The orange dragon shrugged at her sister's voice in her head. She could think of a few reasons why getting to know her clanmates could be beneficial, but she could see why Lida might think it to be a nuisance. 'If Father ever wants us to kill one of these people, we'll know their weakness. Besides, having allies never hurt anyone.' Mara replied to her sister through their bond. The dragon unconsciously licked her lips as she peered around the camp, imagining sinking her teeth into a still-warm corpse.

SHE RAN DOWN THE FOREST SLOPE — mara — westeros — she/her — tags

Mara looked evenly at those gathered around, curling her tail in what appeared to be disdain. "I can speak for myself, Lida," Mara said flatly, giving her wings an indignant fluff. At least her sister hadn't said anything about her. "I am Mara. It is lovely to meet you all," the dragon said pointedly. She glanced again at the crowd. So, she had a brother. Mara had not been aware that she had older siblings. She figured she had been told at some point, but had disregared it as unimportant information.

Mara flew onto the scene, spotting her father and her sisters indigo scales. She landed gracefully, sitting down and curling her tail around her talons in a single fluid motion. Mara studied the newcomers with a skeptical gaze before glancing at Khaalida. Any idea who these people are? They claim to be Targaryens. Mara asked her twin through their bond.

Mara flew int the meeting, landing near her twin with a slight thud. She listened to the announcements, nodding along with what was being said. She wouldn't be opposed to going to ShadowClan or the Sanctuary."Noted."

Mara had never known how many relatives she had. For as long as she could remember, it had just been her, Lida, Emrys, and Tsubodai. Now it seemed that there were just gaggles of half brothers and sisters. It stressed the dragoness to know how many people she would have to appeal to.

She regarded the BlizzardClanner with her usual skeptical gaze. She had never seen a BlizzardClanner before, but this one seemed to be far too young to be traveling his own. Then again, she had known how to kill before she could utter a comprehensible word.

Mara approached, but she was in doubt as to whether or not she actually needed the training. Her close combat skills left something to be desired, but if she fought alongside Lida, they could fight well enough.

Though, that hadn't always been true. Sometimes Mara had been without her sister, however short that time had been. She realized with a pang of grief that she and Lida wouldn't always be together, not even in a fight. The thought scared her, as she and her sister had spent every moment of every day together since they had hatched. Things were changing, and they were changing too quickly for Mara's taste.

Mara received her sister's message (and the strong feeling of distaste that accompanied) from nearly a quarterway across the territory. She decided to investigate, so she flew in the direcion of the message. Spotting her sister's purple-ish scales, she landed next to Lida, causing the grass to make a slight swishing sound as she did so. She folded her wings neatly and studied the newcomer.

She couldn't sense anything suspicious, so she simply shrugged off Lida's hasty distaste. You should hold your judgment, Lida. We have no idea who this dragon is.

Mara looked just as unlike as a Targaryen as one could. Her golden locks that had been done in a loose fishtail contrasted greatly with that of her relatives. Her light orange eyes looked nothing like her twin's, much less her half siblings.

She spotted Lida, and decided to head over. The dagger she had strapped to her thigh as a precaution was uncomfortably cold, but her face would not betray her. Her orange gown swished as she walked, and the young girl resigned not to let her maids talk her into wearing something so extravagant next time. Looking over the group, Mara saw many new faces, so she decided to introduce herself. "Mara Targaryen. It is a pleasure to meet you all," she greeted warmly.

Mara immediately began to dislike Meg. The way she spoke hinted at overconfidence, but it could be masking low self esteem. The dragoness wasn't quite sure yet. "Mara," was the only introduction she offered, not wanting to waste speech on the sultry dragoness.

Mara appeared silently by Khaalida, brushing wingtips with her sister for a brief moment. The dragoness studied the flowers with a careful eye. They were pretty, yes, but they served no real purpose. However, Mara did not want to walk out empty handed, so she picked up a cactus. Those didn't require much attention, right?

Mara was happy for her sister, she really was, but she couldn't stop herself from feeling envious, even for just a moment. They had been equals for so long, and now suddenly they found themselves in different places. But, what could she expect? Lida had always been more open than Emrys and herself. Even if that landed her in trouble at times, open people were often more desirable in a court setting. "Congratulations," Mara said quietly, her tone a little flatter than usual.

Mara approached, internally groaning as she spotted her brother, Antigone. Mara had no real fondness for him, and was actually quite annoyed by his flamboyant nature. She stood by Khaalida, shooting Antigone a glance. "Young or not, someone should have taught him about common courtesy. He smells like a Clanner, so he should know better."

Mara glanced at Ren as he stood near her, no real emotion showing in her eyes, as she was just acknowledging his presence. "Mara Targaryen. It is a true pleasure,"she greeted, dipping her narrow head slightly. She was not fond of words, and she preferred the deep communication she shared with Emrys and Khaalida. However, speech was a must when dealing with outsiders.

The corpse of a Cartellian cat had been left by the border. Its throat had been slashed, but there were no real signs of a scuffle. The death had been sudden and quick. However, that was not the noteworthy thing about that corpse. Its soft underbelly had been eaten away, though by the perpetrator or a scavenger was unknown. Strangest of all, a leg had been torn from the body, as though someone had wanted a snack for the road.

All scent that could lead the Cartellians to the suspect had been wiped away. There were a few sets of footprints, but they led to nowhere, signifying a creature of flight.

When Mara felt Emrys speak through their bond in what felt like the first time in a very long forever, she was ecstatic, to say the very least. She had missed her brother's comments, and she had even begun to miss his spurts of anger. But now she didn't have to.

As soon as she heard Rys speak, she took flight immediately. Mara flew as fast as she possibly could to King's Landing, which wasn't very far, fortunately. Spotting her full siblings, she flew into their hug, wrapping her orange wings around both of them. "Emmy!" she cried, savoring the moment. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt so happy.
