How did one play a human sport without hands? He cocked his head as he watched from a distance debating on if he wanted to join in or not. Honestly, he was a bit confused but he wondered if the ball could be smacked with their mouths instead. It was worth a shot and he wasn't doing anything currently so he might as well try it out for himself. Striding over the military canine would stand near Wimund before realizing he needed to be in the line for being picked to be on a team. His tail wagged in greeting before he took a couple steps back and settled down on his haunches. "I'll play it." He spoke up a bit confidently because he'd give it his all if he was going to be playing this game.

It was starting to get late and the sun was slowly sinking down toward the horizon. But it still gave them a few hours of daylight to get some training in. He'd be giving his new apprentice a few drills to start on and work everything before they actually got into working specifics. Still that didn't meant the soldier wasn't nervous about all of this. Admittedly he was since he had never had to train someone before. There was always someone over him and he shifted his stance to try and relax the tension in his body. He would do find or so he hoped and there was no need to be nervous as he was. Things tended to work out in is favor and so he could only give the lessons he learned and nothing more. What and how Wimund used them was up to the still growing lion. So the male waited upon the beach as he watched a pod of dolphins breach off the coast in their attempts to catch some fish that were swimming nearby. Stamina was the first thing on his list to run the child by and so he waited for him to show up, eyes closing as he listened to his surroundings.

so this is my boy desmond verbane who is new to the clan life and the world that these clan's live in. originally he was born and bred to be military dog which is highly expensive. him and his human were very close and so he really wants to get back to him but he doesn't even know where to begin looking considering he has repressed the memories of what happened to him and his human on how they got separated. that being said he is the leader of riverclan and a nurse of Riverclan, also the ambassador to Blizzardclan. he is studying herbs on his own time. currently he is a crush on imperia of Blizzardclan but nothing is set in stone right now because he is bound to goof it up, lol. he is open to a lot of things although i'm very picky about him being captured, maimed, or having litters. he is closed to being killed
He is open for a romantic relationship but i really want him to have one with someone that is an enemy of Riverclan. Currently The Exiles and Bloodclan are all that he knows of that is enemies to them but as he learns he'll begin to understand what is going on.

What was the Blackheart Rogues? They sounded more like a trouble making group to him and that didn't sit well with him. Still he had no real reason to get upset over them being at the border, at least not yet. They had come with an invitation for the whole of Riverclan and though he didn't understand it he didn't say anything against it either. The doberman stared with a stifling silence for a moment before he walked over with a calmness that spoke of how he would handle this. He slowly sat back on his haunches, tail giving a wag in greeting before he parted his muzzle. "I don't think I have the power to accept this but either our deputy or or leader will be here to say yes or no. Tell me though, who are the Blackheart Rogues?"
-
"Firm up." He barked the order as he turned around to face his apprentice. He didn't want to be too harsh on the lad but at the same time training was a serious manner. "We aren't here to have fun. I'm going to push you still you are too tired to move." He half meant that but a serious mentor was a good one right. Even if he had a soft spot for Wi they needed to get things done. "Now first thing first. I want you to stretch. We are going to be working on your stamina first then we will be going into agility afterwards and see how good you are at dodging." He led the charge by slowly stretching out his forlimbs and dipping down low so that his tail arched over his back.

The brute dipped his head as he was told to continue by Atlas. This was only going to take a small moment to actually get the herbs into his system. It was helpful enough note one thing though. "After you eat this your tongue will feel numb but it's nothing to worry about. It's to help with the pain before they move the bone." He shuffled through his little tote bag and pulled out a life that was a very dark green and he laid it down so that the male could consume it and so the pain would lessen in him. "It's a raspberry leaf and if you'd like to rest I can give you a poppy seed to help with that." But only three since he was a large wildcat and they needed a high dosage for it to actually work on them. His eyes shifted to Bluestreak then and he gave the sugar glider a light smile before the solider killed it and lightly nodded. "It's good to meet the both of you. I'm Desmond Verbane."

Oh, he didn't know what a duvet was. Well, that was find as he didn't mind explaining what it was all about. He shifted then as he eyed the treasure chest before he nosed around again. "It's like a blanket but it's thicker. Made for keeping you warmer at night." And considering he lived on top of the caverns he figured he would need it. He sighed though as he pushed around some more items before he felt the touch of a thicker blanket. Wrapping his teeth around it he tugged up the diamond patterned duvet and pressed a paw against it as he hauled it out. It was a tannish brown and black.

Living between two bodies of water was a dangerous thing. He knew this because he used to live on a ship. A warship to be precise but that wasn't the point he was getting at. They were at risk of tsunamis and maybe even earthquakes that could trigger such massive tidal waves. That and he was sure the clan enjoyed going swimming and thus was the reason as to why he was giving these lessons now. Water could be a friend but it could also be a hazard also and one to be wary about even though it was fun to play in. The doberman stepped out on the beach eyes taking in the beauty of the sands and the clear waters before he sat back on his haunches, ears swiveling forward before he decided to call out. "Riverclan come over if you want to learn some CPR lessons. In case of water on the lungs." Aka drowning or other matters as well.
-
"I don't think tie dying could change from a family event." Or at least he hoped not. The canine didn't want to go parental when he wasn't even a parent himself. Still he hoped that things would stay kid friendly. Stalking over the doberman tilted his head as he watched what the female was showing them. The beanie looked nice but these were human clothing. How would they wear any of it? He pulled his ears back as he debated on what he would do with all of this. He could sleep on some shirts he made he supposed and he dipped his head before sitting down. "I'll give it a shot with one of those shirts."
-
Navigation. An easy subject where he was concerned and one he didn't mind brushing up on. The male slowly made his way over with a light pep in his step as he breathed out a soft breath. He was tired but that was his own fault for not sleeping last night and instead roaming the border on a night shift. Perhaps next time he would take Wi with him. Sitting down beside his apprentice he gave a light nod of his head to Jaster to let the male know he was participating in this little lesson before he laid down altogether and curled his tail against his body. He swallowed down a yawn before he closed his eyes, perking up his cropped ears to listen in.
-
"You shouldn't pressure someone if they don't want to tell you what is wrong." The male spoke with a muted tone as he came forward. The smell of vomit and alcohol had brought the doberman to the scene and his brow furrowed a bit. Of course he had seen Callie drunk before in a session where she had asked him to help her find a girlfriend. A task he thought was well beyond his abilities but he had never seen her like this. His claws bit the ground as he tilted his head a little bit, debating on what to say. He didn't want her to be upset with him for being concerned and most of all he didn't want her to think he was pestering her either. Maybe some tough love would work in this situation. So he moved forward aiming to shove the female with a firm push to get to her paws. "Come one, you need a bath. I know a good patch of fresh water to take a dip in. Not the river. Don't want you being swept away."
-
Keeping pest out of a garden, well that was one way to start it but what about the deer. Surely they would come and eat something if they coudl get into it. Still, they might not want to cross the river just to get to a few plants. Thus the male walked over with a light stride in his step and his cyan eyes fell on Obscuro. He was a bit tense still around her and he wanted to talk to her one on one at least at some point but for now he merely shifted his gaze away and focused more on the little plot of land that was designated for planting. "May I plant some strawberries in the garden or raspberries?" He mainly wanted the leaves from the said plants and the fruit could go to whoever wanted them. Preferably he liked to eat the strawberries but that was not a need for him.

A yelp for help had the doberman hurrying over as quickly as his paws could take him. His tote bag thudded against his shoulder a bit uncomfortably but there was nothing he could do about that. At least not right now when there seemed to be an emergency going on. His breath was not labored as he pulled up to look at the pup named Chance and his frantic nature before the stench flooded into his nostrils. He paused then, head lifting up as he pulled in the scent once more before it registered in his mind. Bloodclan. He'd never truly been involved with them before but they had taken someone...who was it. He narrowed his gaze then as the smell of Jaster reached him and he narrowed his eyes before he turned and yelled back the way he had come. "Mira! Ramses!" Then he looked back to Chance before lowering his head a bit. "Hey everything will be alright."
-
Hmm, he had been to Windclan before, the smell of it was memorable and thus was the reason why the male had come over. He was curious and nothing more. Though this individual he had not seen when he was over there. The circumstances in which of why he had been in Windclan was embarrassing so he wasn't going to say anything about it. No he rather just keep it to himself. So the doberman sat down with a slow smoothness, muscles rippling beneath his soft grey blue and rust colored pelt. Curious that he wanted to talk to Ramses before joining.
-
The male tilted his head a bit as he greeted each new face with a light nod of his head. He first would start with what they might know of CPR. Thus he rose to his paws and trotted along the gathered animals before he paused and turned to look at them. Breathing out lightly he flicked his tail as he debated on what to ask first. CPR was a standard thing to learn though it wasn't mandatory. But it was always good to know in an emergency. "Okay, first, what do you guys think CPR stands for?" Of course there was only one right answer but to him this was an open class and he wouldn't tell them that they were stupid or something if they didn't know it.

Boy was he pissed off and it wasn't even at anyone else. No it was directly pointed at himself. How long did he wander around like a dumb idiot trying to find his own way to Blizzardclan? Maybe close to a week, close to a goddamn week. He was livid with himself even though he found it also an achievement that he had even made it to the correct place this time around. He'd declined the help from Windclan when he had accidentally arrived at their border thinking it would be easy peasy to get there on his own. His muzzle was gripping the basket a bit too tightly as he stormed his way to the border, grumbling under his breath. The soldier should have just asked a passing by creature for directions because he was sure that someone knew where to go and how to get there quickly. But no, he had to prove it to himself that he could make it. Setting down the basket the riverguard huffed hotly against the mildly cool air before he sat down and just waited, not even bothering to take any more steps than was necessary. No the doberman was tired and he lifted a paw to brush off some dirt from his collar.
-
The first to greet him had brought a bowl of fresh water and although he was hardy by nature he was very much appreciative of the liquid. He gave a small and grateful smile before he dipped his head down and took a few measured laps at the refreshing beverage which also helped to calm his own emotions. There was no need to be upset when he did indeed reach his destination. Even if it had taken him much longer than he was used to. He had made it. Lifting up his cranium cyan eyes were fixed on Kate and he was about to answer her question when a snow leopard arrived and introduced herself. Head Medic. His head cocked to the side before he lightly debated on his next words. Although he was studying herbs on his own free time he had other duties to attend to with his promotion to riverguard already a week in. But maybe he could get some lessons from her. "I'm better after the water I was given. Thank you very much...um... I didn't catch your name." His cyan gaze fixed on Kate for a moment, an encouraging look before he then fixed his eyes on another more familiar figure that came bounding up to him and he had to say that he was not prepared.
"Wi, what are you doing here? Wait, are you living here too?" Was that a thing around here that he didn't know about. His muzzle twitched with intrigue at the prospect of living in two different places and considering his origins were far and away from this kind of place he was still learning. Shaking his head he aimed to give the kid a lightly noogie on his head before he then looked to the next one to approach and had introduced herself as Nayomi. Though he didn't understand her use of grave he just gave a light nod of his head, a simple tip of his cranium in her direction. Boy, there were a lot of animals here in this Blizzardclan which was something to take note of. A salmon colored tongue slipped out to swipe along his jaws as he stretched out his body a bit to keep himself from getting stiff and then a canine came forward. A lovely silver wolf that captured his notice. He watched her for a moment, eyes blinking once and he had to admit to himself that since coming to these clans this was the first time another canine, a wild canine at that had caught his attention. His cropped ears pulled forward just slightly before he realized he was staring and he looked away. See, this was way he kept away from well, romance. He was bad at it and struck out every time. Swallowing he shifted his gaze casually back to her as her slightly accented voice reached him. Imperia. That was a nice name, lovely even but he couldn't get caught up right now. Where was he? The military dog rolled his shoulders before looking at all of them. "I'm Desmond Verbane and I'm supposed to be the ambassador to Blizzardclan from Riverclan. I'm currently a Riverguard there. By the way Iselotta, you said you were the Head Medic here, do you give lessons?

This was going well and he was making progress. Hopefully he could make his visits more weekly considering he knew his way here now or at least he hoped hat he would remember his way here. It would make him look very unprofessional if he were to get lost once again. Inwardly he winced at the prospect before he shoved those thoughts away and focused on Kate as she introduced herself. By what she said she already knew Riverclan and had lived there herself. Well, that was easier on him and he gave a small smile in her direction. More open this time around. "Riverclan's been doing okay. We had a run in with the Exiles but things have settled down for now." Mira had come back, a little different, but no less fierce than she had been before. Which was good on them as they needed their First Mate in good condition. He was still learning about the Exiles and who they tried to be but for now he stayed away from them.
Fixing his eyes then back on the snow leopard as she began to speak he listened with strict attention, eyes never wavering from her before he dipped his head slightly at her inquiry. "Yes, lessons for myself. It would be nice to get some formal training instead of what I've been doing. Trail and error is good for most things but this I think needs a more delicate touch." Sure he had learned a lot but using herbs on himself to discover properties was not the safest way about doing it. Still, it had helped him in the long run. When the silver wolf spoke up his eyes went to her quickly as if drawn like a moth to a flame and he had to force himself not to look so eager. Besides when she'd ducked her head at his wandering eyes before he was sure he messed up, He knew he had. He flicked his eyes down to his paws and lightly coughed to try and seem like it was a casual glance before he lifted his gaze back up to her to answer her question. "Um, yes. It sparked my interest when I first got here. I don't have any formal training and I've been studying alone for a while. I don't want to be an official healer though. Heh,....kind of just like a unofficial field medic in case our doctor can't get there in time."
-
Another meeting was brought forth and the doberman found himself making his way over to the area in which it was being called. He was starting to grow accustomed to the way in which Riverclan worked. It was complex for sure but the military canine was making it work for himself. He settled back on his haunches smoothly eyes fixed on Ramses as he began to talk about Bloodclan, about attacking them because of what they had done. It spread a sense of unease down his spine at the idea of going in to attack without trying to talk and negotiate first. But at the same time he also didn't know of Riverclan's history with Bloodclan either. Still he knew what battles and possible war did to citizens and those participating. A low breath left him as he filled way the information and then he straightened his shoulders. His ears pulled forward when demotions were given. Amaryllis was a face he remembered but also had not seen in a long while. He wondered what happened.
But a spark of surprise lifted his eyes slightly at his name being called to become a nurse. A trainee in the medical field. Before he had just wanted to be an unofficial field medic. Someone who was there when the docs couldn't make it but now he had the chance to do the job in a more professional standing. Lifting up his head he was about to speak when there was more going on. More promotions and he was called up again to become a Second Mate. Which was he guessed underneath the deputy. His pelt pricked with a sense of unease at the responsibilities piling up but he was trained to take the load when others couldn't. Taking a deep breath he tilted his head slightly. "Thanks Ramses. I accept both positions and I hope to do well by them. Congrats to those that have moved up as well."
-
Having both of the females off to assist him with learning herbs was something that lifted his spirits. It made him feel better to actually have some sustainable help in this field. Especially now since he had just been promoted to nurse. He wagged his tail in thank you to the both of them before deciding to speak up once more. Coming to Blizzardclan was a nice experience if he had to say anything about it. "I'd very much enjoy having a group session with the both of you and your trainees if that is okay." He allowed a smile to tilt the corners of his mouth and then he turned to look toward Pierce as the male came forward and introduced himself. He lightly dipped his head to the other as he offered Blizzardclan's assistance with the Exiles. "Thank you and it's nice to meet you. I'll talk to Ramses about it once I get back home."
/yes a thread would be great!
