Seeing Shrikecall had arrived ahead of her, Shimmerpool waited and watched, snorting with amusement at his failure. "Ah yes, the mighty hunter conquers the fish." she drawled, thoroughly entertained. Apprentices were taught from their first day to avoid casting shadows on the water. Moving fluidly, her sleek blue-and-white coat rippling in the dappled sunlight she left the shelter of the undergrowth, taking a spot a few tail-lengths along the riverbank from Shrikecall. Eyeing her prey, the she-cat dipped one milky paw into the river and swiped a tiny fish out. A pathetic catch, but that wasn't the point. Instead of pinning the fish to the bank and killing it quickly, Shimmerpool had hooked it out and flung it shamelessly at the tom. Maybe he could catch a fish if it slapped him in the face.

Shimmerpool had always had skill with herbs, from long before she joined the Clan. Not the strongest or best fighter, and while she was pretty that wasn't unusual either. Merely an average hunter and sometimes downright two-faced, Shimmerpool was just glad she had something she excelled at. The blue-and-white she-cat had been a warrior for a while now, although her disappearance complicated things, leaving her a little out of the social loop within the Clan. She hoped maybe finding a way to utilise her skills in a more official manner might help her to fit back into the Clan she'd become so loyal to.

The blue-and-white molly padded over to the small gathering of her Clanmates, and took a seat close enough to Wheatbloom and Doestar to see and hear, but slightly distanced from the rest of her Clanmates. "I'd like to register my interest," the sleek-furred molly mewed softly, her voice clear and confident despite the low volume. Shimmerpool simply felt no need to deafen those nearby. "After all, you may have noticed by now I'm none too good at much else."

/Not sure how strict RC is on medicine cats and kits, because that's in her near future? But she has the skills and may as well do something with them :)
