Embermoon padded out of the nursery, her kit swollen belly swayed as she walked. She just walked around since she had nothing important to do right now until she kits. Embermoon sighed and looked at her belly as she sat. "When do I get to meet you?" She murmured to her unborn kits.

Embermoon looked up at Silverstride, "Are you catching greencough, Silverstride? If so you should see the medicine cat." Embermoon purred.

Emberpaw leaped up and tried to grab the rouge by her scruff.

Embermoon purred, "Newleaf always makes me sneeze." Embermoon mewed to Silverstride "Hello Dreamprint I hope this day finds you well." Embermoon meowed to Dreamprint.

Emberpaw looked up at the sky, it had begun to rain. 'Great. This is just great. I hope Glowingpaw isn't in this weather.' Emberpaw thought, as she made her way through the reeds back to camp, fish hanging from her mouth. Emberpaw's ear pricked as she heard a rustling noise, she shrugged and kept going towards camp.

Embermoon looked around but sighed. "Alright." She mewed as she picked the kit up by her scruff and trudged off to camp without a second thought.

Emberpaw dropped her catches in the freshkill pile then looked at Glowingpaw. "No, I haven't, though I did hear something while I was on my way here." Emberpaw mewed, she tried to keep the bitter tone out of her voice, though no luck.

Embermoon purred. "It's not that bad. I don't mind it much. I actually quite enjoy newleaf. My kits will be due soon so thats kind of good, as long as it's not to cold, it should start warming up." Embermoon mewed, as she cleaned her paws.

Emberpaw blushed under her fur, "No why would I be? I mean she's great and all but..... no I'm not jealous....." Emberpaw kept rambling on until she sighed and just shook her head in embarrassment.

Emberpaw's eyes widened, "R-r-r-really? S-same here." She stammered.

Emberpaw purred. "Yeah, really." She mewed.

Emberpaw watched silently as Glowingpaw left, her tail drooped and she practically dragged her paws to the apprentice den.

Emberpaw came dashing out of the reeds, jumping effortlessly on the dogs back. She raked her claws over the dog's back. She yowled in fury. "You filthy dog! Get off her! Get off Riverclan land!" She yowled in rage.

Emberpaw's eyes went sad. "I'm sorry I wasnt much help." Emberpaw sobbed as she helped him take her back to camp.

Embermoon licked the kit to keep it warm. "Come on Dreamprint. You can do it." She mewed softly

"It actually wasnt your fault. It was mine, I was so into you that I didnt even consider her. I just let her go out and get ... It's my fault." Emberpaw stated, tears welled in her eyes.

"She was mad cause she loved you, and I just got in her way." Emberpaw mewed softly.

Emberpaw stiffened her posture as they entered camp. She mewed a quiet apology and good bye to Shiverpaw's lifeless body before going at the edge of the camp.

Emberpaw just sat alone and watched her clanmates mourn Shiverpaw.

Emberpaw watched somberly as Glowingpaw padded towards her, she rested her chin on her paws as she watched him. She sighed, her eyes full of sadness and grief.
