( EVEN IF THEY DO sorryihadtogeekoutthere )

Did petting plants really help them? Large, questioning eyes focused and unfocused on the colorless plants. He'd much sooner pick them apart than stroke one but he found himself strangely called to running a wing over the rubbery skin. Of course he was unable to tell the texture. "Oohhh, spices sound good." Better than greenery. Leaves and such were flavorless to him while spices were showy and went well with meat. Ah, meat. His one true love.

Riki needed more leeway for his pastel feathers and the Rift had sounded like a worthy place to let them free. He'd overheard of the place and since the Sanctum was so new and still budding, he wanted to see how an already well-established group functioned. Smiling delightedly, the grossly colored golden eagle swept up to an isolated pillar missing a top and dug his sharp talons into the side of it before proceeding to spiffy up his plumage and groom. When that was done he pivoted his beak towards the ground and cooed, "Hi, hi! Name's Riki. Wanna know if I can have a dual-alliance with you guys."

WATCHU' WANT, WATCHU' WANT, WATCHU' WANT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, FRONT OF YOUUUU

"Nah. Greens're an eagle's worst nightmare.", he lamented. That doberman knew what was up. The wiener dog probably had to build up an immunity to the stuff though he considered it cool that she liked something other than the norm. They were a healthy meal, after all, so there had to be advantages to it. "More for you!" Glinting beak corners curved as he exclaimed this.

All this excitement made him want to yell out and yell out he did. "KA-KAW, KA-KAW!", howled the bird of prey as he swooshed, twirled, swung, and circled in a celebratory flight for the newly appointed. They kicked butt and starry eyes himself would aspire to be one of them come a while. He had time to spend in perfecting a sort of way of life. They were already assured of their's. He could pursue medical treatment or fighting or watching every move of their enemies. It felt so far away. He should ask one of them to help him, yeah! Riding the breeze he had picked up, the raptor delicately pirouetted down to their level and came to a halt when he stuck a giant foot out, catching a corner and landing elaborately. "Congrats, guys! Keep it up!" He applauded by flapping his reckless wings together.

That lil' guy looked like a crunchy snack. He had to be careful of that stinger, though. Bugs were always on the defensive about birds and had to have their specialties. He found it much more convenient and rational if they gave in minus the fight and call it even. One party'd be extremely satisfied and the greater good would be made content. He began to bend forward and inspect the hard skin to see where first to strike when the guy had the nerve to talk. Now he could never eat 'em! He was a thinking, speaking being and that went against Riki's code of conduct. Ah well. "Okaaaaaayyyy."

Here was his confirmation! A substantially sized wolf made its way towards the duo and he knew at once that this had to be the boss. "Goodie!", chimed he. "Nice to meetcha', Cainsmark. Thanks!" The Sanctum could use an ally like these guys. They weren't even barking at him or anything since his other home was a neutral. What a couple'a princes.

"Thankies, mister." Check out the wings on that guy. They were dove's and he was a fox of all animals. Unknowing about the unfortunate position he faced, Riki began to become intrigued thanks to the feathers that were tucked at the guy's sides. They had to be useful. Then again, penguins had wings of their own and they could hardly get off land. Were they decorations? Glue globs were unnoticeable if they were as was seams. "Hey, Citron. We should go for a fly sometime. 'd be loads'a fun."

He could see how holding loyalties to two individual places would be difficult. Riki was cut out for further activity, he felt. Ruckus and people on the move were always tempting factors to him. "I appreciate it! I'm gonna like you, Cady. You're real cool."

Those were some good questions that girl before him had asked. Family was important. People could gets all nutsy without their moms and dads and it usually royally beat them up in the long run. Luckily, the whole clan was his family. That hummingbird buzzing away by her shoulder, well, he was not. He might be a teeny snack if someone failed to catch Riki drooling at it. Quails were tasty so colorful miniature birds should follow suit.
