[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Ears twitching, the boy would eye Frank carefully before stammering. "Ah... y-yeah, you too!" Then, turning to Slymae, he would smile. "You as well, miss!" Said the wolfdog, pausing for a moment to shake his head. "Oh, n-no, I think I'll be fine... thanks, though!" He appreciated her kindness, but to be honest, all Kenji wanted after this was to be alone for a bit... and a little sleep would be nice too.

At Sweetophelia's words, he would nod in response. Yes- they did seem quite welcoming. Kenji had no doubts about that. Then, at her question, he would tip his head. "Um, well... I don't know if i'm japanese, since I don't really... remember my parents very well... but my, uh... master- er, human was japanese. He was the one who named me."" The wolfdog attempted to explain, blinking. Hopefully, that made sense.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Kenji had to admit, the stairs leading up to BlizzardClan's territory could be pretty intimidating. Hell, he had been been so nervous, he hadn't even attempted to climb them on the day he joined. So when Kenji saw the black she-cat sitting at the top, he was a bit surprised. Then again, not everyone was as big of a coward as he. Maybe this happened often?

The wolfdog hesitated for a few moments, unsure if he had the authority to greet a joiner. When nobody else showed up, he would clear his throat, preparing to speak. "U-Um... hi... c... can I have your name and business... please?" Kenji asked the stranger, nervously tugging at the yellow tie around his neck.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]It was still raining outside, the noise of the droplets hitting the roof consuming his every thought. Kenji had taken shelter in the doorway of an empty hut, but wasn't sure how long he had been sitting there. In this time, he had completely forgotten that he still needed to find a hut to stay in- until now of course.

Turning around, the boy would briefly look around the room. It wasn't too bad, a little dusty, but otherwise, there was plenty of space. Perhaps this would work?

After a few moments, he would finally decide to stay, nodding his head. "This will be perfect." Kenji mumbled to himself, padding to the back corner and putting his bag down on the floor. He would unpack later. For now, the wolfdog wanted to get some fresh air, as it seemed the rain outside had finally stopped. Or at least, he assumed, since he couldn't hear it bouncing off the roof anymore.

Walking back to the doorway, Kenji would sit down so that he was just partially in the sun, ignoring the droplets of water that occasionally fell on his back. Maybe things would get better from here on out... at least, he hoped so.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]This would be his first official clan meeting. Even though his friend had told him a bit about them before he arrived, Kenji was still quite curious as to what it would be like. Padding over, the wolfdog sat at the back of the crowd, looking around tentatively as he waited for the meeting to start.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Not knowing what to say, Kenji would stay silent until Cass answered Fadingmoon, somehow managing to speak up once more. "So... does that mean you're joining? Or...?" The wolf dog asked with a tip of his head. He assumed, since she said she had nowhere to be, but maybe she was still thinking it over?

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]"Yes, that's right." Relieved to see that she didn't have a problem with him being a former pet, Kenji would relax, shoulders slumping. Then, at her question, the wolf dog looked off to the side, pain in his dark brown eyes. "... My master... he... he died... from a heart attack..." He answered, ears flattening against his skull. "After they took him away, his family didn't come back to the house. They... they didn't want me... so I had no choice but to leave..." His best friend, Sakuma, a shiba inu, had offered to try and get his owners to take Kenji in, but in the end, the boy had concluded it would be better if he just left. He wondered if the shiba inu still thought of him... or maybe he had forgotten him already, like his former master's family.

Books, books, and more books. That was basically all Kenji had taken with him when he left his old home- aside from his stuffed yellow squirrel toy, which was currently lying in his nest.

Since he had nothing better to do today, he had decided to read outside. It was a beautiful afternoon- the sun was shining high in the sky and large, puffy white clouds lazily rolled past. It was fairly warm out, but the breeze helped to keep it at a comfortable temperature. Yup- it was practically perfect out.

But there was just one problem- Kenji couldn't decide which book to read.

Inside his hut, the wolf dog was shuffling through his stack of books, mumbling to himself every few moments and tossing a book to the side. Eventually, he reached the end of his stack, letting out a loud sigh of frustration. "Ughh... I don't want to read any of these!" Kenji would whine, frowning at the books currently scattered on the ground. Now what?

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Listening intently, the boy would bob his head at each announcement, trying to take it all in. There was a lot more than he had expected... nonetheless, he would do his best to remember most, if not, all of it.

Then at the mention of his name, he would perk up, ears twitching. A shout-out? That was... a good thing, right? From Sweetophelia's praise, it certainly seemed so. Excitement and pride filling his chest, the wolf dog would smile, dipping his head towards the leader in thanks. "Th-thank you, Sweet!" Kenji sputtered. "And um, c-congrats to everyone else!"
