Raphael's ears flattened to his head, almost letting out a displeased sigh. He had barely even seen Maria around before being bumped up to their deputy. While he did believe in activity, some seniority had to have come into play somewhere. He didn't call out congratulations, but didn't complain. Flicking his ears back to a normal position and simply nodding as if in agreement. He didn't love this, but swallowing his pride was all he could do.
It was good that they were finally getting a Crux in position, despite the undesirable conditions. Perhaps it would help them even more on their road to power, or maybe it lead to their demise. All something that would be told over time, and he was ready to enjoy the success that he expected. Everyone loved it here, who would work against them.

A non-feral bird was of an odd strand, something he didn't get the pleasure of seeing all the time. Let alone a pigeon, one of the most idiotic birds within the whole animal kingdom. He stifled a laugh, simply swallowing it down and trotting over to the mottled crew. A robot, a lynx, and a bird who in his opinion seemed rather intelligent.
"We live here, you're in the Sanctum, no harm whatsoever." They were a peaceful crew, and even though some of them were rather intimidating or even just cold, no harm came to passive people. "I'm Raphael, can we assist you in this mystery task?" Raph was tempted to add at the end a snarky 'if not, leave'. But he bit his tongue, casting rather a gentle smile to try and break the cool undertones of this weird conversation. What an odd day.

Raphael wasn't a hostile person, he didn't have much anger within him to let out. He mostly just bottled it up, and let it out while hunting, or other equally as boring medial tasks. Although, he could use the practice. A kitten could blow the thin feline over, a simply enemy could break a limb with a small 'chomp'. He was ready to learn, and although Raph wasn't the best, he had high hopes for Ryder's lesson.
    "I'll participate."

"Okay... Go grab those chairs." Raph gestured vaguely, whether he meant the rickety stick thin ones or the almost love seats was up to Salem. It was all about individual expression. "Then, drag the against the bed." It was easy, but he was tempted to go get fairy lights to hang up within it, maybe even popcorn. He'd ask about that after the fort was done he supposed.
Slipping to the side, Raphael then proceeded to jump on and off the large bed. Each time bringing down as many pillows as he could bite down on, doing it about four times round trip till he was satisfied with the amount. Already the room was a mess, two blankets strewn, pillows shedding a little bit of feathers and dust which lazily floated in the air. There was no artificial light, only the fading dim glow from outside.

Rolling the word ominous around his tongue like a sweet candy or a bitter wine. He was puzzled as to which way it didn't apply to this stranger. Maybe it was just panthers, something about the way they stalked about, an oil slick on the land. It didn't help with a slight fog hanging around them, although he loved that thick feeling.
Seeing as every single thing that could be said, had been said. Raphael would stand to the side, not too far from Salem. His eyes were this time around not examining the stranger from a far off land. Who's call they flocked to like a bunch of mindless animals. Chess pieces moving on command rather than of their own free will. Raph huffed. Thinking of nothing but the endless flow of new members who exploded in the community as if their own stick of dynamite. Lit by the relations everyone formed, so quickly. It was a flash of light, then they were gone, or immortalized in rank.
Finally dragging two brown glass eyes back to the panther, he'd sniff deeply. Trying for a faint telling scent, rather then this clouded mystery. He looked brute, at least thats all Raph would think about. What if one of these joiners that they let their defenses around so much just, attacked. They weren't prepared; not in the slightest, anxiety rippled in his body, and suddenly, Raphael was stiff. Ready to protect anyone here, him, Salem. It was completely irrational.

Where had he gone? Honestly at this point even he didn't know, it was like a blackout. Everyday his memory was slipping further, but for now, it was just based on activities. Day to day life. He seemed relatively normal as he half limped into the area. A small gathering was already there, but he still felt almost cold amongst them. As if day by day he was creeping more into the realm of being a complete outsider.
Raphael knew he was demoted, at least thats what he assumed. After his odd disappearance and all. The grey brown male flashed a smile up at the leader, at least, he believed that was the case. After Duchess' stepping down it was all just a mess and his head was spinning.

"I'll join before you take off!" Raphael had those long slender legs, as if he was built for running and hunting. He took pride in it, his agility. It was a non-average thing about him. Basically all he had left now that the hair dye had faded out of his worn dusty looking fur. A clear smile was on his face as he strolled over, Raph was oh too casual after being gone so long; Though if you asked him, he didn't even remember leaving.
The male was still slightly limping, which would make it fair. If not make the tall stick loose entirely. It looked as if he had been starving, not doing his usual hunts. Though considering all the rain, Raphael was probably just trying to protect from the dampness.
"I feel like I could run forever now that the world has thawed out," He muttered, as if the rain had drained him of freedom. Sunshine was here, and he was more than happy with it.

Death was a touchy subject, but he was very, neutral on the whole ordeal. Though he knew better than to come bounding it with a wicked grin and a wagging tail like an overexcited puppy, he still tried to appear friendly.
"Sorry for your loss, if you two were close." Raphael was awful with foreign affairs, never had been the most bubbly guy. He was glad Young was so quick to know what to say, people like him and Maria. The tan tom decided silently not to add much more to the conversation unless prodded. It seemed forced, too formal for him.

Unlike all the healthy people, Raph did in fact have concerns. His leg, the weird limp that was dragging behind him like a rock tied to the end of his paw. His memory, the way it slowly drifted away as if his mind was taking a short vacation on the clouds. Floating high above, just out of reach.
"I need an ear to complain, mostly about boys." Raphael fluttered his eyelashes, as if acting like a prepubescent female. It was the basis of his personality of course. Yet, he still actually seemed troubled. And letting his smile fall, he'd almost motion this with a twitch of his tail and a grim smile.
"But in all reality, you could actually help me out here Doc'," He would speak, still with the same amount of bright passion, but an odd sense of pain.

// yo yo yo time to find out he has parkinson's
we can do this here or privately its up to funa

Wandering slowly up to the toothy feline, he offered a less sharp smile.
"Howdy ho fellow, how may we help you?" Raph flashed a wacky grin, with bright beaming brown eyes. A real lady killer besides the occasional twitch or readjustment of his long back legs. He stood tall, examining the wings. "Or should I say, ma'am?"
He must've sounded rude saying fellow, then again, that was gender neutral enough in his books. Along with dude, guy, dude plural, y'all..... Raphael was rambling in his own head, attention obviously drifting off. How absolutely rude.

"Nice to see you, we thank you for the gift." Walking up with a protective stance behind the pup, he'd cast a slow smile. Raphael was never cold, but he seemed rather out of it as of late. "What clan do you speak for?" Perhaps he had just not been there for a statement of origin, but he was awfully curious. It was rare for an ally to visit them unless there was news, or a request.
He wasn't afraid though, this female sounded and smelled friendly, almost familiar. So Raph let his shoulders un-tense, sitting down in front of the stranger. This was his job wasn't it, relations with other clans. It was bitterly boring.

This was getting boring, their clan was activity dead. As Raphael reached the letter he'd half smile, knowing it'd be something to do. He didn't remember the district, not pinpoint exactly. The tom could blame his memory, but in reality, allies were distant to them. Hopefully this event could draw them closer. It wasn't a person on the border, just paper, so the Blueblood auto accepted it. Walking off into the wasteland.

"I can take control of the tour if you'd like sir?" Raphael dipped his head in greeting to the group as he walked up, a warm smile on his face. The male barely bothered to glance Maria over, uncommon for him, but definitely less creepy. Instead of just awaiting a reply, he decided to take his chance to introduce himself like the suave fucker he was.
"I'm Raphael, you can just call me Raph though," he'd repeat the phrase for what felt like the thousandth time in his life, it was so boring, like a broken record. "Glad you made it to our little corner of the world?"

However much he wanted to act like the bigger man, Frey was right. A waste of food would be awful for them, especially in the spring when they were still waiting for prey to become completely available. The Sanctum didn't have too many hunters that were working for them now, and this would put a damper on an already low supply.
"Isn't wasting food the exact opposite of what you want to do during a famine?" Raphael's voice wasn't laced with iciness but it may as well have been. The grey brown tabby shifted on his paws, trying to think of all possible outcomes. Worst comes to worse they loose an ally, but it wasn't like Hawkclan was doing much for them anyways. At this point it was just like a weaker power begging for help every chance that they got.
"Come, it might be a while until Youngmenace or Maria come, we'll bring you to the camp," He would say through gritted teeth, casting a questioning glance to the head. In the end she was the one with most pull here, so all he could do was hope it wouldn't go disastrously.

A warm purr erupted from his throat, approaching the sandy beach with a happy smile on his maw. It was simple, clearly small, but it was better than anything the Sanctum had held since when Duchess was in charge. The grey tabby's fur was glowing as he walked in, slow as to not seem overexcited or rude. Of course, he wasn't the first ally here. As he watched a Windclanner look around, they were both rather early. He hated to be rude at an ally event, at home it was different somehow. So he would scrape his mind for a compliment.
"It's lovely! This must've taken you hours." Though he was complimenting the work put in, his eyes were focused on the expanse of water. Mesmerized by how the ripples caught the light, and the clear blue color that came from deep inside. Raphael had never swam before, but he was starting to get the appeal. With a hazy warmth all around him, he was tempted to fucking moan.

Last time a Cartellian came to their border, if he was remembering right, they scared it off. Out of anger that they would think they wanted assassins, it was scornful. Raphael didn't really know if anyone in the clan did drugs, for the most part they were all the same slightly depressed and edgy creatures. No one bothered to numb that away.
"Howdy ho, how may I be of service." He was glad she was respectful of the border, it was rough these days when everyone thought they could go where they pleased. Of course he probably wasn't any better, but he was too boring to bother with visiting other clans.

"You might want to start with not hissing." A soft chuckle rumbled from his throat, approaching the stranger who stood by Young. It wasn't sarcastic, he was just making a simple joke. Hopefully the other wouldn't freak about that too. "Of course y' can join, let's just get a name first!"
The second a name would be uttered, confetti would fall from the sky, and strippers would pop from a cake. Everyone would screech a welcome, and everyone would be happy. Raphael had it all planned out per the usual.

Disgusting, the smell of drying blood poked at his nose. The sharp rocks he had been walking on for what felt like hours had pierced many paws before he had set foot here. Not many, the blood was old, and could belong to any number of feral or intelligent creature. The smell could just be wafting from his own beaten feet. He wondered just how many people had made this insufferable trek to a new home. Raphael was never one for hiking, he preferred the soft feeling of dirt and grass. The smell of rain, nature. This wasn't nature, this was a cruel joke played on mortals by whatever omnipotent power created this world.

This land was not made to support life, yet life persisted. Stubborn creatures always trying to climb to the top, whether it be for power, safety, family. Everyone has a drive in life, that's the rules. What drove Raphael to climb this cliff, was it the promise of a community at the top, was it the possibility of clean drinking water. Was it the slim chance that something from his old life might remain in whatever ruins of a clan he might find. No, it wasn't anything powered by greed or desperation; Raphael could make his home in the trees and be contempt. No political organization, a risk of no food the next day. What he craved was talking to others, communication. He craved validation for his practices in the arts, and punishment for when he acted like a heartless snob.

Raphael dreaded the idea of starting anew still, however much he loved the idea of seeing a friendly face. He hated the thought of another undeserving being judging him. However much Raph tried to be a pleasant person, exciting and bubbly. It always boiled down to people getting bored of his try-hard attitude. Begging on hands and knees for some acknowledgement of existing and doing a good job.

The pale cat looked up at the sky, at the clouds and the birds. Chirping to each other without a care in the world. The air was so crisp, the good cool feeling when you breathed in, like a soft autumn afternoon. He looked back, at the rolling hills, the place he would have to bare teeth and call home. Raphael knew what he was looking for, not a who, or a where. The other gypsies like himself never really were much into the politics of clan life, if you could consider titles that fanciful.
