it's terrifying when you quick a dog I always feel horrible. But not all dogs just stand there, I had one today that flipped the hell out and was jerking around the entire time, whivh caused me to quik 3 nails in total and OMG the amount of blood looked like I just killed someone's dog on my table. Not to mention it smelled horrible because he also blew his glands .... and i swear some got on me because all I smell is glands :'(

Try dremelling/filing her nails, she might be better for that than the clipper (never know and worth a shot)

//good, Scar! you needed the sleep! XD //

Adderfang returned from her very early morning hunt. The black she-cat's yellow eyes spotting the fresh kill pile and she set down her robin and rabbit. As she passed Goldenclaw and Doveclaw the she-cat meowed, through the fur and feathers, "Good Morning." Which sounded more like: G'morjung through the feathers and fur. Her eyes spotted Shadepaw and she moved towards the tom, but remained a little ways off as he was speaking with others at the moment, but made sure to sit within view. She wanted to get going, she wasn't sure what they were going to do at the moment but she still wanted to go out of the camp.

Scarepaw slowly moved around the other apprentices and exited the apprentice den. Jumping slightly as a bird sounded from the trees. His eyes, wide in his almost constant look of fear as he looked for his mentor, Redbelly. Spotting the tom the small brown tabby made his way towards his mentor. "Morning, Redbelly." He said looking up at the other. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to eat something before they went out for the day, or to wait. He knew he overslept, so he wouldn't be surprised if Redbelly told him no breakfast.

(Sorry just got home, updated the SignUP thread so could everyone please go an check to make sure all your cats are on the list, spelled correctly, and I also added a 'Families' section please make sure I didn't miss a sibling/parent from your bios :) )

Fallthorn pounced, landing happily on the leaf before he sat down the grey tom, watching the others he padded over towards Nightstar, Splashfur, and his sister were sitting. "Morning." He meowed, looking between the three.

"Morning, Nightstar." Sparrowsoar meowed, dipping her head to the Leader. She looked at her brother and gave a slight nod to him before adding, "I'm glad you slept well, Splashfur." She took another bite of the robin as he brother wandered off to return beside her with a vole. "I'm thinking of taking a border patrol, but we also need a hunting patrol. Either of you want to join?" She offered to Splashfur and Fallthorn.

"I'll go on the hunting patrol." The grey tom piped up, cheerfully.

//so just finished watching a Dog's Purpose.... why must all animal movies make me cry!?//

Scarepaw nodded and his movements were jerky as he ran off to eat something. He found a small vole and moved back towards his mentor. "What are we gonna do today, Redbelly?" The young brown tabby asked, looking up as he took a bite from the vole. HIs yellow eyes wide, as always, but twitched slightly as the wind blew and ruffled his fur. His eyes shifted around the camp as he watched everyone else wander around or talk. He looked back up to his mentor, a small excited look playing on his usually frightened features.

Adderfang smiled and meowed, "I'm very well, how about you today, Shadepaw?" She asked the apprentice before adding, "Nothing planned today, but we can go hunting or we can battle train." She offered, curling her tail across her jet black paws as her yellow eyes watched the charcoal colored young tom. She twitched slightly, as sitting still for any period of time was difficult for Adderfang to do, the tip of her tail tapped rhythmically against the ground. She wasn't angry it was just a habit she did whenever she ended up having to sit still for any length of time.

"Alright, hunting it is. I'll let Doveclaw know we will be joining her hunting party. You ate something this morning, I hope." Adderfang meowed with a nod before giving a pointed look to the apprentice when she spoke of him eating. She had actually missed the fact that he had been eating but she did want to make sure. She got to her feet and motioned for her apprentice to follow, "Doveclaw, mind if Shadepaw and I join your patrol?" The black shecat asked as she padded towards the Deputy.

    -Scarepaw waiting on response-

"W-w-what do you mean by that? W-why would something bad h-h-happen?" The small apprentice asked with a stutter as his eyes seemed to widen further at the thought that something could even potentially end up going awry. He quickly finished his vole, burying the remains as he looked up at Redbelly. The tom's attention drifted to Remi prancing around and he seemed to watch the tom briefly before his attention went back to Redbelly, his tail twitching nervously as he stood near his mentor. The young tabby jumped slightly as Remi prancing passed him, his ears flattening as he jumped, before he settled back down beside his mentor.

Scarepaw followed the deputy from the camp entrance, but stuck close to Redbelly. His ears pricked slightly as he watched the other two apprentices head off in the other direction. He had hoped he would have at least one other apprentice with him. He wanted to try to make friends, but often was too terrified to even try. His yellow eyes looked between Redbelly and Goldenclaw, "Where to first?" He asked, his voice sounding somewhat excited while his body language and eyes said otherwise.

Adderfang nodded, turning slightly to make sure Shadepaw was still with her as she trailed after Doveclaw. She parted her black jaw and took in the scents around the area, as her ears twitched with the sounds of the forest. Her black paws quiet against the forest floor, but her fur stuck out against the foliage. That was one of the things she hated. She had to hide in shadows to keep hidden better over someone with stripes or even a different colored pelt. Her yellow eyes looked up as she heard some bird chirping over head.

Four long years. Oh how she had missed him. She missed everything about him. His smile. His kisses. His big bear hugs. The way he looked at her. His voice. Everything. She missed everything about (Y/C). She knew why he went away, but had felt a pang of heartbreak when he did leave. Who wouldn't? He was leaving to go into (branch of military), for the next four years. Not like somewhere safe either. He was being sent off to the middle east somewhere, and for all she knew it was to some country that the US was not supposed to be at war with.

Now he was back. Four long years and he was back. His kisses never felt so good as his lips crashed against hers yet again as his fingers were setting fire against her skin. Her mind was buzzing with the fact that he was home. No more skyping. No more letters. No more care packages. He was home. He was hers. And in that moment it was just the two of them. No one else in the world. His movements were slow, and so were hers. Everything felt like a dream to her, but then again living without him for the last four years was both terrifying, lonely, and worrisome. She was afraid of him coming back in a box instead of breathing and kissing her like he was now. She was constantly worried about him. However, as he kissed her ever so gently she felt safe once more. He had told her next week he was coming home. Not today. So imagine her happiness of one less week she had to wait to see thr love of her life.

Memories of the last four years flashed through her head. She was alpne most night with the few exceptions of his siblings or their mutual friends over or dragging her off to a bar or dinners to get her out. Her brother had crashed on more than occassion at their small one bedroom apartment due to her fears of the one friend who had become obsessive with her. A knock on the front door to the apartment snapped her back into reality, she sharply pulled away from him, shaking her head.

"Not now... not now...." her eyes held fear as she peered past him at the front door. Her heart started to beat rapidly. Faster, fastar, and faster until she was sure (y/c) could hear just how terrifued she was from just her heart beat as it pounded in her ears. Shaking her head as (y/c) asked if she was expecting anyone, "No... he won't... he won't leave me alone...." Tears pricked her eyes as she watched him turn towards the door. She moved sharply, cutting in front of him, "Please, (Y/C), don't. Just ignore it.... he'll go away.... he almost always does."

Her eyes went back to the door and then back to him. She shifted uneasily and jumped, flinching even, when a voice ran out from the otherside of the door. She instinctively moved closer to (y/c) as the angry voice banged on the otherside of the door, demanding she opened the door for him. Her eyes closed as her body flinched with each bang of the door. "Go away, Charlie!" She yelled, as the man on thr otherside continued banging on the door.

"Come on, Eddie, open up!" The man called and Edna "Eddie" looked to (y/c) as she looked back when the voice continued, "I know you want me in there." The knob on the door rattled as he tried to get in.

"Charlie go away!" She said as she moved towards the door. She cracked it open and sharply said, "Please, Charlie, go away."

The man made no move, not seeing (y/c) in the living room behind Edna. "Eddie," the man's voice was now soft and low as he tried to be seductive. "Come on."

She moved to close the door but Charlie stopped her, forcing the door open and stepping inside the apartment, still taking no notice of (y/c). "Come on, Eddie." He was taller than her, and stronger with his broad framing it was clear he could easily overpower her, his hand moved to her waist as he was cornering her against the wall.

"(Y/C)?" Her voice cracked with fear as she tried to push Charlie off of her as he continued his antics. Her fingers were reaching for the baseball bat near the door before Charlie's hands pinned her's above her head. One large hand held her wrists as the other drifted back to her hips. "(Y/C)!" She cried out, unsure why he wasn't moving to help her. Then Charlie was off her, more like ripped away from her. She watched the brawl between the two men before Charlie was roughly shoved from the apartment. Her blue eyes were wide with fear as she looked at (y/c) who had a few cuts along his face and will clearly be bruised within the next hour or so.

The dapple grey mare ran. The sand kicking up behind her as she galloped along the beach, slowing to a fast canter as she moved further from the icey waters she called home. Her hooves pounding and she really wasn't paying much attention. The challenging scream caught her attention. But as she saw the stallion charging towards her, she picked up her pace racing along the sandy shore.

Suddenly the red stallion was infront of her, forcing her to skid to a stop. Instinctively her ears went back as his challenging demeanor came rolling off him. "Maeve." The mare responded through the link, with a rather sarcastic or even challenging air around her. Her ears remained flat against her head. "Why do you think I am out of the water?" She answered his question with one of her own. She wasn't particularly use to being asked questions as her herd within the ocean never really cared what anyone did. She moved to go around him and his rider. Of course he has a rider. Why wouldn't he? she snorted at her thought. She had yet to be tamed, or even find her true rider. She had been caught once before she had gone back to the ocean and left the rider to swim home.

Maeve was enchanting and she often found it fun to taunt riders, and then dart back into the ocean. However, this was the first encounter shehad with another Water horse who actually has a rider. Her tail flicked as her ears twitched upon the sounds of approaching hooves. "Well, I should be going..."shaking herself briefly and the salty ocean water that was on her came off. The young mare moved to dart suddenly around the red stallion and rider, in hopes to make it away from the other approaching riders and their horses. Alright, Maeve, enough games. You need to get away from here. She thought to herself as she aimed to dash around the pair.
