It was indeed winter around Polarisclan; when was it not? Moosestar had been glistening up at the stars all night and lost track of the sun's awakening. The sun always took its time attempting to rise above the surrounding mountains and pine trees, for it was mostly dark due to the seemingly endless winter. Howls of wolves had rang throughout the night, and Moosestar was anxious for the night patrol to come back before the sun was set too far in the sky that he would forget.
The wolves knew that Polarisclan had their own territory. Moosestar could not talk directly to the ancient beings, but understood enough that they rarely marked their scents on his trees, and did not hunt. Occasionally unhuntable woodland creatures would come into the more forested parts where Polarisclan resided, feasting on leaves and bark, but Moosestar had come accustomed to this for they were vegans and did no harm unless provoked. If they were provoked, a rampage would happen, and that was something Moosestar did not want to happen at all.
He snuffled at the snowflake that fell on his nose, not knowing if it was from the sky or of a branch. He shook the light amount of snow on his fur and listened intensively to the forest, eyes closed in comfortality. It was only complete light for about two to five hours depending on the season, and the rest of the time it was dim like a storm was about to commence. Moosestar gave his eyes to the wavering sunlight in the sky that was bound to its own chains of bondage.
