to mingle with. a nobody from nowhere. no one who had met leviathan had ever found out about his history or what past events had created the brooding vampire. no one knew that every day, leviathan was ready to see the world fall to it's knees and die.

but there were a few fragments of silver linings that leviathan would spot through cloudy murky days where he would think of how odd it was to live in such a bright optimistic lifestyle. he was uncomfortable with saying things such as "i'll do this tomorrow" when he never really saw a tomorrow to believe in. what if he died? would that task ever be completed? but the more he lingered to his clanmates and his close relationships, the more hopefulness he had that things would be okay. he could make dates on when he would spend time with his own adoptive children or own adoptive siblings. he was able to not mind putting some assignments aside for the next day that he could focus on. leviathan had been so glued to the present that he never really understood how anyone could look so far into the future when they spoke about weddings or other important events. he supposed it was because they carried more optimism and levi's mind was lined with pessimistic outlooks which could be the reason why he didn't seem entirely too phased when situations swerved south and scenarios became bitterly sour. but when it came to the safety of the individuals he cared so deeply about, leviathan no longer remained cool and logical. he became erratic. suspicious. paranoid.

the short figure had been slipping past the thick vegetation that lined the outskirts of sunclan territory, his forest mint green cloak covering his muscular figure and hiding the short pompeii swords he always carried. the twin weapons softly bumped and tapped gently against his flanks as the japanese bobtail glanced warily up at the sky to notice that he had luckily returned from a brief travel from hawkclan after the whole sun festival announcement, his tired aching muscles burning due to lactic acid from all the walking he had done. three clan travels but levi knew that it was better to get shit done himself than wait for others besides the journeys always allowed time to himself alongside silence. the dark vampire always carried weaponry especially with the uncomfortable sensation that a bloodclanner would lunge out from the shadows at any given second and attack him or perhaps even some rouges that were looking for trouble. so he kept a steady pace with his hooded tired titanium eyes locked forward. until a scent caused him to stumble to a halt. bloodclan. the instant thought was it was fucking buckingham trying to take another innocent life from sunclan but as the male quickly began to trail after the scent, not a single drop of blood caught his attention. perhaps a capture?

then the scent of werifesteria came in and his calm eyes snapped open as if he had been struck by lightning with his pitch black fur bristling. the cloaked flame regent's breath hitched inside his throat and his pace instantly began to quicken to a high speed sprint, his heart racing from the sudden rush of adrenaline as well as horror of werifesteria being taken. eden had been taken, he couldn't risk that with another sister of his. as he skidded around the corner of where the fox began to take the smaller japanese bobtail away, leviathan remained dead silent with his teeth gritted as he allowed himself to rush forward, unsheathing one pompeii sword and aiming to sink it into the throat of the fox. when he noticed the shocked fox let out a yelp of shock, he was thankful it had dropped werifesteria due to it's parted jaws. spinning around, he unsheathed his other short sword and aimed to sink it into the other side of the fox's throat which caused the vixen to gurgle on it's own blood before stumbling to the floor. but levi was not done yet. he stared down with flaring nostrils, wisps of frost and embers coming out of his jaws as he sunk his claws onto the eye sockets of the fox, dragging them to blind the creature. "you sick bastard. you fucking disgusting piece of filth." snarled softly levi, his iron eyes narrowed with focus as he ignored the blood that splattered his cloaked form before he finally saw the last twitch of the body end and levi stepped back, upper lip curled in disdain before he turned towards werifesteria. the sinister cold emotionless expression slowly faded away to warm worry as the male took a step towards his younger sister while questioning urgently "did he hurt you? are you okay? what happened?"

it seemed the situation was suddenly becoming incredibly tense and littered with biting remarks from both sides, the cool evening air that hung to sunclan's territory now sparking with pressuring stiffness. when his adoptive son first came, the short flame regent hardly seemed to be affected by the sharp vulgar questioning that held no filter. he actually felt rather prideful of it since it slightly reminded him of when the prince had been in younger phases. however, he knew that some clanmates as well as allies that held higher standards were not used to the spitting venom that both dark colored toms had. the corners of his muzzle gently twitched upwards in a microscopic ghost of a smile out of amusement though before he managed to explain who witchlight was, b.b. had decided to jump to the conclusion that the feminine blizzardclanner was trying to bubble up a fight. leviathan let out a small exasperated sigh escape his jaws at the inquiry but was aware that selkirk rex was prone to ruffling up feathers, not that he could blame him. something about the rough-edged demanor of his son seemed to have not been birthed but trained on, as if some bad blood history had tainted the child to view the world in a suspicious way of perspective. and who did that remind him of? yet, levi supposed that blackbean was still quite fresh to the whole clans with allies subject that the spiky daredevil was unaware of witchlight being from an ally clan for the party.

it seemed he was getting cut off a lot but he decided to remain silent when witchlight's stuttering voice explained to his son that he wasn't looking for a fight but instead, was meaning to give him a present. this caused leviathan's hooded thuggish silver eyes to widen with his fictional eyebrows quirking upwards in a perplexed expression. a present? he had never really gotten a present before except for sarangerel. he remembered that sugaredsun's consort wife had returned from her travels to offer him a wooden figurine which was in his desk out of memory since he was rather amazed someone would offer him a gift. growing up in a rough scruffy childhood, he had never really had the opportunity to be showered by attention or presents. even now that he was a prince as well as deputy, the japanese bobtail had never really allowed himself to become spoiled rotten so such little moments when someone stated they had something for levi that wasn't work, always startled him. blinking twice, levi began to question "really? why did yo-" then came angeldust.

his attention always got captured by their presence so his eyes briefly flickered towards them, locking for a lingering moment. the kitsune seemed quite friendly and amiable by explaining to his son that witchlight didn't mean no harm but things began to turn sour, static now showing clearly to levi. he was familiar with this way of behavior of passive aggressiveness yet it seemed confusing onto why angeldust was saying such icy comments to the paladin trainee. his stormy eyes narrowed and levi began to step between the two, his attention focused mainly onto angeldust after the comment about the two dates, slightly offended that he had been placed under that type of light. "what the fuck, angel? why would i have two dates? witch is a blizzardclanner, a damn ally to our clan and he can be here whenever he pleases." his usually monotone voice was now carrying a heated warning tone, his velvety ears slowly drawing back in a defensive manner as he glared up towards the kitsune. he wasn't really one to be harsh or rude to them but he didn't want to show that he would allow behavior like this to be seen by an ally - especially by witchlight. his hardened stoic glare showed a flickering fragment of innocent confusion that read as "why are you acting this way" but leviathan was now forced to focus on his son's own impolite manners.

"blackbean, that's enough. don't fucking call allies any names. you can say whatever the hell you want to our enemies but it's wrong to say shit like that to clans that helps us out." exclaimed leviathan with a demanding voice, clearly not expecting any backtalk as the male reached out a small paw to pull the child back to his side. his unwavering titanium eyes glared down at the child before roughly rubbing the top of his head while adding "calm the fuck down or i'll give you a bath, b.b." hopefully that would keep his daring son in line as the tired flame regent turned to focus onto the american short hair with a look that held an apologetic expression as levi murmured "sorry about that, it's been a bit of a tiring day for them. but uh, why do you have a present for me?" he didn't ask what it was but why. a lot of times, leviathan felt that he wasn't exactly a "good" clanmate due to his indifferent apathetic mannerisms so it startled him when someone actually considered to spend their time trying to make or get something for levi.

it seemed he had just been here a while ago for the sun festival invitation. nonetheless, he supposed it didn't exactly count as an ambassador visit since he had never really asked whatever gossip was going on with hawkclan. his half-lidded iron gaze was flickering to the ground beneath him with the darkness above beginning to replace the sunshine. he had not meant to come in during sunset time but the japanese bobtail was a bit worn out and his duties had spread him too thin to the point where he couldn't really keep track of time when he journeyed. was it because of what had happened with witchlight? perhaps. he had been disgusted by angeldust's behavior and had decided not to bring them along because the obsidian prince desired time alone. so the cloaked figure stalked through the icy autumn turning winter air with his sharp ears pricked attentively while he carried the basket of supplies. it wasn't as luxurious as it had been with the festival gift basket but it carried about the same necessities such as herbs, small weapons, as well as books. levi had even placed some soap bars that he was beginning to enjoy making. blacksmith and now soap-making? what the hell was his life coming to? slowing to a silent halt at the edge of the border, the flame regent leaned back onto his strong haunches and waited silently, his ivory cravat gently waving against his broad chest as well as his forest green cloak.

"what the fuck are you two doing out here? it's freezing." a monotone drone like voice that carried a sharp edge to it cracker the air as the muscular outline of the flame regent appeared behind the two arcanium children with hooded stormy eyes. he glared down briefly at the son of robin, not comfortable with the way the male was close to werifesteria. he had noticed their behavior together and it left a bad taste in his mouth, perhaps out of protectiveness? possibly but it didn't help him remain stoic and indifferent to the manner. they were technically siblings and such but the japanese bobtail worried as well of the strength that gareth had. would he be able to control after the multiple accidents? the short young prince stalked past them and went to stand in front of the two and the bowl of cocoa.
