He was slightly surprised as the other flew up into the air, even though he shouldn't be. Though he was not surprised about the fire, everyone seemed to have these strange abilities to control the elements. Where as he had nothing. He was no mystic and he counted himself as being normal or was he the strange one when it came to not having any sort of power to call his own. So when the other landed back on the ground and covered themselves in flames he knew he had to prepared himself. His eyes narrowed as the other rushed at him but the military dog wasn't quick enough, no, his shoulder was hit since he managed to get out of the way a bit and he felt the flare of pain, searing and burning. It almost took his breath away and he stumbled back lifting a paw to quickly put the flames out. Smoldering smoke lifted up into the air from his burnt fur and flesh. One of the first wounds he'd ever received and it was from a fellow clanmate, or one that thought themselves as one. He gritted his jaws but he made no other moves to attack, watching and waiting for an opening he could take advantage of.

"I'd be hard pressed to actually touch you." The male grumbled out and understandably so. It wasn't very strategic to throw himself at someone who was currently up in flames at risk of his own body. The searing pain of his shoulder had his left leg shaking a bit but his ears were pulled back against his skull, muscles pulled taunt as he stood there unsure of what the other would do. They had called themselves a succubus and he really didn't quite understand what that meant. Sure he had heard of such things but only in books and mythology. So there actually being one here was a bit baffling. Where they not demons? He didn't know and he allowed a harsh breath to leave him as he lifted up a paw again to lightly touch at his wound which was a bad idea since it screamed at him but it was already starting to fester a bit. He needed so aloe to put on it before he could properly look and treat it. But he focused more on the other after a moment and he pulled his ears forward. Maybe the storm had passed and he relaxed his hackles just slightly. "....you...um...should let me treat your wounds..." This leader stuff was harder than he thought and a tired sigh left his muzzle. Should he apologize...he didn't know.

He had no idea what they were talking about and that was the whole point he supposed. It was going to be a learning experience and thus the male had walked over with a light measure of intrigue in his eyes. He settled down and curled a leg up underneath himself before he breathed out a soft and gentle breath. It would be interesting to learn of the home that Anakin had come from and thus he gave a light smile and a nod of his head. "I'd like to listen."

He was also not a fan of the way that the other spoke. But at the same time maybe that was how he socialized and it wasn't meant to be taken so seriously. Still being called a water bitch was not something he had ever though would be aimed his way. It was strange and a bit humorous as well and the collared male walked over to make his presence known as he stood beside Anakin. His cyan colored gaze looked at the basket that had been haphazardly tossed over the river and he sighed softly before he sat down and then flicked his gaze over to the Sunclanner. Things just kept getting stranger and stranger. "Riverclan's been fine and we haven't had many problems to be honest. How Sunclan and Suga doing?"

"Hey calm down buddy. It's alright, we aren't going to hurt you." The canine spoke with a calm voice as he made his way forward through the mess that their camp had become. Sure, the hurricane had been really bad but it wasn't like they could just pack up and go. with a soft breath the male would make his way forward, eyes narrowed as he looked up on the creature. Well, this was certainly different and he had not expected to see something like this. He wondered what he was before the collared dog sat down. "This is Riverclan and I'm Desmond, their leader. What's your name? Do you need any food?"

They were starving but what kind of starving was it? The doberman had a hint that they were not talking about the starving that he knew of, an empty belly and hard nights. It felt like something different anyway and he managed to nod his head even if he didn't quite understand it all. He slowly sat down then, eyes narrowed slightly against the pain shuddering through his left leg from the burn on his shoulder. He'd be fine all things considered and when the other apologized he started to feel bad. He was apologizing but he, himself, had kind of started it, even so the leader understood that he had to hold his ground against those that didn't listen to him, it was a leader's job to command. He sighed softly before he lifted his head up a little bit. "You don't have to apologize..." Truly they did not and his ears perked up when the other said they would look at his wounds. That was nice of them. He gave a hurried nod before he pushed himself to his paws.
It only took a few moments before he returned, hobbling now, with his tote bag of herbs. He was still considered a Nurse here so he knew some of the things that would help with he puncture wounds he had left in the other's neck. He bowed his head a bit, almost tentative as he approached to make sure i twas still okay before he dropped his bag and attempted to get some cobwebs out to press it on the wound with a gently press of his paw. His eyes closed as he sighed softly before shaking his head. "This went too far...I didn't mean..."

Seeing someone change shape was not something he had thought he would have witness before. It was almost horrifying the way the body shifted and stretched, pulled and collapsed. Unlike anything he had seen before. His eyes watched in open stare of wonder and horror before forced himself to look away. Staring wasn't something he was supposed to do but he couldn't help himself. All of this, every power, every strange phenomenon was like watching something that shouldn't have been. Things he had heard whispered in stories but had never thought they were true. He struggled with the reality of a life he never thought he would have and he took in a shuddering breath before he forced himself to walk forward. To approach Corrupted as he looked at ht other with what he hoped looked like genuine calm. He cracked a small smile before he sat down, lifting a paw gently. "Does...that help?"

It wasn't every day that the male patrolled the border on his own. He was for the most part taking care of the clan which gave him little time to actually be alone. But today he actually had some down time. The doberman walked slowly along the riverside, eyes searching the area for anything that was out of the norm when he saw the puppy. His eyes widened and there was nothing that stopped him from reaching the young child. Quickly the canine leaped forward and he came to a stumbling halt over the unconscious pup, eyes searching over her body at all of the infected wounds. "Ah, marigold...I need...." Quickly he pulled the tote bag he carried with him and set it on the ground before he started to pull out the famous golden herb. He moved away then as he dragged a bowl out to fill it with water and then he came back. "You'll be alright. You're safe." He murmured before he leaned down gently to give the young pup a light nudge with his noise, one that begged her to wake and take a drink of water as he moved to look at her wounds again. With some moss he started to try and clean them, gentle strokes over the body with the dampen material so that he actually get some of the infection out. From the worse of it it was a back claw that was torn and one above her eye and he had first started working on the claw. Attempting to dress it with a combination of chewed up tormentil and marigold after cleaning it.

It was true that he had not seen Pacificocean in a long while but he had already became accepting of the fact that some just disappeared. It had happened to Wimund, and Ghostcountry, even Callie and he wasn't about to be upset about it. At least he tried not to be but when clanmates disappeared it was almost like a shallow wound being laid into his chest. So when he heard Rook talking to someone he came forward to check it out. His eyes shifted from Rook to the form of Pacific coming out of the ocean waves and talking about returning and that she was hungry. But he was so confused. Had she been in the ocean this whole entire time? Breathing? Living? "Are you alright? Where did you go?"

Ah, this was something that he wanted to hold for a while now but he didn't know how to go about doing it. He was kind of sure that there was some protocol to doing a private meeting with his ranking members but he figured he would just wing it, sending out a messenger to them. So the doberman turned away from the sodden mess that the camp had become after the Hurricane. The caverns were still flooded and he didn't know how long it was going to be before they were dry again. He didn't even know if everyone was accounted for and it made him feel sick to his stomach. What a way to begin his leadership, with a goddamn storm. A sigh left his throat as he moved along the debris of what used to be huts and even his own hut had been torn asunder, all his books swept away by the ocean and even his herbal books. Those had been important to him and his blanket. With a grunt he sat down before he waited for his ranked members to come over, eyes narrowed slightly in contemplation.

The sudden jump to aggression made the leader move back just a bit and he should have been prepared for it. At least a little bit. His ears pull back then and he pressed his paw hard against the ground, debating on how to approach this situation. It's not like he wanted to make the other angry, or seem like they are under attack. Frankly it's the opposite with the leader trying to understand the creature that they are and how to help. Sure, by nature he was a soldier first, attempting to help those that are in need of his services but he was also a nurse, someone that knew medical procedures and how to heal the sick and wounded. But this was a circumstance he had not been met with before and though a challenge he still wanted to help as much as he could. So how did he get the other to allow him to do so? Slowly the doberman pulled his ears forward and relaxed his body, he gave no sign of aggression or submission. The only thing that came from him was a calmness, a neutral and quiet expression adorning his face. His body was still and poised even as the other growled out that singular word. Starving. They were starving and he wanted to fix it.
But he didn't know how. "Then tell me how to help?" He spoke with a low rumbling voice, a mellow tone that resounded with concern. Perhaps then it would help them to get better and if they got better then they could stop suffering right? In his mind this was a good path to start with and the leader twitched his stubbed down as he waited hoping for the best and dreading the worst if it came to pass.

This was a long recovery but the doberman was going to do what he could do for her now and while she was slipping in and out of consciousness. So he went to work, bandaging up her torn claw with tormentil and marigold after he clean it out thoroughly. He then moved to her eye and did the same for that, but he also added some celadine juice and seeped it into her eye to hopefully prevent damage from the infection. From there he moved to her other infected wounds that were not as severe, cleaning and patching with smaller dosages of marigold. He was still very worried though because of how small she looked and when Aphelion came forward the canine turned his head toward the much larger animal. "Can you help carry her back to camp? Or what's left of it anyway. We need to get her food for when she wakes up and a warm play to lay her head."

The Hurricane had did a number on them, a harsh number. The territory was basically destroyed and the river had flooded as well from the torrential rains plus the ocean itself. The huts were all but gone even his own which had most of his prized possessions in it. He'd lost everything and he felt so guilty for it. Still he wondered where the camp was going to be now, the caverns were flooded and there was no telling when the place would or even if it would drain out on it's own. A soft sigh left his muzzle as he came over to Heatherpaw who was taking a hard break after hauling around debris all morning. "It looks bad, doesn't it?" He didn't know what he was going to do about all of this or where they were going to camp out for the next couple weeks. "I'll give you a helping paw."
-
So, i thought it would be a good idea to lay out in a thread what damages the hurricane has done so that we can keep these in mind here, so here goes a list!
FLOODED CAMP/CAVERNS - because the camp is below sea level and the entrance is on the beach's shoreline it was an easy place to be flooded with the massive waves that continuously spilled over the island itself.
DESTROYED VILLAGE/HUTS - the village that once rested in the heart of the island has been destroyed by the strong winds and powerful ocean waves. it is optional if you want your hut to be destroyed or not : ) Desmond's got destroyed and all of his belongings washed away.
SWOLLEN RIVER HAZARD - The river has become rather bolstered by the torrential rains and much more violent with the way that it rushes with rapids. It's best to avoid it or start making plans of creating an arching bridge over it to the mainland.
DOWNED OR LEANING TREES - some trees have been uprooted by the storm and even some treas are leaning to the side. Be careful as some of these trees might still be on the verge of coming down and may fall unexpectedly.

"What are you looking at?" The male asked as he came forward. His cyan gaze flicked to his Second mate with curiosity as he walked forward. There was a lot on his mind and thus he was working hard to help with the rebuilding and cleaning effort that Riverclan needed. The Hurricane had certainly done an number on them, destroying most of the village and the caverns were flooded which was the main camp for Riverclan. He hoped that they could some how find a way to drain it but if not then he didn't know what they would do. But he did know that his clan needed time to recuperate and thus he was a bit confused as he looked at the note. His pelt bristled at the words before he looked up at Obscuro with wide and worried eyes. "What the hell does this mean? Meteors, End Game, a tourney!?"
-
His gaze shifted to look at Anakin as he approached and brought up his strange joining and the questions that he had asked when he had presented himself. The leader sighed before he shook his head a bit. "Well, the caverns sure didn't flood from high tide." There was a bit of bite to the canines words but only because of the fact that they didn't much have time for this. No time for pointing fingers as they all needed to work together to get things back to normal or as close as they could get it to normal again. He then focused on Heatherpaw and he gave a light nod toward the apprentice before he moved forward and started to grab at the fallen branch from a tree. "We could use this wood for something I'm sure."
-
Some were missing but he couldn't afford to wait for them. He'd given it a while and so he figured he would go ahead and start. He dipped his head to Beautiful and then to Obscuro before looking at Anakin and the rest. "Alright, so the camp is in shambles and I'm not even sure of what to do about that frankly. The Caverns are flooded and the village has essentially been swept away. The river is dangerous right now but at the very least we should make a bridge over that thing. I don't know why there hasn't been one since a river is a pretty large body of water and to have to swim across it regardless of how fast it is going is dangerous. So do we have any plans? Any to drain out the caverns?"

He'd been close by when the cub had started discussing the rules of the game that he wanted to play. He lifted his head up and looked at the kid before he gave a low nod of his head. He breathed out before he pushed himself to stand up and he walked over on sluggish paws before he settled down and then laid before putting his head upon his paws. He was still drowsy from just waking up but he could definitely play the game. "Sounds like a fun game to play. I'm all for giving it a try. Hopefully I'll do it right."
